i literally spent all of today wondering why there are seagulls on the tv album cover. then i finally realized. it’s because taylor was wearing a shirt with seagulls on it. also i realized that i couldn’t see her arms because the sleeves are white. now i’m sitting and giggling because. she put seagulls on the tv cover. and they look so bad.. just wear your seagull shirt babe.

also she's flat out said the seagulls mean nothing so why are they the 1 thing from the original she decided to carry through the re-recording.... ma'am....

Summary:

Following on from their previous night together in the hotel Crowley has a surprise for Aziraphale.

A smutty little one shot featuring our favourite Angel and a femme fatale. This is part two of the series Entanglements. You can read it as a standalone or read Corporate Hustlings first.

Text: Aziraphale straightened up his bowtie in the mirror. It had been a lovely day at the hotel. He had enjoyed the spa and swimming and a gorgeous afternoon tea.

After their little scenario the night before, Aziraphale had struggled to keep his hands off Crowley in the sauna. Crowley, however, insisted that he wait until tonight as he had another surprise for him.

Aziraphale was under strict instructions for the evening. He was to wait in the spa while Crowley was getting ready in the hotel room and then meet him in the restaurant later.

Aziraphale checked the time. He had five more minutes to fill. He finished off his cup of tea and fluffed his hair.

A Magnet for Trouble by @hellowkatey - Anakin gets too close to a Sith artifact, and Obi-Wan must figure out how to get his padawan back. Katie's Note: The Halloween vibes in this are amazing. It's such a unique little fic and I love it.

Four Walls and Two Jedi by hellowkatey again - Obi-Wan and Anakin get exposed to a deadly virus and must spend two weeks in quarantine battling sickness, ghosts from the past, and worries for the future. Katie's Note: This one has both Obi-Wan and Anakin whump so honestly, I am the target audience for this fic

Why Do You Feel So Down by Your_Old_Shipmate - The early days of Obi-Wan and Anakin, featuring a sick Anakin! Katie's Note: once again, I don't know their tumblr, but this is one of my favs.

Breaking Point - Anakin tries to prove himself. It ends in Force exhaustion and a worried Obi-Wan.

Under My Skin - Obi-Wan and Anakin crash land on a planet strong with the Force. It doesn’t agree with Anakin.

Below The Surface - Anakin gets swept out by the tide and Obi-Wan panics.

If you are a fan of rare pairings and don't mind a bit of dark spice, I absolutely recommend this. Despite this work being short, it shows how the Black family's mind works and how they use their beauty and shrewd wit to get what they want and how they are attracted to cruelty which had made Bellatrix attracted to James' dark side. The only thing that may seem a bit off in this, however, is the age difference which the writer probably had ignored in favour of the plot and believe me the plot is wonderful enough for the reader to ignore that completely.

jwds (joo won and dong sik) from beyond evil, because like. how can they not be! i find that every time i rewatch beyond evil, i find something new about their relationship that i just adore--like, of course they have that delicious enemies-to-lovers arc, but also there's the added themes of like. mental illness and what it means to love someone whose mind might not be altogether there? and how there's like. idk. something something about love means grabbing someone and going "hey. we're getting out of this hell together. together." and it drives me insane every time!

marvey (mike and harvey) from suits, because oh man. something about how they're both objectively Not Great people, but i think there's something fascinating about the whole "i see something in you that i also see in me" and the whole "yes i know that we're committing a crime together but fuck it" and also the whole "you exasperate me sometimes but also i would rather take the hits than betray you" which makes me feel. insane.

whouffaldi (twelve and clara) from doctor who. are we sensing a theme? the theme being "ah. caroline adores ships that are just like. people who are both very insane but are also very loyal to each other and also they're not making each other better and they might be making each other worse but fuck it!!! fuck it!!!!" something about what happens when you have two people who have an insane god complex and are also stubborn as hell and it's the worst possible combination and the universe would probably implode if they kept running together--like! i don't know how you can get away from that kind of insanity.

First ship: definitely whouffaldi. every once in a while, i'll rewatch season 8 and 9 of doctor who, and every time, i have to go ".. . .. i can't believe this was the first ship i really fell in love with. i had such good taste, even back then!"

Last song: guilty as sin? by taylor swift, which i definitely think has to be one of my favorites on the new album. i've definitely been applying it to a lot of my own ships because ah, yes. when people might not have even slept with each other but still think about it and then act incredibly catholic/christian about it.

Currently reading: oh god. so many books. i'm currently re-reading the perks of being a wallflower by steven chbosky, but i'm also listening to dark places by gillian flynn and the lesbiana's guide to catholic school by sonora reyes. it's taking me forever though, mostly because i think i've hit the point in the semester where i just want to shut my brain down the second i leave class lol

Last movie: my last real movie was probably ratatouille--which is such a classic.

Currently Craving: time. i feel like there aren't enough hours in the day for what i want to do today so that's a little bit frustrating, but! such is life! we carry on!

Five Favorite Fics

I was tagged by @kckenobi to list my five fav fics!! Thanks for the tag lovely!! 

1) The Lotus Eater - In a perfect world, the war ends, the Jedi live, and everyone gets a happily ever after. This world is everything Obi-Wan ever wanted. But in this world, nothing is as it seems.

This is my magnum opus. I adore this fic. It was so hard to write and yet so fun. I put so much energy into it and I think it turned out well. 

2) The Ground Beneath Us - Obi-Wan makes Anakin go on walks and maybe it saves the galaxy.

This fic just has a special place in my heart due to the soft, but serious nature of it. It is a fix it (which I don’t do that often) and I think I put a lot of myself into this one. Normally I project on Obi-Wan when I write, but in this one, I projected on Anakin quite a bit. It was a really fun one to write. 

3) Finding Obi-Wan - The only thing Obi-Wan Kenobi remembers about his life is his name. When he wakes up alone and without his memories in the lower levels of Coruscant, he must go on a journey to find himself while his friends try to find him — and maybe some of his enemies.

This is my current WIP (though I’m done writing it, posts on Saturdays!) and my longest fic to date. The total word count is around 85k, which is huge for me because I have zero attention span. This one was a joy to write. It’s angsty and funny and hopeful, and I had a smile on my face with every chapter I wrote. 

4) Like Flowers in Bloom - Ahsoka cannot mess up this early in her apprenticeship. Luckily her grandmaster is Obi-Wan — surely he can help her find Anakin the perfect birthday present, and maybe something else important along the way.

I love the largely unexplored dynamic between Obi-Wan and Ahsoka. Writing them together is a challenge but a good one, and this fic has a fun twist ending that I’m particularly proud of. 

5) Canary’s Song - Injected with an unknown serum, Obi-Wan is forced to reveal (and face) some difficult truths.

I had never done a truth serum fic until this one, and the angst and whump of it was really different to explore. Writing Obi-Wan so vulnerable is always an exciting challenge.
