Hi, I'm Loo(or Alex), I'm a disabled queer artist and writer as well as a furry vtuber who streams four days a week on twitch(mostly Minecraft but also Soulsborne games and a variety of other stuff).
You may know me from The Tuna Post, in which several thousand of you came together to "force" me to buy damn near 30 American Dollars worth of imported fancy canned tuna to eat and review live on stream. If you're here for it, said live review can be found on twitch and on my youtube channel. TL;DR: 10/10 would recommend.
I currently can't work, so if you like what I've got going on here and want to help me out, I take donations over on my ko-fi <3 Aside from that, follows on twitch help a lot, even if you never end up watching!
(Also, I sell my twitch emotes as stickers on redbubble!)
I don't have a proper BYF, but as a heads up I'm heavily introverted and have ADHD, and between those and my disabilities eating up my energy I often take a while to respond to messages/tags/reblogs/DMs and sometimes forget entirely. This isn't anything against you, and it's something I'm working on, but just something to keep in mind if you plan on interacting with me a lot.
FAQ:
Do you take commissions?
Not at the moment, but hopefully in the future!

My assigned sex/gender at birth is none of your business.
Who's Yotsuba?
Yotsuba is an adorable little gremlin and the main character of my favorite manga, Yotsuba &!, and you should go read it right now seriously it's amazing go read it go read it GO READ IT-
What's "ask to tag"?
The tumblr equivalent of "author chose not to use archive warnings", I put it on anything that seems like it could use a trigger warning but where no one has specifically asked me to tag for that trigger yet.
Things I currently (try to) tag for: flashing lights/eyestrain, insects, suicide, fatphobia/diet culture/disordered eating, my hero academia, gore/body horror, current events, us politics, politics, covid, cats, and anything nsfw goes under nsft.
I can't promise to be 100% consistent with these tho, between the ADHD and the migraines I am very forgetful, so slip ups are bound to happen.
Loo? Like the bathroom??
LOO is short for LastOneOut, I'm american and forgot people call it that, you can write it as Lou or just call me Alex if it makes you feel better.
LookingForLoo?? Like looking for the bathroom??
On websites where LastOneOut is taken I'm LookingForLoo because I'm literally looking for LOO, LastOneOut.
I thought it was clever T_T
Sideblogs?
I have a nsfw alt @looafterdark (18+ only I swear to god I keep a loaded gun pointed at the follow list) and a writing inspo blog @last-scrapbook.
I also once ran a couple of character ask blogs, though I don't plan on starting them up again, and I was the mod behind @pokeprofshowdown.
Who's Eugene/Ophelia/Sasha?
My ocs from an original story I'm working on. I get brainrot and post about them a lot. You are ALWAYS allowed to ask me about them!
What's your fursona/can I make art of you?
I'm a dog, kinda like a papillion but not really, and yes you may. My ref sheet is here.
Can I repost your funny text posts to twitter/insta/reddit?
Sure, all I ask is that you include the entire post and leave my username visible. You can also tag me if you want, I'm lookingforloo on twitter, insta, and reddit <3
Can I repost your art/writing?
Absolutely not.
Can I plug your art or writing into an AI program?
Absolutely not under any fucking circumstances.
Can I use your art in an amv/fandom board/as a cover for my playlist or fic/ect.?
Depends, DM me first.
Can I write fic/make fanart based on your fics/art/HCs/AUs?
Absolutely <3
Can I write fic/make fanart based on your OCs?
Art yes, fics no.
What's your stance on the discourse?
There is no amount of posting online about contentious topics that could ever match the sheer power of simply going out into your community and finding a project that helps other people that you can dedicate your time and energy to. Also wear a mask, vote(if you can), and listen to marginalized people when they speak about their experiences.
My brother likes to say our grandma was a bad mom because our mom had cheap clothes she got made fun of for.
Meanwhile, my mom was spending an entire clothing voucher on my brother's shoes, and then I'd get made fun of for only having two pairs of jeans.
And I never even thought about that until he started mentioning our grandma buying keds for our mom.
We got like $600 total for all three of us to buy clothes for school, and a third of the budget was spent on his shoes. The government sent me $200 to school shop. $200 with my name on it. And I actually only got a little over a hundred dollars worth of clothes because my mom decided it was a fair split to spend his entire voucher on his shoes and then dip into mine for his clothes.
And she justified it with "he gets shoes and you get shoes, so it's even"
Same way my sister asked for a tablet, and she got the cheapest model Samsung sells. And her phone in the cheapest model Samsung sells. But my brother got a brand new Xbox and 64 inch TV last year. And why did he get a 64 inch TV, you may ask. Well, it's because the 40 inch he got the year before last broke.
