I hate ants in the house.

Anywhere else- outdoors, in the garden, it’s cool. But when they invade your house... it’s horrible. It gives me anxiety.

They get everywhere.

Put your hand on the table? Ants.

Walked near a wall fixture? Ants on your side.

Leaned over the counter? A n t s all over your shirt and somehow in your hair.

Putting down dishes? Surprise, surprise, mothafucka. Ants were under that plate and that cup and there are fifty of them on this spoon.

Want to eat? Not anymore, ants are blocking the way.

Retreating to your room? Weak. The fricking ants are hitching a ride on your hair on your clothes they’re going to invade your rooooooom.

What’s that itch? An ant? Hah sike you just slapped yourself, the ant is on the other hand, bitchhh.

Hello!

So, I guess I’ll start things off with an introduction.

My name’s Tori, and my main blog is at @hashtag-anthems. I just recently found out, at the age of 21 and on the verge of failing out of university, that I have inattentive type ADHD! And suddenly things make a lot more sense!

My doctor told me to really think about what I want to accomplish with my treatment for ADHD, beyond just “don’t fail out of university,” so I thought that putting a blog together to document my treatment will help me keep my thoughts straight, and I know that going into the diagnosis and treatment process, I was really scared of what it might involve because I didn’t have anyone that could tell me! So maybe hearing about my treatment will help others too idk.

Anyway, some things about me.

Like I said, I’m Tori, I’m 21, and I use exclamation points way too much! I’m a mathematical sciences major in undergrad right now, and I’m hoping to get into grad school for a masters in secondary education. I want to teach high school level math! We also need more people working in education who have neurodevelopmental disorders, and I want to make school more accommodating for people with any kind of disability! Because nobody should have to suffer just because school isn’t built for us!

I like creative writing and drawing and making origami cranes in my free time, and I play a lot of video games. I like dinosaurs so I think this blog is gonna be dinosaur themed. My favorite is the apatosaurus. They look kind.

i figured out recently that i probably have depression but have been blaming everything on my adhd for a long time... im trying to work out what is due to depression and what is due to adhd but years of assuming its adhd are making it kinda hard... can any other adhd and depressed people help me out? like what things do you struggle with due to each thing?

sorry if this is weird to ask. knowing the source of my mental issues has always made it easier for me to deal so i really wanna figure this out
