Prompt: Scott is hurt, Jackson isn't easy to stop, Lydia's birthday is coming up. And to top it all off, the full moon is tonight.
a/n: I read through this once and edited it so I hope I got all the mistakes

It took a while but Isaac had finally calmed you down, Erica had left and even though Stiles wanted to stay because he was worried about you, Isaac had convinced him that he would take care of you.
"Are you sure?"
By now you had yourself tucked into Isaac as Stiles talked to you. You nodded wiping your tears away, "Yeah, Stiles, I'm fine. You should go home and rest. I need to find Scott and then I will too." He hesitated again before slowly nodding, you didn't see it but Isaac and Stiles had shared a knowing glance like some kind of exchange that just said 'make sure she's safe'.
Stiles had finally left and it was just you two. You guys sat in silence and he just caressed your hair. Even though no words were being exchanged between you, it wasn't awkward. It was comfortable. Even with all the dried tears on your face and the sniffles, it felt right to be there with him.
"How you doing, baby?"
You were startled by the nickname, you had heard him call you that while you were whaling but you hadn't thought he would keep calling you that. "What happened to 'your favorite girl'?" Your voice was so hoarse and it hurt to talk but you couldn't help but joke.
He chuckled at your question, "You can still be my favorite girl and be called baby."
You giggled, "I know, just teasing."
He smiled softly at you, you were still in his arms curled together on the floor. His hand was on your cheek, his thumb brushing your cheekbone, "Nice to see you back to yourself, if you're ready we can walk to the station, Derek will probably take Scott there after." You tilted your head up, nodding lightly, "Yeah, I'm ready."
Sure enough when Isaac and you reached the Hale pack hide out both Derek and Scott were there.
"Scott! Are you okay?" You crashed into the boy's back, who let out a gasp from the impact. He turned around and his eyes widened, "Have you been crying, what's wrong?"
"She was worried about you," Isaac had caught up with you, standing behind you two. "But I'm okay now, you're okay so everything is good," you hugged the boy once more. When you pulled away, you noticed Derek staring off into space, "You guys were having a serious moment, weren't you?" Scott tilted his as if he wanted to say no but in reality it was a yes.
"We can't save Jackson." Your head snapped to Isaac and then back to Scott, "I'm sorry what?"
"We can't seem to kill him either," Derek mumbled. "I've seen a lot of things Scott. I've never seen anything like this. Every full moon is just gonna make him stronger."
"Then how do we stop him?"
The Alpha shrugged, "I don't know."
"Maybe you should just let the Argents handle it then," you chimed in sitting on a chair.
"I'm the one who turned him, it's my fault."
"Yeah but you didn't turn him into this," Scott argued, "This happened because of something in his past, right?"
"That's a legend in a book. It's not that simple." You crossed your arms in annoyance, "What do you mean?"
"What are you not telling us," Scott asked at the same time as you.
"Why do you think I'm always keeping something from you?"
"Because you always ARE keeping something from us!" The both of your voices had resonated, it had even startled Isaac. "Well, maybe I do it to protect you."
"Doesn't being part of your pack mean no more secrets," Scott asked quietly.
"Go home, Scott. Take (Y/N) too. Sleep. Heal. Make sure your friends are safe. Cause the full moon is coming and with the way things are going, I got a feeling it's gonna be a rough one."
~
It was officially spring break and that meant Lydia's birthday was almost here. Much to your surprise, there was a box on your porch from the red haired girl. She had sent you a dress to wear to her party tonight. You thought it was sweet considering you two weren't really friends. You were planning on going to her party so the gesture made some sense, unfortunately, you would have to leave early due to the full moon.
Derek had asked you to find something for the Betas to get through their first full moon, he had mentioned a spell and while you couldn't find anything like that you were able to find a type of potion to deprive them of their senses and calm their minds.
This morning you had decided you should probably pay the newly formed pack a visit, especially since you needed to let Derek know what you found and your plan. Which is why as soon as you got up and got dress you were on your way to the abandoned station.
You walked down just in time to here the pack talking once more, you did always seem to do that. "It's a spiral. Reminds us that we can all rise to one or fall to another. Betas can become Alphas, but Alphas can also fall to Betas or even Omegas," Derek explained.
"Like Scott?" Isaac stood looking at Derek.
"Scott's with us."
"Really? Then where is he now?" Derek looked at the Beta, "He's looking for Jackson. Don't worry, he's not gonna have it easy tonight either. None of us will. There's a price you pay for this kind of power." Derek picked up the chains, which you had recognized to be the same ones you had seen before, "You get the ability to heal. But tonight you're gonna want to kill anything you can find."
You had walked further into the room as Erica joked, "Good thing I had my period last week, then?"
You saw Derek pull out another chain, this one had a large circle and spikes on it, "Well this one's for you." You cleared your throat to let your presence be known and the whole pack turned towards you. Derek had nodded at you, like a peace offering on some kind, "Did you find it?"
You pointed at him, "The spell, no. But I did find this potion type thing that's able to deprive someone of their senses for purposes like this.
Derek looked relieved, "Thank you, do you have it?" You shook your head, "No, it takes a little bit of time to prepare and I just found it the other day. Deaton is helping me though to make sure it's perfect, should be ready tonight."
"Okay, thank you, bring Scott tonight, I might need some help." You hissed slightly, "Oh, yeah that might be a problem."
"What do you mean?"
You sat on a crate nearby as you began to explain, "Well you see, Lydia's birthday is tonight and Allison and Stiles are making us go. So Scott's gonna probably be busy with that and the whole finding Jackson thing." Derek had given you a deadpanned look, unimpressed by your answer. You raised your hands in defense, "Hey, don't look at me like that, they're making me. Lydia's even pressuring me," you leaned forward like you were gossiping to a group of best friends, "She sent me a dress and it was on my front porch this morning. I mean now I have to go, right?"
You scanned the room and almost everybody in the room was amused by your words, except for of course Derek. You sighed, "Don't worry, I'll be here to drop off the potion stuff tonight, I'm not gonna stay there for very long." Derek finally excepting defeat and just nodded walking away.
Erica and Boyd starting to converse from across the room and Isaac made his way to you slowly. You stood quickly, trying to play it off as best as you could. He made you nervous, especially now that you could let your guard down around him.
"You're going to a party?" You nodded slowly, confused since you had just finished talking about it, but when you looked up into his eyes, you saw it.
Jealousy.
"And Stiles and Scott are going too, right?" You nodded once more this time slightly more amused. "Yes, they are even if they weren't going you don't need to worry, I'm not gonna go around dancing with guys." His eyes widened as he realized he had been caught. You grabbed his hands softly pulling him a little closer and whispered, "When you get this whole full moon thing down, there will be nothing stopping you from being my plus one to every party."
Your words had gotten him flustered, you could see it in his eyes and in the way his cheeks glowed a little redder. It was like the old days, with the soft shy Isaac you knew before, "Walk me out?" He nodded his eyes just focused on you like a trance.
~
You had gotten ready for Lydia's party, of course wearing the dress she had given you, and you were at the clinic before you met up with Scott and Stiles.
"So, you added a little bit of rosemary to the water and then what," you asked watching as Deaton crushed the rosemary and threw it in the bowl. "Evening primrose, it's native to America and the oil extracted has been know to be quite anti-inflammatory. When combine with a Nymph's magical energy it was discovered to be able to affect supernatural species however they choose depending on the concoction," he laid whole petals into the water.
He turned and opening a cabinet, pulling out a Bunsen burner and rigging the small bowl above it. He looked at you and pointed to the bowl, "Rosemary is known to heighten concentration and memory, it will allow them to remember their human side more. Normally you would want to let the flowers ferment in the water for a week to allow the water to naturally be flavored."
You looked at him as he turned on the flame, then water instantly starting to steam, "But since we don't have time for that, heating the water will just have to do, it won't be as effective but with Derek and you there I'm sure it'll do the job." He gave you a smile before sliding your book over to you.
"You mean with Derek there, I'm still useless in a fight," you muttered, you felt a hand on your shoulder and you saw Deaton open the book. "Not anymore, I'm going to help you learn a basic offensive spell that uses a similar technique to your barriers. Since you've become more familiar with that and your natural talent, it should pretty easy for you to catch on." Your hand gripped the table, finally, you wouldn't be useless. You could actually hold your own, protect your friends.
"Okay, what do I do?"
He guided you away from the table and into the open space, he stood next to you. "For the most basic offensive technique you keep your hands here," he showed you, his elbows bent and his palms facing out, "You then will push out like your pushing someone away from you."
You copied the movement that you were very well acquainted with, considering you were constantly pushing Stiles around. "This doesn't seem that hard," you commented.
"The movement no, the build-up and timing will be."
You gave the man a confused glance, "What do you mean?"
"You essentially have to build up, in simple terms, your magic power to use this. What you're doing is using the amount of power you allow to either push an opponent back or even strike them. If you don't put enough magic pressure into, you could very well die to an enemy."
Your lips pursed, "Ah, there's the catch, it's never gonna be easy is it?" He chuckled, "No, unfortunately for you, your powers are all about balance. It's all tedious strategy and technique. Now try for real, let your power run through your veins and into your palms," he gestured into the open area.
You took a deep breath and closed your eyes, trying to feel every ounce of the power you spent so long keeping down. It felt like a weight had been lifted and you felts tingles in your hands. You took the stance and pushed with as much force... nothing.
You tried again.
Nothing.
"Why can't I get it," you groaned.
"Relax, you have time. When you build a barrier what do you do?" You huffed at his question, crossing your arms, "Well, I imagine the energy flowing around whatever it is, that seems to work best." He nodded and pointing, "You see, just as I had said to Stiles, the imagination is a wonderous thing, do that and try again."
Shaking your limbs out to loosen up, you took another breath. A few nervous hops later and you brought yourself into the stance once more. You went through the motions, this time even with your eyes opened, you imagine the same iridescent glow you're used to. You pushed it out and this time...
You felt a blast whish passed you, blowing your hair. Everything on the shelves rumbled and shook, clattering around. "Yes! I did it!"
"And just in time too, the water is ready. All we need is just a spark of your power and it'll be good to go." He had bottled the waters into small vials and raised them up to you. Maybe it was the happiness of everything but without even thinking you raised your hand and instantly the vials shined your usual iridescence. When you realized what you did, your eyes widened, "It seems you're becoming more comfortable with who you are," Deaton smiled, "Now, I believe you have a party to go to."
~
"Hey! Allison! Wait up!"
The dark haired girl turned around to see you running, well trying to at least, to her. You were in heels and while you didn't have problems with walking, anything faster was immediately not as easy. "Damn it! Why did she send me a dress," you complained adjusting the fabric, "Normally I wouldn't say anything but tonight is not the night for me to be wearing something even slightly inconvenient."
She laughed at you giving you her arm, which you gratefully took, "You're still helping Derek tonight?" You nodded patting your little purse which held the vials, "Yep, sadly Derek created a problem that he needs others to help fix." Allison nodded along, "Yeah it feels like this whole semester has been about Derek and his pack."
You scoffed, "Tell me about it. We also never get to hang out anymore either so it makes it that much more impossible to not focus on the Derek problem." Allison smiled at you, you two really hadn't been that close recently. When she first came to Beacon Hills, you had easily befriended her (mainly for Scott you will admit) and even though she had hung out with Lydia and Jackson, it never deterred you from the girl. She was truly your closest girl friend if you were being frank.
"Well I'm glad you're here, I've missed being able to hang out," she said tugging you further up the driveway. You reached Lydia's front door where she had greeted you both with a smile, a smile that made you slightly uneasy. You chalked it up to the fact that you just weren't close with the girl and went back to scanning the room for Jackson, and your best friends.
"I'm gonna do a walk of the house, see if he's wandering about," Allison said pointed in the distance. She started walking off when you nodded, "I'm gonna look for the boys, be careful."
"You too."
She was now gone and you once more let your eyes wander the backyard, this time you had actually seen the two boys you were looking for. They had just made they're way outside when you reached them, "Hey."
They acknowledged you, "Have you seen Allison?" You nodded at Scott, "Yeah, we came in together." Scott went to ask you another question but he was quickly shut down by the clicking of heels, you turned to see Allison walking back up to you, "Uh, Jackson's not here."
"Yeah, no one's here," Stiles observed the backyard and he was right, it was eerily quiet. "Maybe it's just early," Scott suggested.
"Or maybe nobody's coming because Lydia's turned into the town wack job," Stiles expressed. You kissed your teeth and gestured to the boy in agreement, your eyebrows raised. "Well, we have to do something, because we've completely ignored her for the past two weeks," Allison said.
"She's completely ignored Stiles for the past ten years," Scott argued and shrugged. Stiles tried to defend himself, "I prefer to think of it as me not having been on her radar." You rolled your eyes, "Yeah, whatever helps you sleep at night."
Scott made an unconvinced look, "We don't owe her a party."
"What about the chance to get back to normal?" The question shocked Scott, "Normal?"
"She wouldn't be the town wack job if it wasn't for us," Allison countered. You held up your hand, "Now hold on. First, just want to clarify, not against throwing her a party, it's her birthday. But it's not our fault she's gone coocoo for Coco Puffs, alright? That was all on Peter. Peter is the reason any of us are even in this mess to begin with, so she can blame him like the rest of us."
There was a silence after you made your point and you broke it once more, "Now that I've made my point let's throw her a good party," you said offering Allison your support.
"I guess I could use my co-captain status to get the lacrosse team here," Scott had relented. Stiles nodded as well, "Yeah, I also know some people who can get this thing going. Like really going." He dug into his pocket for his phone and Allison tilted her head, "Who?"
"I met them the other night. Let's just say they know how to party."
You chuckled catching on to who he was referring to, "Well then I'm sure this party is going to be in good hands. Chop, chop, people, let's go."
Soon enough Stiles' and Scott's called guests had made it and now the party was much more lively, you were pretty sure you could slip out now without Lydia noticing. You were standing with Stiles and Scott, watching as Allison stood across the pool with Lydia.
"Are you gonna apologize to Allison or what," Stiles asked. Scott's head snapped up to look at the boy, "Why should I apologize?"
"Because you're the guy. It's what we do," Stiles pointed out. You snorted at his answer and it caught both your best friend's attentions, "More like, you've made her feel ignored for the past couple of weeks."
"But I didn't do anything," Scott said cluelessly, you shook your head with a slight roll of your eyes as Stiles continues, "Well then you should definitely apologize. See, anytime a guy thinks he hasn't done anything wrong it means he's definitely done something wrong." You nodded this time, "Now, that, is true."
Scott grumbled, "I'm not apologizing." You nudged the boy slightly, "Is that the full moon talking, buddy." Scott looked at you and agreed, "Probably."
"Why do you guys care, anyway."
"Because, Scott, something's gotta go right here," Stiles emphasized, "I mean, we're getting our asses royally kicked, if you haven't noticed. People are dying. I got my dad fired. You're gonna be held back in school. This one is in love with a nut job," he gestured, "And so am I. If on top of all that, I gotta watch you lose Allison to a stalker like Matt, I'm gonna stab myself in the face."
"Hey, I'm not in love with Isaac," you exclaimed. Stiles scoffed, "Yeah, okay sure, I never said Isaac, Mrs. Denial." You went to argue again but was cut off by Scott standing, "You know what, you won't need to stab yourself in the face because I'm gonna do it for y-."
"Don't stab yourself in the face."
Both you and Stiles paused, looking at the Omega, "Why not?" Scott didn't look at Stiles, "Because Jackson's here." You three looked across the pool and there he was just staring at you guys. You blew out a stream of stressed air, "Alright, that's my cue to leave. You guys got this?" Both nodded wordlessly, keeping their eyes on Jackson.
~
Leaving the party was pretty easy actually, you got out like the Flash and now you had to deal with your anxiety of being in abandoned train car with three crazed out Betas. You had rushed into the car to see Erica and Boyd chained up in the back huffing from rage and Isaac and Derek in the front.
"Okay, so I see I might have been a little late," you said awkwardly.
Derek gave a pointed look, "Yeah, no kidding." Isaac however looked much more relaxed than before, still you could see he was definitely struggling. That's when you heard the two Betas in the back to cry and scream. The noise made you wince as you crouched down next to Derek and in front of Isaac.
"How do you not feel this," Isaac gritted his teeth.
"I feel every second of it," Derek had basically snarled. That didn't stop Isaac from shooting back, "Then how do you control it?"
"Find an anchor. Something meaningful. Bind yourself to it to keep the human side in control," Derek instructed tightening the chains, he jutted his chin out to other set on Isaac's other side and you got the message. You took the other chain and began to tighten it as best as you could.
"What is it for you?"
Derek took a pause before answering the Beta, "Anger. But it doesn't have to be that for everybody."
"You mean Scott?" You nodded slowly and whispered gently, "Scott's is Allison, even just the thought of her is able to calm him down." Derek indicated that you were right, "Alright, that should do it," he declared.
You opened your little shoulder clutch and grabbed the three vials, "Here, if you can get these two to take it now, it should help calm them down." You handed him two bottle and he nodded starting to get up but then he was interrupted by a loud break. Isaac had broken the seat holding his chain, he gave you both a knowing look.
"Go, get out of here," Derek urged you and before you panicked even more you opened the third vial you still had, "Take care of those two, I'll be okay." He didn't even respond as he was already moving to the back. You looked at Isaac who had sweat dripping from his forehead, "You need to go, it's not safe." You shook your head sitting on the chair, "Do you trust me?"
Isaac didn't even hesitate before agreeing, "Okay then I need you to drink this, okay?" He nodded and tilted his head back slightly and you poured it into his mouth, resting your hand in his hair to support his head.
"It might take a moment but it should kick in soon," you didn't get to see his reply because Derek had rushed towards you, grabbing your forearm and dragging you out of the train car. You could hear all their screams as Derek left a voicemail for Scott, "Hey Scott, could you call me back, I think I'm gonna need some help." Cue the violent and guttural growls and screams from Derek's pack.
"I thought you said it would help them?"
"It will but it's gonna take some time for it to kick in, it wasn't that strong since I couldn't properly prepare it."
Derek nodded, "Definitely gonna need some help." He unleashed his claws and walked inside the car. You followed closely and quietly behind, Derek had side stepped to stay out of Isaac's slash. You stayed in front, out of the away but also because your body ran cold, the sight of a blood thirsty Isaac terrified you.
Erica and Boyd had broken free and started advancing towards Derek. You had gotten distracted and hadn't even realized that Isaac also broke free until you heard the crunch of metal and the smash of glass. You lifted your hands up protecting your face from the flying shards, "Isaac!" He had already jumped out and you couldn't afford to take care of him yourself, not when Boyd and Erica were currently slashing at Derek, who was on the ground.
You had a clear shot to hit at least Boyd, maybe if you could get him off Derek, the Alpha would be able to fight off Erica himself. You focused your energy trying to make sure your blast was gonna be power and then when you were ready you pushed it out, watching as the glowing blast knocked Boyd off and made him forget about Derek. Only then did you realize that meant Boyd was now on you.
Derek had done exactly like you had thought and started to fight off Erica. You on the other hand were currently using small blasts to at least keep Boyd back. "Boyd, listen to me, I don't want to hurt you. Please, just calm down!" The Beta didn't listen, he snarled before raising his hand high to bring it down for a big slash. When he made a dash for you, you were prepared to feel something since you had no time to push him back.
But you never did.
Instead you heard another crash and felt someone shove passed you, you opened your eyes to see none other than Isaac holding Boyd down against the seat. He acknowledged Derek with a nod, letting him know he was in control. Things calm down once Derek had also knocked Boyd out and locked him and Erica back against the pole.
Isaac calmly sat in his old seat just staring forward, his eyes glowing. You sat next to the boy while Derek began to rechain him. "I think you'll be okay now," Derek started, "Looks like you found an anchor." You noticed in the corner of your eyes him direct his gaze at you but you paid no mind to it, only keeping your focus on the boy in chains.
"My father."
Your eyes widened. You didn't know what you were expecting as his answer but it certainly wasn't that. You saw the same confusion on Derek's face, "You father locked you in a freezer in the basement to punish you." He had said it as a statement but it sounded more like a question.
"He didn't use to."
Isaac set his hand down in his lap and Derek jangled the chains to confirm its security. "Go, take care of them, I got this," you said softly to the dark haired werewolf. He silently looked at you before walking away. You hesitated for just a moment and then you lightly rest your hand on top of Isaac's. "I'm glad you found an anchor, although I wasn't expecting it to be your dad." His head slowly rotating to you, "It's not."
You eyebrows scrunched and you tilted your head, "But you just said-."
"I lied."
Nodding slowly, you adjusted your position, sitting more comfortably, "Okay... then what's your anchor?"
"You."
"Me," you whispered, "but how-." He cut you off once more, "When I ran out, I heard your heartbeat pick up. You sounded so scared and I came back to myself instantly. I had to come back, to protect you, to make sure you were safe. Nothing else mattered." Your whole body dropped out of awe, you're sure you looked lovestruck by now. How do you not after hearing that?
"If it weren't for the audience back there and outside, I would totally kiss you right now."
The boy chuckled lightly, "Guess I have to wait until morning then."

PLEASE issac lahey x stilinski ! reader where they sneak behind stiles back ?
Treachery
“Shhh… it’s one thing my dad finding out, it’s another if Stiles finds out” yn hushed Isaac as he let out a giggle.
“Cmon, it’s not like he wakes up at every little sound” he whispers, leaning in for a a kiss as he ignores her glare.
“Do you not know who my brother is,” she avoids the kiss and slightly pushes him away. Frowning he sighs as he looks over at her door.
“He’s not awake…” he mummers as pulls her closer, peppering kisses all over her face in hopes of breaking her down.
“How can someone so beautiful and smart be related to someone so annoying” he mummers as he presses a kiss on her neck. Sucking on the soft skin enough to leave a mark.
A soft whine left her lips as he gently pushed her down and let his hands slide up her shirt, landing beneath her breasts.
The sweet and tender moment was ruined quickly when the door creaked open.
“Hey Yn, oh my god!” Stiles screamed as he slammed the door shut, causing the two lovers to sit back up.
“I told you he’s up at this hour” Yn grumbled as she hit her boyfriend with a pillow. Isaac didn’t get the chance to answer back as Stiles knocked on the door rapidly.
“Are you done with your treachery Yn Mn Stilinski!” Stiles yelled as he waited for a response.
“Yes…. I’m done with my treachery” Yn huffed sarcastically.
Stiles creaked open the door once again this time popping in his head, shooting daggers at his sister and her lover.
“You……and you!” he pointed as he snarled, fully entering the room. Rolling her eyes, Yn got up from where she sat and stood up.
“Stiles…. I’ve been meaning to tell you”
“Tell me you’re sleeping with my enemy? My greatest enemy?!” He asked
“Okay we’re not enemies Stiles, we’re in the same pack!” Isaac defended himself.
“You shut it!” Stiles pointed at Isaac not looking away from his sister.
“Why not Scott? He’s a good looking guy! Nice hair, beautiful eyes, sure the jawline is messy but you can look past that!”
“I dont like Scott like that! I like Isaac!” Yn sighed as she watched her twin’s eyes bug out.
“Nope nope nope, not happening. No way. I will not allow this” Stiles shook his head as he attempted to drag Isaac out of her room.
Isaac, now with a bored expression, looked over at her, “Same time tomorrow night?”
“sure”
“No!”

"Oh, what the hell is this?"
You and Stiles were sitting at the station with food for Sheriff, who was very unhappy with what he had been given. "Veggie burger," sang Stiles as he rearranged the contents around the table. He handed you yours before setting his salad in front of him.
"Stiles, I asked for a hamburger," complained Sheriff his mouth still full.
"Well, veggie is healthier. We're being healthy," Stiles argued. You nodded along as you rustled your fork through your own salad to mix the contents around equally. Sheriff sighed but went back to unpacking his food, when he uncovered the basket of carrots and celery his face took on the look of disappointment once more, "Oh, hell, why are you trying to ruin my life?"
You gave the older man a pointed look, "That's very dramatic, don't you think? We just do this because we care." You weren't lying, Melissa may have been the one that took you in permanently but the Sheriff had always been like a father to you just as Melissa had been like a mother.
"I'm trying to extend your life, okay? Could you just eat it, please? And tell us what you found."
Sheriff disagreed, "No! I'm not sharing confidential police work with teenagers." That didn't stop you two from looking behind the man and at the wall. You pointed to it as Stiles called attention to the board, "Is that it on the board behind you?" He turned to look at it, "Don't look at that." Stiles continued to not listen, his eyes glued onto the wall.
"Avert your eyes. Hey!"
"I see arrows pointing at pictures," Stiles said move about in his chair.
He finally gave up when he realized that you two were not going to listen. "Okay, okay, stop! Fine. I found something." Both you and Stiles brought your attentions to him, instantly satisfied with his words.
"Mechanic and the couple who were murdered. They all had something in common."
"All three," you and Stiles asked.
"Yeah. You know what I always say. One's an incident. Two's coincidence-."
"Three's a pattern," Stiles finished for his father.
"The mechanic, the husband, and the wife- all the same age. All twenty-four."
Your eyebrows scrunched together, "Then what about Mr. Lahey?" Stiles looked over at you and agreed, "Isaac's dad isn't anywhere near twenty-four."
