A question for Wildsong and/or Tornface <3 What’s your favorite part of being in StarClan? Would you say you’re at peace?

“Oh,” the dark tom hummed, “that’s a hard question.” He appeared distracted as he spoke, gaze drawn beneath his paws. All you could see is the glittering grass which paved StarClan’s hunting grounds, but it seemed that the young warrior witnessed something more.

“There are a lot of things I love about being here,” he chirped ashe turned a smile upon you. “I get to watch as many birds as I want as much as I want, there are some I didn’t even see when I was alive! And the clan stuff isn’t so tense, I’ve been able to make new friends - like Stoatfur! He was MountainClan,” he spoke pleasantly.

“Apparently we were alive at the same time, but I don’t really remember him from then. I also have a huge family! My Mum said she listened to all of my prayers, and Orchid is so sweet, and- oh?” His head swiveled as he gazed over her shoulder. You could not see at what.

“I’ve got to go, that’s my tabby calling!” He hopped to his paws, turning away from the conversation, “visit again sometime!”

“There isn’t much I enjoy,” the tom answered with a frown, his shoulders squared, “being dead and all.” He appeared leaps and bounds better than he had upon his deathbed, but his mood had not improved in the same way.

“I feel strong again,” he continued, and something familiar - yet unsettling - glinted in his gaze. Sure enough, the bulk that had withered away as his ailment progressed was now stacked thick across his form.

“My brother has begun to make ammends. I never thought I’d see the day. Well,” he chuckled, the sound a little jaded, “I suppose I didn’t? I’ve also been able to be a brother to Hootkit, and I’ve been watching Mothkit like I promised. They play together.” The aged tom could not hide the smile which tugged at his dark lips.

“So I guess it isn’t all bad, but no. I am not at peace. I will never know peace so long as my clan suffers.”

Perhaps Inkpool ✨?

✨ initial thoughts / opinions

the first time i saw inkpool, she was in the middle of, uh...getting murdered. sort of. she was immediately a super intriguing character, especially with her overt self doubt and self loathing. she was ready to die by martenstorm's paws, to an extent, and watching her go through the dramatic ups and downs of that moment was quite the introduction to her!

beyond that, my initials thoughts on inkpool basically boiled down to "oooh, mysterious lady, i want to know her so badly." i got a bit more of a taste of her when she and roseface fought at little pond, and i still love the way inkpool reacted there. she was again ready to sacrifice herself for her clan, perhaps as a way to pay for her "crimes..." overall, i was and still am super intrigued by her as a character! i would kill to be able to see a bit deeper into her thought process and the sort of struggles she endures, because so much of her conflict seems to come from an internal source / herself.

Inkpool ✨, ☀️, or ☘️? Whatever you prefer!!

✨ initial thoughts / opinions

I just want Inkpool to be happy and make some friends. The poor girl has gone through so much already and she deserves the best! I think with some consistency and someone she can really lean on, Inkpool can really grow into herself and gain some confidence. On the flip side, I can also see her totally falling apart if too many bad things happen all at once. So uh. Good luck Inkpool! 

☀️ ideal friendships

I’d love to see her become friends with a lot of the daylight warriors, especially considering her past experiences with/opinions on kittypets. Someone mentioned a while back that they hc the daylight warriors going to and from “work” together and chatting and that’s just so sweet to imagine her with a group of friends like that... I want her and her daylight warrior pals to be happy. 

Also I think Wildsong could be a good match for her friendship-wise. They both got some anxiety to work through and it’d be nice to see them overcome that together. <3 

☘️ relationship dynamics with the most potential

Inkpool has no clue who Martenpaw is yet but I think a lot is gonna happen between them soon. Probably not good things. But certainly interesting things!

18. is your oc a procastinator? if they are, what’s an example of how much?

usually no! glass tends to get shit DONE when she puts her mind to it. exception being her violent multiple moon long depressive episode, she hardly did anything in that time

21. what are some skills your oc has a talent for and what are some that they worked for?

glass is Very observant! this often leads to her being very easily distracted by her surroundings but it also lets her notice things before a lot of her clanmates would (enemy scent, voices, etc)

staying still was something she definitely had to learn, she’s naturally very energetic and as an apprentice she just wanted to Go Go Go. she’s a lot better at being calm now, which helps a lot with hunting and stalking in general

Y'know what though, while I'm here in your inbox talking about moms, I've always just thought it was crazy how the movie had such a focus on the relationship between Rapunzel and her "mother," but then the series starts and mother-child relationships- even Rapunzel's!- are completely shunted aside in favor of examining father-child relationships. That's why I really love the attention you've given her complex feelings about Arianna in Bitter Snow! It's great!!

yeah!!! it’s such an odd storytelling choice. i have some thoughts on ari and how she was underutilized here

also kinda related i have a bit of a minor bone to pick with the series as a whole because the only familial relationships it explores really are father-child relationships, and kinda sorta fleetingly sisterly relationships with arianna+willow and kiera+catalina.

which... fine, whatever, but also two out of three of the main characters are royalty, where are all the spares. where are rapunzel’s uncles and aunts and cousins? i want to see that kind of familial relationship explored in stories too! and it doesn’t make sense for a royal family to be so nuclear!

like arianna is the only character in the entire show who isn’t biologically an only child, which is just kind of nuts to me because why aren’t people in the tangled universe having more kids? [the answer is it’s a tight story with a narrow focus and new character models are expensive, but it still bugs me lol]
