Jude and I, along with our three energetic kids, Arlo, Lily, and Mia, were getting ready for a delightful day out. “Alright, everyone, let's get our shoes on! We’re going to have the best lunch ever,” I announced, fixing my breezy sundress in the mirror. Jude was wrangling little Mia into her shoes while Arlo and Lily giggled, racing around the house. “Don’t run in the house! You’ll break something!” I yell out to my 4 and 5 year old to get their attention. “I want ice cream!” Arlo exclaimed to his father, his excitement apparent as he tugged at Jude’s hand.

“Of course, buddy, but let’s have some real food first, yeah?” Jude chuckled, tousling Arlo's hair affectionately. I smiled at the sight, my heart swelling with warmth as I watched my husband effortlessly connect with our children. I couldn’t ask for a better man to be the father of my children. 

As Jude and I were following behind our children who were leaving the house, he pulled me in by my waist. I was shocked by the sudden action and gasped, “Jude!” He looks into my eyes and then down to my lips. “You look delicious, my love.” He leaned down to peck my lips. I protested into the kiss. “Baby. Not now.” I said sternly, but secretly blushing at my husband's actions. He let go of me and let me walk out of the house, him following close behind. He curved his neck to see if our kids were watching and gave me a quick spank. “Jude!”

After a satisfying lunch filled with laughter, spilled drinks, and mess, we made our way to the park. Arlo took charge, leading his sisters on a wild adventure through the playground while Jude and I watched closely, trailing behind them. We share knowing glances. “Do you ever remember us being that full of energy?” Jude whispered, his hand finding Y/N’s as they strolled along the path.

I grinned, squeezing his hand gently. “I wouldn’t trade this chaos for anything in the whole wide world” I replied, stealing a quick kiss. The kids, oblivious to their parents’ tender moment, continued their antics, racing around in a game of tag that seemed to have no end.

“Lily, mind your sister please.” Jude chimes in. Just as he said that, the youngest got pushed over in the midst of the chaos caused by the older two. Jude and I jump up to check on Mia. She’s crying loudly, however she is fine. Jude picks her up and bounces her up and down in an attempt to cheer her up. 

“Now, what did I tell you guys?” I asked the kids. “Be careful.” They said simultaneously. “Yes, and did you do that?” I followed up. “No, mama.” They said once again. I crouched down to speak to them at their level. “Right. Now, I want you to go to your sister and apologize and give her the biggest hug.” I told them. They sprung up and jumped up at their dad in an attempt to reach their sister. Jude squatted on the floor and put the baby at eye level. They smothered her with hugs and kisses and she started laughing her little bum off. Mia wriggles in Jude's arms, trying to get out, so he lets her down. She waddles back out to the small grass hill where she and her siblings were playing and the fun began once again.

As the sun began to set, Jude and I scooped up our children and moved to where the spring fireworks would be taking place. We found the perfect spot to settle down and laid our fuzzy picnic blanket out. Jude and I lay down with Mia in his arms. Arlo and Lily snuggled up between us, their eyelids gradually growing heavy with the promise of dreams. Mia, nestled in my arms, gazed wide-eyed at the colorful bursts in the sky as Arlo pointed out the shapes and sizes of them. 

As the final firework fizzled out, the kids now fast asleep, Jude leaned in close to me, his voice low and suggestive. “You know, watching fireworks isn’t the only thing that lights up the night.” I laughed softly, feeling a familiar spark ignite between us. “I think we can manage to find some more sparks later,” He teased, his eyes dancing with mischief as we gathered our sleeping children, Lily and Arlo in their father’s arms and me pushing Mia’s stroller and headed home, the memory of our playful day lingering like a sweet summer breeze.

Getting my pride gallacrafts/Molly's dtiys finished! I had an idea in my head how I wanted it to go, but it wasn't coming together at first. Mi Amor,

I'm so glad you like the name Mia. It feels good to know I can give her something and be a part of this whole thing, even if i can't be there. I wish I was there to help with the cramps. I owe you a whole bunch of foot rubs when I get back. Fuck, I owe you a lot more than that, you're giving me a daughter! It still does seem real.

