SO not to drag on a convo from last week but I was listening to Stacy’s beautiful monster and apparently ppl???? Don’t like it???? And I THINK beautiful monster follows the same pattern as ready to love concerning mediocre/whatever mvs making fans think a song isn’t good???? Idk if you’ve listened to the song but it’s a wonderful one and I actually really enjoyed it and didn’t realize ppl didn’t like it???? BUT yeah someone was like “it’s the only bad stayc song” and I was like. This is not correct. - dokcheol <3
omg i get to talk more!!
ok so I'll be the first to admit that i have almost no ability to tell what makes a good mv and what makes a bad mv, i think it's mostly due to indifference since i've never been a big music video person. I had also never seen the beautiful monster mv till right now but honestly i feel like it's not that bad?? Like ready to love I get, even I could tell it's awkward and just like not shot very well?? (Don't get me started on the filter on it WHY ARE WE ASH GREY RN???) but beautiful monster looks normal to me idk. The drawings are cute and the filter isn't THAT annoying. I also don't get why everyone hates that song. Is it the best song I've ever heard? no, but it was fun and completely passable.

**AUTHOR’S NOTE**
Here’s request number 5! Enjoy!
__________________________________________________________
May 12th, the day that was chosen to be your debut day. It was a cute way to signify the unification of the number 8, 5+1+2 from adding the numbers from the month and day. This was important because it also signified BTS going from OT7 to OT8, you suddenly being incorporated into the group. In addition, you were the first and only girl to be a part of the group as well as the current and only standing female idol under Big Hit Label. You were going in carrying quite a bit on your shoulders and nothing had even been made publicly yet.
Of course you had to undergo quite a bit of mental and physical prep. Were you going to meet the standards of the public eye? Could you keep up with a group of individuals who had been in the game for 7+ years? Did you have an alternative motive? Why not join your own girl group or, better yet, go solo? Were you piggybacking off of their hard own success? Were you even talented enough to be by their side? Why them? And most importantly, would ARMY, arguable the most loyal and dedicated fanbase in the world, even accept you as an official member?
It scared you and excited you. You were about to do something that would quite honestly shock the entire world, stirring both negative and maybe positive feedback. It would definitely interfere with stocks, partnerships, sponsorships, and other important dealings that involved the company and the group as a whole. However, despite  the “what if’s”, you couldn’t have asked for a better support system. And that was the boys themselves, your new found brothers.
You were barely a full year younger than Jungkook and you instantly became their little flower because of that. They pampered, coddled, babied, and swooned over you almost every day. Especially if you did anything cute or adorable unintentionally. That was a big part of your charm actually. You were well mannered, kind, caring, soft spoken, and passionate. You put in 110% every time not because you felt obligated to but because that’s just who you were. You managed to integrate perfectly with their humor and their mannerisms. In fact, they felt weird not feeling weird having you incorporated so easily into their lives.
“Good morning~!” you softly spoke out to the members in the kitchen.
“Baby Bird!” Jimin squealed, rushing to you to play with your soft cheeks.
“Did you get enough sleep?” Namjoon asked, greeting you with that infamous dimpled smile.
“Mhm! Mwore swo than uwshual.” you managed to get out with a cute smile.
“Yah! Jimin, let her breathe and stop messing with her cheeks.” Jin scolded with a light chuckle.
“But hyung! Look at her cute chubby cheeks!”
Jin caved in and too participated in playing with your unusually chubby cheeks. You had reddened out of embarrassment but was delighted to see their happy faces.
“Wah! Your cheeks are soft and cute!” Jin agreed delightfully.
“Guys, leave her alone.” Namjoon laughed loudly.
Shuffling lazily from behind was a very tired looking Yoongi who skated by your group as if nothing was happening at all. You caught sight of him and smiled. You had found that Yoongi immediately took you under his wing, having quite a fondness for your desires to write lyrics and produce music of your own. You were a quick learner and a very creative person. In fact, you’ve already contributed quite a bit even before the company made the fated announcement about your addition to the group. Of course, your reveal was tomorrow night on Vlive but Yoongi, as well as the others, have made dealing with the uproar bearable.
“Mworning Yhoongwi!” you happily chirped.
The way you said his name made everyone burst into laughter. Not even Yoongi could hide his little gummy smile from how cute you sounded. Yeah, it wasn’t hard at all to fit in. But could you say the same about ARMY? The following day approached rather quickly and the staff had got you prepped for tonight’s big live stream. There was a meeting beforehand involving all of you to lay down some ground rules and potential expectations.
“Don’t worry Y/n.” Taehyung told you.
“I can promise you with all my heart that they’re going to love you.”
“You’re a part of us now, we’re family! ARMY will surely love you. How could they not? Look at these cute little cheeks.” Jungkook cooed, laughing at how easily they loved to tease you.
“Do you really think so?” you asked hesitantly, allowing the teasing to slide due to your fears bubbling up.
“Of course little one! Please trust in our fans.” Taehyung offered.
You smiled up at the two and nodded your head in acceptance, holding onto faith as you all filed into the room to get seated. You sat in between Hoseok and Namjoon while the staff began to set up the camera. You were fiddling with the end of your shirt and Hoseok noticed the nervous tick. He reached out to wordlessly grab for your hand, easing your anxiety in the process. You turned to him with sincerity in your eyes, mouthing a thank you in response. He offered back his charming heart shaped smile before each of you turned your attention to the staff counting down.

When it went live you had never seen so many comments appear in one go. In fact the numbers skyrocketed within the first few seconds. You were in awe and you accidentally made that known.
“Wow, the numbers are going so high up. That’s amazing.” you said loud enough for all to hear.
The guys giggled, forgetting that you’ve never been on the receiving end of doing a vlive. The comments went wild, Taehyung proudly reading off the words that stuck out to him.
“Wow! She’s so pretty.”
“So cute~”
“She looks so much younger than I thought!”
“Her voice is so sweet!”
“She’s so smol compared to them ToT”
“Jimin and her are smol baby twins!!”
“Her eyes are super pretty!”
“She reminds me of a little kid lol.”
“She’s younger than them right?”
“That means Kookie is officially not the youngest member in the group!”
“I can’t wait to hear her sing and dance!”
“She about to add a whole new flavor to this group.”
“Imagine the crazy vocal range they just added!”
The comments went on like this the entire time. You were overwhelmed by the crazy amount of support and you haven’t even had a chance to prove yourself yet. Most of the time the questions were directed at you. You did the typical introduction and listed off as many things about yourself as you could think of. This was followed by answering the questions that you could see before they flew by super fast.
“I feel like we’re not even here.” Yoongi let out.
“I know right! I feel ignored.” Hoseok agreed laughing.
“That’s okay, at least they love her.” Namjoon happily smiled.
“It’s cute seeing her so happy.” Jimin cooed.
“I knew ARMY would love her. How could they not?” Taehyung asked.
“She worries too much. The more she interacts with them the quicker they’ll warm up to her. All she has to do is stay true to herself.” Jin added on.
“I’m so glad she’s part of us now.” Jungkook chimed in.
“Yeah, we all are.” Namjoon agreed.

Courtney going on tour right after?
Theres a misconception that after Kurts death, Courtney went straight on tour right away. This is false. The album was already set to release a few days after and they couldnt change that on such a short notice. Promotion for the album was cancelled and she pushed back the tour 4 months.
“Live Through This was supposed to provide Love an opportunity to step out from her famous husband’s shadow. “It’s annoying now, and it’s been annoying for nine years, Love said in a 1999 Jane Magazine interview of always being connected to Cobain. Released four days after Cobain’s body was found, the album’s promotion was put on hold. Rather than retreat from the public eye, Love openly mourned and helped fans of Cobain and Nirvana make sense of the singer’s death. She sat with grieving teenagers gathered outside the couple’s Seattle home and recorded a reading of parts of his suicide note that was played at the singer’s memorial that gathered near the Space Needle. In the days following his death, Love showed a very raw and emotional side and admitted that, like many fans, she didn’t have all the answers.
It was, and still is, impossible for people to discuss Live Through This without noting the irony of the album’s title. Love has said the name was not a prediction at all, but instead a reflection of all she had endured in the months leading up to its release, including a very public custody fight with the Los Angeles Department of Family Services over daughter Frances Bean. Rumors suggested that Cobain had written much of Live Through This (it’s Miss World, not Mister, just FYI). “I’d be proud as hell to say that he wrote something on it, but I wouldn’t let him. It was too Yoko for me. It’s like, ‘No fucking way, man! I’ve got a good band, I don’t fucking need your help,’” was Love’s response to critics in Spin’s oral history of Live Through This. Love and Cobain often shared notebooks and lyrics with each other, and while there is talk of Cobain’s influence on Love’s work, or the writing of all of it, less is mentioned in the press of her impact on his lyrics and music. Rather than sucking all the life out of Nirvana or threatening the success of the band, like many assumed she would do, she inspired Cobain. Fun fact: In Utero, Nirvana’s last album, was named after a line from one of Love’s poems.
Sadly, songwriting rumors would be replaced by other rumors. Women are often vilified and condemned for the deaths of their male partners. Love, like all women, was supposed to save her partner from death and addiction. Fans of Cobain projected all their anger and resentment over the loss of the Nirvana front man onto Love, and soon she was blamed for not only his addiction but also his death. There are even two movies devoted to the theory that Courtney killed Kurt: the awful Soaked in Bleach (2015) and the equally awful Kurt & Courtney (1998). If you think we’ve come a long way, baby, sadly we haven’t.
One year after Anthony Bourdain’s death, Asia Argento is still being blamed, and in September 2018, Ariana Grande had to take a break from social media after fans blamed her for the death of her ex Mac Miller. A few months later, she would be blamed for new beau Pete Davidson’s mental health and addiction issues. It’s amazing she finds the time to write hit songs what with all the dude destruction she has going on. When women are not being blamed for the deaths of the men in their lives, they are being attacked for not grieving properly. “She wasn’t crying. She’s got $30 million coming to her. Do you blame her for being so cool?” a hospital staffer said of Yoko Ono following John Lennon’s murder in 1980.
About four months after Cobain’s death, Love went on tour to promote her new album. Some questioned and judged why she would go on tour so soon, but Love has said it was a necessity. She had a young daughter to support. She needed to work. She also, sadly, still needed to prove herself. “I would like to think that I’m not getting the sympathy vote, and the only way to do that is to prove that what I’ve got is real,” Love told Rolling Stone in 1994.
Twenty-five years later, Cobain’s death still hangs over Live Through This. In the days leading up to the anniversary of Cobain’s death, former Hole bassist Melissa Auf der Maur wrote an open letter to music magazine Kerrang saying she “would not stand for Kurt’s death overshadowing the life and work of the women he left behind this year.”
“We were extremely well designed for each other,” Love has said of her relationship with Cobain. In a letter reprinted in Dirty Blonde: The Diaries of Courtney Love, she calls him “my everything. the top half on my fraction.” The two had similar upbringings, both came from broken homes and spent childhoods shuttling between relatives and friends. They both grew up longing for love and acceptance. When we tell the story of Kurt and Courtney we talk about drugs and destruction, but we don’t talk enough about love.
The two also shared an intense drive and ambition. “I didn’t want to marry a rock star, I wanted to be one,” Love said in a 1992 Sassy interview. Evidence of her drive can be found in the many notes and to-do lists she kept, some of which are collected in Dirty Blonde. There are reminders to send her acting résumé to agencies, to write three to four new songs a week, to “achieve L.A. visibility.” A scene in the documentary Kurt & Courtney features an ex of Love’s reading from one of her to-do lists, which has “become friends with Michael Stipe” as the number one task to complete (not only did Love do this, but he is her daughter’s godfather). This ambition is not surprising from a woman who, when she was younger, mailed a tape of herself singing to Neil Sedaka in hopes of getting signed. Love knew what she wanted at an early age, and what she wanted was fame.
She was certainly living by the “do not hurt yourself, destroy yourself, mangle yourself to get the football captain. Be the football captain!” motto she championed in the 1995 documentary Not Bad for a Girl. Ambition is often a dirty word when it is used to describe women and Love is no exception. She has been repeatedly described as calculating and controlling when she should be rewarded for her blond ambition and viewed as an inspiration. Critics and the press often call her a gold digger who only married Cobain for fame and money. They fail to mention that when the two met Pretty on the Inside was actually selling more copies than Bleach, Nirvana’s debut album. Even post-Kurt, Love’s intentions were always under scrutiny. On the Today Show to do press for The People vs. Larry Flynt, Love refused to talk about her past drug use, despite the host’s repeated questions, saying the topic was not an appropriate fit for the show’s demographic. She was right, but it didn’t stop a writer from describing the move as “calculating” in a 1998 Spin piece.
Cobain was ambitious too; he was just much slyer and more secretive about it. He was known to call his manager and complain when MTV didn’t play Nirvana’s videos enough, and he would correct journalists who misquoted the band’s sales figures in interviews. While success is typically celebrated and rewarded for men and it certainly was for Cobain, he also had to be mindful of the slacker generation that loved Nirvana and greeted success — and especially mainstream success —
While female celebrities like Love are criticized for their rebellion, male celebrities, like Cobain for example, are celebrated and mythologized for it. Cobain and Love both struggled with addiction, but it is Love who is repeatedly vilified for her drug use. “She was vilified for being a mess, for being a drug addict, for not being a great parent — in other words, all of the things we expect in a male rock star,” said Bust magazine in a piece in the magazine’s 20th anniversary issue, which featured Love on the cover.
We make jokes about the drug antics of male celebrities from Keith Richards to Charlie Sheen, idolizing their debauchery and depravity. The new Netflix/Lifetime movie by Jack Daniels, The Dirt, about Mötley Crüe, takes the band’s excesses to almost comic levels. Check out crazy tourmate Ozzy Osbourne snorting a line of ants by a hotel pool! Such zany antics! I would love to see Lindsay Lohan try to get away with that. We never allow women to live down their arrests and their addictions, but we repeatedly allow men to have a redemption arc. Robert Downey Jr. was in and out of jail and on and off drugs for much of the mid to late ’90s, but we rarely, if ever, talk about his past.
When Love isn’t being attacked for her addiction issues, she is being judged for her parenting. Love’s first unflattering press was “Strange Love,” the much publicized 1992 Vanity Fair profile by Lynn Hirschberg. While the piece talks at length about Love’s drug use and constantly questions her parenting ability, it doesn’t paint Cobain in the same light. “It is appalling to think that she would be taking drugs when she knew she was pregnant,” says one close friend in the piece. Hirschberg relies on many unnamed sources and focuses often on the tabloid-like aspects of Love’s life and addictions. “Courtney has a long history with drugs. She loves Percodans (‘They make me vacuum’), and has dabbled with heroin off and on since she was eighteen, once even snorting it in Room 101 of the Chelsea Hotel, where Nancy Spungen died,” she writes. “Reportedly, Kurt didn’t do much more than drink until he met Courtney.” (Even when it is reported by Kurt and Krist that Kurt tried heroin in 1989, way before Courtney, It was also known that he smoked weed and used caugh syrup to get high in 1989 and 1990.)
This double standard was common in coverage of the couple. In Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, the 2015 documentary by Brett Morgen, Love asks her husband, “Why does everyone think you’re the good one and I’m the bad one?” Later in the film we see a scene of Frances Bean’s first haircut. The child sits on Cobain’s lap while Love searches for a comb and scissors. The camera shows Cobain nodding off, and while he maintains that he is just tired, it’s clear he’s not. The scene is painful to watch, especially because those around Cobain carry on like nothing in wrong, giving the feeling this is just like any other day in the Love-Cobain household. The scene is a reminder of how the press treated Cobain’s addiction when he was alive. They just carried on like nothing was wrong, instead directing all their judgement at Love.

