each one of us fear being left on our own without any support & guidance as a child, we fear not being able to survive on our own. As we grow up, such fears get buried. But for E6 kids such fears still persist & make their way into adulthood. They tend to be extremely anxious about their parents abandoning them as a child. When children are learning to gradually become more independent of their mother figures, a strong presence of father figure is needed to facilitate the process & play some specific roles to make the child grow into an adult effectively. Even though lack of a strong presence of a father figure affects all of us , for E6 kid it affects them more than any other types. They are often overwhelmed by the presence of their mother figure so they try to form an alliance with their father figure but that seldom works because the father figure tend to be either too disinterested or too authoritarian, controlling. It's possible the E6 kid lacked strong presence of father figure so they wanted to feel supported and validated by the mother figure while defending against the overwhelming feeling about their mother figure. Which results into deep fear, anxiety , ambivalent feelings about trust , nurturing, also it instills the feeling of needing to keep their guards up. It's possible e6 kid had to live with inconsistent, unreliable, untrustworthy, unpredictable caretakers who made them feel like the world is a dangerous place & their caretakers can't protect them. That led the kid to become master at scanning the details of their environment to spot anything that can be potentially negative or dangerous. They become equipped to pick up the smallest, subtle cues that signal threat. Their ambivalence towards their relationship with their caretakers & the world make it necessary for them to compromise where they become someone who is outwardly obedient but inwardly a cynic & rebellious who maintains their independence, someone with many dualistic traits.

I love when people tell me I look like Brooke Shields. It cannot be put to words how beautiful she is. She just has this glow to her that can't be explained.

Therapist: You mentioned you feel like you don't have enough time in a day to accomplish what you need to. I have a few ideas, but what do you think you can do to improve your time management?
ISFJ: Maybe if I cry while standing above my plants I can simultaneously water them as well as vent emotionally...?
Therapist, furiously scribbling notes: ...that,, -let's circle back to this in a moment

IxFJ explanation
[Plain text: IxFJ explanation]
IxFJ, IXFJ, I_FJ, or “The Knight”, is a personality type unrecognized by MBTI, due to MBTI's entire “superior—inferior functions” way of categorization.
An IxFJ would be someone who is both INFJ and ISFJ, which essentially means they have no superior function between sensing and intuitiveness.
Let's get more into how this would affect the personality.
ISFJs and INFJs are quite similar but one of their primary similarities is that both types seem to balance thinking and feeling.
Now, let's get into some of the differences. ISFJs are very down-to-earth and tend to have a fairly pragmatic view, they tend to have less idealistic thoughts and are often more pessimistic than INFJs due to this fact. INFJs, in contrast, are more idealistic and tend to have their head in the clouds. Another important difference between ISFJs and INFJs is that ISFJs are detail-oriented and can often get so lost in details that they fail to see the full picture. Whereas INFJs are the opposite, they see the full picture and tend to miss important details.
Taking all of this into consideration.. IxFJs are rather complex individuals. Here is a basic description followed by common traits that IxFJs may have.
IxFJ — The Knight.
IxFJs are dependable and compassionate “Knights” whose values are improvement and cooperation. They are sensitive and empathetic to others' feelings, finding an instinctual need to protect those around them from harm. They tend to remember important events in close friends' lives such as anniversaries, birthdays, and other occasions. They have a tendency to be perfectionistic, security-oriented, somewhat traditional, and lawful. They tend to prefer practicality over theoretical ideas, but theoretical ideas can be intriguing to them if backed up with what seems to be fair knowledge. They have a strong desire for self improvement and improvement for those they see fault in.
Common traits for the IxFJ:
Organized in a way which seems messy to others, practical but open to thoroughly analyzed ideals, pragmatic, disconnected and often lost in their own head, empathetic, complex, kind-hearted, nurturing, a good listener, reliable, somewhat traditional, observant, giving, loyal, protective, tend to be stuck in the present, wise, insightful, mysterious, compassionate, understanding, parental, punctual, can appear bossy and opinionated yet also a people pleaser simultaneously, usually have low self esteem, perfectionistic, dislike conflict and confrontation, tend to reminisce on their own mistakes, stubborn, resistant to change, weak boundaries, weak sense of self, doubtful that they're living up to their full potential, may overindulge in situations that can harm them, too self-sacrificial, often focus on others rather than themself, apologetic, have a warrior-like superior aura, justice-oriented.
Another addition to this: IxFJs tend to also exhibit common traits of ENTPs (debaters) and INTJs (architects) due to the clash in INFJ functions and ISFJ functions, along with functions that separately come with this type.
Good career paths for the IxFJ would include anything in these areas:
Performing arts, psychology, medical (nursing, doctor, etc), the sciences, education/teaching/mentoring, entrepreneurship.

Enneagram 1s in childhood tried hard to be a good kid, they understood that adults expect a lot from them, they are often The Hero , The golden child of the family. Simply being a mere child was not enough for them so they started taking on responsibilities that were better suited for adults and became too serious, mature for their age. As as a kid they may felt like they weren't doing "enough" & often felt very pressured to perform/do what adults expect them to do. The kid learned to exercise extreme self control and understood the dangers of following sudden impulses very early in life. Mostly, there weren't much acknowledgement of their goodness from the adults.
The frustration, resentment that the kid will be experiencing because of early responsibilities, having to exercise extreme self control, the pressure to perform will be denied, invalidated by themselves.
Its likely that they lacked the connection, bonding with the "father figure" ( it can be any "protective adult figure" doesn't always have to be the "father figure") where the "adult figure" somehow failed to provide them the sense of dependability, security in adequate amount. As a result the kids felt the need to "father" themselves. They wanted to become their own moral guide, make rules for themselves, police & punish themselves so that no one else would , they wanted to decide themselves what's wrong and what's right-- these are the ways they followed to decrease their dependence on adult figures and increase their autonomy. Even as a kid they might have felt obligated to fix their chaotic household and bring structure & stability to it.
A E1 kid will surpass your expectations, they will adhere to the rules so well & do things so correctly that you won't be able able to find a fault or error.
A E1 kid they will quickly learn that there is one "true" right way of doing things and their quest for finding out their "own" true right way will begin very early, the kid will always want to find out how they can do the things in a "better" more "perfect" way and may end up criticizing , judging, rejecting the "adult figure" 's methods. The kid will often feel guilty for criticizing the adults, in order to deal with the guilt they will start to build their identity around seeing themselves as more "mature" "responsible" "good" compared to people around them.