Hi there! Bit of a weird question, and I’m not sure if this is the right blog for this, but… best laptop for privacy? I’m going to go to uni in a year and my parents have said that they’re going to buy me a laptop, which is awesome, except— I don’t know which one to chose? I’ve never had a laptop before but I try to take being private online as seriously as I can, and so I don’t really care… well, like, I do care that the laptop has good storage and works and stuff, but I care mostly about how private it is. Which one supports adding privacy-related stuff the best? Which one steals your data the least? I… am actually not sure what kind of questions I should be asking, since… again, never had a laptop before, and I don’t know what about its make makes it private (other than like general online privacy practices across all devices), so I was just wondering if you had any recommendations for me? Tldr: don’t care about fancy features, just want a laptop that more or less works, but would love privacy to be the main focus. This can sort of come at the expense of convenience - I don’t care it if’s harder to set up, use, etc., so long as I can connect to the internet with it.
So the hardware is pretty agnostic on this, the place where privacy is going to become an issue is in the software.
Windows loves to track you and send your data back to homebase; Apple is a walled garden that doesn't let people get deep into configurations; linux is intimidating for a lot of people.
Your actual best bet on privacy would be to get a laptop with no OS and install a linux distro on it, but it sounds like that's probably not something that's terribly approachable for you. So in that case I'd recommend getting a Windows laptop (mac prices aren't worth it) and going through this list to change the settings to ensure better privacy.
HOWEVER please note that you should be getting a laptop with a full OS. Windows has an option for "windows 11s" or "windows 10s" and first off you should be going with 11 at this point but second that "s" means that there are pretty strict limitations on what you can do as a user in terms of configuration and installation.
If you are willing to pay a bit more for Windows 11 Pro instead of windows 11 Home, the pro license cuts off some of the more annoying tracking that Windows does automatically, but I'd say you're better off simply getting the home license and really digging into the settings and getting to know it and setting it up for yourself.
BUT if it's at all possible, honestly I'd say get a bare metal laptop (that means it's just the hardware, no software, you need to install an operating system before you do anything) and install linux. HOWEVER keep in mind that there are some significant downsides to using linux as a student, mostly that you'll likely run into software at some point that you won't be able to install. Also if you're not already pretty good with computers it can be difficult to keep a linux machine running (but very easy to make it private; that's the tradeoff - you can make it more secure more easily, but you really have to know how to fix your own computer if something goes wrong.)
For your situation, again, I think a Windows 11 Home laptop with the settings adjusted is your best bet.
Absolutely positively don't get a chromebook (you've got no control of the settings on a chromebook and the thing is made to feed information to google) and don't get a mac (you can get better specs on a PC at a lower cost).
For an idea of budget on this, I'd say you can probably get something from Dell, Lenovo, or HP for around $650-1000 dollars that's got decent specs (12th gen or newer i5 processor, 16gb RAM, 512GB SSD) and maybe something more like $500-800 from acer, asus, or samsung. Whatever computer you end up getting, you should get the added drop protection warranty because that means the manufacturer will fix your laptop if you drop it, something that is a bigger deal for college students than most people (because of your environment you're more likely to end up with drop damage than a lot of people AND because you're a college student you probably won't be able to afford to fix or replace the computer)
This phone's screen keeps doing weird shit and turning off and i have to keep pressing on it so it would turn on again and that is after i payed 2 months worth of salary to Samsung to fix it for me genuinely i might just buy another phone (nothing just about that actually i would have to work for 3 months straight to afford it barely) im too scared to go to a local repair shop and have the possibility of fucking it up completely as i dont have money to replace it if my phone dies fully right now
Amazon Affiliate Listicle, but with my ADHD and propensity for swearing
So I'mma do a listicle of Amazon affiliate links just like every other place is doing for Prime Days.
I'm just gonna tell you ahead of time that I'm doing it for money and the sense of incredulity I feel about... Amazon as a whole.
🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃
A Backbone, probably the most ridiculous gaming accessory I've ever seen. Yes, I'd like to use my phone as a controller for $35 more than a normal PS5 controller costs and have almost no other functionality!
I am ALL ABOUT BIDET ATTACHMENTS, okay, but this brand is so fucking overpriced. I'm not paying $77 to launch high-powdered water up my chocolate starfish, and I'm definitely not paying the normal $110. I WILL say that I've used this brand and it was good, but... Dudes. It's a stream of water to make wiping your ass easier. How much is that actually worth? This is a much better price for the exact same functions.
When I saw this set of movies, I didn't see that it was James Bond. Daniel Craig is wearing like a sweater, but I also didn't realize it was Daniel Craig. All I saw was CRAIG. This is, for some reason, absolutely fucking hilarious to me.
Instant Pot for $65, need I say more?
Okay I'm not even joking, this is just a pretty fucking decent price ($84) for a 1.5 TB microSD card.
If you have a 3D resin printer, today is the day to stock up: AnyCubic has some really good resin deals going on! I personally love the plant-based resin, but I've heard amazing things about their water-washable stuff. I wanna try the ultra-tough resin, though. (Note: this is UV resin so you don't have to actually use it in a 3D printer. You can use it in a mold too.)
Let's spend $50 to make a single cup of coffee at a time when I can make better coffee using a disposable tea bag. 🙄 The hatred I have for single-use coffee makers knows no bounds.