Acting with Kim Seon Ho
I might come up with a full fic of the drama.
You started out as a idol trainee but never debuted but became an actress instead. Although you are not very young, korean age 29 and Seon Ho is 35. You didn’t star in many dramas and was not as popular as names like suzy and park shin hye. In this sense, you are alot like Kim Seon Ho before he hit it big with Start Up.
You did not grow up in korea and speak better in english than korean. You’re friends with the korean-american celeb community like BM, Jessi, Eric. Your best friend is Blackpink’s Rose because you guys met during trainee days as a music school and later reconnected at a private Tiffany&Co event.
You are under Starship ent which is a fairly big company with actors like Lee dongwook so your skills isn’t too far off and in general you land in scripts and channels that are not too bad.
You got an offer from the writer who wrote Crash Landing On You and upon reading script and much discussion with the company, you decided to take this up.
You learn that the production team is trying their best to get Kim Seon Ho to be the male lead and you felt honoured and at the same time pressured. You really wished to have him as your partner in this drama because you knew that he was talented, but you also wanted to keep your hopes low because you knew that he was booked left right centre and he has many scripts and projects flooding in.
The storyline of the drama was also one reason why you kept your hopes low.
The drama centers around the female (which is your role) whose husband requested for a divorce as he fell in love with a co-worker who is a headstrong career woman. The female lead tries to salvage her marriage by entering into the company that her husband and his mistress works in and struggles her way into the workforce after being a housewife for 10 years.
The truth is, you were deliberating very hard as to whether this role was suitable for you as it is quite a leap from the usual roles and it might change the image that you have in the public eyes. For the male lead, this change is an even bigger risk and now that Seon ho is getting more popular, you were pretty sure there’s 60% chance he would reject the offer so as to keep his image.
But the script was interesting as it portrayed third party and affairs in a different light and the characters were complex so this would take your acting skills to a new level. With that, you decided to take on the challenge despite the risk that you might not be offered dramas in future that were of younger romantic comedy genre since you will be remembered as an actress that played mum and divorcee.
To your surprise, Seon ho took on the role as well. And the reason you heard of is that he felt that the script is compelling and he wanted to challenge himself in a new role.
The other female actress who will play the role of the third party is Son Na eun of Apink and you thought that she was a good fit for the role too.
The day of drama reading, Seon ho was the last to arrive and he was so apologetic about it. He was polite and greeted everybody with his big dimple smile. It was his first time meeting you and Naeun so the 3 of you were quite awkward and unfamiliar.
When filming officially started, you were so busy preparing and translating your lines and practicing them that you felt very pressured. As the drama was produced by the team behind the hit success Crash Landing and also featuring the current hot actor Kim seon ho, it was also highly anticipated and everyone was looking forward to the drama to air.
The filming process was also tiring as the tone of the drama is quite serious and sad compared to a light-hearted love drama or comedy. But to your surprise the filming was quite enjoyable mainly because seon ho is very easy to work with and also very professional.
Even though he must have been very tired as the shoot is often in between his other projects like 2 Days 1 Night and his other pictorials and advertisement shoots, he rarely screws up his part and came prepared with his lines so there won’t many retakes. He is also very bubbly and cheerful, making the filming atmosphere livelier and friendlier.
The chemistry between you and him hit off better than expected as well. You enjoyed his sometimes awkward jokes, you could follow up with this ad-libs and both of you saw eye-to-eye when it comes to how the both of you should act certain scenes to bring out certain message or emotions.
You usually speak to your staff and manager in english which would leave the total korean boy seon ho in awe. And you always joke that the hardest part about this drama is that you have to pretend that you dont understand english as you are supposed to play the role of a clueless housewife who became an intern in a top company. And Naeun who doesn’t understand english has to play the role of your manager who is capable and good at presentations and reports in english.
When the drama air, the public had good response and the chemistry between you and seon ho became recognised just as how people were speculating that Hyun Bin and Son Ye jin are definitely dating.
The both of you were not at the dating stage yet because seon ho is so busy. And his personality is so friendly that he usually maintain a very amicable relationship with everybody so you established that the both of you are just very good colleagues that managed to become friends outside of work.
To your surprise, seon ho called you one day - “chae young ahhh” he repeated and emphasized “chae young” a few times which was not your real name but the name of your character in the drama so you kind of had the sense to reply “oh yeobo”, which absolutely pleased him. Turns out it was a call from seon ho while filming 2 days 1 night. He was on a mission and he had to prove that he wasn’t lying when he said on the show that the both of you had good chemistry so choosing you to call to help him in the mission is the best person. You had to make a guess of the option his group chose in order for them to pass and be given lunch. The way you answered the call has already made a great impression to the team and the 2d1n members were all impressed by the chemistry you had with seon ho. You also passed the game round and they were saying that you should drop by the show as a guest as the next week, they will have to bring a female guest who are also their good friend to help them in the episode.
Your company is rather particular about their artistes appearing on variety shows and it’s only after they screened the other female guests and realised that the rest are mostly comedians, that they allowed you to be on the show and the instruction was that you have to maintain your image.
It was easy as the members and everyone in the team treated you like a princess in comparison to the 2 female comedians so as to make the show funnier. And seon ho especially took care of you as well even outside of the filming.
He introduced you to the actor yeon jung hoon who was on the show and in between breaks you were able to consult him about some concerns that you have, especially since you are juggling 2 dramas.
Towards the halfway mark of the drama filming with seon ho, you were offered another drama, a love story drama with a younger actor this time Seo Kang Joon. As the new drama is a typical courtship and love story drama, you were afraid that the way you act might not be able to draw a difference that well that the audience will be able to see the shadow of the divorced wife character that you are playing in the other drama.
Jung hoon adviced that every role will have some kind of resemblance because it all came from you. It’s impossible to always present a totally original and fresh character without some resemblance here and there. But maybe if we see the resemblance as the actor’s style and essence, then you wouldnt feel so pressured to draw the distinction between all the roles that you act in.
This scene was aired on 2d1n and it helped the public to see your professionalism and seriousness that you have towards acting.
You also helped the team by giving a call to Blackpink’s Rose. Rose answered the call with “heyyy what’s up” which excited the members even more as they didn’t expect the both of you to use english as main form of communication.
You were also good friends with Park Yuna who got famous from her role in Sky Castle and she also played the role of Bo young who is your sister in the drama with seon ho. Yuna was also an idol trainee previously which is why the both of you clicked so fast.
The drama with Seo Kang Joon was a success too but of course both dramas did not do as well as Start-Up and Crash Landing but in your terms it was successful as people were talking about it and it was the more popular dramas among the rest that were airing as well.
The chemistry between you and seon ho stood out even more as nobody really talked about seo kang joon and you having chemistry in that way.
Very quickly, you were offered a movie role and the male lead they were offering it to kim seon ho again. This time, the storyline was less sad as it was about a man and woman who took a break from their current life and went to Jeju island as an escape, met and fell in love there. Seon ho’s character broke up with his long-term girlfriend while your character left her job after being there for 8 years. And the both of you met in Jeju.
Many people were speculating if the both of you were dating, especially since dispatch released pictures of the both of you coming out of a convenience store together on your off days. And when your agency checked with you, you said no because technically seon ho has never officially asked you out. But somehow you felt a little bitter when you heard from your management that seon ho’s side has also denied the dating rumours.
But netizens were quite supportive especially because the pictures taken were candid shots of how the both of you played with each other. Seon ho offered to hold your plastic bag but you lifted it like how you would lift dumbbells to joke with him that you didnt need his help and he was laughing so hard. Most comments that people have after seeing the pictures is that the both of you are so cute and pure.
But because the pictures were exposed by dispatch, it made you and seon ho a little uncomfortable in front of public setting. Like the both of you had to attend the movie premiere and it was awkward to be standing together in front of the reporters and cameras as the both of you know that everyone in the room has seen the pictures and may or may not ask about your relationship status. You are not sure if it’s even more uncomfortable if they dont talk about the white elephant in the room. But the both of you were obviously less chummy that day, keeping a distance and avoiding eye contact as much as possible. Which led to people speculating that the rumours has caused you guys to break up.
But you were still in contact with each other in private, just that you two did not meet in person since then. It was after few months that the both of you met again and it was at drama awards. It felt less uncomfortable and awkward maybe because the both of you were more overwhelmed by the excitement of seeing each other again after so long that you two didn’t really care whether people will ask if you guys are dating again.
Another heart fluttering moment was when the mc asked if any of you felt something for the other person that you were acting alongside with, and the both of you raised your hands shyly and blushed when you both realised that both of you raised your hands.
When seon ho went on stage to claim the best actor award, you stood up and clap proudly. And the mc jokingly asked since the both of you raised your hands just now, are you guys dating for real already? Seon ho laughed this time and said “don’t worry i will let you guys know if there’s good news” making everyone excited with his ambiguous answer and you could only laugh and facepalm in embarassment.
Eventually, dispatch released articles of insider saying that 2 actors who have acted together recently in drama and movie are dating and it pointed to you and seon ho again.
You talked to your agency, wondering if the best way is to deny it again because you know that couples that admit their relationship usually end up breaking up. And couples who stay together usually become less active or don’t have many projects up ahead. Plus seon ho’s career is at his peak now, he wouldn’t want to risk anything and he might not even have the time to keep this relationship going.
But your management got the news that seon ho’s side is okay to admit to it if you are okay with it and that shocked you. You didn’t expect him to want to keep this relationship more than his career. But to seon ho, he doesn’t see how his career will go down just because of this. And his fame was a sudden one, he was never famous before that and he was okay with it.
Your management was also quite relaxed about this. It seems that you are the only one thinking too much into this. Eventually you realised that it was all in your head.
The next day all the news outlet were reporting - “BREAKING: Actor Kim Seon Ho and Y/N is in a relationship”.

