it probably goes without saying, but iwa is not the kind of guy to half ass things. he recognises that you probably weren't aware of the gravity in you knocking on his door for help (and maybe you might've thought twice about it if you had) but for him, that simple act solidified months of watching. waiting. you knocked, and you can't take it back.

he's killed for you. can't take that back, either.

you're his girl. not for a night, not for the next few months. his, that's it. full stop, end of fucking story. and he wasn't joking when he told you to stay – you're not going back to your apartment. hell, if it were up to iwa, you wouldn't be leaving his bed at all.

If I had a nickel for every time Batman and Joker died together in what can be described as murder/suicide, because Joker is enacting his final plan against Batman and calling Batman "Bruce" to signify the end of the game, and someone yelling for Bruce to get away and try to survive but he doesn't... I'd have two nickels, but it's weird that it happened twice:

Shortly after midnight on 24 May 1859, a human skeleton in the uniform of a steward from the lost expedition was found on a gravel ridge near the mouth of Peffer River on the island’s southern shore.

Most of the words in the messages were spelled backwards and ended with capital letters, as if the end were the beginning.

man thinking about vriska and terezi. how terezis dying regret was that she was so determined that she HAD to kill vriska she ignored all evidence to the contrary. its a rite of passage. its a sacrifice. its a murder.

it makes me feel all the worse for ghost!vriska, because in losing the coin flip, she eventually lost everything. her reputation, her confidence, and finally, her relevance. she fought the hardest against the narrative going without her. terezi didnt just kill her she killed everything she represented and clawed for.

so to find each other again at the end of all things. while vriska and terezi in the new timeline are now forever apart.

there is no way for these two girls to win. it doesnt matter where the coin falls.