What you do is take about two regular spoons full of coffee grounds (another half a spoon if you like it harsh, half a spoon less if you like it light), put them in the tea bag. Put any other spices and flavorings you like in the bag too. Close it, and tie it closed really well (I wrap the strings around the top of the bag and tie them again when I've tied it.) steep for 5 minutes in a mug full of hot water (doesn't matter how it got hot), and then add milk or creamer depending on your preference. It will have less of an acidic bite and a better flavor profile.
I'm super into the idea of bleaching my tooth enamel until it rots away and my teeth are super white but extremely sensitive! Give it to me, Crest! Yeah Daddy!
If you DO want the tooth-brightening shit, you'll probably want to invest in a few tubes of Sensodyne. Trust me.
Oh, you eat Tide pods? Cool, cool, if you Wan a be like 2021 about it. I'm a dishwasher pod kid. Snack time.
OK no sarcasm, this shit will clean your washing machine so fuckin good. My daughter gave me some and suddenly none of us smell like Satan's asshole anymore. Fucking amazing.
Okay look, if you wanna get special pimple patches, go ahead, they're on sale today and they DO work, but they're just hydrocolloidal bandages. I get the regular ones bc I can cut them to shape.
Okay fullstop, I love the power mops Swiffer makes and this is a GREAT deal. Anyone wanna buy me a new mop? 😂
Oh shit, they have Naked mini-palettes for 40% off. That's $21 omg why am I a poor with expensive makeup taste??? WHY? (They also have the Stila liquid eyeliner on sale somewhere.)
Yes, sir? I'd like the biggest, widest computer monitor to ever exist. I'm a gamer, you see. A thousand dollars today, you say? What a deal! I'm a gamer! (Look, I have a gaming computer and a pretty big monitor but there's a fkn limit, Samsung. There's a line and you've crossed it.)
I almost didn't click on the "pet products" tab because I miss Ziva SO MUCH. But I do love pampering my pets. In that vein, WHO WANTS TO BUY A SHOCK COLLAR?
If you've ever needed 900 poop-scooping mini garbage bags... Today is your day. Time to shine.
Aw fuck, I found a pretty damn good deal on a cat tree.
If you don't have a 3D printer, you have to buy Settlers of Catan like a peon and it's on sale today.
I'm actually disappointed in myself how much I want this.
TICKET TO RIDE FOR UNDER $40.
If you wanna train your pet to talk these things are on sale.
For the low, low price of $98, you too can let your child kill themselves by improperly using a Zipline kit.
EXPLODING KITTENS FOR $10 AND I MEAN THE GAME NOT ACTUAL KITTENS BUT I GUESS HE HAS A SHOW NAMED THAT TOO?
As a general rule Raven and I don't buy Nerf products because they're owned by Hasbro and we're boycotting them because of the whole Pinkertons thing. Plus, in the world of foam dart guns they're actually doing the worst when it comes to innovation and performance. But! We will get them on clearance or secondhand. I consider Prime Day to be clearance, so have this multipack for a kid's party that I wish I'd had for Raven's birthday party last month.
Also, this translucent blaster.
I love this style of shorts (although I got the viral tiktok ones) but omg this one has POCKETS.
Today I discovered that there is a brand called THE GYM PEOPLE and they make really boring clothes.
Hey plus-sized ladies! Want yet another ugly beige bra? Look no further!
I have one of these mandolin slicers. Highly recommend.
Get your kids used to corporate surveillance with an Amazon Echo made just for them!
THESE ARE THE ONLY PENS I USE.
Amazon putting these under "off to college" is absolutely fucking hilarious to me.
I'm actually really bummed I don't have the money to get this Samsung Galaxy Tab.
Amazon knows what's up when it comes to kids: a five-pack of identical pants. I think it's for uniforms but like. Let's be real, kids just go through clothes like that.
Every time I see a Skullcandy product, I remember when I was at a Skullcandy booth at the Warped Tour and I asked the booth babe how they compared to Sennheiser or even Audio-Technica. She looked at me, and in a snooty voice, said, "I've never even heard of Sennheiser before."
Canon nepo baby Suho makes me have so many ideas with local common guy Ryo, not in the "Rich guy who sugar daddies his economically struggling partner." but rather in the way where the rich guy has lived so comfortably Ryo gets constantly hit with realization that Suho doesnt know how to do even the most basic things ever.
God bless his heart he's not even that broke but who in their right mind thinks of going to Italy on a sunday just because his favorite restaurant is there like its a 40 min drive away. Ryo just casually starts talking on the phone about how he needs to do a cleanup for his room and Suho asks like "omg is your maid sick? you dont have a backup maid?" And Ryo's brain just stops working.
Suho on a friday night: I dont know whenever to go to Cardi B's concept or BTS concert."
Ryo who just finished pirating an albums worth of songs: Aren't they like, in america, right now?
Suho: yeah so what? Planes exists.
-
Suho: Ah shit my phone is lagging
Ryo: Oh I know a shop around here that can fix--
Suho: WElp time to buy the samsung 12XP+ limited gold edition one thats been on my mind for a while now.
thinking about buying the Samsung S6 tablet to improve my studies this year, but I'm worried if it's really worth it. does anyone here use it or any other tablet/ipad for studies/work?