Sheriff had stuck his finger out, stopping your questions, "Which made me think either 'A,' Lahey's murder wasn't connected or 'B,' the ages were a coincidence, until I found this," he rolled his chair backwards a little and turned. Grabbing the file and handing it you, you opened it so both of you could expect the contents.
"Which would be 'C.' Did you know that Isaac Lahey has an older brother named Camden?" Even though the question was in general, meant for both of you, Sheriff did make the most eye contact with you. You shook your head, going back to reading the words.
"'Died in combat,'" whispered Stiles.
"But if he were alive today, take one guess as to how old he'd be."
"Twenty-four," you said.
Eating was apparently going to have to wait, since both men stood up and began to go over the board. "Man, I really just wanted to eat," you whined begrudgingly getting out of your chair. Your complainants were completely ignored as they started to plot.
"Now what if same age means same class- I mean did you think of that?" Sheriff brushed off his son's question with a slight wave, "Yeah, yeah." There was a brief moment of dead air until Sheriff confessed he hadn't thought of it.
"Well I would've. I mean- look I just got Lahey's file two hours ago." Even though the statement made sense to you, Stiles didn't accept that.
"TWO HOURS? Dad, people could be dying!"
"Yeah, I'm aware of that, thank you."
You placed a hand on Stiles' shoulders to make your presence known, "He can only keep looking at this stuff for so long, Stiles. Sometimes you need to step back to refresh your eyes."
Both guys settled down at your words, before turning towards the photos, "Same class," murmured Stiles. You all shared a look, "Do you have any old yearbooks, Sheriff," you asked.
Like on cue, they scrambled to get any old yearbooks and school files they could get their hands on. To be honest, your glad they didn't need your help on that because truth be told, you really were hungry. You only got a moment to stuff your face with food because they came rushing back soon after slamming all contents on the desk.
Stiles had found the file he was looking for, "Okay this is it, class of 2006. They all went to Beacon Hills."
"Including, Isaac's brother," stated Sheriff.
"Meaning they could've, theoretically, known each other," you said finishing your carrot before standing up once more.
"Two of them were married- so maybe they all just hung out."
Sheriff shook his head lightly, "Well, they could have had the same classes together. They could've-." You saw the man's face fall into a look of recognition. Stiles had caught it too, "What?"
"Same teacher." Mr. Harris' picture was on the page, clear as day.
"All four. Now I don't know how Mr. Lahey fits in, but this- kids, this is definitely a pattern. Alright, get me the 2006 yearbook. These names, we need faces."
"Which ones," you asked as Sheriff went to make a phone call. "Everyone in that chemistry class," he answered, "If the killer's not done killing..."
"One of them is next," Stiles said.
"Yeah."
~
Later that night, you had promised to meet Scott at the clinic to relay everything you just found out. He wanted you there though because Derek was planning to show up and he figured a three versus one when it came to opinions would work better in his favor.
"So, you weren't able to get tickets," you asked currently perched on the half wall in the lobby. The boy confirmed your question, "Nope, but we need to find some because Jackson seemed very hell bent on getting them."
You nodded slowly, "Meaning whoever is controlling him, desperately wants to be there." Scott agreed and then his head perked up, looking at the clinic door. You figured it was because he heard Derek so you felt no need to stand up from your position.
Scott walked over, unlocking the door letting Derek in, "What's he doing here," you heard him asked.
You looked up and felt your breath get caught in your throat, you weren't expecting Isaac to come. Guess it was only fair since Derek wasn't informed of your presence either. "I need him," the Alpha said bluntly.
"I don't trust him," Scott shot back. Mean while all you could do was stare and the Beta made eye contact with you for just a second.
"Yeah, well, he doesn't trust you either," you would be lying if you were to say that his voice didn't make your heart flutter. Once he finished his sentence he walked passed both the other werewolves standing close to where you were sitting on the wall.
"You know what and Derek really doesn't care."
You raised your hands as you blurted out, "Oh my god, one more person talks in third person and (Y/N) might just punch you all in your throats." You heard Isaac snort out a quiet laugh as he turned his head to look at you. His eyes gleamed like stars when they met yours.
Derek had interrupted your little moment, "Now where's the vet? Is he gonna help us or not?" You scoffed at the Alpha, "What great patience you have there, grumpy." You hopped off the wall and crossed the little group to stand next to Scott, just in time for Deaton to come out of the back room.
"That depends, your friend Jackson. Are we planning to kill him or save him?"
"Save him," you and Scott synced.
"Kill him," Derek had said at the same time.
You and Scott both whipped around looking at the dark haired werewolf in disbelief, "Save him," Scott argued once more before looking at you. Your eyes both met and stared at each other for a moment, like a form of silent communication. You nodded at him once more before both of you turned back to Deaton and synced again, "Save him."
Deaton had a small smile on his face and nodded, gesturing for you all to follow him. Derek had silently walked passed definitely grumpy of being out numbered. Scott followed a second later, leaving you and Isaac alone for just a moment.
You turned to him quickly whispering, "Derek made you come?" He nodded in response, "And now I'm glad he did because I get to see my favorite girl." He stood next to you, throwing his arm around your shoulder, keeping you from walking towards the back room door. You chuckled lightly, rolling your eyes, "You're never gonna stop with the nicknames, are you?"
You moved passed him, his arm falling back to his side and you spoke once more, your voice still lowered, "Fine but we still need to talk everything through. After this is all over." He nodded with a smile on his face following behind you and into the room with the others. He took his place in between the other two werewolves and you stood next to Deaton and helped him lay everything out. The sound of Derek's voice made you look up.
"Watch what you touch," he said with Isaac's arm in his hand. Deaton had picked up a jar reading it then showing you the label and pointing to the ingredient in the book laid out in front of you. He had become some what like a teacher to you, every chance you got you were here, learning, reading, practicing and he would guide you. Seems like he thought now was still a good time to show you some things.
Isaac had leaned down resting his arms on the table and now at eye level with you. He smirked when he saw your attention on him before asking his question to Deaton, "So, what are you, some kind of witch?"
"No, I'm a veterinarian."
Deaton's reply made you shake your head in amusement. You saw Isaac process the answer with his lips taking an "oh" shape silently, before he looked at you again. It felt like every chance he got, his eyes were stuck on you.
"Unfortunately, I don't see anything here that's going to be an effective defense against a paralytic toxin. Except for when (Y/N) is able to learn healing abilities, but even then, that could take time we don't have and it would really only be effective after the fact." Your head shot up, your body still leaned over from reading the pages. You glanced at everyone in the room before meeting Deaton's eyes.
"Wait, I can do that?" Deaton chuckled at your astonishment and nodded, "Well that's news to me," you said looking at your best friend.
"We're open to suggestions," Derek continued to conversation. "What about an effective offense," asked Isaac.
"Unlikely," you scoffed as Derek began speaking again, "We already tried, I nearly took its head off. And Argent emptied an entire clip into it. The thing just gets back up."
You mumbled lightly, "I'm really glad I haven't had to fight this thing." The boys looked at you, a certain Alpha showing a very obvious annoyance, "What? I'm sorry, okay. Stiles isn't here to voice my thoughts like he always seems to, I can't help it."
Deaton looked at all of you, "Has it shown any weaknesses?"
Derek answered his question, "Well one- it can't swim."
"Does that go for Jackson as well?"
"No," Scott interjected as you shook your head, your posture now straight and your arms crossed. You continued for the Omega, "He's the captain of the swim team." Deaton nodded along at both inputs, "Essentially, you're trying to catch two people."
He turned grabbing something from a drawer, he show you an amulet, "A puppet... and a puppeteer." He set it on the table and continued, "One killed the husband but the other had to take care of the wife, do we know why?"
Scott piped up gaining everyone's attention, "I don't think Jackson could do it. His mother died pregnant too, and she was maybe murder. I think he couldn't let the same happen to someone else."
"How do you know it's not part of the rules?" Isaac's eyes were slightly glazed over as he stared at the table. When his eyes blinked and his attention was no longer stuck, he continued, "The Kanima kills murderers. If Jackson kills the wife, then the baby dies too."
He looked at Scott and when he did, you felt your body jolt. It was the weirdest sensation and you didn't understand why it happened. It wasn't a normal reaction so your only guess could've been it was something supernatural. You checked to see if anyone noticed and when you confirmed no one did, you made a mental note to ask Deaton about it later.
"Does that mean your father was a murderer," Scott questioned.
"Wouldn't surprise me if he was." His eyes were back in your direction only his focus was on the wall behind you; you were okay with that though, you didn't want him to see the frown you had.
"Hold on. The book says they're bonded, right?" Deaton's hand was held out as he hypothesized, "What if the fear of water isn't coming from Jackson, but from the person controlling him." You nodded along adding to his words, "Like they're not only bonded as in partners but mentally." Deaton pointed to you grabbing a small jar.
"What if something that affects the Kanima also affects its master." He circled the sand like substance around the amulet on the table, "Meaning what," Isaac asked.
"Meaning we can catch them," Scott started.
"Both of them," you finished.
~
The next morning consisted of both you and Scott telling Stiles everything on the way to school. "There's got to be some other way to get tickets, right?" Scott hopped out of Roscoe as he finished his question, helping you out as well. Stiles met you both on the sidewalk, "It's a secret show, there's only one way, and it's a secret." You adjusted your bag onto your shoulders, "Real helpful, Stiles," you joked.
"Hey!"
All three of you turned to find Matt, "You guys know why no one's getting suspended after what happened the other day at school?"
"Just forget about it, nobody got hurt," Stiles tried to convince him. Matt gave him a confused look, "I-I had a concussion." You turned your head and laid it into Scott's shoulder, hiding your small laugh threatening to come out.
"Okay well no one got seriously hurt."
"I was in the E.R. for six hours."
"Okay, do you want to know the truth, Matt? Your little bump on the head is about this high on our list of problems right now." Stiles had proven his point even more by leaning over and placing his hand just inches from the concrete. Your cover of your amusement was taken from you when Scott moved forward to ask if Matt was alright.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine, now. So, you didn't get any tickets last night either."
"Are they selling?"
"Uh, no, but I managed to find two online. You should keep trying. Sounds like everyone's going to be there." He gave Scott a friendly fist to the shoulder before walking away.
"I don't like him," You and Stiles both said, once he was far enough.
"Hey, are you sure about this," he asked Scott. "Last time, whoever's controlling Jackson had to kill somebody because he didn't finish the job," Scott said.
You chimed in, "So, what do you think he's going to do this time?"
Stiles sighed, "Be there to make sure it happens," He shook his head before both boys turned, taking their places beside you as you walked in the school.
~
"Can anybody tell me where the hell Jackson is and why he missed morning practice?"
Coach was right, practice was already over and there was no sign of Jackson. Everyone shook their heads and Stiles leaned over so you and Scott could hear him better, "I thought I told you to keep an eye on him."
"STILINSKI!" You three straighten and looked at Coach, "Jackson!" Stiles shrugged, "Sorry, Coach I haven't seen him since the last time I saw him."
"Oh, and when was that?"
"The last time I saw him was definitely the time I saw him last."
"Again, Danny, tell Jackson no missing practice this close to the championships, okay," Coach was leaned over in Danny's eyesight. The boy nodded, "Sure, Coach." Coach started to back up into his office, "That goes for all of you. I should be coaching college." He started to close his door but just before he did, he looked at you, "(Y/N), I'm going to need to see you later for game plans."
You nodded, "You got it." He finally closed his door, which allowed the boys to go back to talking to Danny. "Sorry, but I only got two myself," Danny said.
"What- do you even have a date, yet?" Your head snapped to Stiles, your arm shooting out to smack him in the stomach, "Really?"
Danny's tone changed, "I'm working on it."
"Okay, okay, hear me out. You give us the tickets, and you devote your life to abstinence and just-." Before Stiles could finished both him and Scott were pulled away and you felt someone right behind you, "How do you two losers even survive?" It was Isaac, you looked behind you to see him looking between the two boys, his hands still gripping their shirts.
You scoffed and pointed to yourself, "That would be thanks to me, actually." Isaac looked at you and smirked, acknowledging your answer. Scott huffed, "What are we supposed to do? No one's even selling." He gestured to the whole locker room, where all the boys stood around, probably waiting for you to leave so they could begin changing.
Isaac's eyes were focused somewhere in the distance, you felts hands lightly place themselves on your waist guiding you closer to Scott. The tall werewolf patted Stiles on the chest, moving passed him, "Wait here, boys."
All of you gave each other looks of confusion, Scott asking, "What is he-?" But he never got to finish, thanks to the crash caused by Isaac. You guys flinched at the loudness, "Ow," you commented.
"Yup, that's excessive," Stiles added on, the sounds only getting louder as Isaac continued his actions. "That'll bruise."
"Ow," Scott repeated your first comment.
"Wow, okay." Isaac walked back over, tickets in hand, he handed you each one before turning around his hand in his pocket, "Enjoy the show."
You guys were in shock until you broke it with your words, "That was... so hot." Both boys looked at you, wide-eyed, when you saw them you just shrugged, "What? He's on our side now, I can say that."
Stiles pointed at you, "I thought you were mad at him?" Scott nodded in agreement.
You rocked your head from side to side, "I was and still kind of am, but that doesn't mean I can't find that," you circled your hand motioning to the boy walking away, "Extremely attractive." Scott and Stiles both scoffed, the spastic both pushing you slightly, "Get out of here, you dummy, let us change."
You laughed and walked out the room, only making it a few steps out the door before you heard your name once more. You turned to see the boy you were just talking about leaning against the wall, "I heard you." You smiled as cluelessly as you could and walked closer until you were inches from his figure, "Heard what, exactly?"
His arm came around your waist again, this time turning you so your back was pressed up against the wall and his body was trapping you. "You find me attractive, huh?" His eyes were on you, glancing at your lips before reaching your eyes once more, "Always did," you answered. You leaned a little closer missing his lips and bringing yours close to his ear and whispered, "See, isn't it so much more fun when you're on our side?"
You grabbed the wrist of his hand that was laying itself on your waist, removing it gently and sliding out of his grip, "I'll see you tonight, Isaac."
~
"Ketamine?"
"It's the same stuff we use on the dogs, just a higher dosage."
Deaton set down the syringe and bottle, "If you can get close enough to Jackson, it should slow him enough to buy you some time." He turned picking up a jar with that same sand from the other night, "This is some of what you will use to create the barrier. This part is for you, Stiles. Only you." He placed it down and Stiles picked it up his eyebrow raised, "Uh, that sounds like a lot of pressure. Can we maybe find a less pressure-filled task for me?"
"It's from the mountain ash tree, which is believed by many cultures to protect against the supernatural." He gestured to the walls, "This office is lined with ashwood, making it difficult for someone like Scott or (Y/N) to cause me any trouble."
We turned back to Stiles to see him still confused, "Okay, so then what? I just spread this around the whole building and then neither Jackson or whoever's controlling him can't cross it?"
"They'll be trapped," Deaton confirmed.
"Doesn't sound too hard," Scott reassured.
"Not all there is," Deaton said. You sighed and slumped your posture, "There's always something."
"Think of it like gunpowder. It's just powder until a spark ignites it." He pointed to Stiles, "You have to be that spark, Stiles."
"If you mean light myself on fire, I don't think I'm up for that."
Scott looked at Stiles worried and then you to which you rolled your eyes. Deaton gave a silent chuckle, "Let me try a different analogy. I used to golf. I learned that the best golfers never swing before first imagining where they want the ball to go. They see it in their mind and their mind takes over. It can be pretty extraordinary what the force of your own will can accomplish."
Stiles mumbled, "Force of will." You grabbed his hand, "You got this, no sweat."
"If this is going to work Stiles, you have to believe it."
~
The night had finally arrived, your nerves were definitely getting to you. It also didn't help that the car ride over seemed really awkward. Stiles was oddly quiet and you could tell that Scott noticed as well.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, why?"
You and Scott shrugged lightly and you spoke, "You didn't say anything the whole way here." Stiles grabbed the bag out of the Jeep and looked at you both, "No, I'm fine. Let's grab the other bag."
Scott looked at Stiles, "We can't, remember Deaton said you have to do this alone."
"Okay, this plan is really starting to suck."
You smiled, "There's our Stiles."
"No, not here, not now."
You turned to see Scott running off, panicked you looked at Stiles who was just as bewildered as you. "What," Stiles said.
"Scott!" You called as Stiles continued on, "What am I supposed to- plan officially sucks!" He looked at you and you just shrugged. "I'm going to go look for Isaac and Erica, you got this Stiles." He waved his hands at you in frustration, "Yeah, whatever, go make out with your boyfriend." You gasped, "He's not my boyfriend!"
"Yet."
You pointed behind him, "Go play with your sand." He huffed a laugh and you turned to make your way into the building. The music could already be heard from inside but still it was quite a shock on how loud it actually was. The lights were blinding, you squinted to try and find the two Betas but to no avail they were no where to be seen in the sea of people.
Deciding that staying on the outskirts was your best course of action, you began to make your way to the side where a line of pillars were. You leaned on one of them as you scanned the area again, looking for any signs of any werewolves.
"You planning on dancing tonight?"
You jumped at the sound of Isaac's voice right in your ear. You turned and you were sure you looked like a deer in headlights considering the boy only started laughing when he saw your face. You punched his shoulder and he faked a wince, "Don't do that! Where's Erica?"
He nudged his head in the direction of the crowd behind you, "In there, thought I would come look for you while she looked for Jackson."
"Me?"
"You and Scott."
You scoffed, "You said me." He smiled making the motion to press his forehead against yours, "Okay, it was mainly for you." You laughed and moved your head away, leaning back on the pillar, "My, you're quite the flirt these days." He shrugged leaning against the pillar with you, one hand in his pocket. He looked down and crossed your pinky with his.
"You're not as mad at me as you have been, it's a little easier now."
You chuckled and nodded, "True, true."
You saw Scott come around the corner, you let go of Isaac and that caused him to look where you were looking. You dashed towards the Omega and hugged him quickly, "Where did you go?"
"Allison's here."
You looked at him, "That means her dad is here." He nodded and started making his way to Isaac, who was still leaning against the pillar watching you guys. Scott handed him the syringe, "Why me," Isaac asked. They were standing side by side while you stood just slightly off from them.
"Because I got to make sure that Argent doesn't completely ruin the plan. Okay, look, you gotta do it intravenously, which means in the vein. When you find him, you pull back on this plunger right here. The neck is probably gonna be the easiest, so you find a vein, you jam it in there, and pull back on this trigger right here. Be careful."
Scott had given him a whole lecture on the plan, Isaac chuckled, "Oh, I doubt it'll even slightly hurt him." Scott shook his head, "No, I mean you. I don't want you to get hurt." Isaac's head shot to the side in surprise. There was this moment of silence between them and that's when you felt it... another jolt. This time it was stronger.
What was going on? Why has it happened twice now?
Your thoughts were broken when hands grabbed your shoulders. You blinked and refocused on Scott, "And you be careful too, okay? Stay out of the way." You scoffed, "Okay, Mom."
"(Y/N), I'm serious."
You laughed and pushed him away, "Yes, I know, I'll be careful. Now go growl at middle aged men." He smiled at you before running off. You and Isaac were left alone once again. He seemed to still be in shock at the conversation he just had.
"I told you so."
"What?"
"I told you, we care about you guys." He turned to see your smirk wearing face. He snickered, "You always have to be right, don't you." You gave a bright smile and a quick nod, "Yep," you grabbed his hand, "Seriously, be careful."
He used the grip you already had on his hand to bring you closer, his forehead back to resting on yours, "I will but it would be nice to have some incentive." You let your eyes lock with his, "Okay, you get out of this alive and I'll forgive you completely." His face practically lit up and he tried to hide it but you saw the bright expression just before he went back to his usual resting smirk.
"Now that's what I like to hear," his head shifted upwards and you felt his lips on your forehead. He pressed them there ever so gently before letting them leave your skin. "I'll see you soon, beautiful," he made the move of leaving first but was stopped by you grabbing the front of his shirt.
"You do anything too sexual with Erica and I'll kill you, Lahey, understand?"
He smirked, "Yes, ma'am."
~
You went to find Stiles after you had set up the area you guys were planning to keep Jackson. You guys had caught each other at the front entrance and you were now making your way towards the room, listening to Stiles excitement on how he had done his task.
You two had made it to the door and when you opened it you had startled the two Beta wolves. "Uh, no, no, no, just us. It's just us. Don't freak," Stiles rambled. You let out a breath of relief when you saw Isaac was alright and it looked like Isaac had done the same when he saw you.
"Is he okay," your best friend asked.
Isaac walked over to Jackson, raising his claw up, "Well... let's find out." When he went to swipe at Jackson his hand was caught as the lizard boy started to crush his hand. Isaac let out a groan of pain and he pulled back as hard as he could. He backed up to guys and you instantly grabbed his arm, "Are you okay?" Even when he was still grunting in pain, he nodded.
"Okay, no one does anything like that again, okay," Stiles pointed to everyone and he received unanimous nods. Isaac groaned one more time, "I thought the ketamine was supposed to put him out."
"Yeah, well, apparently this is all we're gonna get, so let's just hope that whoever's controlling him just decided to show up tonight."
Almost as if on cue, Jackson's eyes opened. You erratically began tapping Stiles and Isaac, "Guys, guys. Something's happening." Everyone watched Jackson as he started to speak, "I'm here." His voiced echoed and you could hear not just Jackson but someone else. It had to be the person controlling him.
"I'm right here with you."
You and Stiles looked at each other and slowly stepped towards the boy in the chair. "(Y/N), come back here." You ignored Isaac's words and crouched next to Stiles.
"Jackson, is that you," you asked quietly.
"Us. We're all here."
Stiles was taken aback by the answer, glancing over his shoulder at the werewolves behind you. "Are you the one killing people," Stiles questioned.
"We're the ones killing murderers."
His voice was full of venom and it was nearly as paralyzing as his actual toxin. It made you shiver out of fear. "So all the people you've killed so far-."
"Deserved it." He cut off Stiles violently.
"We got a little rule book that says you only go after murderers."
"Anything can break if enough pressure is applied."
You looked at Stiles again and took over the questioning, "Alright, so the people you're killing are all murderers then?"
"All. Each. Every one."
"Well, who'd they murder?"
"Me." His reply to your question truly stunned you, "They murdered me." Jackson's eyes rolled into his slitted ones and his head turned straight, "They murdered me." You and Stiles got up and started to back your way to the other two. Isaac had a small grip on your hip, keeping you close. You started to see Jackson's hands move, breaking free from its previous stillness.
"Alright," Stiles panicked, "Ketamine, the man needs more ketamine."
Isaac picked up the bottle, "We don't have anymore." Your best friend whipped around, "You used the whole bottle?" You saw Erica tap Stiles and you all looked to see Jackson standing, he hissed and his head began to shake violently.
"Okay, out, everybody out," you pushed Erica and Stiles forward. They needed no help from you though, all four of you rushed out of the room, bumping into each other until you closed the door. Everyone pressed their back on it and Stiles gave out instruction, "Okay, (Y/N), make a barrier hurry." It was too late, Jackson had busted through the wall and had made a break for it.
You guys all ran for the front door as everyone began leaving, you and Stiles made it outside and he crossed the line meeting Derek who was jogging over.
"Hey so we kind of lost Jackson inside, but it's-," Stiles' attention was on you and the two Betas who had also just walked out. You three were right on the line, they looked at you for reassurance and you raised your hand coming in contact with an invisible wall, it glowed a blueish color as you put more pressure on it.
"Oh, my god! It's working! Oh this is- yes! I did something!"
You heard a roar, it was so guttural. You felt the heat in your eyes, this time it was intense, if you weren't used to it by now it might have actually bugged you.
Scott
"Scott?" Derek had voiced your thought, he looked at you, he saw your eyes glow and he heard it too. The roar of a dying Scott.
"What," Stiles turned to Derek.
"Break it."
"What? No way!"
"Scott's dying!"
"What? How do you know that?"
"Oh, my god, Stiles! I just know! Break it!" Stiles broke the line and Derek took off. You could feel your feet moving before you could even think as you started to try and run too. You were stopped, however, by Isaac grabbing you, both arms wrapped around you.
"NO! LET GO! ISAAC! LET GO! SCOTT HE- HE'S HURT! YOU HAVE TO LET ME GO!" It was almost manic how much you thrashed to try and get out of the boy's hold. He held on tighter, "(Y/N), no, okay you can't, you can't fight yet. Derek will save him, okay, Derek will save him."
Your eyes were pouring tears at this point, "No, no, Scott he needs help, he needs me," you whimpered as you fell to the ground, Isaac coming with you but his arms never leaving their position around you.
His lips pressed against your hair and he just continued to comfort you, "I know, baby, I know. But he's gonna be okay. Derek's gonna save him. You have to stay here, okay, baby?"
You nodded still crying now holding onto Isaac like your life depended on it, muttering the same thing over and over again, "Scott he's- he's dying. He's dying- he's-."
"It's okay, baby, it's gonna be okay."