Mia is way better than what my friend Santi has been calling her, Guppy. He thinks he's funny given what my nickname is. (It's a long story, I'll tell you it when I finally get back to you.) I hope you don't mind me talking to Santi about you, he could tell just from one look that something was going on with me. I couldn't keep the 'stupid grin' (his words) off my face.

I can't believe how much I miss you. No, you know what, I can. I keep thinking about what you said in your first letter, about how I made you feel that night. That night meant so much to me. Even without how it turned out. I'm not usually in the habit of doing that in public bathrooms. I don't know what came over me, whatever was/is between us just felt special. I didn't want to wait a second more to touch you. You made me feel like no one has for a very long time, if ever.

I can't wait to see you again, even if it is just over Facetime. I'm so excited to talk to her. I'd like to tell her a bedtime story that my mama told me. I keep thinking about holding her in my arms as she falls asleep and keeping her safe from the world.

Taylor swift inspired blurb for the loves of my life

It was a long overdue girls night for Outer Banks’ favorite trio. The three of you had been working really hard at school, and you all needed a good night to relax and enjoy yourselves.

Sarah arrived to your place first, as usual. She’d brought along everything you guys could need from cupcakes to cookies.

“Let’s get this party started,” Kiara danced her way through your door with a bottle rosé in one hand and some of your favorite pop tarts in the other.

One thing lead to another, and after some lady Gaga Karaoke and some pizza, you night started off strong.

You all sat together on your couch and watch all your childhood favorite movies, from Hannah Montana to Mama Mia.

Once it got to the early hours of the morning, the rosé was opened and the gossiping started.

“You and JJ!,” Sarah shrieked. “Shut the front door, finally.”

“What do you mean finally,” you laughed at her, refilling your and her glasses.

“I feel like I’ve been waiting since we were 5 for you to get together,” Kiara laughed, Sarah nodding her head in agreement.

Somehow, many hours later, you woke up on the floor of your living floor, wrapped in a blanket.

Minutes later, Kiara and Sarah both awoke, the three of you looking between each other trying to remember the moments before you all fell asleep.

“How the hell did we end up on the ground,” you looked between the girls for answer.

“Kiara’s cheap ass screw top rosé, that’s how,” Sarah answered, the three of you bursting into a fit of laughter at your antics.

Frankie, my dearest,

Somehow you have the power to make me emotional with every letter you send. Happiness, sadness (that you’re not here), joy, desire…

Although foot rubs sound amazing, my back could use some attention too (painkillers don’t always work, and I don’t want to have too much of them).

Your mama must know what goes in my mind, because the day she came to visit – with a lot more food – and I was about to ask her for a shirt of yours, she pulled three of them out of her bag. “You two should have something from papa”, she said. She’s adorable!

I wear them to sleep and around the house. They’re pretty comfy! I might need more. Though I have to say, when I smelled you on them, it did things to me, taking me back to that night…

You mentioned you wanted to see my belly growing with Bean. I haven’t been very confident in my somewhat swollen body, especially in the last few weeks. But I thought you deserved it. And if it’s the only way we can share this wild journey together, then I’m willing to do it. I’ve been taking pictures of myself every Monday, and now that I have enough and they show significant change, I’m sending them to you. I wrote the date and the corresponding week of the pregnancy on the back of all of them. The last one I made sure to wear one of your shirts. ;)

On the other hand, your mama has been accompanying me to the ultrasounds now. On the last one, the doctor had the final image done in 3D. It was… strange seeing it. I’m not gonna lie, I got a bit of a panic attack there. Mama was crying out of happiness too. I cried as well, even though I wasn’t sure what made me cry. It was a chaotic moment, to say the least. I’ve, of course, included that picture in the envelope as well.