I thought I should post this Tik Tok here because all of the points are valid and true. When you are posting on social media, you are reaching an audience of people who most likely dont have power and dont have a huge say in things and most likely already agree with you. We see this is a genocide. We consistently call for ceasefire.
It is easy sitting and typing this, spreading info and calling it a day. This is not enough. Your governors are not listening to you. They are not reading your emails and answering you calls. They do not care about you, the individual. It's sad but it sure as hell is the truth.
What we need to do is speak their language and the only language they seem to care about it money. Make sure these people in the government know that if they dont side with us with will not be re-elected and, more importantly, keep your word to that! Companies who are not supporting the cause should be boycotted. It'll suck not getting something you want but it is worth it for the cause! An actor doesnt agree with ceasefire? Boycott their movies. It wont hurt them individually, but it will hurt the movies thus leading to them being appointed to less roles due to profits.
Protest! I mean go to the streets and protest! It's scary, it's going to be scary but we have to do it. Remember to hide your identity when protesting too. The mass group of people inflicting the day to day of companies and people in power will show.
If you want an animated movie, don't buy Disney, find something indie (it seems to be better quality anyway), if you want Starbucks, go to a local coffee shop instead. If you need electronics, do research and find a company that's better than Samsung or Apple. I am not telling you to give up everything for this (although we should be willing to) but take the effort to do something else!
Companies listen to money, not us. Use that agaisnt them. Move past the education phase. We already are educated. Let's start actually have some action.
I got rid of three trash bags worth of stuff today. Living in an apartment away from all of this has made it way easier to get rid of things. I'm a very sentimental person, so I was surprised how easy it was to tell myself I don't really need any of this stuff and just toss it.
I'm still feeling really overwhelmed by all the clothes. I've just been throwing out anything the clothing moths got to but there's a lot of stuff that's still in good condition that I like. There's many things that are too small that I want to wash and donate. I have a lot of expensive clothes that I feel like I should try to resell but I know I will never follow through with that.
Next time I go to the house, I'm going to work on doing laundry. I don't know if it's worth it to bag everything up and go to a laundry mat so I can do multiple loads at once or save my money and just use my washer/dryer.
Also I bought a pack of N95 masks to wear while cleaning instead of the regular dust masks and this was the first time being at the house where I didn't leave feeling sick! I'm hoping once I clear enough stuff off the floor to vacuum I won't need the masks anymore.
I've been coming across more cardboard boxes so I'll have to make another trip to the recycling center. I wasn't up for it today because I had other errands to run but I'm going to shoot for next time.
I also plan on taking most of my paperback books to the recycle center. It feels like blasphemy but honestly they aren't in great condition from just being strewn around and buried under things. And there's so many reselling them would be a full time job. I used to love to read. I love learning. I love making art. Any time I'm even mildly interested in something I just start buying books about it. I've always hoarded books but I'm finally letting go of that too.
I love listening to audio books on the Libby app. I have a samsung tablet but want a kindle scribe so I can read more digitally but still write in books and take notes. I want to get away from feeling like I need physical books.
Remember when Black Friday signified the beginning of the Christmas shopping season? Yeah, I do, but it is fading fast. There is little reason to camp out overnight at Best Buy these days when all the good sales are done and over with six weeks earlier.
Like what is going to happen starting real soon, a mirror of how the most aggressive (maybe I should say scared) retailers approach the first week of October. The leaves haven’t started turning, much lass fallen, and here they are going for the end zone on the first play of the game.
Once again, Target, Walmart and Best Buy will be dueling it out with Amazon. Target’s blitz starts 1st October, with Walmart on the 9th, Amazon on the 10th, and Best Buy also the same day. If there is an upside, at least you won’t have to wear a winter coat.
But if anything, these early sales once more tell us just how nervous retailers are with the current economy. In a recent blog we looked at holiday sales predictions, which, after accounting for inflation, are flat. It’s just that holiday retailing has started to mimic the old line about voting in Chicago: Vote early, and vote often.
And if we start shopping early, there is hope that we may shop often as well. A retailer can dream, right? Actually, Target is offering a deep discount item every day until Christmas Eve. And Best Buy is offering a $50 reward certificate to be used in December if you spend $500 in October.
But I am already seeing signs of pre-holiday Christmas pricing to try to lure people in. This week at the local Walmart I noticed their house brand 65” TV model for $368. I know, it’s a private label and not rated as highly as a Vizio or Samsung, but good grief, that is cheap. My first 55” TV cost about $1200. Today, they have almost become an impulse purchase.
“Honey, what do you think about getting a big screen for the kids’ room?”
It is in setting patterns like this that consumers will quickly learn that they can cherry pick, because there will almost certainly be recurring sales events every week until Christmas. Adding six weeks to the shopping season may be ridiculous at some level, but then again, it also makes it open season for shoppers. If people are willing to sit tight and make retailers even more nervous, there might be even better deals down the road, and without freezing off your nether regions camping on the sidewalk.
