I, I don’t hate anyone
I don’t hate anyone
Not even you
This, this dream we’ve been riding on
The emperor’s clothes that he don
For the world to see through
4316 and the world is a mess
I gave my worst and I gave you my best
4316 and am talking to you
The old world has ended
What are we gonna do?
Hey, give me something to laugh about
Rip it up, let it out
There’s nothing new
You gave me something to smile about
Plenty to think and doubt
Something to do
4316 and your life is a mess
You gave your worst and you gave me your best
4316 and am talking to you
The emperor is naked
What are you gonna do?
I, I need to get away
I need a holiday
That much is true
I, I love to appreciate
Imagine and co-create
And so do you
4316 and your life is a mess
I gave you my worst and I gave you my best
4316 and am talking to you
The world has ended
What are we gonna do?

One thing I love about my VIP membership at Joyful Noise Recordings is that each week they make available an LP from the catalogue for only $5. Last week it was the Jad Fair & Norman Blake LP "Yes". This LP was originally released back in 2014. I'm still adjusting to Jad Fair's voice, but this album's music and guests are so good. Norman Blake, Duglas Stewart, Isobel Campbell, Bill Wells and Stuart Kidd are all Glasgow based musicians who add to this LP. Bill Wells, Norman Blake and Isobel Campbell get writing credit as well.
I've also landed LPs from Busman's Holiday and Eerie Wanda from the $5 LP offer. Jad Fair currently lives near Austin, Texas.