—————————————————————————————
It’s been a little while since that night on the full moon, you haven’t seen Isaac or Derek so you couldn’t even ask the so called ‘sour wolf’ on whether Isaac was okay or not. You finally told Scott about what happened on the field that day and it was nice for you two just to talk about everything. Everything ended up including how you felt about Isaac, which was definitely embarrassing to come clean about. You still remember the slight tear that had traveled down your face as Scott held your hand. Scott had made it clear that everything was okay and when you saw Isaac again, you would be able to talk to him about everything for real.
To say you dwelled on it the last few days would be an understatement, it plagued your mind every second of everyday. Where was he? Was he okay? Was he mad at you?
You grumbled in frustration, giving your cheeks slight taps, you could worry some more later. Right now, you would just let yourself be entertained by Allison dominating Scott at the rock climb.
“For a werewolf, he’s really bad at this,” you said, looking at Stiles.
He laughed, “Yeah, at this rate, I could beat him.”
“Okay, don’t get too ahead of yourself, you can’t even beat me.” Stiles looked at you, “Uh yeah, that’s because you cheat,” he sassed back.
“How do you cheat at rock climb,” you exclaimed.
Stiles folded his arms, “You just do,” by now Scott had joined the two of you along with Allison, “Alright you two, chill out.” You pointed at Stiles accusingly, “He started it!” The boy gasped in horror as if the accusation had pierced him but before he could make a comeback, Coach had already called for him.
“Alright, next two! Stilinski, Erica, let’s go!”
Your expression dropped, Erica was called. The poor girl was never good at these types of things, not to mention, you could tell she struggled with being in front of other people. It didn’t help that half the school took any opportunity to laugh at her. In the end, you did truly feel bad for her, you tried to reach out but every try was a failure. She would get these big ‘deer stuck in headlights’ eyes and stutter off an apology before escaping through to the nearest door.
Your attention went to the two of them as they started to make their way up the wall. Stiles surprisingly made his way up and down pretty fast, he whipped around when he hit the ground to send you a smug grin. Erica on the other hand, barely made it off the ground before she had started to hyperventilate.
“Erica, you dizzy? Is it vertigo?” You gave Coach a confused look at the suggestion and you weren’t the only one.
“Vertigo’s a dysfunction of the vestibular system of the inner ear. She’s just freaking out.” Lydia explained with a roll of her eyes. Everyone continued to look up at Erica.
“I’m fine,” she called out.
“Coach, maybe it’s not safe,” Allison voiced her concern, “you know she’s epileptic.” Coach’s head snapped towards her in shock, “Why doesn’t anybody tell me this stuff?” You raised an eyebrow at him, “It would be in her file.” He waved you off before going back to Erica.
“Erica, you’re fine. Just kick off from the wall,” he explained slowly, “there’s a mat to catch you.” She nodded ever so slightly before slowly separating from the wall and gliding down towards the mat. Coach supported her weight as she regained her balance. “You’re alright, shake it off,” he said lightly. You had reached out to take her hand but she had already started making her way through the crowd. You could tell she was embarrassed. How could she not be? Half the class was chuckling at her misfortune like it was some kind of comedy show. Walking up to Scott, your eyes kept burning into her back, making sure she was physically okay.
“They’re all such jackasses,” you remarked. Scott’s attention was now on you, he agreed before his shoulders dropped in concern.
Soon enough class was over, you were in the girl’s locker room when you felt your eyes glow. You hid your face from the rest of the girls but Allison must have seen because her hand was on your shoulder in a second, “Y/N what’s wrong?” Shaking your head, you shrugged her hand off slightly. “I don’t know, probably nothing, I still haven’t really learned to control it,” you suggested. It convinced the dark haired girl enough because she turned back to her gym locker to continue what she was previously doing. You did as well, opening your locker you looked in the small mirror you had attached to the door. Examining your face slightly, your eyes glowed once more, this time something in your mind snapped. You flung your body around, staring at the door.
“Erica.”
Allison looked at you once more, “What?” She questioned. She never got an answer, you had already sprinted out the door. Allison called for you, following you down the hallway.
“Scott!” You screamed noticing his figure just barely before he disappeared into the dark gym. You followed him, feet slamming heavily on the gym floor. The sound of others rushing towards you guys could be heard as Scott caught Erica just before she hit the ground and you reached her as well, supporting her weight to the best of your ability. She had starting seizing, shaking uncontrollably in Scott’s arms.
“Set her on the ground,” you urged, Scott nodded and hurriedly placed her on the floor as gentle as he could. By now others had joined you, including Allison and Stiles both with worried expressions. “Put her on her side. Put her on her side,” Allison repeated. She looked at both of you, “How’d you guys know?”
The two of you made eye contact both shrugging, “I just felt it,” Scott said and you nodded.
~
“Boyd.”
It was the next day, in the cafeteria and right now your time was being occupied by Stiles. He had dragged you with him to talk to Boyd, another kid in your class who worked at the ice rink. Currently said spastic boy was trying to get the keys to the rink from Boyd. However, things weren’t going as planned.
“You got the keys?” Stiles asked his body turned half away facing towards the windows of the cafeteria. Boyd stuck his hand out keys dangling making Stiles smile. He grasped the keys from the boy’s hand but to no avail Boyd didn’t release his grip. Confused Stiles tugged again. No progress.
“This isn’t a favor. It’s a transaction,” Boyd reminded.
“Right, yeah,” Stiles replied retrieving his wallet from his pocket, “Absolutely,” he placed a twenty dollar bill on the table. Boyd gave nothing but an unimpressed look, “I said fifty.”
“Really-,” stuttered back Stiles, “I remember twenty. I don’t know. I have a really good verbal memory. And I remember twenty. I remember that distinctive ‘twa’ sound. Twa-enty.” Boyd cut him off, “I said fifty,” he said firmly.
“With a ‘fa’ sound. Hear the difference? If you can’t, I can demonstrate some other words with the ‘fa’ sound.”
Your head rolled from side to side, “Yes trust me, he remembers,” you concluded with annoyance. You didn’t even care if you actually got the keys or not. You didn’t even want to go, well not now, you did before. Before Stiles had invited Lydia at least. You didn’t mind the red haired girl, or you didn’t hate her that is, but Scott had also invited Allison before hand. Originally, it was just meant to be your four meaning Stiles and you were gonna be the other pair since no doubt Allison and Scott were gonna have one another’s attention. Now that Lydia was invited, you were for sure gonna be the one left out. You weren’t angry at either of the boys or girls, just a little bummed that one of your favorite activities was now going to cause you to be an awkward fifth wheel.
Stiles blinked rapidly, “No, no, no. I think I’m recalling it now. Maybe I just got it confused with forty.” He slowly placed another twenty on the table. You could practically feel your eyes roll into the back of your head ‘this was getting to be too idiotic’ you thought. Boyd stayed silence, slowly putting a Dorito in his mouth causing you to snort. Boyd smirked pushing the bag towards you and you gladly took one. Giving him a slight nod, you leaned back in your chair to finish watching the train wreck in front of you. Stiles let out a defeated huff, “Come on, man, have you seen the piece of crap Jeep that I drive?”
“Have you seen the piece of crap bus that I take,” Boyd countered effortlessly.
You reached into your bag and quickly grabbed a ten dollar bill from the side pocket, “Here, I’m growing bored of this back and forth your trying to pull with him,” you said to Stiles sliding the cash across the table. Boyd smiled wide, reaching out once more keys in hand, this time Stiles needed no effort to take them from his hand. Cocking an eyebrow over at you he stood from his seat, “What’s your problem?”
“Sorry, I’m not exactly excited to be a fifth wheel,” you snarked before looking back at Boyd, “Thank you, you’re the best. Sorry about him.” The boy acknowledged your statement before returning to his act of eating.
“What do you mean ‘fifth wheel’,” Stiles questioned confused. You scoffed at him, “I mean exactly what I said,” you gestured your hand back towards your usual table, “you invited Lydia. Scott, Allison, Lydia, you,” you counted on your hand then motioned to yourself, “Fifth wheel.”
He mocked your scoff, “Oh, please, you’re not going to be a fifth wheel.” He wrapped his arm around you, “You’re our girl, you know that. We’re never just gonna leave you out.” You rolled your eyes, “Maybe not intentionally but Scott’s like a lost puppy dog around Allison and you’re no better when it comes to Lydia.” You saw a slight smirk rise onto the boy’s face, he tilted his head towards you, “We’ll if you’re that jealous we could always invite Jackson to keep you company.”
Disgusted, you made a face, “Ew gross, I wouldn’t be caught dead hanging out with Jackson especially not by choice.” He hummed, “You’re not denying that you’re jealous.”
You jabbed his gut causing him to recoil slightly, “I’m not jealous. Why is that even the first thing that comes to your mind? What, are you trying to make me jealous, Stilinski? Have all these years you harbored a crush on me, huh?” You teased, “Are you in love with me, Stiles?” He jumped back, “Don’t you even start with me, no, to all of that,” he waved his hands motioning to your figure.
“Wow didn’t realize I was that ugly,” by now you had reached where Scott was sitting, taking his apple you bit into while you listened to Stiles ramble, “THAT is NOT what I meant and you know it.” You assumed Scott had been listening in on the whole discussion since he was wearing an amuse look on his face. Stiles had sat across from you two, pointing at you like a disappointed parent, “Got em’,” he finally concluded placing the keys onto the table, “Pick you up right after work tonight and we’ll meet at the rink, cool?” Scott’s attention was already caught somewhere else and so was yours.
As if it was a whole different person, Erica strutted through the cafeteria wearing an outfit you would’ve never even considered that she owned. Her hair was done and her makeup as well. She made her way to a table where sat two random boys as she reached over and grabbed one of their apples, biting into it. Her dark red lipstick smeared slightly and she wasted no time wiping it away with a sultry smirk.
“What,” Lydia had joined her hands lightly slapping on your table, “the holy hell is that?”
“It’s Erica.”
You three never even had to look at each other before you dashed into the hallway together, jumping down the stairs and out the doors you find her once more but this time she was with someone. Derek. She was getting into Derek’s car, staring you down as if she was some kind of Bond villain. Once she was fully in the car, Derek sped away. You and Stiles both just sighed as your shoulders dropped, while Scott’s jaw tighten.
“Well now there’s three,” you remarked monotonously.
~
After school you had joined Scott at his work. While you didn’t work there, you often joined him on his shifts, thankfully early on Scott had gotten Deaton (his boss) to agree to it. Provided that you of course didn’t mess with anything, which you never did. It was just a great way to make sure Scott’s homework would actually get finished, plus it gave you somewhere to be instead of just home alone.
When Peter was alive, Scott had gotten shot and Deaton had taken care of it, he had also kept Peter from taking Scott. To this day you and Scott still don’t understand what exactly happened. How exactly Deaton knows about how to heal Scott. Actually, when you found out that Deaton knew something about the supernatural, he was your first choice to ask about what’s going on with you. You just never found a good time to ask, hence why you ended up asking Derek. Scott has also been trying to have a talk with Deaton about everything, which is where you are right now.
“Hey Doc.”
Deaton turned to face Scott. “When are we gonna talk about… the thing that we never got a chance to talk about?”
“Ah, yes. We never did get a chance to talk about that, did we?” You perked up, trying to listen to the quiet conversation going on across the room. Scott shook his head in response to Deaton’s question.
“Now is definitely a good time.”
“Thank God.”
“What do you think? Two dollars?” You tilted your head, what the hell? Apparently you weren’t the only the only one thrown off by the statement. Scott’s eyebrows scrunched together slightly, “Two dollars?”
“Ah you’re right, two-fifty more a hour. It seems like a pretty good raise.” You sighed, apparently now wasn’t a good time to talk about what you two actually wanted to know.
“That’s not exactly what I was… wait two-fifty more a hour?” Scott was cut off guard by the offer, “Done, don’t forget to clean up the cat cages.” Deaton shook his hand and left the room before Scott could come to terms with what just happened.
“Damn, he just cleaned your clock, you know that right?”
“What?”
You rolled your eyes and chuckled, “Nevermind.”
~
After Scott had finished his shift, Stiles arrived to pick you both up. You were on your way to the ice rink now, you were also still grumbling and whining in the back seat as he was driving. He looked at you from the rear view mirror and Scott twisted back to see you as well, they both laughed at your small fit you were in the process of throwing.
“Come on, Y/N. It won’t be that bad, we’re not gonna leave you out,” Scott reassured tapping your knee as you turned up your nose at them.
“Yeah, brighten up, plus we could still call Jackson to come hang out with you, if you want,” Stiles laughed.
You moaned, “No, absolutely not.”
Scott had glanced at Stiles slightly, had you been paying attention you would’ve seen the sly look they exchanged before Scott turned towards you once more, “Are you sure you’re not jealous?” You felt yourself choke on air, clearing your throat you said, “Why would I be?” Scott shrugged, “I don’t know, you didn’t have a problem with this idea until Lydia was invited. Maybe you wanted Stiles all to yourself.” You snapped your head down from looking at the ceiling to now both boys and you saw the cocky smirks they were both wearing. You scoffed and kicked both their seats, “Bite me.”
“Hey, what did Roscoe do to you?”
To be honest, this isn’t the first time you three have had this back forth (all joking of course), since Melissa has had you for so long she’s always treated you and Scott like you two were siblings. Stiles on the other hand, wasn’t allow in your room because he was a boy. Melissa had always given him a slight look when he would get too close as well. Those two things eventually dissipated and became less of a concern as you both got older. The inside joke between you three, did not unfortunately. After Scott had found out about your slightly different rules when it came to Stiles, you were teased tremendously for supposedly having a crush on the boy. Every time brought both boys pain to the gut.
You three arrived at the ice rink, Scott leaving and holding his door opened for you as Stiles came around the side to join you. Allison and Lydia had shown up already waiting for you. The boys went to unlock the doors as you follow close behind, when they finally got them unlocked they turned to you both playfully biting each side of your shoulders.
“Ow, what the hell was that for?”
“You said to bite you,” they synced.
The girls walked up, Allison reaching for Scott and Lydia barely acknowledging Stiles before walking past you both. You gave him a pointed and mocking look, he gave you a push before closing the doors and you both made your ways towards the rink.
You sat down in the bleachers, little bit away from where Lydia and Stiles were currently sitting. You know they were talking but quite frank you couldn’t really hear them. You had brought yourself a book because even though your best friends spent the whole day stressing that you wouldn’t be sidelined, you knew them way better than they thought you did. You glanced at your phone and debated on maybe calling someone to pick you up, but who would you even call?
Jackson? Absolutely not, even if you did, he wouldn’t come get you and you wouldn’t be able to stop yourself from punching him in the face if he did.
Danny? No, you didn’t want to bother the poor boy.
Matt? No way in hell, he gave you the absolute creeps.
Isaac? Now that, was a maybe, however the boy was in the wind. You didn’t even know if he had his phone or if he would even pick up. You haven’t spoken since that night at the police station and considering Erica’s behavior you were skeptical that the Isaac you knew would be the one to show up.
You sighed, placing your phone back next to you, with your hands at your cheeks and elbows on your knees, you watched Scott and Allison walk off towards the rink. Eventually so did the silent pair that was on your other side. Deciding it was best to just suck it up, you got off the bench and stepped onto the ice. It was one of your favorite activities after all. You twirled and skated, playfully messing around in the corner while the other four did their thing, all in their own worlds. That is, until you heard a scream. It was truly deafening, terrifying, unlike anything you had ever heard before. You placed your feet in stopping position and scanned to find the owner of the scream, only to find Lydia on her hands and knees screeching at the ice below her.
You all make your way towards her, inquiring on if she was alright, searching for any sign that something was wrong but nothing. All that could be done was Stiles holding her while she whaled.
~
The next morning at school, you were leaving class. You kind have been avoiding Stiles and Scott today, only talking to them this morning while on the way to school. You didn’t realize it before but you were more hurt by being left alone than you thought. After what happened with Lydia you guys all decided it was time to leave and when you got home, you quietly made your way to your room mentioning to Scott about just being tired. You had laid in bed for a couple hours wide awake, just thinking.
Were you jealous? No, you couldn’t be, despite the jokes, you didn’t actually like Stiles nor Scott like that.
After you had pondered for a little bit, you had found your answer.
Were you scared? Maybe. But scared of what?
...
Being replaced.
For the longest time, it was just Scott, Stiles and you. The trio. Always together, always there for each other. You did everything together and sure you knew eventually you would find partners and maybe other friends but it never dawned on you that if the boys each found someone, you would possibly be fazed out. You knew they would never intentionally do anything to push you away but that didn’t stop your worrying.
Your thoughts were cut off by a slam to the lockers. You turned the corner to see Erica backing up Scott against the lockers. Allison was in the distance too, she was witnessing everything. You didn’t know what exactly was happening but you knew that it was nothing good. You marched towards the two, grabbing Erica’s shoulder.
“What do you think you're doing?”
Erica finished her sentence to Scott, he gripped her wrist and pulled her off of him. She snarled at you before turning her back away from you.
“I’ll tell Isaac you said hi.”
You felt yourself falter, Scott noticed that your whole demeanor changed as well. He looked down and grabbed your hand squeezing it.
“I haven’t seen you today, we haven’t seen you,” he clarified. You took a shallow breath, “Yeah just had a lot on my mind.” He kept his gaze on you, “Is it about Isaac?”
You shook your head.
“Is it about the ice rink?”
You hesitated, before slowly nodding. Scott sighed, before pulling you off to the side, “We weren’t kidding when we said you’re not a fifth wheel.”
“I know, it’s not really that,” you mumbled, staring at your feet.
“Then what’s the matter?” You shrugged, swaying like a child before mumbling your answer once more, “I just kind of feel like I’m being replaced.” Scott was taken aback by your answer, he had no clue what to say. There was an odd silence in the air for a little while before Scott finally figured out what he wanted to say, “What made you feel like that?”
All you could do was shrugged once more. Talking about this was so hard. You finally sighed, “Okay, before I start, I’m gonna say this once and only once. No, I don’t have a crush on Stiles. Look honestly it’s just the fact that he’s trying to integrate her to be a part of us. I know it sounds silly but it’s true. It’s completely different with Allison, she’s your girlfriend, plus I’ve never had any problems with her. Lydia’s just I don’t know, she’s not awful, definitely better than Jackson. I guess since she’s not Stiles’ girlfriend, I get annoyed because with you two it’s different. You guys are DATING, of course I expect you guys to be in your own world but Stiles… she doesn’t even acknowledge him half the time so I know all his attention is going to be him trying to get hers. At least if they were dating it would be the same situation but it’s not. He’s-.”
“Okay, okay, hey look at me. Calm down, at this rate you're gonna make the lockers fly off the wall,” Scott joked holding your hands.
You wiped the tears that you hadn’t even realized had been falling, “Sorry.” Scott moved his hands to your shoulders, “Don’t be sorry, now what were you going to say?”
You took a deep breath, “He’s supposed to be my single buddy, you know, the friend that becomes your pair when the other starts dating someone. I guess in the end, I don’t really feel like you’re trying to replace me but Stiles is.”
“No, no, no, look I know I don’t need to say it but I’m going to, we’re not trying to replace you. Y/N, you’re our best friend, we’re family. Nothing and I mean nothing, could ever replace the bonds we share with you.”
Hearing that made you feel so much lighter, you know deep down you were being kind of ridiculous but maybe to keep you from imploding you just needed to hear that. That you were important.
“You’re right.”
“And I’m gonna talk to Stiles.” Your eyes widened, “What, no! Don’t do that, it’s fine!”
“Too late. Now come on let’s go to lunch.”
Scott had that goofy grin, that grin that says ‘I’ve got everything planned.’ “Also, you didn’t need to say that you didn’t have a crush on Stiles. I know you only have eyes on Isaac.” That caught you off guard, you choked on air, your head shooting up to look at Scott who just had that stupid smug smile on his face.
“Shut up.”
“It’s true! Even before all this happened, I remember when you two got assigned for that project together. You wouldn’t stop talking about it and you would mention him one too many times for it just to be because you had a project together.” You felt like your heart was gonna beat out of your chest. You knew that he knew but you didn’t know that he knew all that.
“Is it that obvious?” You said meakly.
~
During lunch, Stiles had rushed in to point out that Boyd was missing from school today, meaning Derek had gotten to him. That’s what you were dealing with now, the game plan. It was already after school and Scott was sending Stiles to Boyd’s house. He was also trying to send you as well but you wouldn’t budge, not when there was a chance to see Isaac. To see him okay.
“If he’s not home you call me, got it?” Scott instructed as you three headed down the hallway.
Stiles had slow his pace which Scott noticed immediately, “What?”
“Maybe we should let him. Boyd, you know? You said Derek’s giving them a choice, right?”
Scott grabbed his shoulder pulling him down the hallway, you trailing right behind them, “We can’t.”
“You got to admit, Erica looks pretty good. The word 'sensational' comes to mind.”
You scoffed, “Yeah, because she was basically manipulated into believing that this would fix all her problems. Sure she heard what Derek warned her about but I can guarantee she wasn’t listening. Big difference. I would put money on it that Derek is brushing it off like he did with Scott ‘If you listen to me, you’ll be fine.’ He won’t give them answers just false security.”
“How do you think she’s gonna look with a wolfsbane bullet in her head,” Scott argued as well.
Stiles took both your comments to heart, “Alright, all I’m saying is maybe this one, isn’t totally your responsibility.”
“They are,” Scott disagreed, “You know this thing is gonna get out of control and that makes me responsible.”
“Not to mention, could we live with ourselves if something happened to them, knowing we could have possibly helped them?” You added.
Stiles’ hands clapped to his sides, “Alright, I’m with you guys. And I also got to say this newfound heroism in you two is making me very attracted to you.”
You and Scott scoffed, “Shut up.”
“No, seriously. Do you want to just try making out for a second? We could take turns,” he suggested gesturing to you three as you pushed him away, “Just to see how it feels.”
“How about I take my fist to your face so you can see how that feels?”
~
Scott and you had reached the ice rink to see Boyd finishing out his shift. You had hurried closer, calling to him to get his attention.
“Boyd!”
“We just want to talk,” you pleaded.
At the sound of your voice, Boyd’s head had tilted up towards you.
“Hey, come on, Boyd, please,” Scott begged, “Did Derek tell you everything? And I don’t just mean going out of control on the full moons. I mean everything.” Boyd had shut down the machine he was using, “He told me about the hunters.”
“And that’s not enough for you to say no,” you asked. Scott continued your point, “Whatever you want, there’s other ways to get it.”
“I just want to not eat lunch alone everyday.” His statement froze you, you hadn’t considered something like that but still.. this wasn’t the best way.
“Trust us, Boyd, if you’re looking for friends, you can do a lot better than Derek,” you said.
“That really hurts, Y/N.” Derek. Of course he was here. Scott had turned around making sure you were behind him but that didn’t stop you from seeing him.
Isaac. He was okay, well at least you thought so. You were right though, he definitely wasn’t the same boy from before. Now, he not only dressed differently but he wore a different expression entirely. The sweet smile you adored was gone, replaced with a smug smile. “I mean if you’re gonna review me at least take a consensus,” Derek motioned to the two teenagers beside him.
“Erica, how’s life been for you since we met?”
“In a word… transformative,” She roared, literally. You and Scott adjusted your stances already seeing where this was going.
“Isaac?”
“Well, I’m a little bummed about be a fugitive but other than that, I’m great.”
You scoffed, “Let me add to that. Did dear old Derek tell you the whole reason Scott is in this mess, the whole reason all of us are in this mess, is because of his family.” You had moved next to Scott by now, pointing at Derek, “Did he tell you that the only reason he’s an alpha is because he decided to be a selfish prick and slash his own uncle’s throat? Even after he said he wouldn’t for Scott’s sake?” Your rant had caused an awkward feeling to fall in the room. The two teenagers clearly looked slightly uncomfortable at the new information, Derek had cleared his throat before staring back at Scott. You crossed your arms, looking at Scott before facing the newly formed pack, “I guess he didn’t. Hm, interesting, don’t you think?”
Scott had taken a few steps forward, “Okay, hold on. This isn’t exactly a fair fight.”
“Then go home, Scott,” Derek smiled.
With a growl, Scott had punched the ice denting the surface, “I meant fair for them.”
Isaac and Erica had no problem advancing towards Scott. He had taken your arm and quickly moved you closer to the machine and Boyd, out of the way and safe. Scott turned and without any effort flung Isaac across the rink, moving on to slam Erica into the side of the ice rink machine. That didn’t stop the two from getting back up and trying again. They had actually had a second where they got the upper hand, pushing him in between them before Isaac flung him away just like Scott had.
“Isaac, stop! Leave him alone!” He ignored you, his focus completely on Scott. It didn’t matter, Scott beat them down again and again, until they finally stayed down.
“Don’t you get it? He’s not doing this for you, he’s just adding to his own power, okay? It’s all about him. He’s makes you feel like he’s giving you some kind of gift, when all he’s done is turn you into a bunch of guard dogs!” Scott yelled, slinging them across the ice and back to Derek. They laid there in shock of what Scott had just done all by himself.