Not surprisingly, I wrote about this last year for my students. I also pointed out my reciprocity rule: One gift for you, one for me. To be honest, I could have been lazy and just dusted off that blog and reposted it, because I said pretty much the same things I am saying here.
I know. It’s not like the six-week lead time happened all at once. Holiday shopping has been inching longer and longer for about a decade. Initially it spread into early November, then late October. Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Amazon or the others launching a Christmas-in-September sale next year.
It is when there are economic uncertainties that retailers are the most nervous. The lore is that 40% of a retailers’ sales comes in the six weeks preceding Christmas. This will have to be revised to 12 weeks now I suppose, but it does underscore just how important the holiday season is. Fail here, and you fail the entire year.
There is also the sobering fact that in our consumer-driven economy, we have almost completely lost sight of any religious significance. That is a blog for another day and worth exploring, even without dipping my feet into the pond of any specific religion. When Santa is the reason for the season, you know we have gone a little bit off the rails. It’s like none of the religious super heroes can hold a candle to the man with the white beard.
If I were you, I’d start watching all the sales announcements that will drop in the next week. There might be some great bargains to scoop up, either for your loved ones, or yourself. Reciprocity, you know.
Besides, it’s easy to justify spending money on yourself when it’s on sale. And why wait until Black Friday to venture out? It’s too cold then anyway.
You keep mentioning that heavy paint is free but I think it’s not free for ios, it has a limited trial and then asks the user to buy it
oh boo thank you for telling me :'( sorry for spreading misinfo and sorry ios users I'm only android and windows and its free on those.
I know theres a paid pro license?? so maybe thats the equivalent of the ios purchase but I don't use that either LOL. on the bright side it seems to be only a $5 one time purchase? less than 2 tumblr crabs - if i abruptly ruined my samsung phone and had to switch to an iphone i would say it's worth the price but i already know that I like the app and use it constantly. probably your mileage will vary on whether you end up finding a workflow you like on the program or not.
trying to think of like... how would I describe each laptop manufacturer on pure vibes. off the top of my head...
asus: we have more marketing and r&d budget then we can possibly spend on normal things. look, this one is coated in LEDs! this one has the keyboard in the wrong place! this one splits open! half of their premium product launches generate more youtube views than actual sales because by the time you consider buying one they're discontinued. high-end products can be quite good; midrange products are often a couple bucks too expensive because the brand name buys you some clout. spends a lot of cash to get floorspace at best buy. taiwan.
lenovo: a relative newcomer to the western market (they bought IBM's thinkpad division back in the day), used to be the kings of cost cutting on basically every part they could think of. if they've learned what parts are actually worth cutting costs on (and benefitted from the fact that these days 85% of the parts that exist are Actually Decent) there might be something there. primarily does direct online sales. mainland china.
msi: kind of hit on an identity when they made the first thin and light gaming laptop/"jack of all trades, master of none" device that was actually good, and continue to have a strong presence in that market. devices tend to be a bit on the hollow/flexible-feeling side, not necessarily in a bad way, but just in contrast to "ough that's solid but heavy." under-reviewed, imho. taiwan.
gigabyte: hey, we exist too! some cool stuff at the high end; primary drawback in the west is a reputation for spotty support if you don't speak mandarin since they just do less sales volume than the other Asian companies. mainland china
acer: budget, budget, budget. takes up a truly impressive amount of the low to midrange market with usable but unspectacular devices. once in a while they'll put out a premium-priced device and get confused reviews, like, "guys, this is just a budget laptop with a higher price tag???" known for pure gaming laptops with poor battery life, displays, keyboards, and trackpads but very competitive performance, and general use laptops that are very competent for the price tag if you can find the model that hit the right balance on all of the parts. taiwan.
lg: primarily known for the lg gram line of premium, very lightweight general-use laptops, which are pretty good. do they make anything else? korea.
samsung: yeah we make everything; sure, let's make laptops. very low volume kind of like lg, but a marketing behemoth like asus. korea.
framework: finally, a repairability-focused laptop that's actually good. only has one device (13" general-use) and it's a bit overpriced iirc, and you have some "we're a startup" stuff to deal with, but it's rare that you can take a moral stance and actually get a good product out of it. united states.
dell: kind of the flagship american laptop brand. does a bit of everything. competes with asus on the "solidly built, premium-priced, unnecessarily flashy gaming" front via alienware, with acer on the "budget-priced, competent enough gaming" front via inspiron, and with apple on the "best possible jack of all trades" front via xps. notably, has a huge refurbished store (dell outlet) with a ton of selection that's unmatched by any of the others. united states.
hp: guys we're just like dell! please believe us. used to be the other flagship american laptop brand for years and then idk they ran out of money or something and dropped most of their product lines. kind of like american acer now, I guess? united states.