background
taejin’s your resident chaebol — only, he’s hidden from the public and nobody really knows his backstory. his parents are really famous big names in korea’s economy, and he has a brother that is also known because his older brother has taken the family business into his hands. taejin, on the other hand, was one of those ‘surprise’ babies, happening 10+ years after his brother. as a result, the family kept him low key and taejin’s background history has been relatively mysterious to fans / general public
he’s basically small-brained, lmao. he’s stupid, really stupid. so, he has no book smarts in him, which lead his family to know obviously, you can’t hand taejin a company even with a field of super qualified advisors. as a result, they decided taejin would shine best as a celebrity, and that’s why he was added to bc’s roster of trainees in 2008.
taejin didn’t mind it? especially because he had a natural knack for singing, and rapping in bc standards was just easy to pick up. plus, it beat school where he had to memorize random facts and learn math, he was able to do what he wanted to do. aka: go to the dermatologist, learn how to work a camera and sing all day. the worst part about trainee life was probably leaving his lux house for the titan dorms
surprise, taejin debuts in 2011. it’s not really a surprise because taejin always had the thought in the back of his mind that he would debut, regardless of his talents or not (obvs, connections rather than his sheer talent set). but anyways, taejin debuts and he likes titan — not the members, but the general concept of being an idol.
people like taejin, and taejin likes the attention. he’s expected to look pretty on stage, and live this life of luxury — where he gets, minus the busy schedules. that he can manage if it means being praised.
his fan base is predominately female / female presenting because early on, bc put him into the ‘boyfriend’ mold. aka, he’s handsome, knows how to say the right things and always presents it for the fans. that to say, he’s good at fan service and pretending like he really cares about what the fans have to say, and thus that established him early on with a pretty good fan base / akgae base.
bc decided to put him into acting because he had an acting face and titan already had three main vocals, so what was the point in giving taejin a solo debut? so, they put him into his first role where he’s the ‘noona’ lover, and that makes a big hit with the public. enough, that people start to recognize taejin as a good idol-actor rather than something bc pushes.
this after many roles, leaves him into doing more of a wide-range early on. he gets a lot of clout for it? to where now the general public sees taejin more of an actor first, oh and he’s an idol. kind of like how yoona is seen more as an actress even though her name’s closely tied with gg. nonetheless, he does really well in his roles — enough to get him global success with parasite. this is where his fan base really peaked, and bc decided well, we’re not giving you edgy or niche roles anymore. you have no freedom because you’re playing the boyfriend role. hence, he’s stagnated at the moment.
personality
this non-hag taejin is a piece of shit. let me forewarn, he doesn’t care about being the good hoobae, nor does he care about extending a ‘you did well’ to everyone that comes his way. however, that is his public image and idols that have never met taejin face to face and held a conversation for longer than thirty minutes are prone to that illusion.
however, when you really reveal taejin, you get a jeckyl / hyde effect. he’s really ruthless back stage in the ‘i don’t give a f about you or who you are’ type ish. big headed in the sense he thinks his success reigns over yours, and thinks he’s far above idol life still. he’s an ~actor~ how, refer to him as ~kim taejin~ not ~taejin~. as a result, he remains relatively detached from other idols around him.
titan — he really doesn’t have any opinion on the group. yes, it’s annoying to have to go to each and every schedule bc signs them up for because they’re this big selling group. however, that doesn’t mean he’d d word for titan. if anything, they were a stepping stone to his career. nothing more, nothing less. and because titan gave him some base, he owes it to just continue doing the bare minimum on stage (aka, he sucks on stage.)
in terms of friendships? he’s that friend that might use you, or pull in when you most need it. it depends what kind of dynamic there are — unless, he considers you tight, he’ll only use you to his advantage? and he has no problems with that
in terms of relationship? he’s the guy that’s too lazy to break up with you, so instead he’ll just ghost you till you assume the relationship is over or the type not to commit and use the card “it’s not u, it’s me” and it’s really an excuse to smash other people while stringing you along
he does everything he can to maintain a perfect camera image — it’s a promise to his family, and the fact that it just feels nice to get away with everything behind the scenes while having a harem of people praising everything you do.
aka: he’s not a good guy this time around, but who knows maybe that’s subject to change at some point or another.

one-shot sukhoon fic. slash M/M. rated M (Mature)
tags: hurt/comfort, fluff, established relationship, secret relationship
based on/heavily referenced: hyunsuk’s earpiece accident on treasure’s inkigayo debut stage captured on his fancam & T.M.I episode 12 (pls watch both videos first before reading)
summary:
“choi hyunsuk said his debut stage is both exciting and regrettable. well, park jihoon is here to prove him wrong.
or
my sukhoon take on that earpiece shenanigan and what happened after it.”
read below or on Ao3
Blinding lights, ragged breaths. Choi Hyunsuk stares at the unblinking eye of the camera. Their pre-recorded debut performance has finally come to an end.
Empty cheers, parched throat. Choi Hyunsuk stares at the fallen earpiece in his hand. He thought of crushing it into pieces before remembering where he is now, who he is now. Not another YG trainee or survival shows contestant anymore, but a real, freshly-debuted idol.
Huh. An idol who needs to get his head together because apparently, not even five years of blood, sweat, and tears could prepare one not to lose his earpiece on stage.
  Did he ruin their debut?
The green-haired leader walks with the other Treasure members, following a line back to the make-up room. While others cry loudly in relief, Hyunsuk silently cries in disappointment-- at no one but himself.
  -
Nothing gets past Park Jihoon's eyes; not the awkward hand gesture Junkyu often does when dancing, not the small red dot of the stage cameras that Jeongwoo had a hard time following, not even a flicker of disappointment that reflects on Hyunsuk's eyes after their debut stage. It may have gone for a moment when they're on an interview, but as soon as the camera stops rolling, it flickers back across the eldest's face.
So Jihoon plays his part. Fantastically, if he so may add.
He becomes the Park 'happy virus' Jihoon that everybody and their mothers love and leads the vlogging. Well, to be fair, it's fairly easy for him to do this. Look pretty (which is given), talk a lot, tease other members, give some smiles, tease another member, and end it with either a wink or a kiss to the camera. Both if he's feeling generous.
Of course, the cheerful atmosphere is not something Jihoon creates on his own. It helps how all the members are still feeling the 'adrenaline rush' after performing and watching themselves on National television. All the members, except one, who's by the end of the vlog, is talking quietly with Mashiho on the other end of the sofa. Mashiho looks concerned as the main dancer probably senses something wrong with their eldest hyung. But Jihoon can bet everything on his bank account that Hyunsuk probably shrugs it off as nothing.
Choi Hyunsuk is not the type of person that burden people with his problems, which is a blessing and a pain in the ass at the same time.
  -
Treasure has no time to spare; such is the idol life. It's back to practice again after Inkigayo. It's tiring, but for Hyunsuk, training is his safe haven from bad thoughts. His brain can finally focus on something else than replaying moment after moment when--
  Stop it.
So, Hyunsuk trains, hard. Hard enough that each of his choreographed moves has a little more edge than usual. Hard enough that he knows his body going to regret it tomorrow morning. He trains hard but also still making sure to keep his emotions in check.
Because Hyunsuk believes the members deserve the strong side of him now than ever. A strict, calm leader that can lead and prepare them for countless stages and chaos ahead.
The members don't deserve a weak Choi Hyunsuk, much less a man that manages to fail his group on their debut stage.
  -
It's another six hours of training before Treasure can finally go back to the dorm. Some of the members don't waste any time to pack and leave. Understandable, since it has been a long day. Jihoon too can't wait to reunite with his bed.
 "See you tomorrow, everyone!"
The door closes, leaving only Jihoon, Yedam, and Doyoung in the training room.
"You're not leaving with the others?" Yedam asks Jihoon after a while, seeing the older is still lying down on the couch.
"Nah, still tired. You two go on ahead."
Doyoung gives him a slight nod, before asking the million-dollar question, "Hyunsuk-hyung looks kinda sad today, you know why, hyung?"
Here we go. Jihoon is so ready to feign sleep.
Thankfully, Yedam is an active listener. "Oh, really? I didn't notice it. Is he going back already?"
"Hm, I think he's still talking to our manager." Doyoung looks back to Jihoon. "Hyung, do you know something?"
Sigh. Jihoon pulls down his cap further to cover his eyes. "Nothing's going on, I think he's fine. You're just tired, Doyoung-ah. Go home, take a hot shower, get some sleep. Tomorrow we have three interviews and we need to be ready by 9 AM."
"Ah! Right, we have a morning schedule... " It seems even Yedam is exhausted enough to forget their agenda. That rarely happens, by the way. The main vocalist is already halfway across the room, pulling Doyoung's hand while the other just meekly follow. "We'll be going now, see you tomorrow, hyung!"
 "Bye-bye, be careful."
If Jihoon feels bad by pretending not to see the suspecting glances Doyoung throws at him before the door closes, well, he can always blames it on Hyunsuk.
  -
  "Jihoonie?"
Jihoon opens his eyes to see the man of the hour finally shows himself. The eldest hovering above him, smelling like sweat and fatigue and anguish. Everything about Choi Hyunsuk is so clear to Jihoon, he kinda wonders how does anyone not get it.
 "Hyung."
"I thought you already went back with others."
"Nope, still here. What about you?"
"Uh, just had one last rundown for tomorrow with the manager."
 "Oh. Any changes?"
"No, still the same, 9 AM sharp."
 "Okay."
Hyunsuk hums back before settling on the floor and leans back to the couch. The eldest looks worn out than usual, with eyes empty looking back at themselves in the mirror across the room.
From where Hyunsuk sits, Jihoon's hand could easily reach and play with Hyunsuk's windswept grass of a hair if he wants. The thought is tempting. But he doesn't.
 Instead--
"Still caught up about the earpiece?"
The eldest keeps his quiet, but can't hide his frown.
"Come on, hyung. It's just one small thing."
Hyunsuk lets out a long sigh, like he's done with the conversation already, but Park Jihoon takes it as an opportunity to sharpen his people skill.
"You still performed great. Everyone performed great. I bet nobody notices it."
 "There's a fancam, Jihoonie."
Jihoon scoffs. "You haven't read the comments, have you? People don't care, hyung. They care more about you being sad and depressed about it than the stupid earpiece."
 "But I care!"
Silence fills the air. It's not every day the eldest raises his voice outside practice hours. It took Jihoon a couple of years to learned that it's a Choi Hyunsuk thing to bottle everything up until it got full and everything comes out in an abrupt rush. So, yes, Jihoon understands. Of course, he does, he loves the man. He'd do anything for him even if it meant proving him wrong.
Jihoon finally sits up and turns to Hyunsuk. The eldest buries his face in one hand, looking dejected than before. Probably already regretting his sudden outburst.
Typical nice guy Hyunsuk-hyung. Jihoon rolls his eyes before taking a hold of Hyunsuk's hand, forcing the eldest to face him.
"Hey. You know what's my role in the group, right?"
The eldest frowns deeper. "Of course I know, why would you even ask-"
"Then listen to me when I said you are wrong if you thought your tiny, little accident will somehow-- I don't know, damage our debut or the group reputation or whatever else you're thinking right now."
Jihoon makes sure to steadily hold both Hyunsuk's hand and gaze while he's spitting the truth but goddammit it's tough, especially when Hyunsuk has that kicked puppy dog look that appears whenever he's upset with himself.
Jihoon sighs before muttering, "Honestly, you're thinking like that, doesn’t make any sense to me, but because I love you, hyung, I'm gonna humor you, okay? So believe me when I said it will not damage anything-- anything except your beauty sleep because you think too much. Next, you're gonna get panda eyes like me. And then you're gonna have to apologize to Jaehyuk, our genius content creator, because you're gonna have to change your emoji from pig to panda. And now Treasure will have two pandas. Male and female, maybe. You can be the female since you're the 'eomma' and I'm the 'appa'. Maybe you can add purple ribbon to your emoji and--"
"I get it, I get it! Stop talking, what the hell..." Hyunsuk giggles while slightly pulls Jihoon's hand to put a brake to his rambles.
The man himself doesn't even realize he's been rambling. "You ask for it!"
The room is suddenly rich with small, quiet laughs. One hand still holds another, before Hyunsuk decides to tangled their fingers together. Hyunsuk's hand always feels so small compared to Jihoon's. It's nice, the younger leader thought. They've been so busy preparing their debut, Jihoon forgets when was the last time they held hands. He misses this.
But their debut comes first, they both know that. They've been preparing their whole life for today, after all.
"Hyung--" Jihoon starts again, "--there are still tons of things to do tomorrow. And the day after. And the day, day after that. We're gonna be so fucking busy, you're gonna forget about today, I promise."
Hyunsuk chuckles. "Yeah, I know." The eldest let out another long sigh, "I'm stupid, aren't I? To be sad just because of this."
 "Yup."
"Geez, you don't have to be so honest, Jihoonie."
"You kinda are though." Jihoon just shrugs off the glare Hyunsuk sends him. "You know I can't lie."
"Yeah, yeah." And here comes the pouting Choi Hyunsuk.
 "Don't do that."
 "Do what?"
Jihoon tries to imitate Hyunsuk's pout, of course, since it's his special ability and annoys the leader more. "This. Makes you look like an angry baby."
 "Ya!"
"Makes me want to kiss you, too, Hyunsukkie." Jihoon leans slowly toward Hyunsuk with that playful smirk that makes the man both frustrating and attractive at the same time.
"What... we're in the goddammn training room! Ya! I can't with you sometimes."
Hyunsuk playfully shoves him away but without untangling their hands. Like Jihoon, Hyunsuk also misses the secret intimacy between them.
Hyunsuk takes another glance at their tangled hands before bringing it to his cheek.
"But thank you, Jihoonie. For everything."
No words can describe how soft Jihoon feels right now. Hyunsuk's smile is so sweet and bright, Jihoon swears even the stars got nothing on his dear hyung.
Jihoon holds him just a little bit tighter, whispering promises they definitely can keep.
"Don't worry, hyung. We're gonna be spectacular."
 "Yes. Yes, we will."
  -
The elevator door opens on the floor of Hyunsuk's dorm. Jihoon walks the eldest up to the front door before pulling the other for a goodnight kiss. This is nothing new; a ritual they've always done whenever they come home together. Usually, it's just a peck on the lips since they're out in the open and anybody could run into them, but tonight-- tonight is different. Maybe because of today's incident, maybe because it's the day their dream finally come true, or maybe because they just secretly missed each other so much.
Tonight's their kiss lasts a little longer. Jihoon gently tugs the other lips, while Hyunsuk caresses his soft, pink hair. Strong arms wrap Hyunsuk tight, mouth asking the eldest permission to dip deeper. Hyunsuk is breathless but can't help but indulge him. He wants Park Jihoon too, he always does, for as long as he remembers.
Cold lips devour him; slow and passionate. For once, not caring about anything but each other. Like the world is theirs to begin with.
Maybe it will be theirs, today's their first step, after all.

