2:22 - A Ghost Story began in summer 2021 at the Noël Coward Theatre, starring Lily Allen, Julia Chan, Hadley Fraser and Jake Wood, and where it won the WhatsOnStage award for Best Play. It then transferred to the Gielgud Theatre for 10 weeks from 4 December 2021. The production there starring Stephanie Beatriz, James Buckley, Elliot Cowan and Giovanna Fletcher completed its run on 12 February 2022. For the first season at the Criterion (May - September 2022) the cast was Tom Felton, Mandip GIll, Sam Swainsbury and Beatriz Romilly. In late September Laura Whitmore, Matt Willis, Felix Scott and Tamsin Carroll took over.
The box office record-breaking run at the Lyric starring Cheryl, Jake Wood, Scott Karim, and Louise Ford, concluded its run on 23 April. The West End season at the Apollo Theatre starred Sophia Bush, Frankie Bridge, Ricky Champ, Clifford Samuel and Jaime Winstone, and set off on its UK tour in Autumn 2023 with Joe Absolom, Charlene Boyd, Nathaniel Curtis and Louisa Lytton in the cast. Current cast on the UK tour: Vera Chok (Lauren); Jay McGuiness (Ben); George Rainsford (Sam); Fiona Wade (Jenny).
2:22 is written by award-winning writer Danny Robins, creator of the hit BBC podcast The Battersea Poltergeist, and is directed by Matthew Dunster and Isabel Marr; it’s an adrenaline-filled night where secrets emerge and ghosts may or may not appear…
Danny Robins said: ‘I'm really looking forward to seeing how Dublin audiences respond to 2:22 this summer. The tour continues to be a great success and I can't think of a better place to round off the journey in 2024 than here with a brand new cast to be announced soon!'
What do you believe? And do you dare discover the truth?
“THERE’S SOMETHING IN OUR HOUSE. I HEAR IT EVERY NIGHT, AT THE SAME TIME"
Jenny believes her new home is haunted, but her husband Sam isn’t having any of it. They argue with their first dinner guests, old friend Lauren and new partner Ben. Can the dead really walk again? Belief and scepticism clash, but something feels strange and frightening, and that something is getting closer, so they’re going to stay up... until 2:22... and then they’ll know.
2:22 - A Ghost Story features set design by Anna Fleischle, costume design by Cindy Lin, lighting design by Lucy Carter, sound by Ian Dickinson for Autograph Sound and illusions by Chris Fisher. Casting by Matilda James.
2:22 - A Ghost Story is produced by Tristan Baker and Charlie Parsons for Runaway Entertainment, Isobel David and Kater Gordon. [source]

Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham, Tuesday 16th January 2024
Paranormal man of the moment Danny Robins (he of BBC2 Uncanny and podcast fame) has penned this taut little chiller that has met with great success in the West End and is now touring the provinces.
Sam, Jenny and their baby daughter have moved into a house formerly owned by elderly widow Margaret. When Sam goes on a…
I read 14 books in January. How did I read 14 books in January?
I started listening to audiobooks at work, which is great because data entry can be a slog. I also cut into my crafting time because sometimes I just don't feel like pulling a project out.
My Goodreads goal is 48, which is 4 books a month. I can definitely do that! I can't say I'll keep January's energy up the whole year, though. I know we already have a busy February.

Im going to add to and edit this post later. This is something I'm working on on my family tree. This is from my family tree and a section I'm researching right now. Some of the Bennett siblings and some of the Lord siblings ended up as couples. I also grew up in the the church of Christ and I was looking to see if I had a family history of this way back in my family. There isn't much and I'm grasping at straws with this. Sarah Bagby and Joseph Noah Cantrell were my great grandparents. Here is Sarah Bagby's parents and grandparents. I've been to the graves of Joe and Sarah and Bill and Nancy and Nancy parents Bill and Sarah. Sou great grandmother was named after both of her grandmas I was told.