apple: operating system differences aside, has a consistent standard of build quality, minimum part quality, relative reliability, and "having a working trackpad" that makes every windows laptop look like some sort of children's toy. (I am not joking: the 2008 macbook pro has a trackpad that has not been matched by a windows pc in 15 years. it is legitimately puzzling.) 2016-2019 missteps aside, 80% of the things one could list about a laptop have been multiple years ahead of the competition on the mac essentially forever. on the other hand, they're a gazillion dollars, you can't game on them basically at all, you're stuck with macos, etc etc. (the m1 macbook air in particular is so good that none of that even really matters, though. fingers crossed for the 15" m2 air to continue the trend and not be $1800.) united states.
microsoft: "look, we can match apple's build and display quality!" an extreme newcomer, specifically designed to push the windows platform in the fronts where apple traditionally ate their lunch. they absolutely have done that, and are years ahead of almost anyone else on those fronts. too bad they're constantly a year behind schedule with their hardware and only do premium pricing, had some reliability issues, and suffer from a "we glued the whole thing together and if it breaks it's unfixable" problem that they're only very recently engineering their way out of. still, managed to put a seriously compelling product (surface laptop) in the premium general-use device category until the m1 air came out. united states.
razer: "look, we can match apple's build quality in a gaming laptop!" a relative newcomer that made an incredible, unprecedented jump from a gaming mouse company to a moderate-volume premium pc manufacturer somehow. only sells to the ultra-premium gaming market (weird ultrabooks aside), but does a good job of it. united states.
clevo: the white-label manufacturer behind many smaller brands like ibuypower, maingear; often does comically huge desktop replacement style devices. taiwan.

My NVMe Needs - Part 1: Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus NVme M.2 SSD (1TB) Review (w/ my paper dolls) [Apr 7th, 2023]
Hello, April! This is my first owned M.2 Solid State Drive! And man, I have a lot to talk about! So, get ready! 😁
Because this is Part 1 of "My NVMe Needs", and we're starting off with reviewing Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 SSD (featuring my paper dolls). 😁
So, without further ado, let's get started:
1st to 3rd Image(s): ↑
• Will kick this off with the packaging itself! 🙂📦 It's a legit Samsung brand from a trusted & authorized online seller, which, by the way, I'll get to that in my "asking price" later. So far, I don't see any fake Samsung brands with this type of memory board, and the only thing you could find is their fake Samsung Micro SD / SD cards, so please avoid buying counterfeit Samsung stuff, they're not just worth your buck! Am I right, you two? Yeah I was right. Anyways, let's move on by revealing the real-life NVMe SSD! 😃
4th to 6th Image(s): ↑
• Once its opened, we're now looking at the real thing! 😮 Its actually pretty small stick than we've expected. And my paper dolls thinks that my M.2 SSD is shape liked a thin dark chocolate waffle biscuit. Yeah, ☝️ don't imagine for a sec because this is not a food that you consumed, it's a memory stick drive for my or our computer system! So, the paper dolls thought to themselves,
"what is NVMe thingy?" 🤔 Well, I'm glad you ask!
• NVMe or Non-Volatile Memory Express is a modern storage protocol for next-gen Solid State Drives in a form of small rectangular shape circuitry boards. And NVMe stick is always attached through the motherboard instead of plugging SATA connectors (for Hard Drives & 2.5mm Solid State Drives), much like their cousins, the M.2 SATA & mSATA sticks (without the NVMe attached). NVMe stick is essentially a Hard Drive on steroids albeit more compact & ultra slim onto a motherboard. Plus, it had a much faster rate for read & write speeds than bulky 3.5mm mechanized hard drives, slim 2.5mm mechanized hard drives & even SATA Solid State Drives (also 2.5 mm). Heck, even M.2 SATA & mSATA sticks can't outpace the NVMe's fast transfer rate. BUT... The only downsides for NVMe stick are; No. 1 - it tends to overheat without equipping the heat sink, and No. 2 - they're pretty expensive depending on what memory size, trusted memory brands & type of gens (whether Gen3 or Gen4) should you buy. So far, 1TB, 2TB & even 4TBs are the most expensive line of NVMe sticks. Uh yeah, and much like existing onboard memory chipboards the NVMe's won't make any noise compared to 3.5mm & 2.5mm mechanized hard drives that have buzzy sounds while vibrating our PC desktop case at the same time.
• If you want more information about NVMe SSD, then you could always click these links → [CLICK ME! #1], [CLICK ME! #2]. Now, onto our next images & video.
My recorded video, 7th & 8th Image(s): ↑
• [Recorded video & 7th Image] In my clip, you could see I'm holding my owned NVMe stick with my fingers for the first time. 🤲😮 And man, for such a small memory stick, it had a little heft to it from its slim metal components & onboard memory chips. And inside that package, there's an instruction manual about the NVMe stick. 📄 What a convenient way to store that manual though. 👍
• [8th Image] So, you two. Are you still imagine about my NVMe stick that looks like a waffle stick? Nah, I don't think so! lol 😅
9th to 11th Image(s): ↑
• Now, upon opening the manual, there's a tiny pamphlet saying that I need to download the "Samsung Magician" software for my NVMe stick to check the memory health, see stats, and more. It's a must-install software once I attach my NVMe stick to PC's motherboard. 🙂👌
12th to 15th Image(s): ↑
• Alright, here's a closer look at my future memory storage, and yes, it is a pretty thin and pretty solid build that was made (by Samsung). You noticed, why are stickers attached to that NVMe stick? Well, it may look like stickers, but rather stickers with thin thermal pads on each side, one of which has a half for the thin copper pad. And what's the purpose? To keep the chips chill from overheating while running the computer. 🧊⬇️🖥️ However, that wasn't enough to cool down and thus require a heat sink to keep the NVMe stick running for long period endurance. Yeah, it still debating on why should I need a heat sink for my NVMe stick or not? But, much like graphics card's processor & the CPU chip, the NVMe stick NEEDS a heat sink. So, there's that.
