A Style Force...Our latest Featured Dawning Soul is Sheryl Roberts. In her own words, this is who she affirms herself to be. “I AM everything my ancestors prayed for. I am whole. I am unique. I am courageous. I am grateful. I am persistent. I am a woman who has a story to tell. I am me.”

Sheryl is the owner of IndigoStyle Vintage. She has an incredible store in Brooklyn and online shop called The Collective at IndigoStyle. Through global sourcing, creative entrepreneurship and teamwork The Collective at IndigoStyle offers unique and distinctive vintage pieces, custom clothing, home, beauty and more. She focuses on one-of-a-kind items from local indie artisans/emerging designers.

Her customers range from local neighborhood loyalists to fashion forward industry/celebrity clientele. The boutique serves as an inclusive meeting place for all to shop, educate and commune. 

Sheryl is a professional model and actress with more than 20 years of experience, as well as an ex-wife, mom and entrepreneur with a passion for vintage fashion! She graced the covers of magazines such as Ebony, Essence Total Makeover, and Heart & Soul to creating the lifestyle brand and eco-conscious vintage clothing company IndigoStyle Vintage. Her mother is an antiques dealer so she grew up going to garage sales and flea markets.  As an avid vintage shopper, she developed a keen eye for quality. Traveling for years as a runway, showroom and print model helped her create the foundation for sourcing stylish eclectic apparel at affordable prices.

☆ Super Cool Antique Indigo Fireman’s🔥 jacket ♡♡♡ Kanji lettering on lapel says ‘Kawaura-ku Shobougumi ( Kawaura area fire team ) 川浦区 消防組’ and wonderful graphic character of the fire team logo at at back and fabulous Kakuji 角字 style kanji character at the bottom saying ‘shobou 消防’ which means fire fighting. I really love  the design ♡ One of the previous owners put patchwork on the right shoulder of the jacket. It makes a great jacket with jeans or any other items for men and women and also would be stunning to display as a fabulous piece of art.