“It’s true. It is about power.” Derek started making his way towards Scott now, transforming, his eyes glowing that blood red and fangs growing. He slashed at Scott, punched, kicked, beaten down your best friend. You couldn’t believe your eyes, it was brutal, it made you shake out of fear for the boy. You had to do something but you didn’t know what. All you knew was that you were afraid, afraid of what might happen if you didn’t do something. You glanced at Isaac and Erica, still sitting on the floor their attention now switching from Derek to you. You could see it in Isaac’s eyes, he knew you were gonna do something.
“Y/N, No!”
You ran as fast as you could on the ice, reached for Derek’s hand before he could slash at Scott again but it was useless. He threw you like trash, away from them. You landed with a loud crash and a groan from pain. You heard your name being called from a few different sources but you couldn’t tell. Everything got fuzzy. Only it wasn’t from the throw it was like from before, with Lydia. Your senses were basically rendered useless, you couldn’t hear anything and everyone looked slightly blurry. You knew they were looking at you though, you knew they could see it.
Your eyes glowing.
Before Derek could notice you, before he could stop you, you picked your head up and that’s when your sense came back. Heighten, stronger and clearer than ever.
“Get away from him!”
You slammed your hands on the ice, causing it to ripple like it was water, it traveled towards Derek knocking him off his position on Scott’s throat. He fell to the floor and an energy pushed him into the ice by his throat, almost like someone was stepping on his now. The ice cracked underneath him but you didn’t care. You rushed to Scott putting his head in your lap.
“Scott are you okay?” He lightly nodded, coughing up some more blood. By now Derek had risen up, staring at you in shock. You shot him a glare, “Leave, or I’ll do it again. And this time, I won’t stop.” Derek had slowly backed away going to his two new betas, who were now staring at you. Erica try to tend to Derek but he just brushed her off, Isaac on the other hand, he kept staring at you even when Derek tried to guide him out. You couldn’t tell if he was concerned for you or scared of you. Boyd had gotten down from where he was sitting getting ready to join the others.
“Boyd, please don’t, we don’t want to see you get hurt,” you pleaded one last time.
“You don’t want to be like them,” Scott warned
“You’re right,” Boyd lifted his shirt, revealing his bite, “I want to be like you.”

You had gotten Scott back to the clinic where he was worrying about his wounds from Derek, “Why aren’t you healing?” You shrugged even though he was mainly talking to himself, you rounded the corner to see a guy on the table, slashed.
“It’s from an alpha,” Deaton said coming from the shadows, “I think maybe we better have that talk now.”

Restraint
Omega Part 1 | Omega Part 2 | Shape Shifted | Ice Pick | Abomination | Venomous | Frenemy | Raving | Party Guessed |
Prompt: With Jackson out of the van, he's become impossible to deal with.
a/n: okay guys I won't lie, I looked over this chapter but wasn't very through so there's probably a few mistakes sorryyyyy
__________________________________________
Stiles and Scott had sent you back home so they could talk to Sheriff without raising any suspicion on you. That proved to be pointless since when you got back home you ended back in the car, heading to the police station. Only you weren't going by yourself, you were with Melissa and she was not happy.
You two had reached the police station and other than the occasional questions to see if you were involved, Melissa was silent. Not like she needed to say anything to convey her anger, she was practically dripping in it. Walking into the police station didn't make it better either because down the hallway there was Scott and Stiles, sitting in an interrogation room being informed of the new restraining order against them.
There was a silence between everyone in the room when Sheriff had finished his list, only for his son to be the one to break it, "What about school?"
"You can attend classes while attempting to maintain a fifty foot distance."
"Okay, what if we both have to use the bathroom at the same time and there's only two stalls available and they're only right next to each other?" He was met with nothing but a look of irritation from his father, "I'll just hold it."
They were finally let out of the room and now you were witnessing Stiles and his dad going back and forth while you passed by with Melissa and Scott in front of you.
"It's not just this," She had turned him around, "Although, a restraining order is a new low that I didn't think that you would reach quite this soon. It's everything on top of it." By now you had zoned out for a bit since it was all directed at him that is until she got to the punishment.
"Then no... no Stiles."
"What, no Stiles?" You hadn't even realized the boy was behind you until you heard his voice.
"No Stiles! And that goes for you too!" She pointed at you. Your eyes widened as you raised your hands.
"What!? What did I do?"
In the end, Melissa gave her punishment saying she would be in the car after she had come to the conclusion that all this was because of Scott's dad. "I'm the worst son ever," Scott claimed leaning against the wall. Stiles had sighed slumping against the wall as well.
"Well, I'm not exactly winning any prizes either."
~
When you had gotten home, you were laying in bed just trying to sleep despite everything going on. However the buzzing of your phone was very distracting. You finally had enough of the constant disturbance to your attempts to sleep. Grabbing it, the light blinding you slightly, you read the texts from a surprising party.
__
This is Derek
Come to the station tomorrow
Urgent
__
Great, now you definitely weren't getting any sleep. How did he even get your number? It must have been Isaac, who else could it have been? You closed your eyes, forcing yourself to fall asleep as if it was the last thing you would ever do.
The next morning you found yourself in the one place you never thought you would be back to, the abandoned station. You also never thought you'd be back because Derek, of all people, demanded you to. You let out an unsure sigh as you walked down the rickety stairs for the second time. You could hear the voices of Derek, Erica, and Isaac discussing the full moon.
"Oh my, these look comfortable," you could see Erica picking up chains as she spoke.
"You said you were gonna teach us to change whenever we wanted," Isaac said.
"There hasn't been time," Derek replied as he shuffled through the chest of what was essentially medieval torture devices.
Isaac wasn't in the least bit pleased with his Alpha's answer, "But if you have to lock us up during the full moon, then that means you're alone against the Argents."
"They haven't found us," the Alpha sang walking away.
"Yet! So how about we forget the Kanima?"
"We can't! There was something about the way Gerard looked at it. He wasn't afraid... at all. I don't know what he knows or what he's planning. But I'm sure about one thing, we have to find it first."
"My, my, I always seem to walk in during these big speeches of yours Derek," you bounded your way down the last few stairs catching the three werewolves' attentions.
"(Y/N)? What are you doing here?" The curly haired werewolf didn't realize but his voice made you shiver slightly.
"I was actually just wondering that exact thing," you turned your glance to Derek, "What do you want Derek?"
"You're a Nymph."
Your eyes widened but then your face flipped to confusion, what did that have to do with anything? "Okay, and what about it? How do you even know?"
He pointed to your bag, "The book you held up the last time you were here, your eyes and from what Erica and Isaac told me you did at the school."
You kissed your teeth, "Okay so is that all you called me here for? Just to tell me that you knew?"
"I need something from you."
"No." Your words had cut through the air without any hesitation. Derek tilted his head from irritation, "I know you don't like me-."
"You're right, I don't."
"This isn't for me, it's for them."
You took a pause and then nodded, acknowledging his statement, "I'm not sure if it's true or not but there's a spell that's rumored to have been created to reduce the abilities of werewolves. It was mainly created for purposes like the full moon. Do you think you could find it?" His words made you hesitate, still you gave him an unsure nod, "I think so, I'll need some time though."
Derek nodded in understanding, "Thank you."
"Yeah, sure. I've got to get to school." You turned and made your way towards the stairs trying not to look at Isaac on your way out.
~
When you got to school you met the boys at the library where they were waiting for you and Allison. She had shown up only moments after you did. You saw her slowly walk through the aisles before coming to the point where only one shelf remained between you three and her.
She slid her tablet through the shelf allowing Scott to take it and start to look over the scripture. "It's everything Lydia can translate. And trust me, she was very confused." Scott looked through the books towards her, "Yeah, what'd you tell her?"
"That we're part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures." Allison and Scott shared a small laugh as you smiled.
"I am part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures," Stiles said with awkwardness.
Allison stood shocked, "Oh. Great."
Your hand flew to your mouth to snuffle your laugh that was on the verge of coming out and Stiles gave you a raised eyebrow before glancing at the dark haired girl with a straight smile.
"Okay does it say how to find out who's controlling him," Scott asked.
"Not really. But Stiles was right about the murderers." Queue the spastic boy's small yell of victory. "It calls the Kanima a weapon of vengeance," Allison continued, "There's a story in there about this South American priest who uses the Kanima to execute murderers in his village."
"Alright, see? So maybe it's not all that bad," Stiles remarked.
Allison countered back almost instantly, "Until the bond grew strong enough that it killed whoever he wanted it to." You nodded quickly, "So bad, very bad."
Stiles agreed with you, "All bad, all very, very bad."
"Here's the thing though, the Kanima is actually supposed to be a werewolf. But it can't be..." You looked over the Omega's shoulder reading the text, "Until it resolves that in its past which manifested it."
"Okay if that means Jackson could use a few thousand hours of therapy, I could've told you that myself." You scoffed at Stiles' words, "Seriously, that dude is all sorts of messed up."
Allison raised her head slightly, "What if it has something to do with his parents? His real parents." Scott turned to you and Stiles, "Yeah, does anybody actually know what happened to them?"
You could almost see the flicker of light that turned on in Stiles' eyes,
"Lydia might."
"What if she doesn't know anything," Scott acknowledged the possibility. You rocked your head side to side in thought, "Something tells me Lydia knows a lot more than she lets on."
"Well, he doesn't have a restraining order against me, so I'll talk to him myself." You looked at Allison, "He doesn't have one on me either. Do you want me to come with you?" She quickly denied your offer, "No my mom is watching the cameras practically every second, we don't want to draw suspicion."
Scott drew a blank, "Okay, what do I do?"
"You have a make-up exam, remember," She reminded him.
Scott looked over at the two of you for back up, which he never got as shown by the two in sync nods, "Seriously, you desperately need to raise your grades," you added on. The couple went on to have their moment, until Stiles interrupted it with pushing his head through the shelf. After Allison had shoved him back, all four of you went on about your days the best as you could.
Stiles had set out on a mission to get information out of Lydia, Allison was on her way to try and talk to Jackson, Scott went to take his make-up test, and you were trying to not run into a certain tall werewolf.
All morning it felt like he was just everywhere and since you weren't assigned any sort of task you were practically forced to notice. Every hallway you went down, every corner you turned, he was there. It was beginning to irk you. You finally had to come to a stop at your locker and you could already feel that it was a bad decision.
"Hey, beautiful. Been looking for you."
You sighed, slowly closing your locker shut and coming face to face with the same boy who you've been trying to avoid. "Hi, Isaac," he gave a slight pout at your response, "What, no smile? I thought you would be happy to see me." His attitude made you sneer, "Don't play games with me, Lahey. I'll smack you." Your feet slammed into the floor as you walked away, heavy with anger.
"Okay, okay, too much. Seriously, (Y/N), wait up."
"No."
Your response didn't slow him down, in fact, it sped him up. Isaac had jumped forward in front of you, blocking you from leaving.
"Please just talk to me, I'm dying sweetheart," he pleaded.
You stopped and gave him a once over, your arms crossed, "You look fine to me." He groaned out of frustration, you turned once more heading for the opposite direction even if that meant being late for class. "Also, don't call me sweetheart, you don't get the privilege."
He, once again, dashed in front of you finally placing his hands on your shoulders, "Okay, okay, look I know you're still upset at me. I get it, okay, but can we please just talk. We have a killer lizard on the loose, I feel like that's a serious issue."
Your eyes narrowed as you realized what he was actually here for, "You're trying to get me to tell you who it is."
"So, you guys do know."
A scoff traveled out of your mouth with such power it was comedic, "Of course we do and I'm not telling you. Now, will you stop following me?"
"I can't, orders."
"See, again with the orders! This is exactly why I'm mad at you in the first place! Not to mention, you kissing me out of nowhere," you exclaimed. The hallway had pretty much cleared out by now, leaving just you two plus a few skippers.
Isaac's face scrunched up slightly, "What, you're mad because I kissed you?"
Out of reflex your hand shot out, punching his shoulder, "That's all you got from that?" When you didn't receive an answer, just a look of expectation you continued to gripe, "I'm not mad you kissed me. I'm upset because it's messing with my head."
"But you kissed me back," he argued, cluelessly.
You wiped your face out of irritation, "Yes, I know. But-"
A panicked gasp left you as you felt the familiar heat of your eyes glowing and one thought enter your mind.
Allison
"(Y/N)? What's wrong?"
Without much thought or care you shoved passed Isaac, sprinting towards the locker room. You could hear the calls of your name coming from the boy who was now also following after you. It didn't stop you though, nothing did until you got to the locker room door. You threw your body's weight at the closed door, slamming through to see Allison on the floor and Scott throwing Jackson around.
You crouched beside her grabbing her shoulders to gain her attention, "Hey, are you okay?" She nodded shakily and you secured your arms around her in a tight hug.
By now Isaac had arrived coming into the battleground that was the boy's locker room. You saw his head quickly travel from the two fighting boys and then to you, unsure of what to do.
He didn't need to think any longer as Jackson had thrown Scott back through the other door and into the hallway. Allison and you had finally gotten off the floor and rushed out the same door. You found Stiles and Erica already trying to separate the two. Erica had a death grip on Jackson where as it took you, Stiles, and Allison to keep Scott from going back for Jackson.
Isaac was just behind you and Mr. Harris had turned the corner yelling to try and break up the fight. "Hey! ENOUGH! Enough."
"What do you idiots think you're doing? Jackson! Calm down!" Harris had turned to the Omega, addressing him, "Mr. McCall, you wanna explain yourself? Stilinski? (Y/N)?" He had looked to you finally for answers but you couldn't give him any, from the lack of ideas for a lie and the lack of breath you had from trying to hold back Scott.
You felt Isaac gently place a hand on your waist, giving you some much need physical and emotional support.
"You dropped this." Everyone had looked behind them to see Matt holding Allison's tablet out to Scott, which was intercepted from Mr. Harris. "You and you," he started pointing at the two boys who had been fighting, "Actually, all of you... Detention. 3 o'clock."
~
After school hours had arrived and the whole lot of you were entering the library for detention. Stiles, Scott, and you had sat at one table; Allison made her way to another just across from you, Jackson and Matt followed her lead. You felt a presence next to you and when you turned you were met with the eyes of the blonde werewolf. You rolled your eyes going back to keeping your attention on the two boys across from you.
You heard the sliding of a chair coming closer to your table and then another body had joined you. Isaac, who had given you a slight smile, did nothing but keep his attention on you.
"We can't be in detention together. I have a restraining order against these tools," Jackson motioned to your two best friends.
Harris had replied back with an undertone of sass, "All these tools?"
"No, just us tools," Stiles answered gesturing to him and Scott.
"Fine. You two, over there." Scott and Stiles moved up to the front table leaving you behind with the Beta wolves. You let out a huff and slumped slightly in your chair. Then Mr. Harris started to make is way to the library's front desk, turning his back away from you. When you saw an opening you quickly and quietly slid out of your chair and into the one right next to Scott.
The werewolf was rocking his body out of anger and pounded his fist onto the table, "I'm gonna kill him." Stiles pointed at the boy, "No, you're not. You're going to find out who's controlling him and then you're gonna help save him."
You cocked an eyebrow, your arms crossed, "But you're more than welcomed to kill the one controlling him, to release your rage."
"No," Scott turned his head back to you two, rapidly shaking his head, "You were right, let's kill him."
"Oh, no," Stiles sighed.
You fixed your posture and changed the subject to try and ease the mood, "So, why were you with Erica?" Stiles gave you his signature sarcastic look, "Really, why were you with Isaac?"
"I asked you first."
"Fine, she caught me in the hall, she might know what happened to Jackson's parents." You nodded satisfied with the answer and with the ease you could start to feel come off Scott. "Now you."
Your eyes snapped up, "What?" Stiles scoffed a laugh, "Why were you with Isaac?" Scott had glanced at you, curiosity in his eyes, he clearly wanted to know as well.
Mumbled words left your mouth as you casted your gaze onto the table. Stiles cupped his hand over his ear mocking you, "I'm sorry, what was that?"
"He found me in the hallway, he didn't want me to be mad at him anymore," you mumbled once more.
Both boys had looked at you in confusion, "The Lydia thing," Scott asked. You shook your head slowly as Stiles had slid his hands onto the table in a questioning motion, "Then what are you mad at him for?"
"He kissed me," you whispered.
There was a tick of silence before Stiles ended it, "Okay forget Jackson, kill Isaac." You groaned, "Stop, you guys, I'm fine. Just confused is all."
"No, no. He doesn't get to just do that after everything he's done and just expect you to be okay with it. He can't play with your emotions like that," argued Stiles. Scott hadn't said anything yet, just had slid his hand into yours and squeezed for comfort.
"It's okay, we'll deal with that when we don't have a killer lizard and a controlling freak to deal with," you concluded.
You three sat in silence for a little while and then ideas started to flow, "Hey." You and Scott both looked at the boy across from you, "What if it's Matt? I mean this whole thing comes back to the video, right?"
"He is kind of a creep," you agreed.
"Danny said that Matt was the one who found the two hours of footage missing," Scott argued.
"Exactly! He's trying to throw suspicion off himself," Stiles exclaimed still within a whisper.
Scott looked back to Matt before going back to Stiles, "So he makes Jackson kill Isaac's dad, one of Argent's hunters, and the mechanic working on your Jeep?"
"Yes!"
"Why?"
"Because..." Stiles' gaze was on the table, "He's evil." You snorted a soft laugh as Scott argued again, "You just don't like him."
"I don't blame him," you added, "he used to always give me these weird looks when he first joined the team."
"That guy bugs me. I don't know what it is," Stiles leaned back in his chair, still observing the odd boy, "Just look at his face." You three looked back to see Matt offering Jackson chips. To which led to the Omega giving Stiles an unconvinced look, "Any other theories?"
You heard Jackson start to make noises of discomfort, followed by Matt and Mr. Harris asking if the boy was alright. Jackson left claiming to just need water and Harris followed closely behind. "No one leaves their seats."
When the door closed behind them, without a word, you three did just what you were told not to do. You got out of your seats and rushed right back to where Isaac and Erica were sitting. Stiles sitting next to Erica, Scott across from her, and you next to Scott, with Isaac on the end.
"Stiles says you know how Jackson's parents died," Scott concluded.
"Maybe."
"Talk," demanded the boy. She put her pen down, closing her book and starting her story, "It was a car accident. My dad was the insurance investigator and every time he sees Jackson drive by in his Porsche, he makes some comment about the huge settlement he'll be getting when he's eighteen."
Stiles interrupted, "So not only is Jackson rich now, but he's getting even richer at eighteen?"
"Yep."
"There's something so deeply wrong with that," Stiles commented to which you all agreed. "Yeah, try the word morbid, maybe," you added.
"You know what? I could try to find the insurance report in my dad's inbox. He keeps everything."
Scott McCall, please report to the principal's office.
Scott, you and Stiles shared an incredulous look as the boy left for the office, "That cannot be good," you said. Isaac and Erica gave you both odd looks and you raised your hand stopping their questions, "It's a long story."
Erica went back to searching her dad's records, Stiles basically hanging over her shoulder. You turned your attention to the leather jacket wearing boy, who's stare was completely on the table. He directed it to you once you had moved the chair you were using closer to him. At this point you both were inches apart. Isaac leaned his head down slightly so that you were closer to his ear as you talked.
"Why did you follow me," you asked, your finger tracing imaginary circles on the table. His knee nudged yours under the table, clearly trying to get your eyes to look at him, which had worked.
"Because I was worried about you."
You took a sharp breath from shock, your eyes widened slightly. When you gained your composure back you replied, "Isn't that supposed to be my line?"
He breathed of soft chuckle, "I'm serious, sweetheart. You had me worried."
"I told you not to call me that," you said.
"Really, I don't remember that," he had a soft smirk resting on his face.
You scoffed, "Yeah, whatever." His smirk didn't disappear, "You're cute when you're flustered."
You shoved him, "Shut up, you're being dumb. We're in a serious situation, you know?"
"If it's so serious why have you been focusing on me instead of those two over there," he pointed over to the two teenagers who were snooping through emails.
You clasped your fingers together resting your chin on your hands, "Because I'm trying to figure out what your game is."
"My game?"
"Yep, you stopped me in the hallway, you followed me to the locker room which landed you in detention with me, so what's your angle?"
He shrugged leaning back in his chair, arms crossed, "I told you, I was worried. Plus why would I not want to spend time with my favorite girl."
You raised your eyebrows, "Your favorite girl? Didn't realize I meet the qualifications for that title."
"You always did."
Your conversation was cut to a halt when the library door opened with Jackson and Mr. Harris in tow. You looked over to your best friend when you saw an odd look on his face.
"Look at the dates."
You perked up, "Oh, you found it." The responses you got were two nods as Erica began to read the reports, "'Passengers arrived at the hospital DOA. The estimated time of death 9:26 p.m., June 14, 1995.'"
Both yours and Stiles' expressions fell, "Jackson's birthday is June 15th."
A zipping sound was heard as Harris began to close his bag. Everyone around began to follow suit in getting up and grabbing their things when they were interrupted with the man chuckling, "Oh, I'm sorry. Yes, I'm leaving. But none of you are. You may go when you're done with the re-shelving. Enjoy the rest of your evening."
There was a collective groan as the door to the library closed, Mr. Harris on the other side of it. You all sluggishly each grabbed your own stack of books and scattered around. Eventually Scott came back and Stiles, Allison, and you all gathered towards the boy to relay more information to each other.
"It means he was born after his mom died by c-section. They had to pull him out of her dead body," Stiles explained.
"That's gotta take the cake when it comes to childhood trauma," you murmured, sliding a book back onto the shelf.
"So was it an accident or not," asked Allison. Stiles shrugged slightly as he answered, "The word all over the report is 'inconclusive'."
"Then his parents could have been murdered," questioned Scott.
"If they were, then it falls in line with the Kanima myth," Stiles said, "You know? Seeks out of kills murderers."
You had turned back, facing the group as Allison continued to glance at Stiles, "But for Jackson or the person controlling him," she asked softly. Almost out of complete quiet panic Scott said, "We have to talk to him. We have to tell him." Even with the sounds of you three's protests Scott didn't listen as he left the aisle.
Not even a minute later and you could hear crashes, ceiling and electrical falling everywhere. Stiles had grabbed Allison pulling her into him as concrete crashed by. Before you could even register everything, Isaac had come into your aisle wrapping one arm around your waist and the other cradling your head as he did the same thing, pulling you into his chest, away from the falling construction.
Once it was safe to do so Isaac released his grip on you, his hands now cradling your face, "Are you okay," he asked urgently scanning you over to look for any signs of harm. You gave him a shaky nod, your focus and eyesight blurred from the overwhelming situation. Then a crash was heard once more, breaking both of you out of your bubbles.
Scott had been pushed by a half-turned Jackson and back into your aisle. You slowly unraveled yourself from Isaac and crawled over to the trio, in between Stiles and Allison. Now in your line of sight was Jackson at the chalk board. His body was facing away from it, his arm stretched out as he began to scratch at the board. Once his message was complete he jumped out through the window.
STAY OUT OF MY WAY OR I'LL KILL ALL OF YOU
You all slowly walked towards the board in shock. Stiles turned his head and rushed in a different direction. "Hey, hey, hey, hey!" He had Erica in his arms as she grunted and gasped for breath, shaking.
"I think she's having a seizure."
Allison had gone to Matt making sure he was alive, while you three were with Erica. You could see Isaac in the corner of your eye and he was clearly in distress.
"We need to get her to the hospital," you said supporting her body the best you could with Stiles. "Derek," Erica interjected, "Only to Derek."
Scott spoke to Allison and rushed over to the other aisle, "Hey, Scott!" Stiles' attention was back on Erica after his panicked yell. You looked at Scott as he made his way back, picking up Erica.
"I'll stay with her, go." He nodded gratefully before rushing out, Stiles right on his heels.
Isaac made his way towards you and you spoke once more, "You should meet them there, they might need your help." The boy shook his head, "I can't just leave you after everything that just happened."
"I'll be okay, go." He hesitated, before nodding his head and following the same path the boys had just taken.
~
Once you and Allison were sure Matt was gonna be okay, you parted ways. You had once again reached the hide out of the newly formed Hale pack. You could hear voices talking as you reached the bottom of the stairs and walked to the train car.
Inside you saw a exhausted but okay Erica, laying in the arms of Stiles. Isaac and Scott stood to the side while Derek sat nearby the girl as well. "Good, she's alright," you let of a sigh of relief, getting all their attention.
Derek had gotten up leaving the car, Scott following close behind. You couldn't lie, it peaked your interest, so after making one final glance over the blonde girl you left the car as well and reached the duo.
"You know who it is."
"Jackson."
"You just wanted Erica to confirm it, didn't you?"
Derek nodded at the question.
"I'm gonna help you stop him. As part of your pack," Scott stated, giving you a look, you nodded at your best friend in agreement.
"If you want me in, fine. But we'll do it on one condition. We're gonna catch him, not kill him."
"And?"
You made eye contact with the Alpha, "We do it our way."

Thank You, For Being You
Isaac Lahey x Fem!Reader Series
Shape Shifted
Omega Part 1 | Omega Part 2 | Ice Pick | Abomination | Venomous | Frenemy | Restraint | Raving | Party Guessed |
Prompt: Lydia has been found but just when things were starting to look up, of course, new information appears to suggest other wise.
a/n: Hey guys! This is the next chapter and i think i found a name for this series, let me know what you think! Also how do you guys feel about this new chapter set up? If you guys like it, I’ll probably go back to the other two chapters and change it to this as well!