• So, what do you think, you two? Should I need a heat sink? They said "I hope so". Make sense (, I guess). 🤔
16th to 19th Image(s): ↑
• Finally, a comparison between my NVMe stick & two 2.5mm (mechanized) hard drives, one with the durable case (my Adata HD330), while the other was from an old laptop (Western Digital Scorpio Blue 160GB) & it's still functional. Even though, no one using it, including me. Now, I was gonna add another hard drive (the fat 3.5mm one), but unfortunately, I'm still hurt my emotions from losing my precious files. 😟😓 But, fear not because it's already well documented by countless photos, like this one → [CLICK ME!]. 👈🙂 As for their weight ⚖️, they're pretty different numbers in their own right. So, here are the ff. numbers (using my digital scaler): ↓
○ NVMe: Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus (1TB) - 10g (lightest of the three)⚖️
○ 2.5mm HD: Western Digital Scorpio Blue (160GB) - 93g ⚖️
○ External 2.5mm HD: Adata HD330 (2TB) - 173g (heaviest of the three)⚖️
• [19th Image] Hey, you two! Do you want a take home with this old slim HDD? 😁 You can have it & eat it! Yeah, I don't think they won't eat it. lol 😂
Overall & Asking Price:
• I'm so happy to own my first ever NVMe SSD stick, and I can't wait to test it out with my functional PC. 😊🖥️ Although, I'm unable to test my first owned NVMe SSD stick without a heat sink to prevent overheat 😕. And good news 👍, I've already ordered it from Lazada Philippines! 🛒🌐🇵🇭 But, the bad news 👎, it's Holy Week. So, the delivery process will be resumed next week 🗓️. Looks like, I'll make another topic before I combined it into one review package. 🤷
• As for the "Asking Price", it's around ₱ 5,000 💵 for this Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus, 1TB variant [CLICK ME!]. Actually, ₱ 4,986 💵 to be specific, with a huge discount & free shipping vouchers during Lazada's birthday discount sale 🛒🌐🇵🇭 (in March every year) 🏷️🧾🎂📅. Making it the most expensive item that I purchased online. 🤑 And what online store that I've ordered the Samsung NVMe stick? 🤔🛒 Well, this → [CLICK ME!] (which, I mentioning the name. Sorry... 😅) As of this writing, Lazada is having a 4.4 fest discount sale, from April 4th to 8th, 2023 (Southeast Asia exclusive). However, you could get it on your favorite online shopping sites (e.g. Amazon, Aliexpress, etc.), as long as you have enough cash to spare and/or wait for the discount sale. (Black Friday might be a long road for you, but you'll save your wallet's dough.)
• Anyways, in my next plan, well... Umm... I think I should test with my first owned NVMe stick without a heat sink (while I'm waiting for my order)? So, who knows what would happen? 🤷 But, I gonna need to record something as my benchmark before I migrated from mechanized HDD to high-speed SSD NVMe using a trusted migration software. 🖥️➡️🖥️ Hmmph... I don't know, but we'll see in the coming weeks before this month ends. 🤔
Well, that's all for now!

Re buying a phone: if you’re looking for something relatively cheap under $100 Tracfone is pretty good! I had a tracfone phone all throughout middle school and high school and the good thing about it is they have “pay as you go” options, so you can buy amounts of talk, text, and data as you need instead of having to pay for a monthly phone plan. They currently have a site-wide deal going on Samsung phones so they’re all half off rn. I’ve also never had issues with service/bars bc I think Tracfone uses the same towers as all the big phone brands, so I’ve always had service when my friends do. The customer service is crap if you ever have to call them, but you get what you pay for lol. Overall I’d say Tracfone is worth it for the price
Unfortunately I’m from the philippines and i don’t think they have tracfone but we do have a similar sim card thing where you can avail certain stuff like data or for call and text!
hi guys ! i’m sage ( twenty five , she / they , est ) and i’m so excited to be here ! as far as my pronouns go , please feel free to use either ; if you only want to use one exclusively or use both interchangeably , i’m perfectly okay with either choice . i’m super excited to introduce you all to hana , a relatively new muse of mine but a little mix of muses i wanted to write in the past ! super excited to have filled such a Messy™ wanted connection , and i can’t wait to plot with everyone ! 🤍
( — ) ★ spotted !! HANA YUN on the cover of this week’s most recent tabloid ! many say that the TWENTY SIX year old looks like PARK CHAEYOUNG , but i don’t really see it . while the SOCIALITE & HEIRESS is known for being SPELLBINDING my inside sources say that they have a tendency to be VITRIOLIC i swear , every time i think of them , i hear the song CONCEITED BY FLO MILLI .