I’ve been a little tired lately. I’m having trouble falling asleep lately, but I guess that’s part of the whole thing. Whenever it happens, I wish you were here so you could hold me in your arms, and I’d be at ease, in peace, and be able to rest a little even if I couldn’t sleep…

Is that… weird to say? I’m sorry. Maybe I shouldn’t have.

and finally: grandmas song, deep into the ground, he could be a star and once we were kids from billy elliot, and yes i cry at most of act 2, i was raised working class in a working class area that was once revered for its industry and has since been forgotten and left to drown in poverty, how am i meant to not cry at it?

do you write/draw/create: all three! granted i havent done much of the first two in a while, but on my defense, losing 7-8 months worth of your memories kind of fucks you up and its oddly time consuming. also developing fainting attacks and spending a week in hospital while they fail to figure out whats wrong with you other than weirdly low blood pressure does not help. but i do have a drawing planned out to do and while i went a little too much detail on one small detail (i will justify it as soon as i actually finish it), im going to finish it. i also do origami pretty often as well as baking, and i am currently building a wooden replica of the titanic AND LISTEN, i started before the titan submersible stuff happened and i havent touched it yet because it just feels weird to, you know? also, i didnt even want to do the titanic, but like, good luck finding any starter kits that arent a) titanic and b) upwards of a £100. i would love to do a ss malolo or a mts stockholm but that aint happening and while i might be able to find an ss normandy or ss united states, im not gonna be able to afford. its titanic or bust which sucks.

Most important thing in your life ? Family is always my number 1. But coming in close second is my job which I just love sooo much.  I’ve been working really hard, and finally, I’m able to find my place in the company, and I am truly going really far in my career.

What do you want most in the world right now ? I want my family to fly to Switzerland so I can show them around, cook meals for them, drink wine with them, take photographs, and enjoy every single minute.

If you could tell your past self something, what would it be ? I am proud of you. After everything that’s happened, you’ve stayed true to yourself, and you never let the harshness of the world turn your heart cold.

What would you say to your future self ? We’re going really far, you and me. Let’s keep this smile up - everybody loves it :)

Something you do to de-stress ? I take a long, hot bath

Best personal gift someone could give you ? I love written letters. Also I make songs for the most special people in my life, so it’d be nice to have songs written for me

Movie you’d like to live in ? I’d like to be in a Wes Anderson film just to see how Wes would portray me. How he’d see me in his eyes. But, tbh this is a tough one. For travel, food, and anything lovely, I’d love to live in Under the Tuscan Sun. Or maybe Mama Mia cos I looove Greece. But to relive my childhood memories, definitely Harry Potter minus the scary stuff lol

currently watching: Letterkenny. I went to a bunch of Toronto Blue Jays preseason games, and hearing the lovely Ontario accents and speech patterns made me miss this show. I haven’t made it to the final season yet, so the completionist part of me wants that badge too.

sweet/savoury/spicy: sweet to the extreme.

relationship status: single and comfortable until the right thing comes along.

current obsession: I’m excited for the new Bridgerton season. Just finished Evie Dunmore’s League of Extraordinary Women series, which is set in a similar time with similar modernization of style (and spice).

last thing I googled: Dewey decimal system for a tumblr chain post (kinda like this).

Three Ships: SoMa and Pynch are always my go-to but lately I’ve also been really into BakuDeku and have spent an unreal amount of time writing fics about them in my head during this season of bnha. one day i might write a fic about them OUTSIDE of my head but the jury’s still out on that

Currently Reading: under threat of bodily harm from my sister I have sworn I’m going to start Daisy Jones and the Six so we can finally watch the Amazon prime show that just came out

Last Movie: Mama Mia! and we’re watching the sequel tonight :)

Craving: giving up Cap’n Crunch for Lent was a terrible idea. is it possible to have withdrawals bc of cereal? clawing at the walls of my enclosure and dreaming of the Cap’n
