Repost from @weirracing. World's first and only 200mph standing mile STOCK LONGBLOCK 5.8L GT500!!! Eddie came to us with a goal of achieving 200mph in his 3.4L @whipplesuperchargers 2013 GT500 at @thetexasmile (March 24, 2018)... with the factory engine! Considering nobody had achieved this feat, we knew this would require quality parts and careful planning from Weir Racing and an outstanding build by London Chassis Dyno. Simply relying on making huge power would send a factory connecting rod through the block... It had to be an efficient setup. Chad, Willie, and Donavan over in London, Kentucky did top notch work as always, keeping the wiring neat, fuel & cooling systems plumbed efficiently, the suspension set up just right, etc. A huge @jltperformance air intake fed the blower and a @foreinnovations fuel system and @injectordynamics injectors supplied plenty of @vpracingfuels C85. @lund_racing was responsible for calibrating the factory PCM. @vikingperformance front coilovers & rear shocks helped reduce weight and got the car to hook the @hoosiertire R7's on the unprepped runway. @wilwooddiscbrakes slowed the car down while helping further reduce weight from this full interior street car. A set of @forgeline wheels offered a safe, strong, and lightweight option while providing a unique look. Gotta admit we weren't sure how the blue wheels would turn out, but the pictures don't do them justice. The car looks amazing with them! Track side support from the London Chassis Dyno / Weir Racing team helped Eddie drive this car consistently to back-to-back-to-back 200mph passes! Great job Eddie and welcome to the 200+ club!