—————————————————————————————
“So wait, what happened?” Scott was trying to explain to you what exactly happened after he ran off to find Lydia the night before. “I’ve already explained to you twice now,” Scott sighed packing his bag for school. You were leaning against his bedroom door, “Yes, I know, I know. I’m just- I’m just trying to process this whole thing.” You two made your way through the hallway, you weren’t concerned about Melissa hearing you two since she was already on her shift for the day.
“Okay, let me get this straight,” You began, “Allison’s grandfather, took a sword and sliced through a lone wolf, an omega, then proceeded to make some speech about killing all werewolves even though they’re supposed to go by a code?”
“Yes.”
“AND THEN to top everything off, Derek was with you?”
Scott sighed once more, “Yeah.” Opening the front door, you stopped on the porch, “What was Derek doing there?” His eyebrows scrunched together and he raised his hands, “How am I supposed to know?”
You rocked your head to the side, “Okay, okay, fair enough. I’m done, I promise I won’t bring it up anymore.” Just as the topic was dropped, Stiles pulled in front of the house. ‘What a weekend we had,’ you thought getting into the back seat. The whole ride consisted of Scott trying to convince Stiles that he would be okay during the full moon. You zoned out for most of the argument, up until you three made it to the boy’s locker room and it was still the current topic.
“Okay, we get it, you think you’ll be able to make it through the full moon. Can we please just drop it?” You grumbled since the whole debate was taking place with you in the middle, literally. “I’m serious,” Scott began which earned a huff from you and shake of Stiles’ head, “It’s not like the last full moon. I don’t feel the same.”
“Oh, does that include the urge to maim and kill people like us,” rebutted Stiles.
“I swear I don’t have the urge to maim and kill you.”
You scoffed, “Oh yeah, that’s super reassuring, thanks buddy.” Stiles pointed to you in agreement, “You know, you say that now but then the full moon goes up and the claws and fangs come out and there’s a lot of howling and screaming and running everywhere, okay?” The anxious boy didn’t even give himself time to take a full breath before his ramble continued, “And it’s very stressful on us and so yes, we’re still locking you up.”
Scott looked at you for support but only got a shrug from you, “Don’t look at me, I’m with him.”
“Okay, fine. But I do think I’m in more control now.” Scott conceited, “Especially since things are good with Allison.”
You and Stiles shared an unimpressed look, “Okay, we’re aware of how good things are with Allison.”
“They’re really good.”
“I- thank you, I know,” Stiles commented
“I mean, like, really good.”
“Alright I get it!” Stiles cut him off, “Please shut the hell up before I have the urge to maim and kill myself.”
“Why did my two best friends have to be boys,” you whined in complaint as Stiles wrapped his arm around you with a small laugh. Scott nudged your side before asking, “All right, did you get something better than handcuffs this time?”
“Yeah, much better,” Stiles took his arm off your shoulder to set his bag down and opened his locker but nothing could have prepared you for what came crashing out. Chains. Chains immediately came slithering out, getting the attention of not only the rest of the team but Coach as well.
“Kinky,” you muttered before Coach reached you. Both boys lightly smacked your shoulder as they stood silently and awkwardly, staring at the chains in panic while getting a judgmental look from Coach. “Part of me wants to ask, the other part says knowing will be more disturbing than anything I could ever imagine, so I’m gonna walk away. Y/N meet me on the field in a few minutes.” You chuckled, “yes sir, I’ll be right there.”
“That’s good. That’s a wise choice, Coach,” called Stiles.
Both boys lent down to start collecting the chains, Stiles pulling you down as well. Not a moment later, Scott’s head raised and his eyes glowed catching your attention. “What- what is it,” you placed your hand on his shoulder, your concern catching the sarcastic boy’s attention as well. Scott didn’t answer you right away, instead his head moved in every direction looking at everyone in the locker room.
“You okay?” questioned Stiles, “Scott.”
His focus was finally broken, “There’s another. In here, right now.” Your eyebrows furrowed, “Another what,” Stiles and you asked. “Another werewolf.” That sure perked your attention, your eyes quickly scanned the room with no success of finding what you were looking for. You reached for your bag and stood up, “We’ll worry about that when we’re on the field, I’ll meet you guys out there.” Both of them nodded and continued to pick up the chains as you made your way outside.
You were discussing line up for the next game with Coach when the team, including Scott and Stiles, came jogging out. “So what if we set Jackson up here for the first half so-.”
“Hey Coach! Scott wants to be in goal today!” Stiles jogged up next to you, you looked at the boy in confusion. Scott hated playing goal, since when would he ever volunteer to be in goal? Coach said nothing but waved it off and nodded his head as he took your clipboard and walked off to review your placement suggestions. You turned to Stiles when you knew Coach was out of hearing range, “What are you two up to?”
“Scott needs to be close to someone to catch their scent, so if he switches with Danny-.”
“It’ll allow him to be one on one.” You nodded and Stiles gave you that goofy proud smile he has. You reached over the bleachers and gave him the goalie gear, “I’ll let Danny know.” Stiles gave you a thumbs up, “Great, awesome, you’re the best,” he gave you a surprise kiss on the cheek before dashing off with the gear. You laughed in disbelief before turning to find Danny in the crowd, instead you ended up making eye contact with the tall boy that never failed to make you smile. Raising your hand up, you gave him a wave and he returned the favor with what looked to be a nervous grin. Before you could question it to yourself, the whistle blew signaling practice was starting.
“Let’s go! Line it up! Faster!”
Everyone took their positions and Coach blew the whistle one more time, throwing the ball in the air. What occurred next, physically hurt you to have to see. Scott sprinted past defense and slammed the runner down. You felt your whole body wince as you watch him visibly sniff the kid before pulling him up. Unsurprisingly, Coach said something about the situation. Of course it did nothing to stop the supernatural boy, he slammed the next kid down, and the next. Each time Coach commented on it, but it never stopped Scott.
Coach grabbed Stiles’ helmet and gestured for you to come over, “Stilinski, Y/N, what the hell is wrong with your friend?”
“He’s failing two classes,” you started.
“He’s a little socially awkward,” Stiles listed, “and if you look close enough-.”
“His jaw line is kind of uneven,” you both finished. Coach glanced at you before pushing the boy away and turning back to the field, “That’s interesting,” he mumbled, walking away. Danny was the next one on the chopping block and you turned your head away because this time around it was just a little too rough for you to bare. Stiles placed his hand on your back to give you some slight comfort, “That’s gonna hurt in the morning.” You nodded in agreement.
“McCall! You come out of that goal one more time and you’ll be doing suicide runs till you die! It’ll be the first ever suicide run that actually ends in a suicide. Got it?”
“Yes, Coach.”
You pinched the bridge of your nose, “This is so embarrassing.” Stiles hummed in agreement.
“Uh, Coach, my shoulders hurting. I’m gonna- I’m gonna sit this one out,” Jackson said making his way to the bench. When he walked away you had finally realized who was in front of you and Stiles. Isaac. He was breathing really hard but not out of exhaustion, it almost sounded animalistic. Stiles tried to see in front of him before looking at you in concern. The whistle blew once more and Isaac began running.
“I don’t like the look of this,” you whispered to Stiles.
“Me neither.”
You couldn’t believe it, Scott dashed once more and when the two collided they both went so far in the air before both landed on their hands and knees. When they landed you felt like something in you was different, you realized your were correct when Stiles broke you out of your trance. “Hey, look down hurry,” he pushed your head down before you could even respond.
“What the hell, Stiles!”
“Y/N, stop. Your eyes.”
“My eyes? What about my eyes?”
“Y/N. Your eyes are glowing purple.”
~
“His father’s dead.”
The three of you stood watching Stiles’ dad, two other policemen, Coach and Isaac talk as Scott listened in, “They think he was murdered.” You had barely come to terms that Isaac was a werewolf and now you have to process the fact that his dad was murdered? You guys can seriously never catch a break.
Stiles leaned in closer to you two, “Are they saying he’s a suspect?”
“I’m not sure, why?”
“Because they can lock him in a holding cell for 24 hours,” you answered.
“Like, over night?” Stiles nodded, “During the full moon.” Scott looked at you two, “How good are these holding cells at holding people?” You sighed and closed your eyes, you couldn’t bare the stress anymore.
“People, good. Werewolves, probably not that good.” Stiles concluded while looking at you, his hand was back to its position on your back but this time it was to get your attention. You glanced up to meet his eyes and you saw exactly what he was thinking, what he was asking. ‘Are you gonna tell Scott about what happened?’ You shook your head lightly and gripped his arm, slightly squeezing so he would understand to let it go. He sighed before looking back at Scott.
“Guys, remember when I said I don’t have the urge to maim and kill?”
“Yeah,” you both replied.
“He does.”
The group of policemen, Sheriff and Isaac began to walk away, but not without Isaac turning his head back to look at you three. While you know he was just looking at you guys in general, you couldn’t help but feel like his gaze was for you. Rubbing your hand down your face, you gave Isaac one last look before grabbing Scott and Stiles’ hands, “Come on, we better go if we want to make it to Harris' in time. You guys can’t afford to be late, he hates your guts.” They both nodded before letting you lead them back towards to school. For the first time since maybe you three were born, you guys walked together to class silent. There’s was not a sound created between you three until you made it to chemistry, the only class where you sat in front of them rather than between them or next to at least one of them.
“Why would Derek choose Isaac?” You heard Scott ask.
“Peter told me that if the bite doesn’t turn you it could kill you.” You were grateful that your desk partner was Isaac right now, because if it wasn’t, you were positive who ever would’ve been placed next to you would hear everything, instead the seat is currently empty. “And maybe teenagers have a better chance of surviving.”
“Does being a teenager mean your dad can’t hold him?”
“Well, not unless they have solid evidence or a witness. Wait.” You could hear Stiles turn in his chair, “Danny, where’s Jackson?”
“Principal’s office, talking to your dad.”
“What? Why?”
“Maybe because he lives across the street from Isaac.” You felt yourself freeze. God damn it. Jackson is the last person you would want to be talking to Sheriff right now. You quickly put your pencil down and raised your hand, “Um, Mr. Harris, do you mind if I run to my locker quickly? I forgot my notes in there after practice.”
“Hurry.”
You heard the chairs of your best friends squeak as they turned towards you quickly, “Y/N what are you doing?” Scott whisper yelled but you ignored them, you had to get to the office, you couldn’t let that weasel make it seem like Isaac could have done this, especially when there’s the issue of the full moon tonight as well.
“Thank you, sir, sorry about that,” you said rushing out the door quickly and making your way to the office as fast as possible. Just before you made it too far you heard Mr. Harris, “Who in the hell did that?” You laughed and shook your head, you could always count on those bone heads to never let you do anything alone. You made it to the office and could see Jackson already talking to Stiles’ dad, you huffed and sat down in the chair outside, your leg bouncing as soon as you hit the cushion of the chair. Not even a minute later, the boys joined you, sitting on either side of you like usual.
“You guys are such dumbasses, you know that? I could’ve handled this.”
“Absolutely not,” they synced.
You kept quiet deciding it was better to just listen to the conversation going on inside the room rather than argue. “Wait, so are you telling me that you knew Isaac’s father was hitting him?”
“Hitting him? He was kicking the crap out of him.”
“Did you ever say anything to anyone? A teacher, parents, anyone?”
“Nope, it’s not my problem.”
You felt every ounce of rage boil up inside you. Jackson knew? Jackson fucking knew everything and never told ANYONE. You closed your eyes and clenched your fists so hard you swear you could draw blood at any moment.
“Y/N? Hey Y/N, calm down. Scott.” You felt what you assumed to be Stiles’ hands then felt another pair, which had to be Scott’s on your shoulders.
“Hey, I know you’re angry but you have to find a way to calm down, you’re making the papers on the board almost fly off,” Scott tried to rationalize. You tried to take deep breaths but nothing was working, you finally felt your hands being grabbed and intertwined with theirs. You took a moment to focus on them and it started to work, squeezing their hands you dropped your head, a few silent tears escaping your closed eyes.
“I’m sorry,” you whispered.
“You don’t have to be sorry,” Scott reassured.
The office door opened, and you three parted, you took the opportunity to wipe your tears away as fast as you could. Scott looked in another direction and Stiles grabbed a magazine to try (and unsuccessfully) hide from his dad. When you were sure that all moisture was wiped away you met Sheriff’s eyes.
“Hi, Scott, Y/N.” You both waved before he cocked an eyebrow at his son and started to walk away. You touched both of their shoulders, “I’ll meet you guys later.”
They both looked at you, “What are you gonna do?”
“What I probably should’ve done a while ago,” you sighed earning you confused nods before you walked away.
“Sheriff.”
He turned around surprised to see you walking towards him, he waved to his deputy to let him know to keep walking before he gave you his full attention. “I need to talk to you.”
“I’m sorry kiddo but it might have to wait.”
“It’s about Isaac.” That got his attention, he kept your gaze for a moment before directing you to the side, “Okay what’s going on?” You opened your mouth to say something but no sound came out, you couldn’t bring yourself to say it. You took a deep breath before speaking once more.
“I knew.”
He didn’t say anything, almost as if he couldn’t believe what he just heard. “Well, to be more accurate, I was pretty sure. Pretty sure that Isaac’s dad was hurting him.”
“Well, that’s a lot to process. Did you ever say something, why didn’t you tell me?”
“I didn’t, Isaac wouldn’t let me. He kept denying it, saying ‘it was an accident’ or ‘I fell off my bike’ stuff like that. And I never had any solid proof so I didn’t say anything because if I couldn’t prove anything I would be saying, I didn’t want to chance Isaac getting seriously injured.”
You finally let yourself meet his eyes when you finished talking, he took a breath before nodded and placing a hand on your upper arm, “I understand but why are you telling me this now?”
“Because I may not know him like I do Scott and Stiles but I know he wouldn’t do something like this. I know you have to follow the path you're given but you have to look at other options, please, Sheriff. He would never do this.”
Sheriff gave you a slight smile, “Okay kiddo, I believe you, I still have to do my job but just know I believe you.” You let out a breath you didn’t realize you were holding, “Thank you, I’ve gotta get back to class.”
“Okay I’ll see you later.”
“Yeah, bye.”
You parted ways, making your way back to the office, to see the boys come out. Scott grabbed your arm and began rushing you towards the doors, “Come on.” You try to look back at Stiles to question what was going on but Scott had pulled you down the stairs and around the corner before you even had the chance.
“What the hell is going on?”
“I’ll tell you later but for right now just forget about it and come on!”
You matched his pace as best as you could, reaching the heavy blue doors and when you pushed them open you saw a cop car. Inside was Isaac, you guys must have caught his attention because he turned back when you had slammed the doors open. Scott went forward more while you just stood and looked at Isaac, you didn’t know what to do. You couldn’t help him from here anyways since the car had already taken off and left the parking lot. You grunted out of frustration, “Great, what are we gonna do now?”
Scott never gave you an answer because Derek pulled up to the curb, “Get in.”
You scoffed, “Are you serious?”
“You did that, that’s your fault,” Scott finished for you.
“I know that. Now get in the car and help me.”
“Why should we,” you challenged, “You know, I’m starting to get real sick and tired of your demanding ass tone.”
Scott put his arm in front of you, stopping your advancing figure before you could make it to the car. “I’ve got a better idea. I’m gonna call a lawyer because a lawyer might actually have a chance at getting him out before the moon goes up.”
“Not when they do a real search of the house.”
“What do you mean?” Scott had now made it to the window of the car. “Whatever Jackson said to the cops, what’s in the house is worse. A lot worse,” Derek popped his passenger door open, Scott looked at you and you huffed gesturing towards the door, you got in.
~
“If Isaac didn’t kill his father, then who did?”
“I don’t know yet,” Derek replied.
“Then how do you know he’s telling the truth?”
“Because I trust my senses. And it’s a combination of them, not just your sense of smell.” You smiled ever so slightly at the sentence.
“You saw the lacrosse thing today,” Scott stated embarrassed.
“Yeah.”
“Did it look that bad?”
“Yeah,” you spoke up, catching their attention.
You continued your way through the house, until Derek had directed you two to the basement, “You wanna learn,” he pointed down the stairs, “then start now.”
Scott made his way down the stairs and you just stared, you were scared if you were being honest. Scared to find something that would tell you that Isaac really did kill his father. Because if that was true, there wasn’t anyway you could help him even with the pleading you had done to Sheriff. Derek gave you a pointed look, “You need to come down here as well,” you raised your eyebrows, “Why?” you questioned him.
“He wouldn’t want you to see what’s down here but I think it’s important that you do.”
You nodded slightly at his statement, if Derek thought that then it had to be a big deal, the only person he really trusted was Scott and now probably Isaac. It only took you a moment to decide as you started your way down the stairs as well with even more caution than Scott had possessed. “What am I looking for?” Scott had interrupted your train of thought, “Follow your senses,” answered Derek. You guys made it down the stairs, you looked around until you came face to face with a mirror propped up on the ground. You couldn’t stop staring at your eyes, you knew you needed to tell Scott as soon as possible but it had to wait. Until Isaac was safe, until you could provide some answers to keep Scott from worrying about you. Derek had just finished talking to Scott, when he had stayed behind and just in front of you.
“Derek.”
He turned, giving you the go ahead to talk. You made sure that Scott was occupied with looking around before going on, “I know trust between us is below zero but can I ask you something?” The dark haired man hesitated before nodding slightly, “On the field today, when Scott was, well you know...my eyes.. Stiles said they glowed purple.” The man gave you a confused look before his eyes relaxed slightly, “Are you asking if I know what you are?” You shrugged, “I guess, I don’t know, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean that, I’ve made my locker slam shut on its own and almost made papers go flying across the room.”
He thought for a moment, looking at you up and down almost as if he was doing some kind of analysis of you in his brain, “I’m sorry but I don’t know what you are.” You sighed and shrugged once more, “It was a long shot I guess.” Derek took another moment to pondered and turned his head to you once more, “Did those things happen when your emotions were at a peak?” You slowly nodded, a little bit embarrassed to admit that the things occurring were due to you not keeping your emotions in check.
“Well while I can’t tell you what you are, it sounds like whatever you possess is carried out mostly by emotions so using them to your advantage is going to be what helps you keep it under control.”
You took some time to process what he said, it seemed so simple and yet you had a feeling that it was gonna be far from that. Instead of pushing your luck you just nodded along to show that you understood, “Thanks.”
“One more thing, Derek.”
“What is it?”
“Is Isaac gonna be okay?”
“I’m going to get him out of there, however, even if he gets out of this situation, he’s gonna forever have to deal with what he went through in this room,” Derek pointed to across the room. You turned to see an ice box with chains next to it, you looked back at Derek and he nodded for you to go over to it. You met Scott over there, both of you grazing your hands over it, a light flashed in your eyes.
“Open it.”
Scott and you turned to each other, nodding you both grabbed the lid and opened it. You gasped when you saw it, scratches, scratches all through out the sides of the freezer. “He was locked in here,” you said, your hand covering your mouth. You backed away from the box shaking your head, “I need some fresh air.” Scott didn’t get a chance to say anything as you sprinted up the stairs, placing your back against the wall you heaved to catch your breath. Tears slipped down your face, you couldn’t believe the sweet boy you knew was going through something so horrific. You had to get him out of there. You took your phone out of your pocket and made your way to your contacts, it was pointless though because the person you were planning to call had beaten you to it.
“Hey, I was just about to call you.”
“Yeah, I’m gonna need your help, Allison said that- hey are you okay, have you been crying?”
You sniffled slightly before clearing your throat, “It’s fine, doesn’t matter, what about Allison?”
“She said that one of her dad’s guys went out, Y/N, he had wolfsbane with him.”
“They’re gonna kill him.”
“Yeah, I’m on my way to come pick you up, just hang tight.” You nodded even though you knew he couldn’t see it, “Yeah, okay, see you soon,” with that he hung up. After you had told Scott and Derek what was going on, Stiles had arrived to pick you up. Scott decided to stay since it wouldn’t be safe with the full moon out tonight. Stiles phone rang while he was speeding down the road as fast as he could, you took it from his cup holder and answered it, putting it on speaker, “Hey, did you slow him down?”
“You could say that.”
“Alright well, we’re heading to the station right now.”
“Where’s Scott?”
“Isaac’s,” you answered, “you should probably get over there as well.”
“Does he have a plan?”
Stiles side glanced you, “Yeah, but not a very good one. And unfortunately we don’t have time to come up with anything better.”
“Hence the ‘you should get over there too’,” you tried to joke. You ended the call as both of you looked through his dash board window at the moon. You were running out of time. “He’s gonna be okay,” Stiles tried to convince you.
“I really hope so.”
You finally made it to the station, when you felt the nerves getting to you, “Hey.” You looked at Stiles, he placed his hand on your head, “We’re gonna save him.”
“Let’s just go before I have a panic attack,” your attempt to be funny was interrupted by Derek showing up at the window. Stiles rolled down the window to explain the plan, “Okay, now the keys to every cell are in a password protected lockbox in my father’s office.”
“The problem is getting past the front desk,” you continued.
“I’ll distract her,” Derek concluded
You raised your eyebrows in disbelief as Stiles kept him from walking away, “Woah, woah, woah, you- you’re not going in there.” Derek said nothing but glanced at the hand currently on his shoulder, “I’m taking my hand off,” Stiles released his grip.
“I was exonerated.”
You scoffed, “I was exonerated,” you mocked the werewolf, “Like that matters at all you dumbass.”
“You’re still a person of interest,” the boy next to you explained.
“An innocent person.”
You both let out a sarcastic laugh, “You?” You synced, “Yeah, right!” He continued to stare at you both before Stiles sighed, “Okay, fine. What’s your plan?”
“To distract her,” Derek dragged.
“Uh-huh,” you mocked once more.
“How,” Stiles expressed, “by punching her in the face?”
“By talking to her.”
“Okay, alright, give me a sample. What are you gonna open with?”
Silence.
“Dead silence,” the boy concluded, “that should work beautifully, got any other ideas?”
“I’m thinking about punching you in the face.”
You groaned, “Oh my god, can we just go, please,” the attention was now on you, “You both can argue later.”
There was a silent agreement before Derek made his way inside, allowing you and Stiles to both slip past the lady and into the Sheriff’s office. While you acted as look out, he punched in the code to get the key, “It’s gone.” Your head snapped towards him, “It’s gone? What do you mean it’s gone,” his hands slapped to his side, “I mean the key is not in the box, the guy must have beaten us to it.”
“Well, then let’s go, there may still be time.” Both of you rushed down the hallway, bumping into what appeared to be an officer, only for you to both realize there was blood. “Ah, sh-,” the man grabbed Stiles before you both could get away, “Hey! Let him go, you bastard!” You tried to pry the guy’s hand that was holding the syringe away from Stiles’ neck but it was no use you didn’t have the strength to overpower him. You could at least keep him from getting any closer though. Stiles had pulled the fire alarm and you made it to the holding cells, still struggling against the man when you all realized that one of the doors had been ripped off, Isaac’s door.
The guy had been pried off of you two as you both dropped to the floor. It was Isaac, fully transformed, you both scrambled behind the desk as he fought off the man. He left him unconscious and his attention was now on you, he began his advance but was very quickly interrupted by Derek’s roar. You shook off the shock, got back on your feet and rushed over to the now cowering Isaac.
“Hey, hey, it’s okay you’re safe.” He glanced at you, “You came,” you nodded with a soft smile, “Yeah, yeah I did.” His head landed on your shoulder lightly, clearly exhausted you let him be, raking your hand through his hair lightly.
“How did you do that,” questioned Stiles.
“I’m the alpha.”

Thank You, For Being You
Isaac Lahey x Fem!Reader Series
Frenemy
Omega Part 1 | Omega Part 2 | Shape Shifted | Ice Pick | Abomination | Venomous | Restraint | Raving | Party Guessed |
Prompt: With the group knowledge that the Kanima is in fact Jackson, it's time to try to take some real action.
__________________________________________________________
After what you had witnessed Allison had taken Lydia home while you and the boys got into Roscoe and took off after Jackson.
"And we're sure they don't know it's Jackson," you repeated for what might have been the hundredth time. You had no seatbelt on while sitting in your usual spot in the back middle. "Pretty sure, they were a little preoccupied," Stiles shot back trying to focus on the road as he swerved under a bridge almost coming into contact with a fence.
"Okay, what do we do now?" Stiles had looked at the passenger seat along with you only to find it vacant and the door wide open. Your heads turned back to the windshield watching as Scott's form landed on the other side of the fence, taking off. Stiles sighed shaking his head, looking at you.
"Why does he always do that?" you questioned.
~
You and Stiles had followed Scott until he stopped at a bar, once Stiles had parked you both had scrambled out the car and towards the werewolf. You ended up startling the boy when you almost crashed into him.
"Sorry!"
"Sorry, I'm sorry!" You both apologized Stiles holding you to keep you balanced. "Did you see where he went," Scott groaned at the boy's question, "I lost him."
"You lost him!" your scream was covered by Stiles' hand as he spoke, "What? you couldn't catch his scent?"
