Peripherally.
The automation itself is more part of the general category of management strategies to restructure workflow and production methods in order to reduce the need for, and thus the power of, labor. This dates back to the origins of Taylorism itself in the 1890s as an effort to “steal the brains from underneath the cap of labor” and through to the emergence of Human Relations and Industrial Psychology in the early 20th century as a means to better control workers. So I think you could see in as essentially equivalent to classic speed-up and stretch-out efforts to maintain production at as low a cost as possible during a strike, and thus break the union.

However, the dirty truth of automation is that there is no clean way to fully substitute machinery for labor. Due to the inherent limitations of technology at any stage of development, you need labor to repair and maintain and monitor automated systems, you need labor to install and operate the machines, you need labor to design and program and manufacture the machines. (This is one reason why the job-killing predictions around automation often fall flat, because the supposedly superior new technology often requires a significant increase in human labor to service the new technology when it breaks. For example, this is why automation in fast food has proven to be so difficult and partial than expected: it turns out that self-checkout machines are actually very expensive to operate in terms of skilled manpower.) And to the extent that a given automation contract or project is being undertaken during a strike in order to break that strike, that’s absolutely scabbing.

I think i might've offhandedly mentioned Eggman's company before in one of my earlier posts but figured i'd go a little more into it.
Gonna be completely honest i still don't have a concrete name for his business yet ABSJDFH. I mean Eggman as a name is catchy enough to be used as a company name - it's like Mr Clean to me. for now i'll just refer to it as Eggman industries for simplicity's sake.
OKAY SO. Eggman's company to the public eye is nothing more than a simple multi million dollar cleaning and home appliance manufacturer. His machines are well crafted and like ridiculously sturdy, these fuckers do NOT break (FOR REASONS I WILL EXPLAIN LATER ABSJDF) and also don't rely on electricity or normal ass batteries to run, making them really popular due to how much money people are saving by using em (of course it does mean that they're like stupidly expensive too)
HOWEVER. that is not where Eggman specializes! he designs and builds artillery bots that only a select few organisations or people know of can buy (for their own nefarious reasons;;). Omega is one of these bots however he had a couple problems so he was kept as a cleaning robot (tragic, AND YES I AM 100% REUSING MY BOOM!OMEGA CONCEPT).
Eggman's main thing is that his appliances don't require electricity due to their built in batteries!!!...... the batteries are animals (who doesn't love a flicky in their washing machine <3). Obviously Eggman does not want people finding out about this so he makes his appliances virtually indestructible - you could throw that dish washer off a 20 story building and trust it will still work.
AS YOU CAN SEE HIS BUSINESS IS INCREDIBLY UNETHICAL. and also expensive as hell, he wants to find a different energy source (wink wonk chaos drives) since animals can only grant so much however that research requires funding, and a whole lot of it - and that's where Triple S come in. Eggman knows that boy bands make a shit load of money if they're successful and marketing is no issue for him so he went ahead and scouted for 3 normal ass guys he could bring in to form a band. Oh and he mainly wants a different source for the artillery bots!!
Again to like, every person ever, it's incredibly weird for Eggman to suddenly manage a boy band of all things when his whole company is around home appliances but ehhhh who cares the music bangs.