I haven’t necessarily lost anything, but I’ve let go of a lot of the negativity people usually give me when it come to my role in the family business.” 78. Have you ever lost a friend? do you wish you would still be friends? “I’ve definitely neglected some friendships because of my workload. If I got the chance I’d love to reconnect with them.” 79. Life in Film: Kris Rey.
As her new comedy I Used to Go Here opens, Chicago-based writer and director Kris Rey talks to Letterboxd editor-in-chief Gemma Gracewood about turning 40, divorce, female friendships, why nobody but Jemaine Clement could pull off a scene making tea, and what we can all learn from Generation Z.
If Kris Rey’s new comedy I Used to Go Here were a typical Hollywood rom-com, it would finish just before Rey’s film starts: with Kate Conklin (Gillian Jacobs) as a newly published author, engaged to be married to a handsome guy. Instead, we meet Kate in a Bushwick apartment she can no longer afford, as her publishing company breaks the news that her debut novel (Seasons Passed; terrible cover art, purple prose) is a failure and the publicity tour is off. That’s on top of the insult that her fiancé has recently ended their engagement.
Kate is given a faint ray of optimism when her creative writing professor (Jemaine Clement) invites her back to the liberal arts college she graduated from a decade earlier, to give a talk to his Gen Z students. Leaving Brooklyn and her pregnant bestie behind, Kate dives into the nostalgia of her old Illinois stomping ground, and I Used to Go Here turns into a low-key, pot-fuelled, intergenerational romp through ideas of success, friendship, creativity, authenticity and idolization.
The film’s fans on Letterboxd include Matt Neglia, who writes: “Gillian Jacobs brings charismatic charm and restraint to her role as a writer longing for a time when we were filled with endless potential without the fear of failure.” Matt DeTurck identifies with this theme: “Relatable for anyone wrestling with fitting the pieces of their life together in ways that feel truthful.”
On the contemporary representation of university life, Alex Billington remarks that “it’s got all the college movie tropes… but it repackages all of these in a smart adult-looking-back indie film package”. Max notes that “the college kids are an invaluable addition and feel like people rather than college or Gen Z stereotypes”.

Kate (Gillian Jacobs) and David (Jemaine Clement) in a scene from ‘I Used to Go Here’.
Your film starts just after the point at which a mainstream comedy about a single white woman in her thirties would end: with Kate’s book being published to no acclaim, her engagement being broken off, everybody else pregnant except her. It runs in opposition to the happy endings Hollywood has made us expect. Kris Rey: Oh god, [that’s] so astute. No-one has said that before and I have never thought of it before, but that’s so true! I think what’s so interesting about the whole journey that she goes on, and all of our own personal journeys, is that you’re used to, like, at the end of the movie, they get married! She gets her book published! And then everything is perfect! And then you realize: ‘Oh. Oh god, okay. How do I move on from this?’ So, you’re right, that is what’s so different about this.
The other thing—and I’m sure this can be said about most films this year—is how the set-up feels weirdly right for these times, which is to say: the widespread derailment of plans that the pandemic has wrought. It’s like we’re in a strange global coming-of-age. Several Letterboxd reviews observe how, for women in their late twenties to early thirties, there’s a second coming-of-age where everything suddenly feels extremely nostalgic. The film dives into that longing feeling by literally returning Kate to her old college. It’s funny, you know, a lot of people have pointed out how this doesn’t quite fit into a category. It’s not a rom-com, it’s not a true coming-of-age film in a sense of what we know that to be. I think that part of it is exactly what you’ve just pointed out, which is that it’s about a unique period of time for women, where you do reach this precipice. Mostly, it comes out of this big ever-pressing question which is “Am I going to have a family or not?”. Not every woman, but most women, have that question in their head until they either have a baby or they reach the age where they can’t have a baby anymore. “Am I going to have this? Am I going to follow this path of domesticity? Am I going to find a relationship that works long enough to have a family with them? Am I going to have to make sacrifices in my career to make room to have a family? Am I going to find them all at once?” Men just don’t have that point, to no fault of their own, but the fault of the patriarchy in general, which is that it has to be a conscious decision for women in a way that everything revolves around that, as we go about our lives at that age.
Tumblr media
And you’ve explored that idea in more than just this film. I loved the awkward-yet-sincere moment at the baby shower, when the friends make her hold her book alongside their third-trimester bumps for a group photo. A book is a baby, and its publication should also be celebrated! Scenes like that emphasize how well Gillian Jacobs embraced the role of Kate. What did she bring to it that wasn’t on the page? There’s such a special thing that happens when you cast anyone for anything. It certainly happened with Gillian, but also with everyone. Definitely Jemaine was a big one, which is that I don’t typically write for specific actors. I write a character, I write the dialog, and then when I cast them I think ‘oh, Jemaine Clement is going to be in this role’, so then I go back through and read the whole thing in his voice and think ‘maybe he’d say it like this instead’ and maybe after [a scene we don’t wish to spoil], he would make tea for everyone. Very few, if any, American actors would be able to pull that moment off. That is kind of what I’m looking for: who are they? Are they able to feel like real people? Because so often they feel performative.
Like versions of a person. Right. Like they’re acting like a person! Gillian is very authentic. If you were to talk to her, she would just seem like her real self, and that was what was so appealing about her for me. Gillian just really brought herself, and I learned about her as a person.
As well as great comics like Kate Micucci and Jorma Taccone, there’s a lovely assortment of inclusive young characters who live in Kate’s old student house. Where did you find them? I just flushed them out and gathered them and held them close! There’s a couple of them that I didn’t know but I had seen in other stuff. Josh Wiggins, who plays Hugo, I’d seen him act in a movie called Hellion. Forrest Goodluck I saw in The Miseducation of Cameron Post. He’s incredible in that and I knew I wanted him to play Animal. Hannah Marks was someone that was sent to me, and we talked on the phone and I just knew she would be perfect. She’s such a brilliant go-getter and filmmaker and so ambitious in her own life. Khloe Janel, who plays Emma, auditioned for me here in Chicago and she’s so good. I adore her. I was taking a walk yesterday through the neighborhood and I saw her name on a little sign—she was making these poetry zines! I bought one.
Tumblr media
Hugo (Josh Wiggins), Animal (Forrest Goodluck) and Tall Brandon (Brandon Daley) in ‘I Used to Go Here’.
The person we need to know about is whoever the guy is who plays Tall Brandon! Brandon Daley, who plays tall Brandon, is a person that I just knew. He is on the periphery of my social circle and he had come to a few parties at my house. His buddies called him ‘Tall Brandon’, in this very demeaning way! They were of course all good friends. I thought he was such a funny character that I wrote the character based on him. But I didn’t know him. Then he heard that I had written a part called Tall Brandon and he asked if he could play the part. I was like, “I don’t think so, Brandon!”
Was he an actor? Kind of. He’s a filmmaker but he’s much younger than me and he hadn’t done anything besides his own work. But I made him audition for the role based on him! [Laughs] I don’t know, I was just like, it’s a huge role, you know? The last thing you want is someone who can’t act like themselves, which everyone struggles to do. Anyway, he was so good in the audition, so funny, and he just nailed it. He steals the whole movie! He’s just so good.
I Used to Go Here is a long way from problematic college fare like Revenge of the Nerds or the angst of St Elmo’s Fire. It feels thoroughly 21st-century, especially in how the Gen Z housemates take an inclusive, ‘sure, why not’ approach to having Kate tag along with them. What inspired the way you wrote the intergenerational aspects of the film? There weren’t necessarily college films that I was using for inspiration. I wanted the place to feel the same that she left, but I wanted the people to feel different. This is what I’m finding in my life. I’m gonna turn 40 this year, and when I interact with people in their twenties, I’m blown away by the way that they view the world and the way that they view themselves and each other. I’m so impressed by it. And I am on board with a lot of these cultural changes that we’re seeing happen before our eyes, like, the idea of gender identity has changed so much, and so quickly. I’ve never seen anything change like that in my life. The idea of consent. When I first heard it I was like, “What? You have to ask if you wanna touch someone or kiss someone? It seems so lame!” Now, I can’t believe that we ever did that! I’m learning so much. They seem so clear-headed about it all. I just think that we have a lot to learn from that generation.
The movie’s not about that, necessarily, but it’s infused into it and I wanted that to influence Kate, in her life. Some of it is specific to this generation, but some of it is also just specific to being in your twenties. The character April, the way that she thinks about the [publishing] industry and her art, and the way that Kate, who is jaded, is like, “Okay, whatever, you’re naïve, make your little magazine, but you’ll have to follow the rules.” We’ve all been faced with that before.