biography.
the yun family is everything that everyone else wants to be . prim and proper , poised and perfect . rich beyond their means with a current net worth of seven billion dollars , there’s nothing that this family lacks . yun hana’s father is her grandparents’ only son , who passed away after a short losing battle with pneumonia . her mother , a woman that her father planned to propose to before his death , ran off only a month after she was born and immediately married a man living in canada . hana was adopted by her grandparents , and has seen them as her parents ever since .
the yun household is a household where power equaled money and money equaled fame . their massive and untouchable net worth stems from owning stocks in various korean businesses ( most notably , samsung ) , owning a number of office buildings within gangnam - gu , owning three properties in pyeongchang , and five luxury apartment buildings in yongsan . they bought , flipped , and sold various properties in new york as well .
they settled in los angeles when hana was thirteen , and she attended the best schools that money could buy . she made her grandparents happy by bringing home the highest grades in her class . was a naturally gifted student academically , socially , and athletically . oft was the subject of rumors and scandals , most notably alleged to have hooked up with with the quarterback of the rival school with pictures hidden away somewhere in her luxurious bedroom . she was also known for her flamboyant nature when interacting with those of the same and opposite sex .
graduated from her high school as valedictorian , prom queen , and with a reputation that needed no introduction . not afraid to confront those who start rumors about her , but has a tendency of starting rumors to manipulate fate into her favor . she begins to vacation all over the world to flaunt her wealth , but will forever call sydney home . promptly makes a living by sitting on her ass and being seen , rising in the ranks of socialites in the city with clear ease . has a sped up graduation from barnard college due in part to doubling down with classes , and has a degree in gender and sexuality studies .
returned to los angeles with a higher social standing , having become known for her beauty and for her graduation pictures going viral . oft the subject of debate in terms of wondering if she’s gotten plastic surgery or not , but has a love for trolling comments she receives on instagram .
headcanons.
hana is well known for her long hair , which she dyed blonde when she was twenty . she has kept her hair primarily blonde , but she will sometimes dye it pink or lilac ( click colors for visuals ) . her hair is kept at tailbone length .
she has always been the type who was able to hide her emotions well . this isn’t to say that she won’t let someone in if they ask if she’s okay , but she doesn’t readily show if she is or isn’t .
since she’s from sydney , hana’s accent isn’t as thick as it once was . she’s been living in the us since she was thirteen , so the accent has faded a little bit over time , but it’s still very prominent .
hana lives comfortably in the hollywood hills . she lives in one of the many homes that her grandparents have purchased over the years , and she has a number of staff waiting on her at any given time . i love useless details , so she drives an electric 2023 porsche taycan .
personality wise , she’s known as someone who’s able to get what she wants with the point of a finger and the bat of a lash . has a strong interest in people as a whole regardless of their identifying gender . she’s a jealous person , and doesn’t like when someone’s she’s interested in flirts with someone else even if they haven’t reached that level of exclusivity .
she’s more than likely the one who burns bridges with former friends , but somehow always has a reason for doing so . dislikes being told what to do and hasn’t shaken the desire for confrontation . expect twitter fingers , but receipts . expect shade , but it’s straight to your face . known for her resting bitch face which is not a facade to who she really is .
following the drop of the sex tape , hana went radio silent on all of her socials , so it’s not a shock that it was believed that she leaked the tape because she was angry . she hadn’t leaked the tape , but she was instead trying to figure out if what the media had been saying was true . publicly humiliated and completely embarrassed by the situation , hana quickly boarded her family’s private jet and went to stay with her parents in seoul .
she returned after a couple of weeks , and she saw a rise in her already high social standing since the public was rather sympathetic towards her . not everyone liked her afterward because they assumed she leaked the tape / was looking for publicity , but she was deeply affected by the tape and betrayal .
career.
hana is every inch a nepotism baby turned socialite turned influencer , but she’s not annoying about it . most things about her life is relatively private especially considering that her grandparents live worlds away in south korea and are primarily in the media for their business ventures and not their private lives .
her parents were initially against her living such a public life , but once brands deals began coming through for her , their minds changed . hana has a number of brand deals and magazine covers under her belt , but she is not considered a model .
she has done a collaboration with the meditation / sleep app calm titled ‘ grounded with hana ’ .
was selected as model for korean retail store homeplus’ 25th anniversary .
the current global ambassador for yves saint laurent and was chosen as the muse for yves saint laurent beauté . she represented the brand when she attended the 2021 met gala for the first time .
the current global ambassador for tiffany & co. , and later became the fact of tiffany hardwear .
hana has modeled for a number of magazines such as elle korea , dazed korea , w korea , vogue australia , rolling stone , vogue korea , cosmopolitan , dazed china , and many others .