"I don't think he has one."
"Alright, any clue where he's going?" Stiles continued with his onslaught of questions. "To kill someone," Scott said as if it wasn't the most obvious answer.
You took the hand resting on your mouth off, "I would've never guessed." Stiles pointed at you in mockery, "Ah! That explains the claws and the fangs and all that. Good, makes perfect sense now!" You played along with his statement, pointing back at the sarcastic boy.
Scott gave you both unimpressed looks, "What, Scott come on, I'm 147 pounds of pale skin and fragile bones, okay? Sarcasm is my only defense." The werewolf's eyes flickered to you, raising your hands you answered, "I'm basically in the same boat."
"Just help me find it."
"Not 'it', Jackson," Stiles corrected.
"Yeah, I know. I know."
"Alright, but does he know that?"
You gritted your teeth, "He better not know because if he lied straight to our faces, I'm gonna kick his teeth in."
"Did anybody else see him back at your house," Scott shook his head gazing at you, "I mean, I don't think so." You gave a similar answer, "He was already upstairs with Lydia when I got there." Another sigh was heard from the omega, "But he already passed Derek's test anyway."
"Yeah, but that's just the thing. How did he pass the test?"
"I don't know," stressed Scott to Stiles.
You rocked your head to side, "If we assume that he wasn't lying to us and maybe he doesn't remember, that would be significantly different from a werewolf." Your best friends' heads both turned to you in confusion. "Well as a werewolf you remember when you transform. If Jackson doesn't, it could mean the Kanima is technically a different entity."
"When's the Kanima, not the Kanima?" Stiles asked.
Scott answered, "When it's Jackson."
Stiles took a few steps, "Uh, dude." Scott and you both looked at him as he pointed up. Just barely you could see Jackson's tail slither into the building from the window at the top.
"Okay but why is he going in there?" you gestured to the building. Scott's head tilted back to the front door and you saw him perk up, "I know who he's after." You moved your head to look where Scott was staring. It was Danny.
"What how? Did you smell something?"
Scott nodded, "Armani."
You guys made your way to the back where Scott had ripped the back lock off and you guys went in. Even though it was a gay bar you saw a couple of girls scattered about, which made you breathe out of relief, at least you wouldn't stick out too much. You kept low, staying behind the boys while they tried to order beer. You eyes rolled, even in the face of danger they acted ridiculous. You yelled over the loud sound of music, "Hey, I found Danny," pointing in the direction of the dancing hockey player.
"I found Jackson."
You grouped a little closer as you guys started plotting, "Get to Danny," Scott ordered.
"What are you gonna do," Stiles asked.
Scott's claws whipped out, "Works for me," you shrugged grabbing Stiles and you tried to make your way through the crowd.
"Hey! Danny!" The two of you took turns calling for him but it didn't matter, he couldn't hear you over the raving music. It ended up being too late, even with Derek showing up, Jackson was able to paralyze Danny and a few others.
Scott followed the blood trail, you and Stiles trailing behind, that Jackson had left behind from when Derek slashed him. Scott was crouched next to the unconscious Jackson, "What do we do with him now?"
~
You guys had squished Jackson on the floor of the backseat of Stiles' Jeep. Inconvenient for you since your spot was in the backseat, you used your feet to push Jackson further forward so you had more space for your legs.
Scott had gotten in the passenger side, finished talking to Danny, "Couldn't get anything out of Danny."
"Okay, can we just get the hell out of here now before one of my dad's deputies sees me?" Stiles panicked turning to the wheel to start the Jeep. "No, seriously, I really don't like being back here with the lizard man." Before Stiles could even turn the key, Sheriff came rolling in sirens and lights on.
"Oh, my god. Oh, my god. Could this get any worse?" Like out of a sitcom Jackson made a sound similar to a hum. "That was rhetorical," Stiles turned yelling as if it could've been heard by the passed out boy.
Scott pointed to the lights, "Get rid of him." Stiles did a double take before whispering like his dad could hear him even from so far away, "Get rid of him? We're at a crime scene and he's the sheriff."
You shot forward and screeched, "Do something!" Both boys jumped at your tone, Stiles flailed his arms in frustration and then left to go fix the situation. Jackson began to wake up and Scott as well as you started to panic, shushing him to be quiet. Enough became enough and Scott finally punched Jackson across the jaw causing Jackson to go unconscious once more. You two made eye contact with Sheriff waving trying to make everything seem normal.
You saw him nod his head at your best friend before the boy tapped the side of his dad's shoulder and then jogged back to the Jeep. You guys drove away as soon as Stiles started Roscoe, driving into the night.
"Uh, what about your house?"
"Not with my mom there?"
Your head lifted from its tired state, "What about our house?" Scott motioned to Jackson, "We need to take him somewhere, where we can hold him long enough to figure out what to do with him. Or long enough to convince him he's dangerous."
"I still say we just kill him," Stiles stated which earned an hum of agreement from you, "I personally think Stiles is on to something."
"We're not killing him!"
"Jeez, okay," you mumbled.
Stiles groaned, "God! F- okay, okay."
There was a few moments of silence when Stiles began to speak again, "I've got an idea." You scoffed, "Oh, no. That's never good."
"Does it involve breaking the law?"
"By now, don't you think that's a given?"
You snorted at their interaction, "Seriously, at this point we might just land ourselves on Beacon Hill's most wanted."
"I was just trying to be optimistic," reasoned Scott.
Stiles rebutted without hesitation, "Don't bother."

Apparently Stiles' great plan was to steal a Beacon Hills police transport vehicle and lock Jackson inside. Definitely not his most foolproof plan, that's for sure. Luckily for you, they sent you away as to not get you caught up in the mess. Which led you back to school where you were basically forced to do two things, hang out with Allison plus Lydia and the other being to avoid Isaac as much as possible.
You saw Allison walking through the empty hall, she was watching as some technicians installed cameras. "They're to keep tabs on all the creepy crawlies, aka us," you joked as you finally caught up with her. "By the way, don't worry Scott said that he would be back for class, so you should probably get going now if you want to have a chance to talk to him." She nodded gratefully, resting her hand on your shoulder for a second, she took off in the direction of her class.
Classes had gone by agonizingly slow, probably because you didn't have the two people you always had with you. Out of everything though, the hardest thing has been avoiding the blue-eyed werewolf. Hallways were pretty easy but during classes were especially hard, guess that's your own fault for choosing spots as close as you could to him at the beginning of the year.
The last class had ended and you were collecting your things from your locker. You had planned on going back to the spot Stiles had chosen to keep the vehicle, however that was probably gonna have to wait.
"(Y/N)!"
You could feel your blood run cold as your body froze in its spot. You slightly glanced over your shoulder to see it was indeed the same boy you had been avoiding, well trying to that is. You tried to rush off down the hall but he was too fast for you, his hand grasped your wrist spinning you around to face him.
"(Y/N), please," he spoke softly as you continued to try and tug yourself free. "Just wait."
The softness of his voice had stopped you, you couldn't help yourself it was like it triggered something inside of you. Even with all the knowledge you had, any hint of the old Isaac sucked you back in without a thought.
You finally stopped pulling, letting the weight of your body drop and you kept your attention on the floor, "You tried to kill her, you hurt my friends. How could you?" You sounded so shattered, it made Isaac's whole body tremble. "I know, I know but Derek-." Your head shot up, "But Derek nothing! You had a choice and you chose wrong! I just, ugh," your hands reached at the roots of your hair by your temples, pulling out of stress, your rambling had continued. You didn't even care anymore the hallway had already cleared from everyone going home so nothing was stopping your outburst. Nothing except the feeling of soft lips on yours.
You felt shock run its way through your body like volts of electricity. His lips were on yours. He was kissing you. You couldn't stop yourself from easing yourself into him, finally returning the action, your arms wrapping themselves around his neck and eyes fluttering closed. When he felt you reciprocate his hands moved from your wrists, one placing itself around your waist tugging you closer while he laid the other on your hip.
Eventually you two pulled away from each other, small gasps of breath releasing from both of you. Almost like you had broken out of a trance you put your hand on his chest pushing him away. "You can't just do that after everything you've done and expect it to be all okay."
He nodded, "I know, I'm sorry. I don't know what just came over me, I couldn't help myself. I didn't come to mess with you okay, I just needed to see you." He paused looking at you, he was looking for something, anything to indicate that you believed him.
"Did you lie to me?"
Your question caused the boy's eyebrows to furrow as he shook his head, "What?"
Your foot stomped out of frustration, "At the school, the night of the game, did you lie to me Isaac Lahey? Was it some kind of sick plan Derek put you up to?" His mouth stood gaped, he shook his head rapidly, "No, no, I never lied to you about any of that. (Y/N), I really, really like you, okay? I always have."
"Then why did you do it, following Derek's orders meant hurting me so if you felt anything for me why would you listen to him." He went silent, he didn't have an answer. He wanted you by his side but he didn't want to be an omega. He had to choose though because he couldn't have it both ways.
You felt your phone buzz, taking it out of your pocket you saw a message from Allison.
__
They know about the thing.
__
Alright omw.
__
Even with her keeping the text short because of her parents, you knew exactly what she was talking about. Jackson, someone knew about what the boys did to Jackson; his parents, Allison's, or the cops, you weren't sure but that didn't matter.
Trying to keep a straight face you looked back at the werewolf standing in front of you. You were pretty sure they still didn't know about Jackson so you had to be careful. "I have to go." You quickly turned, adjusting your bag back on your shoulder.
"Wait-."
"You can't keep trying to play both sides Isaac."
~
You had found Allison in the school and you both went to meet Stiles in the woods. You've never seen the girl drive so fast before if you were being honest. Once you had made it, you guys made a dash for the vehicle where Stiles faced away from you.
You startled the boy who let out a scream of, "Oh, my God," while you started talking, "They know."
"What?"
"They know Jackson's missing!" Allison exclaimed a look of panic still on her face.
Stiles raised the phone in his hand, "No, they can't. I've been texting his parents since last night. They don't have a clue." The girl gave a rapid shake of her head, "My grandfather told me his parents went to the police. They know."
Stiles turned to you for confirmation and when you gave him just that he let the phone dangle in between two of his fingers as if it had suddenly gotten a disease. He let out noises of panic as he raised it to you, "Chuck that." He dashed into the van, grabbing the radio where the dispatcher could be heard.
All available units proceed to Beacon Hills Preserve as instructed. Proceed with caution until Sheriff Stilinski's arrival. Repeat, proceed with caution.
You three jumped into the van, Allison turned to Stiles, "Where are we going?" He typed on Jackson's phone, "Somewhere very far from this," he tossed it out the window before speeding away.
Stiles had given you his phone to call for Scott, he said it was so they couldn't connect you to anything if something happened. Scott had answered and assured you three he would meet you guys there as soon as he could.
When Stiles had found a better place to park, you three waited for Scott which ended up not being that long in the end. The four of you stood close to the edge discussing what to do with Jackson.
"If Jackson doesn't remember being the Kanima, then he's definitely not gonna remember stealing Danny's tablet," the werewolf sighed.
Stiles replied with such urgency it almost scared you, "Why would he steal the thing if he doesn't even know what's on it?" You shrugged, "Maybe it wasn't his idea, what if someone else took it?"
"Then somebody else knows what he is," Stiles pointed out. Scott looked at Stiles in realization, "Which means that someone's protecting him."
Allison nodded along, "Like the bestiary says, 'The Kanima seeks a friend,' right?"
Stiles stopped the conversation, "Okay, hold on. So somebody watches Jackson make a video of himself turning into the Kanima and then just erases part if it so he wouldn't know? I mean, who would do that?"
"Somebody who wanted to protect him," Allison offered. "There's something else," Scott started, "You said the only thing you found online about the Kanima is that it goes after murderers. What if that's actually true?"
"So what, all the people killed so far have been murderers? Seems absurd doesn't," you questioned.
"Well, no, it can't be. It tried to kill all of us, remember? I don't know about you three but I haven't murdered anybody lately," Stiles said.
"But I don't think that it was actually trying to kill us," Scott turned to Allison, "Remember when we were at Isaac's the first time, it just went right by us, didn't it?"
"You're right, it just ran off," she confirmed. Scott had turned back to Stiles, "And it didn't kill you in the mechanic's garage."
"It hasn't tried to kill me, yet," you added.
"Well, yeah, but it tried to kill me and Derek in the pool."
"Did it," Scott asked.
"It would've. It was waiting for us to come out."
"What if it was trying to keep you in?"
Stiles rolled his shoulders back and bounced on his feet, "Why do I feel so violated all of a sudden?" You patted his shoulder slightly and continued the conversation, "Okay, but why would it go through all that trouble?"
"Because there's something else going on. We don't know what it is. We don't know anything about what's going on with Jackson or why someone's protecting him."
You saw Allison face scrunch up lightly, "Know thy enemy." You three turned your attention towards her, "Just something my grandfather said."
"Alright, I got it," Stiles stated, "Kill Jackson. Problem solved." You pointed to the boy, "Honestly, the more I hear that suggestion, the more I'm starting to consider it. I was against Derek killing Lydia but when it comes to Jackson that philosophy it starting to go out the window."
The couple looked at you two, unamused by your banter. "He risked his life for us. Against Peter, you remember that?" He tried to reason with you two but you guys weren't having it.
"Yes, but what did we just find out," you scoffed.
"He got the bite from Derek. It's funny how he just got exactly what he wanted but supposedly risking his life for us, it's funny," Stiles waved his hands around sarcastically.
"Yeah, it doesn't mean he's not still worth saving." Stiles sighed at Scott, "It's always something with him, though."
"Stiles is right, even before all this," you agreed.
"He doesn't know what he's doing." You raised your hands out, "So what?"
"So, I didn't either. And neither did you," Scott pointed out. He turned to the dark haired girl once more, "You remember when I almost killed you and Jackson?" She acknowledged him slightly before he continued, "I had someone to stop me. He has nobody."
"How is that our problem," you asked. Stiles agreed, "That's his own fault."
"Doesn't matter. If we can save him, we should try."
~
Later that night, you and Stiles came back to the preserve to check up on the couple and what you saw was worrying to say the least. Stiles pounded on the car window, "You guys might wanna come take a look at this."
The two of you jogged the couple over to the van where you could see the back doors pried open and no Jackson in sight.
"I have to tell my father." Scott was in a daze as he started to walk away. "Scott. He's going to kill someone."
"Okay, tell him. Tell him everything," the boy relented.
"Scott, I gotta tell mine, too."
"This is all my fault."
Allison tried to reason with him, "It's not. But we have to tell them. We're just a bunch of teenagers. We can't handle this."
"Not to mention, this and everything with Derek as well," you mentioned.
Scott was still in his fatigued state, "You're right." Allison finally directed her attention to Stiles, "How you gonna make your dad believe all this?"
"I don't know."
Scott finally broke out of his trance turning, his eyes glowing, "He'll believe me."

Thank You, For Being You
Isaac Lahey x Fem!Reader Series
Abomination
Omega Part 1 | Omega Part 2 | Shape Shifted | Ice Pick | Venomous | Frenemy | Restraint | Raving | Party Guessed |
Prompt: Derek has gotten his pack together meaning, talking to Isaac has officially become impossible. However, that doesn’t mean you’re gonna stop trying. Your powers have stirred up again and it’s time you got answers. Luckily, Deaton seems to have some.
a/n: guys writing this has genuinely been so fun, thank you to those who continue to support this story! This is my first official work on tumblr so I’m happy to see that it’s doing pretty well! Anyways, buckle up, make a snack it's a long chapter! love you guys and hope you enjoy this next chapter!
—————————————————————————————
“They’re coming back, so we don’t have much time to talk.” Deaton expressed, trying to hurriedly clean Scott’s wound. “What is that,” Scott asked. “Rubbing alcohol. You don’t want it to get infected, do you?” Scott rapidly shook his head before Deaton continued on explaining, “You’ll heal the same. Just not as quickly, because of Derek.”
“Okay, how do you know all this,” you butted in, trying to comprehend the current situation. “Actually, how do you know anything,” you clarified.
“It’s a long story. What I can tell you is that I know about his kind and even a little bit of yours,” you blinked in shock, “his kind, I can help.” He finished off what he was doing, turning to the dead man on the table, “This… this is something different.”
“Do you know what did it?”
“No, but the Argents will and this is the crucial part. They’ll have some kind of record or book. It’ll have descriptions, histories, notations of all the things they’ve discovered.”
“All-,” you stuttered, “The things,” your best friend had finished for you, “How many different things are there?”
You heard a car approaching and panicked, Deaton rushed you off to hide but not before mentioning to you that he would explain more later. Scott and you hid in the supply closet but considering your lack of supernatural hearing, you could only get bits and pieces.
A paralytic toxic, sliced through bone, no idea of the creature responsible, but killing may be it’s only purpose. All terrifying notes that you really didn’t want to think about. Soon enough the Argents left with their hurt egos in tow and you came out of hiding. Only for you to get a call from Stiles, someone had been murdered at the auto shop. Scott had urged Deaton that all information could wait before leading you both out so he could get to his meeting and you could get to Stiles.
~
“Stiles!”
You had caught the attention of both the Sheriff and your best friend. You sprinted, tackling the boy, wrapping your arms around him as fast as you could. He gasped in shock before securing his arms around your waist in return.
“Are you okay? What happened? Why were you here so late anyways?” You had sent a rapid fire of questions towards him before he could even process your presence.
“Y/N, Y/N, I’m fine, just trying to comprehend the whole thing,” you nodded sitting next to him on the edge of the ambulance. Sheriff patted his son’s shoulder, “I’ll give you two a moment.” He walked over to his group of deputies, clearly in destress about his son. You two were now surrounded by silence, you had no idea what to say. Scott had told you that he mentioned everything you were worried about to Stiles but since Derek and 'The Clash of the Werewolves' had happened later that afternoon, you two never actually got to talk about it.
“I’m sorry,” you both turned to each other apologizing simultaneously, you chuckled at your inability to have decent timing.
“You first,” you offered which he took, “I’m sorry, about everything, how I made you feel, ignoring you, everything. It wasn’t fair to you.” He had grabbed your hand, squeezing it in anticipation. You nodded, “It’s okay, I’m sorry for how I acted, I shouldn’t be upset at the fact that you care for someone other than me and Scott.”
“It’s okay.” You both smiled at each other, it was nice to be back to normal, even if it was only for a split second.
“Scott told me, you know.”
Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion, “About what?”
“About your crushy wushy on Isaac,” Stiles smirked keeping his eyes forward.
“Shut up! I do not have a crush on Isaac!”
Stiles chuckled, “Fine, fine.” He took a small beat before continuing, “But you do have a crushy wushy on him.”
You punched him in the shoulder and when you got a groan of dissatisfaction you smiled, “Okay you got me there.”
He looked at you and you both took a moment to just laugh at yourselves. You were still able to joke around at a time like this, at least that meant you guys still had some trace of the plain ole teenagers you used to be. You tapped his shoulder, catching his attention, you pointed to Roscoe, “Do you want to get out of here now?”
He gave you a disappointed shake of his head, “Can’t, Dad said they have to keep it for evidence.”
“Damn, guess we better call Scott or we’ll be stuck here, huh?”
You called Scott and apparently it wasn’t his night either, Allison hadn’t been able to show up, but he had assure you that he would be there as soon as he could. “Scott’s coming, Allison didn’t show for their meet up. Why does it feel like everything is falling apart?”
“Because it is,” Stiles sighed.
“Fair... Hey so what exactly happened in there?”
“So much.”
Stiles took the time to fill you in on what he had just witnessed while you guys waited for Scott. It would be impossible to believe for anyone else but at this rate you could never hear anything surprising anymore. Scott had finally shown up, allowing you guys to get in and get out of the cold.
“You okay?” Scott asked softly, to which Stiles gave a slight nod, “Yeah, you’re right. It’s not like you. I mean, it’s eyes were almost, like, reptilian.” Stiles took a small breath, “But there was something about them.”
You tilted your head, he didn’t mention anything like that. “What do you mean?” Scott asked.
“You know when you see, like, a friend in a Halloween mask, but all you can actually see are their eyes, and you feel like know, but you just can’t figure out who it is?” You grasped the sides of the front seats and launched yourself forward to stick yourself in the middle, “Wait you didn’t tell me any of this.”
“Are you saying you know who it is?” asked Scott.
“No, but I think it knew me.”
~
The next morning, you got up as fast as you could. You were on a mission today, Deaton had said he could tell you more about what you are and you were determined to get it out of him. You wanted to know. No. You needed to know, you needed to learn to control whatever is it. To understand what you are, who are you.
When you made it to the clinic, you saw the closed sign. However, you knew Deaton always came in earlier on the weekends to get more paperwork related things done and you were right. His car was sitting outside the employee entrance. You took your chances on the door being opened and of course it was locked, luckily you lived with the boy who worked there and that same boy always left his key on the front door table. You scrambled through your bag and grabbed the key, unlocking the front door, you entered.
“Deaton?”
The man, rounded the corner, a very obvious confused expression sat on his face, “Y/N, nice to see you, how did you get in?” You sheepishly raised your hand holding the shiny key, “Your employee has a very bad habit of leaving this in the key dish.” He breathed a light chuckle, “Okay well, what can I do for you?”
“I want to know Deaton. I want to know what I am. I need to know how to control it.”
He gave a warm smile, “Well I think I can provide some very useful information, come on, let’s talk.” He gestured for you to follow him and you did just that, slowly you could feel the nerves start to bubble up. This was it, all the questions, all the worries, they were going to be answered. Once and for all you could get rid of this internal struggle. Then maybe you could start to be of use.
“Okay well let’s start with the simplest of the questions you probably have, what are you, but to understand what you are you have to first know the whole story.” You gave an unsure nod, “Okay, how do I learn the story?”
He pointed, turning around to a cabinet and grabbing a book from inside, “You let me tell you, now I know it may seem silly but knowing everything in the end, will allow you better control. It will allow you to push your limits without breaking yourself.” He placed the book on the table, you swore you saw a small cloud of dust puff out from under it when it hit the surface. Deaton had flipped to a page, almost like he knew by heart where to go.
“You see in the world of the supernatural, there is this constant fight for balance. Good versus evil, predator versus prey, brute force versus strategy, and with that comes the ones who are given the responsibility to maintain that balance. Some give guidance, some protect and fight along side, and some stand alone pushing back either side when it becomes too much. You happen to be of the second group.”
You took a moment to process, “Okay, what else?”
“Well in each group, you will typically see unique qualities now some can and will overlap but the important distinction of each is what will show you the path in the world you will take. Now the ones who give guidance, they are like me, someone with a foot in the supernatural door way but still human. They are people who have tapped into the lines of the power the supernatural provide but it doesn’t necessarily run through their veins. The ones who stand alone, these are species whose only purpose is to oversee the supernatural, to maintain it’s balance and to even protect the secret of their world.” He took a pause before glancing over at you, noticing your intense stare at the pages in front of you, he smiled and continued.
“This last category is the one that’s pretty special, now while you might find that some who provide guidance will also take part in packs, it is not necessary. You, however, are part of the ones who are commonly drawn to packs, like betas and omegas, and grow stronger through pack bonds, like alphas. This is because, like Scott, your supernatural power runs through your veins; bitten or born, once you are supernatural it is biologically apart of you. This is why your eyes glow just as Scott’s and Derek’s do. Meaning you have to learn control just like they do.”
For the first time since the beginning of the lecture you spoke up, “So that’s why when I get, let’s say, angry I could make the locker doors in the hallway open and shut.”
He tapped the table proudly, “Precisely. It’s almost similar to instinct. Now let’s talk more about you specifically. You’re familiar with mythical creatures like fairies, correct?”
You snorted, “You’re kidding, right?” When you saw no change it his expression, yours dropped, “Are you trying to tell me I’m gonna sprout wings?” He laughed lightly and shook his head, “No, no but like I said, you need to know your whole story.”
“Now before humans became the overwhelming populated race, the supernatural was much more prominent. Meaning, yes fairies in the traditional sense did exist, however with time these creatures had to evolve to stay hidden, to stay protected. Creatures like pixies, became things that we would now call nature sprites, werewolves adapted to have the ability to shift between man and wolf, rather than staying in between the two states. Your species, Y/N, evolved from naturally having wings, ‘the fairies’ to what we would now call, ‘nymphs’.”
“So, what I’m hearing is two hundred centuries ago I would’ve had wings?” You joked trying to shake off the shock of the information.
“Possibly, yes.”
You laughed, “Okay, Doc, so how exactly do I go about all this?”
Deaton turned, once again grabbing a book from the same cabinet and facing you once more, “By learning, learning the spells and rituals of your people. Learning how your people coexisted with the other creatures will give you guidance on your purpose.”
You nodded, “Okay, can you teach me.”
“The basics, yes,” he assured, “however, after that it will be up to you. Unfortunately for you, you live in a time where nymphs no longer habitat specific regions, meaning you’ll have a lot of practicing on your shoulders.” You raised an eyebrow, “What do you mean?” He shrugged slightly, “Well back when nymphs first evolved they still only lived in certain areas, some were protectors of the mountains, some the forest, and some were specifically healers to help provide protection to the living creatures. Eventually, they came to merge as they found when the humans became the greater population in numbers, they needed every bit of knowledge to protect not only those around them but themselves as well.”