So it’s a watershed year for you, turning 40. What would you define success and happiness as now, compared to when you were in your twenties and the ideas you had about the industry then? Oh, god. Okay so I’ve also had a lot of personal growth because I got divorced this last year, which was crazy. I’ve got two kids, a four year old and a nine year old. So I’ve been through so much; it’s been such a huge change for me. I have learned a lot, but one of the things that I have learned so much is that the relationships that matter the most in my life are my female friendships. I’ve always known that, but I’ve never seen it so much as I have in the last two years, both personally throughout my divorce, and professionally through making a film without a romantic partner to lean on. Of course I have male friends that are wonderful and supportive, but my female friends, those relationships are where I’m realizing I wanna put my effort into more than any other part of my life.
Okay, it’s time for a few questions about movies that are important to you. Thinking back, what is the film that made you want to be a filmmaker? Boogie Nights was the first film that I watched when I was in high school that I thought ‘oh, this is a job, and I’m seeing someone make stylistic choices that are interesting and unique’. You can see the behind the scenes in that movie a little bit. I remember watching it and thinking ‘that would be a cool job’. I also really loved the movie Bottle Rocket in high school. I began my filmmaking career thinking that I wanted to make documentaries, and so there’s also a lot of docs that I loved. But those were the early films that made me realize that it was even a job. Unfortunately not any female filmmakers, because I think that was just so rare [then].
What is your all-time comfort favorite film? Sleepless in Seattle, no question.
There’s your female filmmaker! Yes, but with a movie like Sleepless in Seattle, it’s such a mainstream movie that I never thought of it as ‘a job’. It wasn’t until I was in high school that I saw more independent and auteurish works. But Nora Ephron is a genius. That movie is perfect in my opinion.
What’s a film that, as a teenager, felt like a mirror into your soul? That movie with Chris O’Donnell, an Irish film, Circle of Friends. With Minnie Driver! Who is also in Good Will Hunting, another film I saw in high school. I haven’t seen Circle of Friends since it came out, but it felt very real to me, that movie. I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned that movie to anyone!
Tumblr media
Gwyneth Paltrow and Joseph Fiennes in ‘Shakespeare in Love’ (1998).
What is the sexiest film you’ve ever seen? Shakespeare in Love! [Laughs.] There’s two movies. One was Legends of the Fall. It was literally the sexiest movie I’d ever seen up till that point. I was very young when it came out and there was this lovemaking scene by candlelight and I was like, ‘oh, that’s what sex is!’. And then Shakespeare in Love. That scene where he’s unwrapping her? So hot.
Who is another director you’d die for? I’m such a huge fan of Nicole Holofcener. I love her films so much. I have never met her. I do know some people that know her and I am honestly so scared to meet her because I like her work so much. She’s probably my favorite filmmaker. I just vibe with everything she makes. I love the tone. I just love all of her movies.
What’s a film that we should watch after we watch yours? You should watch She Dies Tomorrow. It’s so good, and Amy Seimetz is my very, very close and dear friend. We started making movies at the same time. Our movies were supposed to premiere at SXSW on the same day, and now they are being released on the same day, and we’re just in love with each other. Amy and I are— the movies are so wildly different from each other, but her movie is so good. It is really funny, it’s really weird and it’s really appropriate for the times right now.
I feel like some reviews are missing the comedy in it. I laughed so much throughout that film. I agree: people don’t get it! Can I shout out another movie that I watched recently? Crossing Delancey. I had never seen it before and my sister-in-law texted me and she was like, “you should watch this film like right now—this seems like something you would love”. I couldn’t believe how good it was. It’s so great. It feels like it could be shot right now in Brooklyn. All the cool kids in Brooklyn are dressing exactly the same way that all the cool kids in Brooklyn dressed in 1988, or whenever it came out. She’s having a dialog with a friend and the friend is like openly breastfeeding. And the way that they’re talking about romance and all this stuff is so on point. That movie’s great.
And another female director! Joan Micklin Silver. Yeah!

༊*·˚┊ often says many swear words, she doesn't care too much to curse in front of her elders. when she is angry she swears in italian.

༊*·˚┊ army ships her mostly with Taehyung, Jungkook or Yoongi. and she knows it so she usually approaches them to annoy the fans because she knows they like it.
༊*·˚┊ the two most famous theories that have to do with Storm are that she is the boys' guardian angel in "the bangtan world" or maybe that she killed the boys referring to the theory of the group's own name.
༊*·˚┊ when she met Namjoon he couldn't talk since he was a big fan of hers.

Days 1 - 9
Day One: Introduce your muse. Are they solo or in a group? What is their position in the group? Consider this day the day for writing the basics. According to her birth certificate, Lyna was born Jung Ahyeon on November 2 of 1990 in Anchorage, Alaska. Her stage name 'Lyna' is a combination of her English name Lynn and her Korean name Ahyeon, which is meant to signify a synthesis of all she ever was. Lyna is where the paths of Lynn and Ahyeon merged back into one. She's a soloist who debuted in February 2012 under Gold Star Media after working on some collaborations and appearing on a few TV shows to get her name out there and has since come to be known for her powerful vocals and stage presence.
Day Two: Talk about your muse’s childhood. Where did they grow up? Did they have any dream jobs besides being an idol? When did they realize they wanted to be an idol? Lyna grew up in an orphanage in Anchorage, where she spent most of her formative years. Although she dealt with some discrimination there, she would describe her childhood as rather normal. Average. She had friends and people she disliked, good days and bad days. The older she got, the more dissatisfied she grew with the fact that she wasn't getting adopted, however, and decided to follow her ethnicity and move to Korea in 2005. Growing up, she dreamed of becoming a lawyer one day to defend justice. It sounded perfect to her, the little orphan girl who shows them all where hard work can get you. But as time passed, she came to realize that there were many rules she didn't want to enforce or defend, rules that made no sense to her, and that the law and justice could be two very different things, and her dream changed. At age 14 (a few months from 15), she joined a church choir and discovered her love for singing through it, which is when she began to seriously consider idol as a career.
Day Three: Take us back to when your muse was either recruited or auditioned to become an idol. How did that go? How did they feel getting up on stage for recruiters? If your muse could give their younger selves advice before the audition, what would they say? It took her many auditions to make the cut, too many to keep count of. In fact, she never quite did, in a traditional sense. After failing time and time again, Lyna was scouted while busking with a group of friends, which led to a private audition and that one, she finally passed. Since she'd stood in front of recruiters so many times before, she wasn't as nervous anymore at that point. It had become somewhat of a routine and wasn't so different from a busking session, where she would try to get strangers to stop for her, to allow her to take a few minutes of their time. Sure, these people would have to invest more into her than a few seconds out of their lives, but the premise was the same.  And that's exactly the advice Lyna would like to give her younger self. They are just people too, only in important positions. The worst that can happen is that they say no, and then what? Then you get up, dust yourself off and try again.
Day Four: Remember the trainee days? What are some of your muse’s memories of being a trainee? How long were they a trainee? Were they worried about potentially not making a debut? Talk about any challenges they might have encountered. When Lyna finally managed to get into a company, her trainee period was a little different from the usual, as far as she knows. Because she had already gotten collaborative offers prior, she wasn't completely unknown and fairly certain Gold Star already had an idea of what they wanted to do with her, which the TV appearances they granted her further cemented. She trained alongside others, but was never asked to work with them or put in a project group. It was clear to her (and most anyone) that she would be a soloist.  The biggest challenge was one that she thinks is universal, which is maintaining a body that fits the strict beauty standard. Lyna is far from tall and has always been on the curvier side, so she struggled with reaching a weight that was considered acceptable for a female idol. Something under 50kg, at most. That, and all the things about herself that counted as imperfections too that she couldn't change but was ruthlessly criticized for. As someone who believed in hard work more than anything, it frustrated her to no end that there were ways in which she fell short that she simply couldn't influence. A challenge more personal to her was that her special position made it harder for her to bond with other trainees, as it was clear early on that she would not debut with them, which made the 11 months she trained a rather lonely experience.
Day Five: Recall your muse’s debut. What was the song they debuted with? How did it feel performing for the first time on stage as an idol? Feel free to bring up their thoughts about the concept, choreography, lyrics, music video, or other components.  Lyna debuted with 'Heaven', which wasn't very challenging performance-wise but capitalized on her vocals instead, which she appreciated because that was the one thing that set her apart from the innumerable other debuts that happened every year.  Because it was not her first time performing in front of an audience or even on TV, she wasn't as nervous as she imagines some others are, especially because she was already a grown woman (21, internationally) at the time. Despite that, her first music stage performance is a moment she doesn't think she'll ever forget. The moment her dream came true, all adrenaline and giddy smiles she had to suppress for the sake of a frictionless performance.  To this day, she's still fond of the song. Although it's one she didn't participate in creating at all, she thinks 'Heaven' manages to show off her own colors while still being easy to listen to and digest.
Day Six: What concept does your muse think they can pull off best? Cutesy? Manly? Sexy? What concept do they have a hard time pulling off? What kind of concept would they want to do at some point? The concept she's best at has always been a confident one, with sexy undertones. A more mature version of 'girl crush'. That's also evident in her title tracks, as she hasn't strayed from it very often. Ballads are a close second, however, because she loves when people focus solely on her voice and she doesn't have to play any role, just sing.  She has a hard time pulling off anything cutesy, since that's just not who she is (or ever was). It's more than simply feeling too old for it, it clashes with her sense of self. She's short, yes, but she isn't cute and would hate to sell herself as such.  It's not very far from the things she's already done while promoting ballads, but Lyna would really like to try an acoustic song at some point that just has her sitting on stage with her guitar. No frills, no glitter. Something that allows her to reminisce about her busking days.
Day Seven: Which era is your muse’s favorite in their career? Why is it their favorite (think concept, promotions, choreography, etc.)? If your muse has recently debuted, talk about what they would want to do for their next comeback. Lyna's favorite era was 'Mind Your Own Business', as she not only released her first full album then, but it was filled with songs she'd written and composed herself. 'Vivid' is the most personal album she's released to date and thus holds a very special place in her heart.  More than the title track itself (which she likes just fine), she's proud that a song she worked on mostly by herself, 'Insane', got an MV too. It felt like the next big step in her career, and one she likes to look back on with pride.
Day Eight: Talk about your muse’s strengths and weaknesses as an idol. Feel free to discuss their own personal thoughts regarding these components. Think of qualities such as vocals, dancing, visuals, acting skills, and variety show skills, for example. Her most obvious strength are her vocals, where she excels not only in technique but also with a vocal color that seems to appeal to the general public. She maintains it through hard work and constant practice and takes great care not to damage her vocal chords.  Her dancing, while certainly advanced, is something she doesn't get a chance to use or show off often, as her songs are usually impossible to perform if moving around too much, but if she were to promote as a regular idol, it would likely be counted among her strengths as well.  What she would personally name as her biggest strength is her work ethic, however. No matter the circumstances, she's never allowed herself to get lazy or complacent and keeps herself sharp by training with coaches and colleagues whenever possible. It stems from her love for what she's doing, but it's also a mindset.  Acting skills definitely count among her weaknesses, as she has none. Lyna is the type to do fine if she wants to pretend for something like a joke among friends, but at some point, she inevitably breaks into laughter. It feels stilted and not quite right, so she doubts she'll ever go beyond what her MVs demand of her.  Her variety skills are a mixed bag, as it really depends on the type of variety show. Some, she works well on because she's bubbly and bright, which guarantees good reactions. For anything sports-related or requiring too much physical labor, she's a rather bad fit because she's not particularly athletic or enthusiastic about sports that aren't limited to dancing or swimming.  Her biggest weakness might be her bluntness, as honesty is not always welcomed and could potentially even spark a controversy, if she isn't careful. She's also not afraid to call out an MC for a question she deems unacceptable, which isn't always a good idea either.
Day Nine: What is your muse’s fashion style? Talk about what kind of clothes they love to wear. To them, what is the essential thing to have in their closet? What is their favorite outfit? Lyna's fashion style consists to a large part of A-line dresses that show off her body shape but not too much skin, but she often wears simple jeans and blouses or t-shirts, too. It depends on the occasion and her mood. She tends to choose only one colorful item and pairs it with neutrals or goes for subdued colors all over, nothing blindingly bright or too much of a statement. She prefers feeling comfortable to standing out among a crowd. As she's fairly short, she has a rather large collection of heels she doesn't find uncomfortable and often opts for those instead of flats, unless she knows she's going to have to walk long distances or do sports.  What she considers most essential, however, are hair ties, since she likes to wear her hair either in a side-braid or a high ponytail so it doesn't bother her throughout the day.  She has no single favorite outfit, but is particularly fond of the asymmetrical dresses she owns that are shorter in the front and longer in the back, because she thinks they flatter her legs.

