i genuinely love rhetorical devices and shit so much. as like a kid i was always like ugh this is so annoying but now i read a poem and half of it is repetition and i feel it in my fucking CORE

petrigrof is going to make me sad forever now that we've seen how it ends actually. they still love each other so much, they're still the loves of each other's lives -- yes there were issues, yes they could've made better choices, but neither of them regret the time they spent together, even if it hurt sometimes. they don't want to let go, but they both understand now that it's best thing they can do for one another.
the love is still there. it always will be. even if they've stopped chasing after it.

14. Do you have any headcanons for what happened post-Ultima Thule? What kind of injuries did they suffer, or did they walk it off like a boss? Did they take a lengthy vacation, did you shove a time skip in there before 6.1 hit? Or was it quickly off to the next adventure? (x)
After Ultima Thule, Corisande had a multitude of cuts and fractures that required a weeks-long stay in the infirmary in Old Sharlayan, where her friends made sure someone was always by her bedside. After being cleared to leave and returning to Mor Dhona for the last meeting of the Scions, they went with Y'shtola to stay in Matoya's cave while she worked on her book. They stayed there a few weeks, exploring the Relict and the Great Gubal Library together while Matoya pretended she was unhappy they were there. Soon though, Tataru brought Corisande word of the private island in the Cieldalaes, and after talking it over with Y'shtola, decided to spend some time there on their own for some extra peace and quiet.

gideon nav is so compelling to me as a character bc like. you would never guess that her arc was going to be about her not valuing herself. everything about most of the first book sets her up to be this really cool and chill protagonist who is butch and is strong and athletic and who is attractive to the people around her. between her and harrow if you had to guess who has the self loathing arc without knowing anything about the characters you’d immediately say harrow. but then she throws herself down on that spike without a second thought and it suddenly clicks for you (once you stop screaming from grief and shock) that she threw her life away for harrow so fast. and then it only gets cemented in her pov in htn where she says just wanted harrow to use her. it never occurs to her to just live for harrow. she acts like she doesn’t deserve to think like that. there are plenty of characters out there who have similar central character conflicts but not only have i never seen a character like gideon at all, i never expected a character as unique and wonderful as gideon to also have such a compelling central conflict. i expected her to just be like fully dumb hot woman with a sword with no further character depth and be disappointed but not surprised. in conclusion the locked tomb has essentially raised my bar for characters in all media forever basically lmao, and also i love the character gideon nav more than life itself