“Great so I have more homework because they decided they wanted to be overachievers. Well, when can we get started?”
He slid the book towards you, “How would now, work?”
You smiled, “Now, would be great, but two more questions before we get started.”
“All ears.”
"Well first, how did I become like this?"
"My best guess is that it's in your blood, nymphs typically don't see their power take full effect until adulthood however an outside force like an alpha can push that power to come forth sooner."
"Because I'm drawn to packs like betas and omegas?"
"Precisely, what was your another question?"
“When we were searching for Lydia and when Scott fought Derek, I felt my senses become blurry and dull then all at once, they sharpen, my sight was sharper, my hearing was clearer; do you know why that happened?”
“Actually, I may, it could’ve been your instincts taking over. Similar to how the full moon causes werewolves’ killer instinct to override their senses. May I ask what happened right before this happened?”
“Well with Lydia, it was when we were driving down the road, I know I felt a lot of anxiety when it happened and when it was over I felt like I could see where Lydia was. With Derek, he was choking Scott when I had panicked, my mind went into almost overdrive when my hands slammed the ground. It caused a ripple in the ice and then he was on the ground, an energy was holding him there by the neck.”
“Sounds like when your instinct took over, it casted spells out of desperation. With Lydia it must have been a tracing or tracking spell and with Derek it sounds like you casted a counter spell. Taking a force and deflecting the same amount back on them. I say we start with those since your body has already used them once.”
“Okay, yeah.” You took a pause, “Deaton?”
“Yes?”
“I want to learning the tracking spell first. I want to be able to find Isaac.”
~
“Okay, Y/N, the first thing you need to understand is that your senses become blurry to be able to connect to the supernatural energy that runs through the world naturally. This is because a tracking spell connects you to those energies to send you the information on who you’re looking for.”
You were standing in the middle of the room, shaking out your hands from nerves, “Okay, so what’s the first step?”
“You first need to learn how to connect to the energy that flows through the world. Close your eyes. Relax. Try to let your mind go blank.”
Releasing a jagged breath you did as instructed, “You might start to feel faint since you’re now consciously trying to tap into your power rather than letting instinct take over, through time this will effect you less and less.”
Just like he had described when you relaxed your breathing and could feel your body slowly release, you started to feel fuzzy, almost sick. You tried not to worry, you would be alright, just take it slowly. A buzzing sound could be heard, like the sound an old lightbulb makes. It kept getting louder. And louder. And louder. Until it stopped, complete and utter silence. “Now once you feel you are ready, and only when you feel ready, think about Isaac. Picture him, his figure, the color of his eyes, his hair, maybe even a clothing item he wears a lot. Whatever you connect to him should be in your head. If you are properly entwined with the world’s energy it’ll know exactly who or what you’re looking for. And it will show you.”
All you could do was nod, afraid that too much movement would break your concentration and you did exactly what Deaton said. You pictured him. His beautiful curly hair, his soft blue eyes, his lacrosse jersey, his slightly awkward pre-wolf demeanor, his small laugh. Everything you thought of made you feel clearer and clearer, it was working. Then suddenly...
You saw his house, you were standing right at the front door. You looked around, everything looked normal and it felt so real. Except for one thing, in the distance there was a slight glow. Pointing you down the street, so you followed it and when you stepped into the glow your location changed once again. This time it was dark and wet smelling, you could see stairs right next to you so you made the journey down and there he was. The tall boy you adored so much was right there talking with Derek, he looked stressed. You tried to make your way over to him but as you grew closer the image started to disappear and like nothing happened you were back at the clinic. Your eyes snapped open, no doubt glowing as you could feel the slight heat.
“I found him! He was right there!” You spun to face Deaton, who had a proud look on his face, you had done it. You had successfully casted your first spell, no doubt out of pure luck and guidance.
“Congratulations, you seem to be a natural. You might find that spells your body has casted out of instinct might inherently be easier, which will make for good practice. It’ll allow you to become familiar with the energies your body connects to and the natural power that runs inside you, but for now I think you need to take care of somethings, come back tomorrow.”
“Okay!” You wrapped your arms around the man, making him stumble out of surprise, “Thank you, thank you! See you tomorrow!” You grabbed your bag off the table and sprinted out the door towards the abandoned station, your squeals of excitement trailing just behind you.
~
You had made it to your destination, you really hadn’t thought about what you were going to do and now that you’ve made it, you still hadn't. You looked at the entrance of the station, you took a deep breath, it was now or never. You didn’t know what you were expecting but you definitely weren’t expecting to find Erica trying to devour Derek’s face.
“That’s the last time you do that.”
“Why because I’m a beta?” At this point you were at the middle of the stairs, crouching behind the railing. You might as well try listening in, until you were caught at least.
“No because I have someone else in mind for you.” What the hell was that suppose to mean?
“Are we done?” Your body froze, this was the first time you had heard his voice, his actual voice, not the fake attempt to be intimidating voice. “Cause I have about a hundred bones that need a few hours to heal.”
From your very limited eyesight you could see Derek get down to Isaac’s level, grabbing his arm he snapped it. You felt yourself cringe at the sound, you could practically feel the fear radiating off the others in the room.
“You think I’m teaching you how to fight, huh? Look at me! I’m teaching you how to survive.” He dropped Isaac’s head, allowing him to crash back to the ground, “If they wanted us dead, why aren’t they coming for us now?” Isaac challenged his alpha, “What are they waiting for?”
“I don’t know. But they’re planning something, and you, especially, know that’s not our only problem.” You scoffed so he’s preparing them to survive by crushing their bones a thousand times over. Apparently he’s a worse teacher as an alpha than he was at a beta. “Whatever that thing is that killed Isaac’s father, I think it killed someone else last night. And until I find out what it is, you all need to learn everything I know, as fast as I could teach you.”
Now was the time for you to make yourself known if you were ever going to, tension was slightly better and Derek had stopped his rambunctious yelling. Plus you wanted to be able to shove in his face how much of an idiot he actually was and you couldn’t do that if he wasn’t in the room.
“Well doesn’t this seem to be the most exciting class ever?” You leaned forward against the railing, your elbow sat on the beam and your palm resting on your cheek. If there’s was one thing you were good at, it was playing it cool. You saw all four heads in the room shoot up in your direction, three had confused looks on their faces and one looked more irritated than before.
“What are you doing here, Y/N? How’d you find this place?” Derek questioned in his most famous stance, feet shoulder width apart and arms crossed. You hopped down the last few stairs using your grip on the bottom beam to playfully swing your body around the corner. You raised the book Deaton had given you, “Training but since I found my way here I figured ‘why not drop by and say hi’, pretty nice of me don’t you think?”
Even from a distance you could never miss the way Derek rolled his eyes, so dramatic, almost cartoonish. He had turned to leave the room but you spoke up again, “You know, me, Scott, and Stiles may not know everything there is to know about the supernatural world, I mean they barely know how to talk to girls without blacking out so what can you expect,” you shrugged, “but even so, you’d be very surprised on how much information we tend to find out. Such as what the creature actually is, well to be more accurate what it looks like and why it does what it does.”
That information definitely perked his attention, “Since when would you ever share information with me, you don’t trust me,” his eyes narrowed at you, analyzing your figure. You took a second to look at the trio of new betas and their expressions could almost make you laugh if it weren’t for the situation. They were so clearly astonished, like they couldn’t imagine anyone talking to their alpha like how you were. You huffed slightly before sitting on a spare create nearby.
“You’re completely right, I don’t trust you. In fact, I quite literally hate you. But the fact of the matter is, I don’t want to have to see them,” you pointed to the beta trio, who had jumped slightly at the sudden gesture toward them, “die because of you.”
“So if that means I have to swallow my pride, as much as it would so deeply pain me to do so, to willing you give you information because maybe, just maybe, it’ll save them from dying due to your stupidity… I’ll do it. Because they say they know what they signed up for but I know from experience, you definitely didn’t give them everything.” Silence. He knew you were right, he couldn’t argue with you even if he tried.
“Y/N-.”
“I’m not finished Derek Hale.”
“When I tell you the things I know, do you think for once, you could not be an insufferable prick?” You smirked and Derek gave you another narrowed look before silently walking away. You took the opportunity to slowly make your way to the trio, sitting back down on a different box. You gave a shy smile and a small wave, it was like you were a completely different person, it made the beta trio uneasy, “How have you guys been?” They stared at you clueless, none of them could comprehend your question, too thrown off by the situation. After some time, Boyd cleared his throat, “We’ve been okay.”
You nodded satisfied, “That’s good, I’m glad, we’ve been worried about you guys, you know?” Erica scoffed, “Oh yeah.”
“Of course, Scott doesn’t want to see you guys get hurt, none of us do. Did my whole spectacle back there not show that? I could go do it again for you guys. Derek’s pretty used to me yelling at him, I did it all last semester.” Isaac snorted, covering his face slightly when he realized it was a lot louder than he had anticipated. Erica gave you a sour look before she grabbed Boyd’s arm and the two walked away, towards their alpha.
You were now left with the boy that was your whole reasoning for being here. The air was suffocating to say the least, neither one of you could find the words to say. Your knee bounced from the nerves as you looked all around the room before sitting on the ground. “Don’t take Erica’s attitude too personal, she’s just a little hot headed from her rejection earlier.” You waved the boy off, “Yeah, I saw it, I don’t blame her, personally I’d dig my own grave if that happened to me.” Isaac smiled clearly amused by your imagination, “Like you would ever get rejected, people practically begged you to go with them to the winter formal, boys and girls.”
“Maybe, but I only wanted to go with one person and they never asked, so I guess I attract silent rejection,” you were testing the waters, to see if maybe he knew who you were talking about (him of course). “Really, who?” And failure. You shook your head, “It doesn’t matter, anyways, how are your bones coming along,” you joked.
“Never better, I would say.” What a liar, you could clearly see the fractures. “So, training, huh? What training were you getting?”
You pointed to your eyes and made them flash, “Learning how to control this.”
Another silence fell over you, definitely awkward and you didn’t know what to say next. Everything was different now, technically you guys were on different sides. That last time you saw each other he was throwing your best friend into machinery and you were sending his alpha into the ice. What were you supposed to say? You certainly didn’t know but maybe you should take this chance while you had it.
“Isaac?” His head turned to you, giving you all of his attention.
“I have to be honest, I like you, a lot. Okay, which is why I’m going to tell you exactly what I think. Plain in simple, I think you’re making a mistake being here with Derek. I don’t trust him and I never have. I don’t want to see you or the others get hurt. I care so much about you.”
There was a pause, you could tell he was taking it all in, processing everything you just said. His eyebrows furrowed almost like he was offended and you could tell this wasn’t about to be a good end to your conversation, “Frankly, I don’t need your advice. And you’re the ones that need to be careful.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Because I know you follow Scott around and if you guys get in the way Derek won’t hesitate to move you out of it.” You blinked slowly, in shock of what you were hearing. You knew you were taking a risk talking about this whole different sides thing but you were worried for him. You didn’t know what to expect but it certainly wasn’t a hostile answer. You grabbed your bag and stood from your spot on the ground, “Fine. It was you by the way.”
“What?”
“It was you that I wanted to go to the winter formal with.” you said turning you back away and making your way towards to the stairs. You knew you were just upset and you would regret your next sentence but at that moment you didn’t care, “You put one hand on Scott or Stiles and the next person breaking your bones won’t be Derek,” you flicked your head to the side, looking at him, flashing your eyes, “It’ll be me.”
~
After that horrendous weekend, you at least would be able to distract yourself by focusing on the weird lizard problem you had. You haven’t had the chance to tell either of the boys what you knew about yourself, mainly because you were so distracted over your talk turned argument with Isaac. However, you could entertain yourself with the free show you were receiving right now.
“I’m so sorry about the other day. I’m trying. We’ll get through this. I know because I love you.” You felt a giggle rip through your throat as you watched Stiles recite Allison’s words to Scott. You placed your textbook in front of your face to try and hide the soft laughs coming from you, Stiles had already pulled at your ears for laughing the last few times.
“I love you more than… Oh, my God! I can’t!” At this point your giggles had evolved into full blown explosions of laughter. “You and Allison just have to find a better way to communicate.”
“Come on!” Scott whined, “You and Y/n are the only ones we can trust. Is she coming to the game tonight?”
“Yes, okay? Message complete.”
“Hey, chill out Stiles, you know the risk of those two being seen together,” you tried to reason. His head whipped up at you, “You wanna try?” You raised your hands in defense, “I never said that, plus it was my turn the last time.” Stiles now brought his attention back to the boy next to him, “Alright, now tell me about your boss.”
“He thinks that Allison’s family keeps some kind of record of all the things that they’ve hunted. Like a book.”
“He probably means a bestiary.” You nodded in agreement with Stiles.
“A what?”
“A bestiary,” Stiles repeated and Scott had started to lightly chuckle, “I think you mean bestiality.” You felt your whole body dropped, he couldn’t be serious could he?
“No. He definitely means bestiary,” you deadpanned.
“It’s like an encyclopedia of mythical creatures.”
“How am I the only one that doesn’t seem to know anything about this stuff,” Scoff complained.
“Okay, you know, you guys are my best friends, you’re a creature of the night and she’s…” he took a pause pointing up at you before sighing dramatically, “we still don’t know what she’s is yet, but nonetheless, it’s kind of like a priority of mine.” You had completely forgotten to tell them that you knew. Well that’s awkward.
“Well actually, I talk to Deaton this weekend and I actually found out a lot, but this is more important so let’s focus on this for now,” you rambled slightly. They both looked at you with expecting looks before Scott started speaking, “Okay, we’re coming back to that for sure,” Stiles nodded in agreement, “But if we can find it, and it can tell us what this thing is..”
“And who.” You and Stiles said together.
“We need that book.”
~
“So you’re a nymph?” You nodded at the omega walking next to you, you guys were heading to your lockers, waiting for Stiles to show up.
“Yep, at least that’s what I’ve been told,” you confirmed. You reached your locker, opening it to grab your textbook for your next class. Scott doing the same. Unfortunately for him, Stiles slammed it closed, very clearly out of breath, “She says it has to be- office.” He exasperated, trying his best to catch his breath before taking off again down the hall.
You looked at Scott, “Is he talking about the bestiary?” The boy nodded in response, “Yeah, apparently Gerard has it in his office.”
You snapped, if you were a cartoon character you were sure you would have a lightbulb hovering over your head, “If Allison’s invites him to the game and she can swipe his keys, me or Stiles could go look for it in his office.” Scott had patted you on the shoulder excitedly, almost like a child.
“We just have to wait it out, now.”
Later that night, you guys were set up at the field the boys were getting geared up and you were stuck running last minute plays with Coach. The anxiety was already building up, especially because you had seen Boyd and Erica show up for the game earlier, which could only mean something was potentially at play.
You had been thinking about it since you had seen their sly smiles, they knew you had seen them. Erica especially made you uneasy but that was only because she always had that sultry look that you could just tell was very under practiced. Like she wanted to look like she had all the control in the world. Boyd just made you sad, the poor boy just wanted friends and Derek manipulated him. You couldn’t pick favorites anymore though, as of this weekend they were all on the other side. There was no trying to protect them when you had to protect your friends. Luckily you had the crashes of the game to distract you.
“Come on! Is that thing even a teenager? I wanna see a birth certificate!”
Your eyes focused back on the game, not like you had any choice with Coach screaming in your ear.
“Who or what is that genetic experiment gone wrong?” Coach had directed his question to Stiles and you.
“Eddie Obomowitz, Coach,” Stiles replied with a sigh. You leaned over your best friend slightly, “They call him ‘The Abomination’,” you finished as Stiles gave a shimmy for piazza.
“Oh, that’s cute.” Coach commented sarcastically before allowing his focus to move back to the game.
You looked to the bleachers towards where Allison and her grandfather were sitting. Allison’s head turned to Gerard and you could see her speaking, Gerard said something back while shrugging off his coat, handing it over to the girl. You smiled, she did it, you gave Stiles a pat on the shoulder. A silent marker to let him know everything was going well. You slowly made your way towards the pair in the stands, making sure to stay out of the elder man’s eyesight. Allison was dangling the keys over the side of the bench and you swiftly grabbed them from her. Now all you had to do was meet up with Stiles and you two could look for that damn book.
You jogged into the silent lot, seeing the spastic boy already looking for you, “Stiles,” you called. He turned to face you, his face going from relief to then frozen. He was looking behind you. Confused, you spun around only to see the same tall curly haired boy you had just argued with over the weekend. Without a thought you threw to keys at Stiles, “Go, I’ll take care of this.”
Stiles gave you an ‘are you sure look’ clearly concerned at the circumstances, “It’s fine, I’ll catch up.” He huffed before nodding and started his venture towards the school.
“What are you doing here Isaac?”
“I had to see you.”
"Okay, why?"
"To apologize and beg you to forgive me."
His words made your body relax but you didn't know what to say. You kept your arms wrapped around your figure, his eyes were practically burning into you.
"I'm giving you five minutes," he nodded rapidly, lightly placing his hand on your folded arms to guide you further from the lightpost. You looked at him strangely, "I still can't be seen in public, I am still technically a fugitive you know." You let him guide you away from the area that was being shined on by the light.
When you reach a spot he deemed adaquate, you could tell he was starting to get nervous, he rocked back and forth on his feet like a child.
"Okay, your five minutes are starting now," you huffed.
"Um, okay, well. First, I want to start by saying I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have said what I did, I don't even know why I said it. I really don't think I've gotten a hold of the whole rage induced behavior thing yet." There was a pause as he looked at you expectingly, when you gave him notion to keep going he began to speak once more.
"And I do appreciate that you care so much about me, no one ever has. I care about you too, you know and I don't want to see you get hurt." You gave him a questioning look not sure what he meant. "I just mean that you guys do need to be careful because Derek is dead set on fixing this the way he wants to, Erica and Boyd are also going to follow him no matter what and.." he started to stutter.
"And?"
"And I'm going to as well."
You sighed, "Isaac-."
"You can't change my mind (Y/N). I can't be an omega, I won't. But that's not the only thing I wanted to say."
You straighten your posture, "Okay what is it?" You saw him scratch at the back of his neck before he made eye contact with you, “I wanted to go with you too.”
You blinked, “What?”
“The winter formal. I wanted to go with you too, I just couldn’t work up the nerve to ask you.” You felt yourself smile and you were sure you looked like the cheshire cat at this point, “You did?” He nodded immediately in response, “Of course, you’re you, why wouldn’t I want to go with you?”
After that you couldn’t be sure how much time had passed, you two talked for a while. At some point you even slipped your hand into his, while you guys sat on curb. You guys both were unfortunately interrupted by a loud crash of glass. Your head whipped towards the school, looking back at Isaac who just shrugged, you motioned him off, “You can’t risk being seen, go, I’ll go see what’s going on.”
“(Y/n)-.”
“Go, Isaac!” You demanded already making your way to the school. When you got inside you saw Stiles and Derek on the side of the pool, Erica on the ground and Scott, transformed, holding a shard of mirror. Another crash could be heard this time from the creature escaping into the night.
“Okay what the hell just happened?”

————————————————————————
You were searching through your locker looking for your textbook but your mind was also currently very distracted. The night of the game was a stressful one, even though you did end up with more information of what the scaly murderer was. A Kanima, you still remember the conversation from that cold night crystal clear.
“Is that even a language?” Stiles commented frustration dripping from his words.
“How are we supposed to figure out what this thing is,” questioned Scott as you scrolled through the contents of Gerard’s hard drive.
“It’s called the Kanima.”
You felt yourself sneer at the approaching pair, you three faced the Alpha and Beta. You crossed your arms like it was some kind of armor against them. “You knew the whole time,” Stiles concluded.
“No. Only when it was confused by its own reflection.”
“It doesn’t know what it is,” you said letting your arms dropped to your side eventually. Derek gave a sharp and small nod, “Or who.”
“What else do you know?” Stiles asked.
“Just stories. Rumors.”
“But it’s like us?”
“It’s a shapeshifter, yes. But it’s not right. It’s like a…” he hesitated. You shuffled, the whole discussion making you uncomfortable. You mumbled slightly as you fixed your stance, “An abomination.” Derek looked at you before nodding once more. He gave the signal and Erica and him began to leave but Scott stopped them, calling Derek’s name. “We need to work together on this. Maybe even tell the Argents.”
“You trust them?”
“Nobody trusts anyone,” you felt your voice rip out of your throat before you could even think, “That’s the problem.”
“While we’re here arguing about who’s on what side, there’s something scarier, stronger and faster than any of us, and it’s killing people!” You could here the clear stress coming from Scott as he lectured Derek. “And we still don’t even know anything about it!” Scott’s point made Derek’s expression harden.
“I know one thing. When I find it, I’m gonna kill it.”
SLAM!
Your whole body jumped as your locker was slammed shut. Behind the now closed locker door was Stiles, panting, he grabbed your wrist before starting to rush you towards the classroom. Once you reached the door, he let go of your wrist and crashed into his seat leaning over Scott's shoulder.
"Dude, I just talked to my dad, who just talked to Jackson, and I've got really terrible, horrible, very, very bad news."
Scott gestured ahead of him, "I think I already know."
Isaac.
You, on the other hand, didn't respond. You just stared at the now filled seat. In your now slightly unfocused vision, you could see your two best friends turned towards you. They were waiting on your reaction.
Letting your eyes carry themselves over to the boys, you gave an awkward smile before slowly making your way to your usual seat, right behind the curly haired werewolf. The teacher's voice could be heard as class began but your focus was only on the leather jacket wearing boy in front of you. You could practically feel the arrogance radiating off of him. It made your blood boil. You didn't understand him anymore. One minute he was the shy and nervous boy you had always known and then the next he was as cocky, if not more so, than the current Erica. It made you wonder if everything he has said to you since his transformation has been an act. Could you trust anything he said anymore?
You felt two pairs of hands on your shoulders, waking you from your frenzied thoughts. You hadn't even realized the bell ringing or the students leaving. You had daydreamed the whole period. Glancing to meet Scott's eyes before shifting to Stiles for a moment, you could see the sympathetic looks they were giving you.
"Don't look at me like that, please," you uttered quietly as if your voice would shatter the world if you spoke too loudly. You finally rose from your seat, gathering your things before motioning to the door. The boys took their designated spots on either side of you before Stiles began speaking.
"Alright, I only found one thing online called the Kanima. It's a were-jaguar from South America that goes after murderers."
Scott's eyes widened slightly, "That thing was not a jaguar."
"Yeah and I'm not exactly a murderer," Stiles pointed out. You felt yourself smile at the two boys as you witnessed the exchange.
"Yeah, but you did see it kill somebody, which is probably why it tried to kill you. And it's still trying to kill you, and it probably won't stop until you're dead," Scott concluded walking away as Stiles stopped in his tracks.
A cackle left your mouth as Stiles called out to the werewolf boy now in the distance, "You know, sometimes I really begin to question this 'friendship'." He air quoted as your laugh continued to echo through the halls. Stiles scoffed at you before placing his hand on your back and pushing you forward.
Little did you know, your laughing and Stiles had distracted you enough that you didn't notice the blue eyed werewolf standing nearby staring at you, longingly.
You three had finally made it to Coach's class, taking your seats, you guys began setting up for the period. Sadly for you, you had gotten stuck behind Stiles meaning next to you sat... Jackson. Who, unfortunately for you, was here today. He rushed in sitting in his seat.
"Hey, testicle left and right." You saw the boys' forms physically change from annoyance at the rich boy's voice.
"What the hell is a Kanima?"
That question made all three of you jump and look at Jackson. Then a slam could be heard, followed by Coach's voice.
"Okay, listen up. A quick warning before we begin our review. Some of you, like McCall, might want to start their own study groups, because tomorrow's midterm is so profoundly difficult... I'm not even sure I could pass it." He took a breath before continuing, however, you weren't listening and neither were your friends as you three turned back to Jackson.
"Paralyzed, from the neck down. Do you have any idea what that feels like," Jackson snarled his head whipping back and forth between you three.
"I'm familiar with the sensation," Stiles commented unamused. You snorted earning yourself a glare from Jackson.
"Wait..." Scott paused, "Why would Derek test you? Why would he think that it's you?"
"How should I know?"
"Do they think it's Lydia?" Stiles urged. Jackson shrugged, "I don't know, all I heard was her name and something about chemistry."
"JACKSON!" Coach screamed, catching your attention. "Do you have something you want to share with the rest of the class?"
"Umm... Just an undying admiration for my... My coach."
"That's really kind of you," Coach said sarcastically. Jackson held a high and mighty look on his face but Coach ruined it before he could bask in his made up glory.
"Now, SHUT UP! SHUT IT! Anybody else?"
Once Coach had turned back towards the board, Scott's hands were grabbing Stiles' collar and your sleeve tugging you both to him.
"How do we know that it's not her?"
"We don't," you said. Stiles gave you a look before speaking, "Because I looked into the eyes of thing, okay? And what I saw was pure evil. And when I look into Lydia's eyes, I only see fifty percent evil."
You scoffed, "Oh yeah, cause that's helpful."
"Alright, maybe sixty. You know, but no more than forty on a good day."