"Webster county state of Missouri. I, William W. Shaver a legal minister of the gospel, did solemnize the rites of matrimony between William S. Bagby and Nancy C. Lord on the 8th day of August 1872.
William W. Shaver
A Minister of the Gospel"
In red is from the real written copy that I saw in online archives but it was blurry when I did a screen shot or the other option made it to small to read so I wrote it out.
You may notice Ws Bagby and Nancy C. Bagby in the church list. They were my 2x great grandparents. I looked at some info for William Wilson Shaver. He was also a minister in the Christian church and a part of the Stone-Campbell/Restoration Movement. My most immediate family subscribes to the church of Christ which is part of the same movement. I never knew where it started. I think this might be a coincidence. This is on my dad's side and actually on his father's side. I never met my grandfather because he passed away before I was born. It was my understanding that he didn't go to church. I know my granny did with us. I know my grandfather's father was a bad person and very mean. It was his wife who was the daughter of Ws Bagby and Nancy Lord.
Also Nancy Lord Bagby's Parents were William (bill) Lord and Sarah J. Bennett. Nancy was the only child ever listed on census records with her parents. I don't have any indication that there were ever more. This feels really unusual for the time but perhaps they couldn't have more.
I noticed that Sarah Lord is in the church list. Bill Lord was also still alive and I don't see him in the church member list. Ws Bagby's Parents were John Bagby and Sarah. I believe that Sarah's Maiden name was Todd and that she was the sister of Thomas Todd...he was the minister of the church members listed above. John and Sarah (Todd) Bagby moved to Texas and we're not here to be in this church. In fact I'm unsure of when they passed away and they may not have been alive at this time... I do not know what church they went to if any. I also can't prove that Sarah was one of the Todds but a lot of the family researchers believe this.
Here is another side note. This appears to be a very tight knit group. I wouldn't expect any less. Below is something on the find a grave site. This is the grave for the daughter of William Shaver who married my 2x great grandparents. You might notice her married name is Isabell Yandle. You might notice this name on the church list of Thomas Todd's church members. Her husband was John W. Yandle according to this site and the photo of the tombstone. I haven't looked for documents to prove this. I don't have any reason to think they are related to me but honestly anyone In this church list could be as tight knit as they were. I'm still looking at the members. I will say a lot of my ancestors and related people are in the New Grove Cemetery.
Wow, that’s all I have to say on his new, 3rd, long-player from Melbourne, Australia’s RVG (Romy Vager Group)’
I’d heard the band’s sophomore effort, Feral, first when it came out a few years ago (then worked my way back to their strong debut). As good as those two records were, Brain Worms tops them with a crystalline production, dazzling performances and flat-out great songs.
Vocalist Romy Vager has a strong, emotive set of pipes, but even those words don’t really do her justice while guitarist Reuben Bloxham is an absolute master, doing both restraint and bluster in equal parts. The rhythm section of drummer Marc Nolte and bassist Isabele Wallace are precise and can be flashy without being showy. The band is tight.
Oh and the songs! Gorgeous opener “Common Ground” leads right into the punchy, soaring “Midnight Sun” where Bloxham’s guitar slashes and burns while Vager shouts “Yeah I know, that talking to you doesn’t work anymore!” and “It’s Not Easy” is another pretty one with some lovely Marr-esque guitar chords.
Later on the title track has Vager laying it all out there “(Now my kids won’t talk to me and my wife is leaving me…”) while the band charges ahead and the slow burn of the great “Squid” is among the best cuts on here as is the brilliant jangle of “Giant Snake.” (the final song ‘Tropic of Cancer” is a superb as well).
This band is currently firing on all cylinders and have really nailed it here. Brain Worms is an emotional, brilliant record by a band at the top of its game. One of my favorites of 2023 so far!

John Gielgud, 1937; Michael Redgrave, 1951; Mark Rylance 2003
Andrew Marr: Your father, Sir Michael Redgrave, gave one of the great historic performances of Richard II at the festival of Britain in 1951. What was so special about that?
Corin Redgrave: About his performance it was partly an inheritance of a performance that he admired and he loved by Gielgud. So there was an extraordinary continuity between his performance and Gielgud’s performance and probably performances that Gielgud had seen as well. He had an a wonderful ability to interpret the play through the music of his voice and the music of the text which is a wonderful thing in Richard II. As I remember it, I was only 11 at the time…he was able to bring to it some of the perils of bisexuality. Richard in this play is clearly devoted to his wife, Queen Isabel, but he is also surrounded by favorites. And that word “Favorites'' is a highly loaded word: Bushy, Bagot and Green.
Marr: And we’ll see Mark Rylance in this production play with that. We’re never entirely sure which way he swings.
Corin: That was possibly a new thing in its time, how much of that I caught, I don’t know. I was in love with it. I caught it five nights in a row. I went away and memorized the play. This is the play that made me fall in love with Shakespeare.
Rules! Choose 22 books you want to read or goals you want to achieve in 2022. That’s it! It can be a mix of books and goals, or 22 books, or 22 goals…. it’s up to you. Then tag some friends to play along.
According to a study by German researchers, horses tend to shift their laterality, becoming more “left-legged” and “left-eyed,” in stressful situations.
This switch to right-brain processing suggests horses are confronting challenges that are usually managed by the brain hemisphere that deals with emotions, the researchers said. When the horses adjust to the stressor and learn to cope, they tend to revert back to left-brain hemisphere processing, which deals with routine.
Observing changes in laterality could be an effective way to monitor how horses are dealing with management or training changes, for example, said Isabell Marr, PhD candidate under the guidance of Konstanze Krueger, PhD, of the University of Regensburg in Germany. Marr studies at the Department of Equine Economics at Nuertingen-Geislingen University in Nuertingen and the Department of Behavioral Physiology of Livestock at the University of Hohenheim, in Stuttgart, Germany.