A/N: Part 3 of the Apotheosis au, previous part here. This one started out as a manager perspective inspired by @always-a-joyful-note's comment in the server but Kujo took over
Kujo had taken the signs and reveled in their promise, in the change he and Haruki had wrought. They’d taken something that was only a dream, a mere thought, a mere human, and created a legacy that would outlive them all as long as lips whispered that name in exhultation—or sorrow, as it came to pass. Years of work crafting the perfect melodies to become hymns, the chants that would become prayers and supplications, his grand experiment ruined by fear and a narrow mind that didn’t appreciate the scale of what he’d accomplished. Of how much he had bestowed on his Patient Zero. 
No matter. There would always be more subjects now that the process was unleashed into the industry. 
Re:vale had had the slowest development, resisting at every turn and a near failure after five years of torturous progress. Faulty elements were to be removed, new reagents added, the vessels cleaned and the process kick-started once again. This time, none of the clashing personalities that had kept holding them back, and with a synergy that was closer than ever, a perfect pair. They climbed up to reign from the top, and no one questioned the dreams and deals, the luck and lies, the truths and tricks that they spread with liberal hands and fae smiles. Those who seek to enter their court would bring gifts and supplication, but they’d be better to watch their words the most. They are but a breath and yet are the highest currency. 
ZOOL rose by tooth and by claw, by venom and anger, tossed in as sacrifices to the machine of revenge. Thrown in as befouled ingredients, their passage through the crucible of the public found that taint revered. Every crack and scowl, all the impurities and rough edges, adored in their own time and molded into their new forms with an unexpected ferocity. Teeth and claws gifted by their fans, pestilence and war forged into their voices, famine and death to come when they call. Though their hearts may turn, their anger cooling and venom no longer filling their mouths, the ride does not stop, they are bound to the fate of devastation. That is the price of the process.
Tsumugi cast the spell of Idolish7, and bound them together with a name that would never break. She knew the pantheon in the seven-headed hydra before she was aware of what she saw, naivety and innocence powering her wish to show them to the world and determination the fuel that set them ablaze. A rainbow of vices, beautiful in their messy mistakes, and those very flaws that belied their humanity became the shapes that would contain them forevermore. Tied to their flaws and yet worshipped for them, their gluttony and lust met with laughs and their pride and wrath met with cheers, they found their final fate cast in the stone of their spellbound fans. 
Convinced to entrust the legacy of the process to another with the same ambitions, Kujo offered a progeny as the central cog, if Yaotome would provide his own flesh and blood for the altar too. The process is not normally one to obey the machinations of men, unless steered by an iron hand and a ruthless eye. Cast from the crushed remains of raw diamonds, manufactured with the perfect components and assembled with clinical precision, what could be the product but manifestations, dripping with desire. And if an idol falls from its pedestal, there will always be others. Their manager—equipped at first only with calipers and loupe, blowtorch and hacksaw—picked up cloth and polish to rescue what was left. But they’d changed too much to leave, grown soft and lithe despite their birthplace of metal and gems, and the process had claimed them for its own. Offer enough blood and sweat and the most stubborn gears will move, and thus were they swallowed.

Stamping and machining processes can leave metal parts with burrs that can affect the fit, function and durability of metal parts.
When these parts are destined for food or pharmaceutical production equipment or fuel lines and gear assemblies used in aerospace manufacturing, burrs are more than just a surface imperfection – they’re a potentially catastrophic defect that can prevent the proper sealing or connection between two parts, become dislodged near moving parts, or cause seizing of screws and other fasteners.
To prevent such risks, manufacturers in many industries often specify electropolishing as the final step in finishing their critical metal parts.
How Does Electropolishing Work?
Electropolishing is a highly effective finishing process for removing metal surface defects like microburrs caused by processes like broaching, fine blanking, grinding, lapping or milling.
Using a combination of a chemical bath and a rectified electrical current, electropolishing removes a precise and uniform layer of surface material, leaving behind a shiny, smooth, passive and defect-free surface.
Among other advantages, electropolishing can remove a microscopically precise amount of surface material with surface roughness improvement of up to 50%, eliminating surface defects for high-quality results within very tight tolerances.
By eliminating microcracks and other defects that can harbor bacteria or become initiation sites for corrosion, electropolishing also leaves metal parts with significantly improved resistance to corrosion and pathogen growth. The ultrasmooth surface finish that electropolishing leaves behind has been shown to inhibit the formation of bacterial biofilms that can be resistant to ordinary cleaning methods. The finish also leaves behind a surface that is easier to clean, without cracks or defects where pathogens can hide – a critical advantage for medical, pharmaceutical and food and beverage production.
Why Use Electropolishing for Deburring?
Fragile or intricate metal parts, like those used for medical devices and implants, are not well suited for finishing processes like mechanical or vibratory polishing, which can damage fragile parts or create inconsistent results for parts with complex shapes.
Successful deburring for critical metal parts is contingent upon the ability to remove a precise layer of surface material. No other process can match electropolishing for its ability to control the material removal to +/- .0002”.
By deburring the threads on metal fasteners, for example, electropolishing can reduce the risk of adhesion between two mating surfaces, also known as “galling,” which can cause material between the surfaces to deteriorate and seize up when parts are pressed together.
Burrs can also shorten the lifespan of a part, by breaking off or becoming an initiation site for corrosion.
Larger burrs that occur as the result of rough milling or displaced metal from drilling operations, however, may need pre-treatment using other methods. Likewise, heavy die break burrs caused by improper tooling maintenance will generally require additional treatment.
Much in the way that lightning is drawn to the highest points, electropolishing delivers higher current density on the high points or edges which makes it ideal for micro-deburring The customized nature of the electropolishing process, from racking to chemical formulation to timing, would be of little value if it could not be reproduced consistently. But unlike other finishing processes, electropolishing is prized for its consistent results.
Electropolishing also offers a key advantage for parts with critical microfinishes or made from the lighter, more fragile materials increasingly used in the manufacturing of medical devices, electrical components and semiconductors, among other industries. These parts are not suitable for mass finishing techniques that can create distortion, nicks and scratches. Electropolished parts are individually racked to prevent contact and ensure the even application of the process for even the most fragile parts.