"Stiles, that's not a very good argument," Scott replied.
"I'm aware of that, but I swear it's not her. It can't be, alright? Lydia's fine."
"On another note, please never become a lawyer," you joked earning a light smack on the head from Stiles.
You three were interrupted by Coach calling the red haired girl's name. If by fine he had meant completely out of her mind, then Stiles would be right. She had tears running down her face and she was gasping as if she just awoke from a nightmare.
"Okay then, anybody else want to try answering? This time in English?" The call reply in laughter.
Behind Lydia, on the chalk board, were letters she had written. You immediately recognized them to just be backwards, when flipped they spelt out 'SOMEONEHELPME'. Apparently you were the only one to see that.
"What is that, Greek?"
"No, actually, I think it is English." Stiles showed a photo of the words and then flipped them.
"You needed your phone to read that?"
~
"Derek is not gonna kill her without proof," stated Scott as you three walked into chemistry. "Alright, so he tests her like he did with Jackson, right? But when and where?"
You saw Erica and Isaac walked into class right then, their eyes immediately shooting over to you three. Your arms shot out, the backs of your hands tapping their abdomens. They both looked at you, turning in the direction of where you gestured. Scott panicked, "I think here and now."
You saw the different expressions on their faces Erica look determined and confident, ready for a showdown. Even though Isaac gave you an unsure look, he was the one to start the duo's advancing. You felt your body throw itself forward as you rushed to beat them to the seat, which you did, you gave them both a snark before giving Lydia the best smile you could without showing how nervous you were.
A second later both Stiles and Scott joined you, Scott on your side and Stiles on Lydia's. You gave them panicked eyes and all you did was receive two shrugs. Lydia looked startled, glancing at you with questioning eyes and when you gave her no answer she rolled them before turning her attention to her textbook.
Allison walked in not a moment too later, definitely surprised to see her usual spot taken by you. She looked to Scott for answers as she sat at the other table across. Scott nudged his head backwards and she got the messege.
"Einstein once said, 'Two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.'" Mr. Harrison took a pause patting Stiles' shoulder, "I myself have encountered infinite stupidity." He walked to the front of the class as he continued his lecture, "So to combat the plague of ignorance in my class, you're going to combine efforts through a round of group experiments. Let's see if two heads are indeed better than one. Or in Mr. Stilinski's case, less than one." You could practically feel Stiles' annoyance from the man's words.
"Erica, you take the first station," you heard the rustle as almost everyone raised their hands, clearly trying to volunteer themselves, "You'll start with..." Harrison had stopped due to the show of hands, you glanced around the room seeing everyone but you, Allison, Lydia, Stiles, Scott, and Isaac raising their hands.
"I didn't ask for volunteers. Put your hormonal little hands down." His eyes met your table, "Start with Mr. McCall. Alright, next two." You felt Scott tense beside you as students started to shuffle when being called, you placed your hand on his arm trying to offer comfort.
"Ms. (L/N), you're with Mr. Lahey."
Your head shot up, eyes wide, you sucked in a breath. You gave both Stiles and Scott worried looks before slowly getting up and moving to the seat that was previously occupied by the blonde werewolf. You sat with a huff and Isaac's head tilted towards you.
"Hello there, beautiful, long time no see."
"Don't," you whispered. He had his head leaning on his elbow, he slid his elbow down the table his face now in your eye line, "Oh come on, you haven't missed me?"
"Stop acting like this is some kind of sick game," you said harshly, your voice low so no one could hear you. He smirked before straightening his posture to start working. He sat there quietly measuring with a smug look on his face. You finally turned to him when you couldn't handle the silence anymore.
"Whatever your plan is, please, just leave her alone," you pleaded. He sat down the beakers before facing you, he brushed a hair out of your eye, "Do you even like her, why do you care?" You scoffed, the audacity, who cares what you thought of the girl. Killing someone was wrong, why couldn't he see that?
"Just because I'm not close to her doesn't mean I can just toss her life away. She doesn't deserve that," you took a pause and finally made eye contact with him. His face softened ever so slightly, you could've convinced yourself that you had imagined it. But you hadn't, he almost looked like his old self. "Just please, stop, you don't have to do this," you spoke softly.
"Sorry, but I have to do this, Derek's orders."
Ding!
"Switch!"
You got up quickly, when you saw Scott sit with Lydia you headed to a station that was empty. You took a deep inhale and shook your hands, you hadn't noticed until now, you were shaking.
The screech of the seat sounded next to you meaning someone was now accompanying you at the station. You looked to your side only to feel a sense of dread, it was Erica. She was definitely the more aggressive of the two betas... at least when it came to you that is.
Trying to mind your business you just grabbed the measuring tubes and began to mix what you were being told. "You know, I don't see what he sees in you."
"Excuse me?"
"Isaac, I don't understand what he sees in you. To be honest, you seem quite boring."
You gave her a sickly sweet smile, "Well, I'm deeply sorry to disappoint but I couldn't care less of what you think of me." She shrugged, "Just saying considering how many hoops Derek has to jump through to keep him in line simply because of you, I figured there would be something interesting there." You raised an eyebrow at her words, what the actual hell was she talking about?
"I don't know what you mean."
"What I mean is that anytime you're in his eyesight he gets all mushy and Derek is concerned on his loyalty, so if I have to create some distance between you two myself I will." At this point you had one hand gripping the desk so hard to keep yourself under control. You whipped your head to finally face her.
"And what the hell is that supposed to insinuate?"
"I'm just saying, maybe the event of a hurt friend would take your mind off of him for a while."
You lightly slammed your palms on the table, "You lay one finger on any of my friends and I swear to everything, I will break every bone in your body and grind them into dust." You felt her hand grab your arm, her claws digging into your skin, her eyes glowing. You winced and you felt yourself get slightly fuzzy. You were losing what little control you had. You could feel the familiar heat from your eyes, there was no doubt they were glowing as well. Without thinking you grabbed her clawed arm with your free hand, you could feel heat radiating from your palm. She instantly let out a pained groaned, letting go as the bell dinged once more.
You got up, looking at your now slightly bleeding wound on your forearm. You looked for a seat only to see that Isaac was already sitting with Lydia. Frantically, you looked for Stiles and Scott only to find them sitting together. They gave you panicked looks and you returned it as you sat at another table.
Your eyes did nothing but burn holes into Lydia's and Isaac's backs as you watched him interact with her. He didn't give any noticable signs that he has trying to do anything to her, yet that is.
"Time. If you've catalyzed the reaction correctly, you should now be looking at a crystal." You indeed were looking at a crystal, you turned back to the boys only to see them looking at their glob and then Scott casted his attention to the red head and beta across from you. You joined him in leading your eyesight over to the pair to see Isaac picking up the crystal, observing it, and then offering it to Lydia.
"Now for the part of that last experiment I'm sure you'll all enjoy, you can eat it."
Lydia took the crystal from him and your eyes widened in realization when you could faintly see the clear viscos liquid on it. Glancing at your crystal still in the beaker you confirmed what you were thinking. The kanima's toxic, they had put it on the crystal.
"LYDIA!"
You jumped at the booming sound of Scott's voice and you weren't the only one. Lydia and the rest of the class projected their attention onto the boy, who was quickly embarrassed and dismissed Lydia's question before sitting back down. There was nothing you could do. All you did was sit back and watch as she ate the crystal. You waited for the sound of her dropping to the floor due to paralysis but...
It never came.
~
You led the dark haired trio into Coach's office, locking the door behind you with the keys Coach gave you at the beginning of the year. You four were currently radiating every ounce of stress possible.
"Derek's outside waiting for Lydia," Scott said as you turned to face the group.
Allison gave Scott a worried look, "Waiting to kill her?"
"Well he's sure not waiting to give her a hug," you commented scratching your forehead out of frustration, you looked at Allison for a second, "Sorry, just frustrated." She gave you a nod of reassurance before looking to Scott again for answers.
"If he thinks she's the Kanima, then yes, especially after what happened at the pool."
"It's not her," Stiles affirmed.
You groaned slightly, "Stiles, come on."
"She didn't pass the test, man. Nothing happened," Scott spoke softly but it did nothing to convince Stiles, "No, it can't be her."
"It doesn't matter, because Derek thinks it's her," Allison finally gave in with a sigh. You scoffed, "Yeah and with Derek's severe lack in brain power, that's all he needs to justify his order to kill." Allison gestured to you in agreement. "Either we can convince him that he's wrong, or we've got to figure out a way to protect her."
"I really don't think he's gonna do anything here, not at school."
The dark hair girl shot back instantly, "What about after school?"
There was a moment of silence between all for of you as you all exchanged looks. "What if we can prove that Derek's wrong," Allison asked.
"By three o'clock?" Stiles and Allison started began a back and forth.
"There could be something in the bestiary."
"OH! You mean the nine hundred page book written in archaic Latin that nothing of us can read? Good luck with that."
"Actually, I think I might know someone who can translate it," she finished.
Scott stuttered slightly, "Uh, I can talk to Derek, maybe convince him to give us a chance to prove that it's not her."
"In the mean time, we could get Lydia to our house, neutral ground. It would be safer, plus I could maybe buy us some time to get her there." You pulled out the dusty book that's been stuffed in your bag since you've gotten it. "I've been practicing," you finished.
Scott took a second to look at you three before letting out a sigh, "But if anything happens, you guys let me handle it, okay?"
"What does that mean," Allison stared at the werewolf.
"I mean you guys can't heal like I do. I just don't want you getting hurt." Allison deadpanned before pulling her crossbow out of her bag
"I can protect myself," Allison rebutted. You and Stiles let them have their moment as you placed a hand on Stiles' shoulder. You saw him fiddle with the crossbow that Allison sat down but before you could stop him, an arrow shot out and towards Scott. Luckily he had caught it in time.
"Ah, sorry. Sensitive trigger on that." You smacked his head before dragging him out of the room, where you guys tried to go about the rest of your day.
~
Stiles had some how gotten Lydia to agree to a study group, which led you to being dragged through the library with them two. She shrugged him off before heading off in front of him. Allison caught up with you eventually and then you felt another presence. You looked over your shoulder to see Jackson following you as well. You didn't even bother to question it, the uptight boy always had his reasons for his actions and you've never been able to make sense of them.
"If we're doing a study group, why don't we just stay in the library?"
"Because we're meeting up with someone else," Stiles gave her shoulder a light pat and Lydia made another argument, "Well, why don't they just meet us in the library?"
"Oh, that would've been a great idea. Too late."
"Okay, hold on-," Jackson squeezed passed you, grabbing Lydia's arm and jerking her forward, "Lydia, shut up and walk." For the first time since knowing the boy, you didn't see a reason to make a snarky comment.
"Oh, hey you guys? I forgot something back there. Go on ahead, I'll meet you guys there," you called to the group now a few feet ahead of you. Giving Stiles and Allison a pointed look, they nodded back understanding what you were planning to do. Buy them some time to get Lydia out of here.
You backtracked towards the library when you heard your name being called, "Hey, (L/N)!" You looked in the direction of the call, getting met with a flash in your eyes, raising your hands to cover the light from your face. When the flash cleared you were met with the face of Matt, a player on the team, sitting with Danny. "Thanks," he said. How odd. You gave him a look of acknowledgement, then you heard the door to the library open. You quickly ducked into one of the aisles, out of eye line.
"Where is she?" You dipped your head slightly out seeing Isaac, his hand gripping Matt's shirt with Erica just behind him. You softly reached over to the next aisle through the shelf, pushing the books on the floor to create noise. You made a dash for the side door leading into the hallway, not even a second later footsteps could be heard following you. You turned a couple corners making sure to not be fully seen before slipping into an open and empty classroom. You had maybe a couple of seconds to grab your book and flip to the newly marked page. Your eyes glided down the page straight to what you were looking for... a barrier spell. It wouldn't be very strong since this is without practice, but it was gonna have to work.
You followed the instructions closing your eyes, letting yourself connect to the energy around you like Deaton had taught you. Their footsteps kept getting clearer and clearer. When you were sure they were in reach your eyes snapped open and with a flick of your hand into the air you saw a wall of iridescent energy fly up. You heard noises of confusion as you walked out of the classroom to meet the duo's faces.
"Pretty neat, huh?"
"Let us go, (Y/N)." Isaac gave you a stern look while Erica just continued to glare. You put your finger on your chin in pretend thought, you straightened your posture before speaking, "No."
Erica shoved past Isaac, "You think your little party trick is going to save your friends from us? Derek and Boyd will just take care of them. And what do you expect to happen when you can't keep this up anymore, huh?"
You took a couple slow steps until the barrier was the only thing between you two, "Don't worry about them, Scott's taking care of it. As for you two, I'm not worried. This isn't to hold you forever, just long enough to make sure they can get her out of here. And even if I had to stay here to keep it up, I don't care what happens to me as long as they're safe." Both betas faltered at that, that surely wasn't the response they were expecting.
"By the way, don't forget," you raised your injured arm, "I still owe you one, for this." In your peripheral you could see Isaac's glance was no longer on you but on Erica. Isaac raised his hand pointing at you, "You did that?" The blond werewolf didn't answer, just kept her eyes on you.
You shook your head, "Doesn't matter, anyways, I have to get going. See you guys around." You made your way out the side doors nearby, the barrier wouldn't last long with you not there to focus on it so you needed to go, now.
Behind you as you rushed out the doors, could be heard the sound of two betas arguing.
~
When you had finally made it home, you went through the back door, locking it. You headed to the front entrance making yourself be known, "Hey, I'm here. They're definitely right behind me though."
Allison breathed a sigh of relief as Stiles gave you a secure hug, "I'm glad you're alright." You gave her a weak smile.
"Where's Lydia?"
"Upstairs with Jackson," Allison answered. You rubbed your hands together and nodded. Stiles looked at you both, "Okay, what's the plan?"
"I could maybe focus a barrier on the house, I was able to do it back in the hallway. It won't be as strong if it works but it'll at least give us some protection until Scott gets here." They gave you a look of relief and nodded.
"Okay, but don't try it until they get here, you need to preserve your energy and we still don't know how your abilities really work yet," Allison set a hand on your shoulder and you agreed.
Soon enough, night fell, Derek's pack had arrive and Scott was no where to be seen. You three were looking at the window staring back at them. They all looked so joyous like they had already won. Allison had already called Scott letting him know he need to get here.
"What are you doing?" Stiles' questioned cause you to turn to the dark haired girl who looked distress.
"I think.. I think I have to call my dad."
"But if you do that.." you started, "If he finds you here, you and Scott," Stiles trailed.
"I know. But what are we supposed to do?"
"I think now is a good time to try that barrier." While the other two kept on their conversation, you stood at the door placing your hand on it, "I'm just gonna try and focus on both doors." You closed your eyes just like before but this time you pictured that same iridescent glow wrapping around the front and back door. Once you were sure you had done it, you just tried to focus on securing it keeping your eyes closed.
"Just shoot one of them."
"Are you serious?"
"We told Scott we could protect ourselves, so let's do it. Or least give it a shot, right?"
"Okay."
"Look, they don't think we're gonna fight, so if one of them gets hit, I guarantee they'll take off. So just shoot one of them."
"Which one?"
"Derek, yeah shoot him, preferably in the head."
"If Scott was able to catch an arrow, Derek definitely can."
"Okay, just shoot one of the other three then."
"You mean two."
"No, I mean three... Where the hell is Isaac?"
Without another word, your eyes had snapped open, "What do you mean, where's Isaac?" Your focus had been completely shattered and so had the barriers. You looked out the window indeed only seeing three werewolves and the curly haired one missing. In your lost of focus you hadn't even heard said werewolf coming up behind you three.
He grabbed Allison by her shirt, throwing her aside, doing the same to Stiles as well. "Isaac, what the hell are you doing?" He ignored you, just like at the ice rink. His focus completely on Stiles, but not for long as you jumped on the boy's back. Considering you only knew a few defensive spells, you in combat was pretty much useless. The werewolf did, however, struggle to get your grip loosened from around him. You both struggled, he lost his balanced and had backed into a wall ultimately slamming you into it but you didn't let go.
In your struggle you hadn't even noticed the dark haired girl running upstairs nor the blond werewolf following her. "Let go, (Y/N)!" This time, it was your turn to ignore him, too focused on keeping your grip firm. Soon you felt the form being thrown out from under you and a grip setting itself around you. Regaining your balance you looked to your side, it was Scott. You smiled, "You made it."
You glanced at the floor to see a tall werewolf passed out on the floor, Allison came down not a moment later informing you guys of Erica's state. Scott went to collect her as you dragged an unconscious Isaac to the front door. When Scott came back with the girl, he tossed both of the betas out the front door, standing on the front porch. You walked out and joined him on his right, Allison joining you on yours and Stiles on hers.
"I think I'm finally getting why you keep refusing me, Scott. You're not an Omega. You're already an Alpha of your own pack. But you know you can't beat me," Derek held a smirk on his face.
"We can hold you off until the cops get here," you nodded in agreement. Sirens could be heard closing in, Derek's smile was quickly wiped off.
You started to hear hissing and you weren't the only one who heard it, Derek had look up at the roof. The four of you on the porch came out into the yard to see the Kanima crawling along the top of ledge. Scott kept Allison close while you and Stiles grabbed at each others arms.
"Get them out of here," Derek ordered Boyd.
Not a second later, more footsteps could be heard coming from the front door. Lydia stomping through, "Will someone please tell me what the hell is going on?"
"It's not Lydia," you whispered.
"It's Jackson."

Tales Of The Moon
Anonymous asked: Issac Lahey x reader with prompts “your lying! say it’s not true” & “stay away from me” where they have been best friends before he got the bite and he’s been distant and he ‘changed’ so she does her research and finds out he’s a werewolf with fluff at the end (I accidentally deleted the request, I'm mad at myself.)
Tumblr media
omg, you have no idea how happy it makes me someone asked me to write from the prompt list. I love you Italics are flashbacks/Sunflower is your nickname. "And that's why I don't like using blue eyeliner" Yn huffed as she finished her story, laying upside down staring at her ceiling. Isaac scrunched up his nose as he looked at her "All because of some idiot? Who are you and have you done to my Yn?" he teased. "haha," she laughed dryly as she threw her pillow at the boy. Catching it in his hand, he smiled as he looked down at the object in his lap. His smile broke as he cleared his throat "Hey sunflower?" Yn hums in response as she turns right side up to look at him. Isaac struggles to find the words as he looks at his best friend. "Do you...um.." he tilts his head and laughs nervously. "Do you promise we'll always be friends? Like best friends and not the type of friends that are like 'yeah we're friends... okay ow.." he reacts when his rambling was cut off by another pillow being thrown at him "Of course we'll always be best friends Lahey. You can never get rid of me" she teased as she walked over to him. "You could get rid of me though" He sighs sadly. Yn shakes her head "Never in a million years Lahey. Cmon, let's go get something to eat. "Hey Lahey...Lahey I'm talking to you" Yn yells as she tries to catch up with the now confident boy. "Are you deaf?" she joked, not believing the week that she's been through with him.
He continued to walk away until she grabbed on his leather jacket and yanked him into an empty classroom.
"Isaac, what's wrong with you? You're completely different. I've been calling and texting. You haven't answered. Why are you hanging out with Erica? Is she your new girlfriend? No hate just hurt you didn't tell me you liked her. Also, why are you hanging out with Derek Hale? He's like 20 something... oh my god he has you selling drugs doesn't"
Isaac slammed his hands on the table to stop her rambling causing her to flinch. Looking down at the table, he refused to meet her eyes and curled up his fists.
"I'm not dating Erica and Derek isn't a drug dealer. Stay away from me Yn... I find you annoying and obnoxious" he snarled, not daring to look her in the eyes.
"I find you annoying too but" Yn joked but Isaac groaned "No you're so fucking annoying. You never shut up. I don't want to be your friend anymore."
Stepping back from him, she watched her former best friend as he stormed away.
Broken-hearted, Yn stared off until Isaac turned the corner and disappeared from her view.
Later that night Yn decided she wasn't going to let her best friend go. She knew it was stupid to walk in the woods by herself at night but she had to get her best friend back.
Lost in her thoughts she didn't notice the crunching of leaves behind her.
Growls stopped her thoughts and frozen in fear, Yn swallowed as she didn't dare to look over.
"Fuck..."
Everything happened in a flash all she remembered from that night was his golden eyes.
Weeks past and Yn noticed more strange behavior from everyone around her.
Her new friend's antsy behavior around the full moon and wolfs howling at night.
Yn spent those nights researching and questioning everything. Until she stumbled about a website. Tales Of The Moon
Staying up till the sun rises, she finally figured out everything. All the things she grew up thinking were tales weren't.
Her best friend is a werewolf.
Later that week, she cornered her former friend in the classroom. "Say it's not true..." she swallows her fear. Isaac avoids her eyes "I have no idea what you're talking about"
"You're lying. I know you're a werewolf Lahey" she whispered. He watched her and opened his mouth like a fish out of water.
"Please don't be scared of me...I'm still the same Isaac" He whispered. Yn scoffed "Yeah right, the old Isaac would never ignore me even if he was a werewolf"
"I had to ignore you. It was to protect you" He walked closer to her. Gently putting his hands on her face, he watched her expression.
"I hate myself for hurting you. It was what I was trying to avoid doing. Please forgive me..."
Yn stared into his eyes "Derek bit you, Erica, and Boyd didn't he?". Nodding at her question, Isaac sighed heavily as he rested his forehead on hers.
"I'll forgive you...if you promise not to keep me in the dark anymore" she whispers. Isaac's face broke into a smile as he nodded happily.
Giggling at his reaction, Yn pulled him into a hug. "I have one question though?"
"Anything"
"Do you gather as a group and howl at the moon?"

Dove- Daniel Sharman x Plus-size!reader
Tumblr media
Note: omg my prayers have been answered a request 😭. I’ll write both but I’ll need to think of another plot for Isaac unless you want me to use the same one. Thank you so much for requesting 🤍/// Your nickname is Dove but I also used YN
Friday afternoons were usually date nights for Daniel and you. Today wasn't any different as Daniel sat on a couch patiently outside of the dressing room waiting for you to show him what you picked. You really enjoyed shopping but it has always been a bit of a struggle since you have a curvier figure than most women.
It made finding clothes a bit of a struggle. If it wasn’t one thing it was another. Sometimes, the pants fit just right at the top but were too long at the bottom, or sometimes it was the other way around. You were used to this frustrating search of finding the perfect pants but sometimes it got to you.
After trying on what seemed like the millionth pair of pants your eyes began to burn from tears you were trying to hold back from being frustrated from not finding that one pair of jeans that fit nicely. Not wanting to cry over something like this and worry Daniel outside, you attempted to try and control your breathing.
Daniel felt like you were taking a long time and decided to go check on you to see if you were okay. Getting up from where he was sitting he walked to your dressing room before he could say anything he heard sniffles.
He felt his heartbreak listening to you cry. He knew you had always struggled with your own body image. While you had been getting more comfortable in your own body, there were still times when you felt insecure.
“Dove, can you let me in?”, He said gently, knocking on the door. A few seconds pass by with no reply. Daniel rose his hand to knock again but the door slowly opened the door. He quickly walked and closed the door behind him. Daniel saw you looking down at the floor and gently cupped your chin so you'd look at him.
Daniel looked at your red puffy eyes and felt his heartbreak at the sight of your puffy eyes and trembling lip.
He opens his arms without saying a word and you gladly walk into them feeling his warmth. “Tell me what’s going through that pretty little head of yours dove”, he says as he rubs soothing circles down your back. You bury your head into his chest breathing in and out for a few seconds to calm down then take a step back to look up at him.
“I’m just frustrated. None of these jeans fit me. I feel ugly.”, You whispered finally letting the tears run down your cheeks.
“Yn, you are not ugly! Your body is gorgeous”, He says grabbing your face in his hands, “I love you. Your body isn’t the problem, the clothes are.” He kisses tears away from your face. You stay in his arms for a few minutes your sniffles dying down.
“I just felt sad, I’m starting to feel better thanks to you”, you said wiping your tears away,” Okay, I think I’m ready to go look for more jeans”.
“Good, if you need anything I’ll be on the couch just outside your room dove”, He says kissing the top of your head. You smile and nod as he walks out of the room. You took another deep breath and exited the dressing room.
Luck was on your side because after the third pair of jeans you slipped on, it fit perfectly. They were a little long, but not too long so that was fixable.
“Daniel look!”, you called out in excitement. When he looked up from his phone, he let out a whistle. The jeans seem to be made for you, seeing your smile made his heart melt.
“Yn, you look amazing, give me a little twirl”, he stood up and made a twirling motion with his fingers. You did as he asked with a giggle.
“Absolutely breathtaking”, He says as he grabs you bringing you in for a kiss. You giggle and kiss him back. “Come on I’ll buy them for you. We can go home after and watch some movies as we cuddle"
“Oh, you don’t have to”, You say looking up at him. “No, let me, anything for my girl”, he smiles down at you. You gave him a bright smile and nodded.
“Go put your clothes on so we can buy them”, he says spinning you around towards the fitting room and giving your ass a slap
“Daniel!”, you gasp laughing.
“Hey! they make your ass look great" he smirked.