Royal Flush
Summary
BigHit, who started taking female trainees again in recent years, decides to debut a new female group with five members. Kim Yeji is 20 years old and has been a trainee for only a couple years. Despite this, she finds herself selected as a member for this new group. Will she make it to debut? And will the group last beyond that point? And what on EARTH will she do when a member of BigHit’s most legendary group takes a more personal interest in her—and she in him?
Chapter One
“Why do you think you should be in this group?”
This was more intimidating than when I had auditioned for the company.  I tried not to show my nerves as I adjusted my seating position, attempting not to cower under the gaze of the PDs.  Instead, I gathered myself to give a confident answer.
“I know I’ve only been a trainee for a short time,” I began, glancing between the three professionals sat before me.  Three people who were responsible for forming the best group possible.  Three people with my entire future currently in their hands.  “And I’m far from the most talented trainee here.”
“Not quite selling yourself yet,” the one lady PD said, raising an eyebrow.  She was so pretty, she could be an idol herself.
I took a deep breath.  “What I do have is passion,” I said, and the PDs looked interested.  “I’m 19. I’ll be 20 next year.  I didn’t come here for a childish dream of fame. I know what I want.  And I know that BigHit can help me get it.”
“What is that, Yeji-ssi?” the man to Bang PD-nim’s left asked.
“To make music.  To make art.  BigHit doesn’t make cookie-cutter stars that they work to the bone until they’ve rung out every last dollar.  BigHit makes artists.”  I took a breath, feeling shaken when putting these things to words, things that I wanted so deeply.  “If you look at the practice times you’ll see how much time I spend in the studio, in lessons, in the gym, even in my free hours.  I’ll be the hardest worker in any group you can make.”
The room was quiet except for some scribbling on the PDs notepads.  I kept quiet, having said everything I could.  That near-silence seemed to last forever before Bang PD-nim looked back at me with a smile.  “Thank you, Yeji-ssi,” he said.  I took the message, standing and bowing respectfully to the producers before leaving the office.
That was several months ago now.  Today, I found myself in a studio ready to take an array of pictures for our debut in the next few months.  After the hours and hours of dance rehearsals and recordings we’d been having all day the past few months, this honestly felt like a vacation. Of course, I hadn’t stepped in front of the camera yet.
I glanced away from the mirror to see Jahyun smiling charmingly for the camera.  She seemed like a natural, shining in her inherent cuteness—even playing it up a little, peeking from behind her fingers, flower-cupping her hands beneath her chin, and widening her eyes in a look of surprise.  The managers wanted her image to be especially cute and innocent, being the maknae and only 16.
“This one first,” one of the wardrobe eunnies said, holding out a fluffy skirt and long-sleeved cropped sweater, along with a pair of white fishnets.  It was cute, but not too cute, which went along with our concept.  BigHit didn’t want to pigeon-hole their girl group into all the other schoolgirls and aegyo overload traps that debut girls had a tendency to fall into.
Once I had changed, I sat down in the makeup chair, closing my eyes and allowing the stylist to take control of my makeup.  It hadn’t been long that I suddenly felt a presence beside me, and a pair of lips right by my ear.  “Happy birthday, Yeji.”
Delighted, I opened my eyes to see my own reflection before me, accompanied now by Li Haneul standing behind me. “Haneul-eunnie!” I said happily. “How did you know?”
“I wouldn’t be a very good eunnie if I didn’t know your birthdays,” she said, and I filed away the idea to learn my younger members birthdays quickly.  I couldn’t rely on Haneul to always know.  “When did they finish your hair?  It looks so nice!  Did you come home like that last night?”
Guiltily, I shook my head, sending my new bright red locks swinging.  “I slept in the studio last night,” I admitted.  “I was working on the dance break for ‘Deck of Cards’ and then I wanted to write a few more lyric ideas for next album, and then it was too late to think about coming back.”
“You have to stop sleeping on that sofa, it’s not good for you,” Haneul scolded, and I meekly nodded.  “Minji will say the same.”
“Minji is only 18, she can tell me all she wants,” I joked, but both of us knew that even if Minji was younger, she was the leader and we’d listen to her if she told us something related to the group. “I know, eunnie, I’ll stop getting so caught up.”
“Good,” Haneul said, hugging around my shoulders quickly while the stylist looked for some more colors on her vanity.  “You need to be at your best for debut and we already work so hard.  You need good sleep and good food.”
“Did Jisoo make something very good last night?” I asked, mouth watering at the thought of what leftovers might be waiting in the dorm refrigerator.
“Just chicken and vegetables, but the soup she made was even better.  There’s some left over for you, we made sure to set some aside.  I assumed you’d eat it when you got home…”  Haneul shook her head again.  “I wondered why I didn’t hear you come into our room.  Did you even eat at all?”
“I had some of the crackers from the studio. I wasn’t that hungry anyway.”
“What am I going to do with you?” Haneul demanded, looking equal parts amused and worried.  “I’m serious, Yeji, be sure you’re home at a reasonable hour tonight, or I’ll march to the studio myself and drag you back to bed.”
Even as Jahyun was led away to change and the managers started calling for Haneul to take her place on the set, my eunnie still stared me down until I answered.
“Yes, eunnie, I promise,” I assured her.
I broke my word, of course.  Truly, I hadn’t meant to, but once again the time had gotten away from me.  Just one more practice, I kept telling myself.  One more run-through of the song.
We would be debuting live in only two and a half months.  There wasn’t enough time to become perfect.  As I critically eyed myself in the mirror, I kept comparing myself to Haneul or Jisoo.  I’d never be as good of a dancer as them.  Haneul had a way of making everything seem effortless, and the swag that Jisoo had in her rap also extended to her dance.
And yet, I constantly found myself being placed at the center.  “Yeji-ssi has such a strong visual.”  That was what the managers and choreographers had said.  I wondered if my looks were what had gotten me into the group.  Had my hard work spoken for itself, had my talent put me here?  Or did they just need  a center, a visual?
Exhausted after another round of rehearsing, I plopped to the floor right in the middle of the studio.  I fumbled for the remote for the music in my pocket, turning it off before it started itself over again.  Laying flat at my back, I squinted up at the bright lights.  How was I going to keep up after debut?  The members always reassured me when my fears came to surface, saying I was just as good as them and we all needed each other for the group to be a success.
Absent-mindedly, I started humming a tune, one that I’d invented in my head and had been stuck there for weeks.  All the songs for the debut album were written and mostly recorded. But, like I’d told Haneul earlier, I’d already found myself thinking of new songs for the next album.
Slowly, I sat up, turning away from the mirror. I didn’t want to look at my exhausted reflection any longer.  I was pretty sure I had sweat so much that my new red hair would bleed onto my skin. The tune in my head kept playing and so, almost unknowingly, I began to sing.
This song was different than the ones that were for debut.  The ones we had were poppy and happy, things to make you dance.  Even the one ballad was about having fun in the sun at the end of the day.  But this song, the one that my heart seemed to be demanding I write, was more personal to me.
The studio had great acoustics, and I found myself singing louder and louder, basking in the sound of the words echoing off the practice room walls.  It felt freeing, honestly; to sit here and sing something that didn’t have to be perfect just now.  It was something that was just for me.
“And I’ll fly,” I sang.  “I’ll fly.  But like petals tossed in the air, am I flying or floating or falling?”  My own lyrics hit me harder than I thought they would in that moment.  I really didn’t know whether I was flying or falling right now.  What if everyone hated our group?  BigHit hadn’t put out a new group since Bangtan—what if we couldn’t live up to them? They’d had the benefit of not having such high expectations when they debuted.  The whole world would be watching Royal Flush.
“It’s a shame you never know, until you land or hit the ground,” I finished, letting the last note reverberate around the space and then fade away.  Taking a deep breath, I closed my eyes for just a moment.
And then they flew open again, hearing applause from the doorway.  One set of hands clapping.  I whirled around, expecting to see Haneul or Minji, ready to scold me and drag me back to the dorm.
What I didn’t expect to see was one of the most handsome and most famous men in all of South Korea leaning against the doorframe.

