hey not to be like "re: lrb" but it's really funny how every time OCD happens to come up in conversations with irls, they're like "wait, you've never been diagnosed with it?" and yet psych intakes somehow decide that the way i describe thought spirals isn't ritualistic enough, or something, i fucking guess

This is just a drawing I made quickly for an AU for one of my OC's.

on the right is the OC in question; that is the adult version of the BillFord OC I made Rosealee Pines.

the one on the left is my first version of Shiftys "human" disguise; I'm not 100% satisfied with he looks so I'm still working on it :>

in the AU: Rosealee lives in a refurbished abandoned Firewatch tower; she had isolated herself there out of fear of her unstableness/powers would hurt people. (She did that when she was 17, back in 1993.)

Rosealee is the baby in my other post with the ritual summoning

Rosealee after isolating herself didn't really have much contact with other people (aside from Stan, Shifty, Mcgucket are the main ones...) and she would deter people away from the Firewatch tower.... however, when dipper + mable arrive to gravity falls; she is re-introduced into public (with great resistance mind you; and during that time, she is 35).

Shifty in this AU was raised/ grew up as harshly as in cannon; i mean he still does get tested on but he isn't trapped in the bunker. he is more so raised as more part of family, because Ford in this AU sees more child-like manors and "humanity" in shiftey. Shiftey in this AU (and as a shifty au, if wanted) has a "public" name, and that name is Marty Pines. He commonly switches between names at home but only uses Marty when around public and at first with mable + dipper.

shifty was "hatched" 4 years after Rosealee was "born". so he became the younger sibling to her. his human "disguise" is a combo between Ford and FiddleFord's appearance (I'm still working on it :/) as well as a mix of his true form :>

had a consultation with a therapist todaycand it seemed like he was like. well i've looked at this patients intake form and i need to figure out how to soft launch the idea that he might have a dissociative disorder to him

had my first ever therapy session today. and it went well! it really did. my therapist is lovely and im actually excited to go back next week. things are okay. but ive been stuck in Fear Mode all day and it is. exhausting. i keep noticing im clenching every muscle in my body and i try to relax but it just starts happening again as soon as i get distracted. i wish my body could get with the program and turn off the fight flight freeze response already :/ the slow tigers are gone!! they are not chasing me anymore!!