Blue Beetle (2023)
Blue Beetle reminds me mostly of the first Amazing Spider-Man movie. It's not capital-B bad, but it could be a lot better. Part of it is that Angel Manuel Soto, like Marc Webb, simply isn't a cinematic genius like Sam Raimi.
Another is that the adaptation changes a lot of the source material, not to make it more interesting or anything, but to make it MORE generic. The plot is almost exactly like Ant-Man, for fuck's sake.
OG hero used to run a benevolent corporation, but he's been forced out by the villain, who wants to use his tech for military purposes (wait, wouldn't that mean we'd be sending all that evil military technology over to Ukraine to help fight Putin? I guess we're not supposed to think about that.) Legacy hero stumbles into the OG hero's tech and gets help from OG hero's daughter to take back the corporation. There's similar wholesale plagiarism from the Iron Man and Spider-Man movies (how many missiles are there that have manufacturer logos on them, really?).
Another weirdness is that in the comics, Jaime actually has friends. In the movie, the only people he ever talks to are his family, his love interest, and the villains (which doesn't stop the movie from doing a THE IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNITY epilogue--yeah, where were you guys when the Reyes family was getting their shit pushed in on the front lawn?). It's odd to think nerdy loser Peter Parker was at least friends with Harry and on speaking terms with MJ, while clean-cut, handsome everyman Jaime has no social skills.
It's not saying much, but the movie is a little better at tone than modern Marvel. It plays way too many pop songs during serious moments, but it can also shut up at times. It still gets cartoony as hell with Jaime's grandma turning into John Wick--yeah, she kills people with a machine gun--and his uncle knowing how to pilot a hover-ship--which doesn't mesh well with the director dropping references to social issues like they're Green Lantern story arcs. Okay, are we a wacky cartoon or are we trying to make a statement about gentrification? I guess both!
Speaking of which, the movie keeps Jaime's no-kill rule, but lets his family blow up, blast, and even fucking IMPALE henchmen like there's no tomorrow. And it makes a point of having sympathetic villains and spelling out how desperately the disadvantaged Reyes family needs jobs. I guess none of those mooks just needed to pay for their family home. They all willingly chose to do evil by... working for a legitimate military contractor and trying to recover stolen property/guard private property.
And it's another movie where they make the villains cartoonishly racist instead of faux progressive like any real evil billionaire would be. There's a bit where a receptionist is told Jaime's name when he introduces himself (pronounced Haime) and she keeps mispronouncing it Jamie because... she knows how it's spelled and she's willingly pronouncing it the Anglo way instead of how he just told her it was pronounced? Like this sort of thing wouldn't immediately get recorded, posted on Twitter, and end up costing her her job? But, you know, I guess that's a sign of how evil Victoria Kord is, that she's carefully choosing racist receptionists who assume that a Mexican in a business suit must be a deliveryman.
That whole sequence... which is how Jaime gets his powers... is kinda a mess. Okay, he texts Jenny Kord for a job interview, but she doesn't know he's coming or set an appointment, because that's when she's stealing the Scarab. So I guess this pre-law college grad just decided to show up at Kord Industries and lie about having an appointment with a member of the board... so he could get a job interview... instead of waiting for her to text him back?
I know the movie is about alien technology and flying superheroes, but can we at least have them act like real people when it comes to things like job interviews, when everyone in the audience knows how those work?
Still, the movie stays mostly on the rails until the third act, where you get a patent example of just how bad modern blockbuster making has gotten. Everywhere Raimi's Spider-Man movies were smooth, streamlined, and organic, this movie's third act is cluttered and clumsy. Jaime himself is sidelined for an unbelievable interval, while every member of his family gets a hero moment and/or a pep talk to give to Jaime. They all blend together, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of them got more than one.
And still the climax crams in more STUFF, from a last-minute redemption arc (again, more than one!) to a teachable moment between Jaime and his AI. None of this comes across as earned or stirring. And there's an unforgivable bit where Jaime's final power-up is blended with the villain going Super Saiyan and yet more side characters setting off one in a long line of explosives.
There's some many obviously cruddy writing moments like that. There's a scene where Jaime and Jenny easily escape pursuit, right next to a scene where they have their first encounter with the villainous Carapax in the exact same circumstances... couldn't some of that be merged or dumped so we had more time to spend on the development that's shoved in willy-nilly?
I'm not saying the first Spider-Man was Shakespeare, but we got a good idea of Peter, May, Mary Jane, Harry, Norman, and how they all related to each other... even foreshadowing of where their paths would continue on in future movies. In the last five minutes of Blue Beetle, they're still explaining Carapax's motivation! His last words are basically "I just remembered my backstory!" No, director-man, you gotta weave that into the narrative. We can't care about something when we heard about it for the first time ten seconds ago!