Introduce your muse. Are they solo or in a group? What is their position in the group? Consider this day the day for writing the basics
Kwon Eunjae, 27 years old, main vocalist of Decipher.
Talk about your muse’s childhood. Where did they grow up? Did they have any dream jobs besides being an idol? When did they realize they wanted to be an idol?
Eunjae was born and raised in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province, South Korea. As a kid, Eunjae dreamed of becoming a musician or a painter – anything that had to do with the arts, really. Becoming an idol came out of necessity. It wasn’t a dream job, it was just one that could pay well if it worked out.
Take us back to when your muse was either recruited or auditioned to become an idol. How did that go? How did they feel getting up on stage for recruiters? If your muse could give their younger selves advice before the audition, what would they say?
Eunjae auditioned for BC‌ when they were 12 years old. Nerves weren’t a problem for them – and they still aren’t – because the boy was practically born on stage. They started playing instruments and consequently doing performances very young and this felt to them like it was another of those. The only advice Eunjae would give their younger selves would be to perhaps take the ajaeng with them. They know that they got in with their vocals alone but maybe with the ajaeng the performance would’ve been better.
Remember the trainee days? What are some of your muse’s memories of being a trainee? How long were they a trainee? Were they worried about potentially not making a debut? Talk about any challenges they might have encountered.
Eunjae trained for a little over three years, debuting with Decipher at 16. Eunjae doesn’t remember much because it was honestly so long ago. They remember mostly focusing on vocals and having dancing as a second priority, mostly because they weren’t really good at it when they started training and BC was demanding. They weren’t too worried about not debuting because back then there weren’t as many trainees or groups as there are nowadays so it was a given that the majority of the people in the company would debut. If anything, they preferred staying at the company than going home anyway because it was one less expense for their parents. The biggest challenge was coping with missing their family. They were all attached to the hip, Eunjae even more, and whenever they could, they’d call back home and end up in tears after speaking to their mom. Their family couldn’t afford to visit them more than once every other month and even then it was mostly their parents and/or their grandmother.
Recall your muse’s debut. What was the song they debuted with? How did it feel performing for the first time on stage as an idol? Feel free to bring up their thoughts about the concept, choreography, lyrics, music video, or other components.
Eunjae debuted with Replay on May 25, 2008. It wasn’t the first time they were on a stage but it was definitely the first time Eunjae was expected to dance to a bunch of people and they were mostly nervous because of that. Decipher was also supposed to sing live while dancing and that was a big challenge at first, even if they mostly succeeded. They did and still do love the concept, the sound, the choreography and everything for Replay because it felt very appropriate for the time and it remains a timeless song.
What concept does your muse think they can pull off best? Cutesy? Manly? Sexy? What concept do they have a hard time pulling off? What kind of concept would they want to do at some point?
Eunjae’s always looked young for their age so they definitely think they can pull off the cute concepts better than the rest though‌‌‌ Decipher’s definitely done very diverse concepts and the majority of them don’t fit specifically into that set division of cutesy/manly/sexy. The first years after debut Eunjae struggled the most with concepts that were very demanding dance wise but, to be fair, now they’ve been in the industry for so long that anything goes for them. They’d like to do more retro stuff like 1 of 1 again.
Which era is your muse’s favorite in their career? Why is it their favorite (think concept, promotions, choreography, etc.)? If your muse has recently debuted, talk about what they would want to do for their next comeback.
It’s bittersweet but definitely the entirety of 2013 was Eunjae’s favorite because it culminated on Decipher winning a daesang. Out of those, Why So Serious? is the one they liked the most mostly due to the whole album which is one of their favorite things Decipher has ever released.
Talk about your muse’s strengths and weaknesses as an idol. Feel free to discuss their own personal thoughts regarding these components. Think of qualities such as vocals, dancing, visuals, acting skills, and variety show skills, for example.
Eunjae’s biggest strength as an idol is definitely their vocals.‌ It’s what they are known for, what they take the most pride in as well. As the main vocalist, it’s expected for them to keep their vocals at the highest quality possible. Next it’s their acting skills which they developed because of their many years doing musicals and being on stage. Eunjae is completely unfocused most of the time but they manage to gather their wits when they are acting. Dancing is something they’ve managed to develop through the years so they could keep up with Decipher which is a very demanding group dance wise. When it comes to their variety show skills… they are terrible because they are too quiet and leave the presence to their members.
What is your muse’s fashion style? Talk about what kind of clothes they love to wear. To them, what is the essential thing to have in their closet? What is their favorite outfit?
Eunjae is very much against form fitting clothes. They have to wear it eventually, every now and then, because they don’t get to pick everything they wear but if they could they wouldn’t go anywhere skinny jeans. They often wear loose pants, most of them black or some other neutral color so not to clash with the colorful shirts and jackets they pair those pants with. They like shirts with a lot of patterns, vintage and lowkey kinda tacky. They pretty much dress like their painter dad used to dress back in the 80s/90s. Button up shirts with vintage patterns are definitely the most essential thing to have in their closet. For a good reference, they basically dress like BTS’ Taehyung.
Talk about your muse’s three closest friends. How did they meet? How long have they known each other? What do they love most about their friends?
Eunjae’s closest friends are definitely their members and their siblings. I’m gonna have to cheat and skip this answer because Eunjae actually doesn’t have any close friendship plots at the moment. Some other day I’ll drop back here and edit this one.
Has your muse had any scandals? How have these scandals affected your muse as an idol or as a person? If your muse has not had any scandals, talk about their views on scandals. Is all publicity good publicity?
Back in 2013 Eunjae got into a scandal that was more caused by fans than by them. BC cleared them to participate in Bonnie and Clyde and the fans had an issue with the amount of scenes where Eunjae had to kiss and/or touch the female lead role. So a petition was signed for Eunjae to be removed under threat of boycott and at the end of the day BC thought it was best for them to step down from the role. As an idol it was too little of an actual scandal to affect their career much but it kept them from being able to participate in musicals for a long time both because they didn’t want to anymore and because the company “benched” them. It made Eunjae have very sour feelings towards the fans and they far from thankful to them because of it.
If your muse is in a group, what are the fun things about promoting with other members? What do they love about being in a group? What do they love about their members? If your muse is a solo artist, what are their thoughts on promoting alone? What do they love about being solo?
The fun thing about promoting with Decipher is getting together with their members and catching up. They don’t go long periods without seeing each other but it’s different when you live in separate places, have been together for so long and don’t have as many schedules together. They love the fact that the attention is not completely on them all of the time. As much as they want to promote solo one day, they’d rather do it in their own terms and for something like Decipher’s music which isn’t completely chosen by the group, Eunjae is glad they can share the burden with other people. They love how much they can trust the members, how they know the boys will always have their back.
For the muses in a group, what are the challenges of being one of several people in a group? Have there been any troubles that have come along with being in a group environment and times they wish they were alone? For the solo artist muses, have you ever felt lonely promoting alone? Do you ever wish that you were in a group instead?
Eunjae loves being in a group. They are far from a combative person. If anything they avoid conflict as much as possible so any arguments that happened within the group were never started or even continued by them. They only jump in when it’s something that affects the way Decipher works and even then it takes a lot for them to intervene. There have been troubles, it’s hard not to when you work together for so long and know not only how the other ticks but also exactly where to press to hurt. Whenever they need to be alone Eunjae will just step away to gather their thoughts, especially because when they get overwhelmed they tend to lose even more focus.
If your muse is in a group, how do you think they would have fared had they had a solo career instead? What kind of concept would they have? If your muse is a solo artist, how do you think they would have fared if they were in an idol group? What position of the group do you think they would have?
They’d have done well probably. They are a great singer, got better through the years training under BC and they like singing exactly the type of music Korea is crazy for – ballads. They’d be pushed into going for that route and would have loved it.
Who does your muse look up to in the industry? Why do they look up to this person?
Older singers like Park Hyoshin, Shin Yongjae and Shin Seunghun. Being the most senior artist in the RP, there aren’t any artists in verse that they’d have looked up to.
If your muse could do a special stage with another artist or idol group, who would it be and why? What song would they perform?
They’d like to perform any duet with other skilled main singers, like Knight’s Duri, Aria’s Yewon and Fuse’s Suji.
How would your muse fare in a variety show? If your muse could appear on any variety show, which variety would it be and why? If you don’t have a lot of knowledge of variety shows, talk about what kind of variety show they would go on.
Terrible. Eunjae simply does not have the attention span for variety shows. If they attempted to participate in one of them by themselves they’d just not be funny or entertaining at all and it’d take a lot of effort by the MCs for it to be even remotely fun to watch. The most they could participate in would be something like Yu Huiyeol’s Sketchbook.
What entertainment agency is your muse a part of? What do they think of other groups and artists that are in the same agency as them? Which labelmates do they get along with the most, excluding group members?
BC City. Eunjae thinks they are all very talented and capable but they are not very into the music all of them release. They enjoy the stuff BEE‌ puts out and some of the things Knight releases as well but other than that they just support the groups from afar, like a good sunbae. They get along the best with Jiah and Duri, probably.
Is there anything besides idol activities that your muse would want to do? Would they want to take their hand at hosting a variety show or act in a television show or drama? Would they want to try out modeling or a musical? If they have done things such as these, talk about their thoughts toward these things.
Eunjae has been doing musicals since 2010. They went from 2013 to 2018 without participating in any but since they just did it they want to go back to it now.
If your muse was able to be a part of a supergroup that comprised of current idols, who would they want to be in the same group and why? What kind of concept would this group have? How do you think the group would do in terms of popularity?
All of the people mentioned in the answer about a special stage would be people they’d want to do a super group with. They know realistically that the fans wouldn’t be all that interested but it’d be nice to have a project of releasing high quality ballads that go beyond the boring, traditional format of ballads. It could do well considering the general public really loves ballads.
How does your muse feel about their fans? How do they feel about sasaeng fans? How would they handle a situation in which they were faced with obsessive fans that followed them or invaded their privacy? If they’ve had problems with sasaeng fans before, how did they feel about it?
Eunjae has a very sour relationship with them. They realistically know they are not all to blame for what happened but they can’t help the way they can’t trust the fans not to do that to them again. Sasaeng are annoying and the main reason they had to get extra security for their place. They hate they can’t exist without having to think about whether there’s a fan following them around or not. Mostly they just called the fans out on social media or asked the company to do something about them, not that it was effective.
Talk about your muse’s goals that they have for their group or themselves if they are a solo artist. Where would they want to promote if given the chance? Do they want to do a solo album at one point? This can be any sort of professional goal.
There’s pretty much nothing Decipher hasn’t achieved, at least not things Eunjae is interested in. They don’t care about hitting a global audience, is very much happy with what they have in Asia and could go their entire life without stepping in the US or Europe again. They do want to release a solo album, want to be able to showcase their vocals before they have to enlist.
What is your muse’s thoughts on being an idol and dating? Are they against dating? Have they ever been in a relationship after debuting? If so, talk about the challenges that have come along with dating. If they aren’t dating, would they want to date?
They personally know their dating life could never come out because they are poly and thus wouldn’t really have an “acceptable” lifestyle. Even then they do believe idols should be allowed to date without it somehow becoming a thing. It shouldn’t be a scandal that two – or more – people love each other. They have never been in a relationship that didn’t end terribly and not because of them being an idol but because of everything else. Every day Eunjae goes through wanting to be in relationships-not wanting to burden people with who they are.
Who is your muse’s ideal type? Why is this person their ideal type?
Eunjae doesn’t believe in ideal types because they can fall for pretty much anyone given the right opportunity. They are really good at finding the best in people, no matter who you are and inevitably falling in love with them.
What does your muse want to be remembered for in the idol world? Do they want to be remembered for their vocal prowess? Their image? Their dancing skills? Their scandals?
They want to be remembered for their vocal prowess for sure.
Does your muse ever regret becoming an idol? Do they ever think about what they would be doing instead if they lived a normal life? If they could go back in time, would they do everything all over again? Or would they end up doing something else?
No, they don’t. It’s a difficult life and they are kept from being able to do some things but at the same time becoming an idol took their family out of poverty, made sure their family would be able to eat and got all their siblings through university and into better lives than what they had before. They don’t think about any other reality anymore because they know this is the best that could’ve happened to them.
After working hard on promotions, your muse is given the chance to take a two week vacation anywhere in the world at any time they want, with nobody bothering them. Where would they go and when? Why would they want to take their vacation there? If they had the opportunity to bring three other people, who would they bring?
Home, to Jeonju. Simple reply but Eunjae is a homebody. There’s no place in the world they’d rather be than in their parents’ house. They’d take their siblings with them so they could all have some family time to relax together before going back to their busy lives.
Talk about your muse’s low point in life. Why was this a low point in their life? What kind of challenges did they face and how did they feel about this? Were they able to overcome it? If it is still ongoing, are they working on overcoming these challenges?
Eunjae is definitely a cup half full person as much as they are also very melancholic and get overwhelmed by feelings often. The adversities of idol life have nothing on the years they spent with their parents as a child when sometimes their parents struggled to feed everybody. Eunjae knows poverty and they think nothing can go lower than that. Everything else they can get through.
Talk about your muse’s most meaningful moment as an idol. This is what they feel so far is the highest point in their life and where they’ve never been happier. Recall the memory and describe it; what happened and how did they feel?
Decipher’s tenth anniversary. For such a fleeting industry, it’s not every single day that a group hits five, seven and much less ten. They didn’t think, back when they debuted, that they’d still be together after so long, so when Decipher got to do their tenth anniversary showcase, it was the happiest moment of Eunjae’s entire career, even happier than getting a daesang or selling out Tokyo Dome.
Think about your muse’s life down the road. Where would they be and what would they be doing? Would they still be in the entertainment industry? Would they settle down and have a family?
Eunjae wants to keep singing for as long as they live. When time comes that the industry doesn’t really want them anymore, they’ll just go back to the ajaeng, to doing classic music performances. They are sure someone, somewhere will want to listen to them and as long as there’s anyone interested, they’ll want to perform to them. Even if it’s just one person. It’s uncertain whether Eunjae would ever want to settle down but it’s more likely they wouldn’t. Not for a long time at least. They’d want kids but they don’t want monogamous relationships.

It’s time again Minhee set up little mukbang in her room making sure she applied little light make-up to hide how tired she looks. She made sure everything was picture perfect with the food on the table to unpack and eat in front of the camera. The female does her usual happy greeting to the fans on the live stream explaining what she got to eat today too. It’s good to show off despite being a trainee she was eating well and be healthy. Her parents would be worried if she went on extreme diets or something but Minhee tries her best to have a balanced diet and she always love her food. It felt like typical Mukbang video, people asked their usual questions yet there were few people asking if she read the netizens comments about her. “I haven’t check them out yet but I heard there are some scandals been created cause of them. How about we look at the comments together ok?” she responded while talking the camera sipping the tea.
The streamer grabbed her mobile phone looking up the netizens pages, “Ok, here we go... “
⚡️〖  @11NABIYA  〗 ⋅  10mi’m also super glad that that minhee chick got a center because i remember her from convex’s mansae mv and she was BEAUTIFUL 😍⚡️
〖  @11NABIYA  〗 ⋅  9m i’ve also seen some of her youtube videos and she’s pretty cute though popularity-wise (mb even talent 🤧), i think luna or even sooyoung from mgas2 has her beat 🤗”
Minhee read the female tweets out loud for them to read then while smiling with a nod, “Thank you 11nabiya for calling me beautiful and cute. I agree though Luna and Sooyoung are very popular & talented. I felt privileged to work alongside them during performances. I feel even though they’re younger than me, they teach me a lot on how to be a better performer.” The words were sincere and honest as she knew that she still had a long way to go and strive to get better in the craft but like everything, things like this take a lot of time. “Maybe one day, I’ll do a collaboration with those lovely ladies! Keep an eye out of that-” she said with a cheeky wink.
“Okay, next netizen comment--” she said as looks at another thing as Minhee read cherryzen opinion about her making her laugh and smile at the same time.  “if sooyoung was super pretty, then minhee is a…what? a collosal pretty!” she couldn’t help smile bashfully at the comment, not even sure how to react. She was used to be called pretty by others but now it seems the public has been saying the same thing. “Oh goodness- what is even collosal pretty, ah I feel so flattered what is even this....other than that. I do promise to keep working hard to improving my performance skills which include dancing hopefully cherryzen you’ll look forward seeing my progress and you’re right if I don’t even debut, I always got my channel & fans to fall back on. However, I wish to become an idol and hopefully one day I’ll be worthy enough to debut but for now, I still got a lot to learn which is my own personal opinion.” It is always best to be honest with others to make it easier the audience to find relatable.
The stream continues on, she did fanservice aegyo every time when someone donated money to her which always helps. Some people asked her opinions on the current new groups out right now, “Well, I always support Convex as they’re like my brothers from another mother, sphere is like family to me! That real reason why I reject them all in the music video, I can’t date my brothers, that’s so weird-” she joked playfully laughing covering her mouth with her fist. “Then we got Royal Luxe, I love them so much especially Yena-- as she’s my adorable friend of me but I also realize I haven’t spoken much about KT’s eclipse...well you see I love their music and especially Ariel.. I hope the sea witch doesn’t steal her voice cause it’s beautiful right? I believe they got great potential and do hope the best of them too.” It kind of nice talking with people this way as she couldn’t really socialize with people as much she used to due to training most of the time. The video slowly came to the end, the food was finished and it was time say goodnight to her fans. It seems her fanbase is steadily growing bigger especially thanks to the exposure of the samsung concert. Maybe she should create a name for little fandom, she probably asks them to think of it as she rather not pick herself.

