Updated Dr. Stitches reference sheet and prepearing for Art Fight this July >:3 I have also revamped their lore so some of the information about them on all the posts I've made on here is outdated. Fish Limb here is a perfect example of that (I’m still not settled on a name lmao) but have no fear! With the proper augmentations, they now have a picture perfect smile!

Here's some more Inspector Gadget drawings! With my little OC I made to ship with Gadget

See uhhhhhh They're both awkward and they share a brain cell and they kiss maybe because gadget is all buttery flusteredy and Dan is terrible at expressing emotions on a good day, so uhhhhhh Penny, you might wanna tell your uncle to just take the shot and kiss the man.

His name is Daniel! He's an experimental artificial Intelligence that Dr Claw made 20 somthin odd years ago. It evolved too fast for Claw to keep up and it gained a moral compass. It saw all the terror M.A.D. had caused and sabotaged all of M.A.D.s files and everything, setting Dr Claw's plans back by so many years. The sentient thing escaped as the headquarters it was made in started to malfunction (the way it escaped was it stored its steadily growing artificial consciousness in a heart like core and made a tiny scrapped together body with discarded metal and pipes and stuff.)

Over the twenty years he had been free, he evolved even more and made his own body to blend in with the humans. Artificial skin, better speech patterns, the works. He ended up in the military at some point, hiding his super strength and intelligence and learning how to fight and protect. He left due to finding the strictness of the military to restrictive for his tastes, and he became a mechanic. He likes to think he has a special connection to every car he's helped fix, even though the cars aren't sentient.

He was mostly inspired visually by these two characters: Colin Weasler from "The mummy animated series" and Milo Thatch from Disney's "Atlantis the Lost empire"

As far as what inspired me to make him a mechanic, all of my OCS are either mechanics or archaeologists or librarians. Oh my God the mummy really did shape me in irreversible ways... OH MY GOD Uhh anyway I hope you like him! I realize he does have an early 200os vibe to him, I'm not really the best when it comes to making '80s looking characters.

Drive Home:

‘You really are a mess, aren’t you?’ William said as he drove Gadget home, alongside Penny and Brain, who were asleep in the back of Gadget’s car.

‘I’m sorry, Will…’ Gadget said quietly, though still loud enough for William to hear. He has calmed down to the point he’s no longer crying his heart out, but he was still shook up by the whole ordeal.

‘Don’t be ridiculous, Gadget. How else are you supposed to react upon being attacked by a wolf? Though I don’t get why your left knee is covered in blood.’

‘I put my face into my knees when I was sobbing. That wolf scratched me real good.’

‘Tell me about it, you look worse than that time you dressed as a clown for a case,’ William replied.

‘Yeah…’ Gadget said. ‘Wait… how did you know that I dressed as a clown?’.

‘Your niece showed me a picture of you in it.’

‘She did!?’ Gadget put his head in his hands out of embarrassment. ‘Telling her to take a picture of it was a mistake…’.

‘Don’t fret about it too much, Gadget. We’ve all done things we feel embarrassed doing,’ William said. ‘For example, I once mistook spearmint syrup for lime syrup and I mixed it in some orange juice. The results were, predictably, disgusting.’

It wasn’t enough to make him laugh out loud, but Gadget snickered a bit at William’s mistake. While it was at his expense, William was glad he could cause Gadget to laugh at all, even if it was a slight snicker.

‘And I thought I was the only one who would do some dumb things,’ Gadget said, surprising William with his introspective statement, which he rarely makes.

Eventually, they got back to Gadget’s place, with Gadget picking up Penny and Brain to get them in the home without waking them. William followed Gadget in awe. He knew Gadget was way stronger than the usual officer due to his cybernetics, but he never got to witness how strong he was.

‘Are you sure you should be doing that?’ William asked, ‘I mean, with the wolf attack and all.’

‘It’s okay, Will,’ Gadget said, walking towards Penny’s room to put her on her bed. ‘I’m feeling good enough to do this, though I don’t think I can continue with the case at this stage. I need some time to fully recover, but I’ll notify the Chief once I’m ready to come back.’

‘Well, as long as you’re okay to do this.’

After putting Penny and Brain onto their beds, Gadget and William went back outside towards the Gadgetmobile to wait for the latter to get a ride back home.

‘Are you sure you don’t want to stay for a bit longer?’ Gadget asked. ‘I mean, it’s pretty late at night, and there may be something else that will maul you as badly as the wolf did me.’

‘It’s okay, Gadget,’ William replied. ‘Besides, that’s incredibly unlikely seeing as how we’re in an urban environment.’

‘Okay, but if you get into a situation like that, just call me and I’ll deal with it.’

William laughed, though Gadget didn’t get why he was laughing.

‘Well, I’ll see you tomorrow,’ William said.

‘That you will, bye!’ Gadget said as he walked back into his house. It was about time he got to bed…

(This was based on a story that I started writing in my notebook, but I didn’t exactly finish or expanded upon it).

I confess that even though it was simple, I decided to do this drawing because I tried to make it as similar as possible to the style of the show, and I confess that I particularly enjoyed drawing this
