theres this thing i don’t understand abt the binding of isaac. the story is isaac confronting his own religious trauma and familial abuse in the form of a story he can understand as he suffocates to death. right? like the plot itself is fairly simple all the gameplay is just to serve as metaphors for his abuse and sort of analyze him as a character.

but theres this between floor transition scene where it shows the lost speaking to his mom from the attic and i assume hes acting as the god we hear in the opening cutscene right? why is that there. we know the “your son has become corrupt!” thing is not literally happening its just a story isaac has made up but why would he include his own dead soul commanding his mother to kill him in his story? maybe its just kids being creative and strange

Went to the doctor

Have to get back into antidepressants. Trying a new one. They also don't believe I have ADHD, which is fair. All he has to go off w is my own self diagnosis which ethically he can't do anything with that. But what bothers me is that he said in the time I've been his patient he has never suspected it. Like PTSD and depression yes, but not ADHD.

I like to think I don't make it obvious but now it's making me doubt if I have it, even though I feel like everything I've seen by ADHD specialist psychologists resonate w my life experience. I was never good at trusting myself but this is making my self doubt even worse.

Good news is that my blood tests came back normal. No autoimmune stuff going on so that's good. Forgot to ask about some blood spots coming up on my legs. Other good news is that I have a certificate for the next few weeks (while I'm taking the new antidepressants and hoping they make my chronic pain better) that I have to work 3 days max/week instead of the 4 bc it was too much for me.

A federal judge rejected a request Wednesday to stall New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ plan to forcibly hospitalize mentally ill homeless people living on streets and subways ahead of the winter months. 

The plan, unveiled by the Democratic mayor on Nov. 29, would see EMS and joint patrols of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the New York City Police Department transporting individuals with "untreated psychotic disorders who pose a risk of harm to themselves even if they are not an imminent threat to the public."

In a written order Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Paul Crotty decided it was premature for a coalition of lawyers, which included New York Lawyers for the Public Interest and the National Alliance on Mental Illness of New York City, to seek emergency relief from the plan.

Without ruling on specifics, Crotty said the coalition failed to prove Adams’ plan would currently cause irreparable harm, arguing the city hasn’t progressed the initiative beyond basic training for superior officers, the New York Daily News reported.

"When the all the evidence is heard, we are confident that the Court will agree that the City’s compassionate efforts to assist people suffering from homelessness and severe mental illness, comply with federal and state law."

At the hearing, the Manhattan federal judge asked whether anyone has been directly impacted by the initiative, to which City Hall lawyer Alan Scheiner responded no, "not a single example of someone taken into custody because of this initiative," news publication The City reported. Crotty also referenced a class-action lawsuit filed on behalf of Steven Greene, a 26-year-old diagnosed with posttramautic stress disorder and attention deficit disorder who claims he has been detained by police and involuntarily hospitalized more than three times since 2020. 

Despite those hospitalizations coming before Adams even ran for office, Greene claims that as a result of the mayor’s announcement, his PTSD exacerbated, and he doesn't leave home "constantly fearful that my mental disability will cause an NYPD officer to forcibly and violently detain me and hospitalize me against my will."

His attorney, Luna Droubi, contended the policy is unconstitutional and violates the Americans With Disabilities Act. 

Adams defended the plan, saying officials would not be making arrests.

"If we are saying let’s leave the status quo, those who are saying that, it’s basically stating leaving people on the streets who cannot take care of their basic needs, and they are a danger to themselves or others. That’s inhumane," Adams said on Dec. 10.

"I am not going to do that. I’m going to make sure we give people the care they need," he said. "We are not taking everyone who has a mental illness into custody. We’re not arresting people. So, all of this hysteria that’s being raised, it’s totally in conflict with New Yorkers."

I remember how people told me this is Archer from after UBW? Then why is he still talking down to his heroic deeds and NOT stating his name? I know fanfics like to make that Emiya post FSN gets summoned and he’s still ‘I’m a Nameless hero etc’ but considering he embraces his inner Shirou, don’t you think he would be more on the line of ‘Heroic Spirit Emiya, I have answered your summons. What hero am I? Let’s just say I am no one important’ especially when summoned with Rin, he was so pretentious about her name since names meant trust but he couldn’t just out and say he was Shirou so he had to be ‘I don’t know who I am’ and stuff.

Also, though Archer sees himself ‘corrupted’ or not a hero, I would hardly think he would call himself a ‘necessary evil’--it’s still running on the logic of ‘the ends justify the means’ type of deal. I don’t even think Archer thought anything he did was evil. He just regretted his life because after he became a CG he became a murderer. Nameless isn’t a CG, right, so that means he did some shady a stuff in life (aka Kerry style).

Yeah, so like Kerry. Kerry would’ve slaughtered 10 innocents to save a million innocents. Kerry would’ve killed Illya to take out Berserker--that was his justice, that is society’s justice. Archer hypocritically told Shirou ‘kill the master to take the servant out’ then proceeded to never do this in regards to Illya, hell not even with Sakura. Shirou/Archer followed a different sort of justice that I wouldn’t say relied on societal views.... hence the Mind of Steel ending was one where Shirou chose Kerry’s life--do you think Nameless is a Shirou who went down that route...?