Seventeen Appreciation Post
Look I'm the biggest supporter of BTS, and I always will be. I'm so appreciative for everything they've done and accomplished. I'm proud of the movements they've been a part of. I'm especially proud of the changes they've undergone to be better people and better idols. They've been outspoken and unrelenting about it, and that's very good for change.
I'd just like to give credit to another group. Another boy group who might be under the radar because of certain aesthetics or genre preferences.
I'm, of course, talking about Seventeen. A group of thirteen boys who debuted in May 2015, under Pledis Entertainment. They have concepts that are always light-hearted and fun with their title tracks, and that is kind of what makes them so unique, in my opinion. There is a positive energy surrounding them, and it's always enjoyable listening and watching them perform.
Since their debut, they have improved leaps and bounds as musicians, but also as people and as the face of their company. (I plan on adding links as soon as I can find credible sources with the translations.)
1. There are members who actively defy gender stereotypes, especially when it comes to clothing. Vernon has been especially vocal about it. Also, Jeonghan.
2. There are some member who are stuck in certain expectations for what qualifies as "beautiful," but others members are quick to correct them. This has involved eye shape and darker skin color. Not only does this help the others perspective, it also gives them confidence with parts of their body they might be insecure about.
3. There have been a few instances with some of their earlier songs they used female oriented pronouns, but have changed them in the recent years to be more gender neutral. This is inclusive to all fans. (For example, the performance teams song "Highlight" is completely gender neutral. If this is incorrect, please let me know. I've looked at about half a dozen translations and see no gendered language in the lyrics!)
4. Jeonghan. Let's give a brief moment to Yoon Jeonghan, fellow '95 liner and my bias (so I'm biased...). In the beginning he was known as the boy with the long hair and the more feminine look and style. Never once did Jeonghan feel pressure to change his hair or style. The boys never teased him, and you'll see in multiple videos the other boys actually playing and brushing his hair (I'm looking at you Choi Seungcheol.). He chopped his hair off, and then just recently colored it blonde. And yet, there is still a very real androgynous look to him, and it's incredibly nice to see a boy in his position be comfortable in his skin to keep that edge to him. I'm going to relate this to f(x) Amber and her influence on other younger girls. Jeongan will help other boys be far more comfortable in their skin.
5. Seventeen are absolute KINGS at treating all musicians songs with the utmost respect and understanding, while still putting their own edge to it to make it theirs. They've done multiple concepts of popular boys and girls groups songs. They've not only exceeded my expectations, but have done both with the level of respect and admiration that I appreciate. This is a quiet way of supporting girl groups, but it is still important!
6. They actively promote good health. Their company is one of the few that pulls their idols out of schedules so they can fully rest and recover completely before they join schedules again. Taking care of your self is important, and the boys always support each other when that happens.
7. Seventeen has four foreign members. Vernon is more culturally Korean, but can speak both Korean and English. While there are two Chinese members, and LA native, Joshua. All of the members are exceedingly patient and encouraging when it comes to the three learning and speaking Korean. The same is reversed for the foreign speakers helping them with other languages.
8. Trauma by the Hip Hop Unit. Please listen to it. Please read (credible) the translation. I will let it speak for itself.
9. Communication. There are a lot of members in Seventeen. Misunderstandings and disagreements are bound to happen. In fact we were able to witness it on one of there Going Seventeen episodes. There was a disagreement and some members were left angry and hurt. After a few minutes to cool off, the older members gathered everyone again and they talked. They didn't want feelings to be hurt or left feeling like their opinion didn't matter. They communicated with one another, worked it out, and were left with everyone on the same page. If this isn't a great testament to their teamwork, I'm not sure what is. Having disagreements with the people you love is important, it's more important to work through it together in a positive and constructive way. When you truly care about someone, you want to make things work. It's healthy for any relationship, especially for a group of thirteen differing personalities. I commend them for that.
10. They're good at their job. They're extremely good at their job. From their first album to their most recent, they are always raising the bar and surpassing it. They challenge themselves and each other. They show off each members talents in sub-units and showcase them because they all bring something to the team. They play a part in production, composition, their choreography, their videos, and their stages. That freedom allows them to be as good and refreshing as they are, and I think it's why they're so successful. When you give artists freedom to do what they love, they will prosper.

[TRANS] Hoya/Lee Howon Interview with Sports DongA (8  Feb 2018)
Tumblr media
[DA:interview] Hoya→Lee Howon, a 27-year-old youth beginning to stand on his own
Translation by @Yeolsprout (posted and edited with permission, please take out with proper credit)
After withdrawing from the group INFINITE last June, ‘Hoya’ is now standing on his own as Lee Howon. The first step he took was (towards) the musical ‘Sandglass’. He wasn’t able to watch the drama as he was (too) young back then, and wasn’t able to feel its popularity either. In an environment full of strange and unfamiliar things, he carried with him not fear but rather the confidence and thought/mindset that he would be able to pull it off.
He initially challenged the musical (thinking) “Let’s just give this a shot.” However, it has now become a genre he wants to (keep) try(ing). “I merely just grabbed onto the chance I stumbled upon, and that chance became (such) a surprising experience,” said Lee Howon, calling it as luck that came his way.
“After entering (the musical field), the musical world was more ardent that what I had imagined it to be. I was impressed to see all the actors intensely analysing their scripts and thinking about their characters. That’s why I think that I (was able to) enjoy the process of making this musical (with the others). I felt more at ease too as it wasn’t a stage I would be standing alone on, but one where we all stood together.”
Lee Howon played the role of ‘Jaehee’, a bodyguard protecting the female lead ‘Hyerin’. Lee Jungjae quickly became a rising star having played that same role in the drama of the same name. It was required (of him) to demonstrate various action scenes as well, including kendo. Were there no burdens in having to perform in so many different areas (just for one role). He responded that “I never watched the drama while rehearsing for this musical. Instead, I wanted to create my own (style of) ‘Jaehee’ and show something in the musical that’s different from the drama (version).”
“Perfecting kendo wasn’t too much (of a thing to be done). It’s just that my bronchial tubes are not (so) good so there were times I found it difficult when I had to moderate my breathing if I made strenuous movements. and (I/we) had to be careful since it’s kendo and one mistake from anyone could cause an injury to happen. On top of that I had to practice other scenes too, so for example for scenes involving kendo, I wasn’t able to work in sync (with the others). but even so, the (other) actors were all pro(fessionals) so I thought that (the audience) would easily be able to feel that i was in sync with them.”
How was the acting bit. ‘Jaehee’ didn’t have lots of parts in the musical. Regarding this, he said “it doesn’t matter whether i appear for 10 minutes or only 1 minute. What’s more important is that I do my best so that I’m able to deliver my character to the audience well even if it’s only for a short period of time.”
“I worked hard trying to show the worried/concerned side of (my character) for loving Hyerin. but Jaehee is (positioned) at some corner in the musical. (Laughs) but there were people who watched my acting and were able to grasp my intention. I’m thankful and relieved for that.”
Tumblr media
As mentioned earlier, Lee Howon left INFINITE last year. He mentioned that he still has huge interest and concern for the members and fans even after his departure from the team. At the end of the interview he even said “I want to tell the fans that I love them”. When asked why he left the group, he answered seriously, saying “I wanted to get to know myself (more). (I wanted) to worry solely for myself (and) I couldn’t bring harm* to the members (while doing so).”
“I’ve only been looking at one road (in front of me) all this while ever since my trainee days. having experienced the singer life after debuting(,) I heard multiple times (people) saying that ‘you must do this (if you want to be) an idol’. I had to be careful with everything I said and/or did as the many eyes of those who love me a lot were watching. But I’m getting older too, and I’m becoming curious about everything and I wanted to give my opinion regarding that too but I wasn’t able to do so as I might bring harm* to the team. I felt that I was trapping myself. Which is why i came to that decision after giving it much thought.”
Despite worries from his current agency, Lee Howon mentioned that the reason why he’s able to confidently talk about his previous group was definitely not because there were any conflicts between him and the team members [t/n: meaning there’s no conflict between them]. He emphasised that “I was simply worried that my mentioning (of them) that act itself would bring harm* to the members, (and it’s) not because something had happened between us.”
What are the plans for Lee Howon who has successfully (begun to) stand on his own. He said, “I want to make the music I like with the people I like. It’s also my dream and goal to do a performance with that music.” He stated that he would especially want to try doing R&B, and make and let (everyone) listen to the R&B as interpreted by him.
“I tried planning for the distant future when I was younger(,) but now my dream is to set down one big goal and slowly work my way towards it. For now (my goal) is to release an album. I’ve been working on it since 2 years ago and it’s almost completed (by now). What kind of songs are included? There are many different songs but I’ve put in my emotions and feelings from when I was going through tough times into the song(s). And there are also songs catering to those fans in their 10s listening to my music. Calling it a ‘lesson (to learn)’ would be misleading(, so I’ll say that) I’ve kind of included a little ‘message’, haha.”
Tumblr media
Lee Howon revealed that not only (does he want to do) music(,) he wants to keep doing acting as well. with the recent end of MBC (drama) ‘Two Cops’ Lee Howon mentioned that he has become much closer with actor Jo Jungseok. He said that “I learnt a lot in terms of acting from Jo Jungseok-hyung while (we were filiming) the drama. Even just watching (him) was a lesson itself.”
“Jungseok-hyung started out as a musical actor so (people) would know (who he is) just by the mention of his name. He likes being up on stage so (we) kept talking only about musical stuff. And he’s good at acting to begin with. I’d say I felt like I attended a lesson for free by being beside (him)? I’m really thankful to him.”
The thing he wants to try/challenge the most is none other than ‘theatrical acting’. Lee Howon said that “casting (calls) for dramas are slowly coming in so I think I won’t be able to attempt theatre right now. But I’d like to try it someday.”
“In particular, I want to try (theatrical) acting (in a) small theatre. (Especially since) ‘Sandglass’ and ’Two Cops’ are (productions) made by a really large number of actors and staff. Which is why I can’t imagine how it’d be like to be standing on a stage (that fits only) 3~4 actors. I’m also thinking how it’d be like to be spending a lot time absorbing [t/n: meaning memorising & familiarising] a script with lots of lines/parts (for me). And I definitely want to try (acting in) a jukebox musical comprising of music by the late Kim Kwangseok. I really like his music so it would be an honor if i could (act in such a production). 27 years old where (I) want to be at (my) peak!”
[*t/n: bring harm (in this context) = to bring negative impact in any form which may result in ‘harming’/negatively affecting others.]

PART B — THE QUESTIONNAIRE.
Who are your role models? “i have a lot of role models... but if i had to name a few, my biggest role models are my brother, electra sunbaenims, and halcyon’s minjun sunbaenim!”
Do you have any nicknames? If so, what do your friends or family call you? “i don’t have a lot of nicknames but i’m often called minnie by my close peers and seniors! i’m also sometimes called min, but that’s rarely the case as everyone likes to reference my name with the disney character [ minnie mouse ] instead.”
What are your favorite foods? What would you recommend to fans? “i love all types of food though i love desserts the most! my favorite desserts to eat are tiramisu and fresh berry cream cake! i definitely recommend those desserts to try.”
What are some places that you would like to go but haven’t been to yet? “i’ve never been outside of korea yet, so i would really love to travel anywhere and everywhere! if i can name the top three cities i would love to visit most, they would be barcelona, tokyo, and honolulu!”
What would you say to a fan who is struggling? “it must be hard right now. i can’t even imagine what you must be going through but i do know that you are strong and able to overcome any hardship as long as you can believe in yourself. after all, you’ve made it this far along, right? keep pushing on and one day, it’ll all pay off for you. i promise. and until that day comes and even after, i’ll always support you.”
Are there any languages you speak besides your native tongue? What other languages would you like to learn? “so far, i’m only fluent in korean but i know english well enough to hold a short conversation even if my accent gets in the way sometimes. i’m still learning english though along with basic japanese.”
What are your three favorite songs at the moment? “that’s such a hard question... well, lately, i’ve been listening to a variety of music... but i especially love music that i can build choreography for! so the three songs that have been on my mind lately because of that are ‘there for ya’ by lil cats featuring ovococo, ‘talking to myself’ by gallant, and ‘new rules’ by dua lipa!”
Did you always know you wanted to be famous as a child? Was your family supportive? “i don’t think i really considered wanting to be famous when i was younger until i was scouted by hjh. however, the idea of becoming famous didn’t really hit me until a few years ago when the company began releasing our names to the public. now that some people can recognize me on the streets, it’s becoming a little of a culture shock. and although they were hesitant on allowing me become an idol trainee, i really couldn’t have made it as long as i did without my family’s support so i’m grateful that i have it.”
Why did you decide to become a trainee? “i think a lot of it has to do with my brother’s influence. even though i was really shy as a kid, he always encouraged me whenever i played the piano for him, danced, or even sang a song. when he found out that i was scouted by hjh, even though he thought i was too young to pursue training, he assured me that if i really wanted to do it, he would support me in my efforts. i think that’s what really encouraged me to go through with it in the end.”
Where do you see yourself in 10 years from now? “ten years is a long time from now, but hopefully i would still be involved with the industry somehow whether it be in music or in acting. of courser, my biggest goal right now is to debut first!”
What is something no one knows about you? "even though it probably doesn’t look like it, aside from music courses, my best subject in school was social studies!”
Describe your family. Who are the members in your family? “my family is small but supportive. my father is someone who’s quiet but dependable while my mother is very kind and warm-hearted. my brother is someone who is very independent and strong while my dog kero keeps me company when i need it the most.”
How was your childhood? What was it like? “i don’t really remember my childhood too well aside from my memories with my current family, but for the most part, i like to think i had a very loving childhood!”
If you weren’t pursuing the path to fame, where do you think you would be? “i think i would still be a college student for the most part, but probably with a focus on sports or something relating to social studies? though honestly, it’s really difficult for myself to imagine me doing anything else but music now.”
Write a message to your fans — What would you like to say to them? “hello! this is trainee group princess’ moodmaker, bae minhee! although princess hasn’t debuted yet, on behalf of myself and the rest of the members, i would like to say that we are so grateful for your support and for your interest in our group thus far! we really appreciate all the love and encouragement you have given us and hope that we can meet your expectations once we debut! please anticipate us and i hope we can meet each other again soon!”
