Edit: There seems to be some confusion as to what this post is saying. Some people are mistaking it for an Arthur hate post while some people are believing it is disregarding the fact that John is roughly ten years younger than he is in RDR1, and therefore disregarding all that time he had to grow between games.

Rest assured; it is not doing any of these things.

It is just pointing out that by R*’s own admission they did not want John to overshadow Arthur, and that especially from the perspective of someone who played RDR1 first, what happened to John is a massive unneeded retcon which ends up hurting both characters.

Simply put, if R* had just had more confidence in Arthur as a character, or at the very least, had mentioned him at some point in RDR1, what this post was originally complaining about would not be an issue.

Is it just me, or is Arissomei just yassified fakeclaiming? I've also seen Arissomei terms being coined like "this term is for folks who think they're an animal/anime character (with the subtext of "but they're not actually said animals/characters, they're just delusional humans :3", thus being extremely anti-alterhuman), and i can't fathom why this shit keeps slipping under the radar.

I genuinely think this term does more harm than good.

If i remember correctly, there was a term that basically meant "a headmate that had/was x in their source but lives in a body that hasn't/isn't x", and in case it wasn't actually coined lemme know so i can coin it myself. A term like this respects the headmate's own unique identity while also aknowledging the body's status and privileges (if appliable).

Here's some alternative, non-radqueer terms i personally suggest:

- Parethnic;

- Aldernic;

- Fictionkin;

- Endel;

- Atypical Dysphoria;

- Introject/Fictive/Factive of (insert source)

None of these step on the person's perception just for the sake of spitting on another group of unrelated people out of spite.

And, at the end of the day, if you do genuinely identify as Arissomei, more power to ya! I ain't nobody to try and police what y'all do with your identites, this is more of a personal vent than anything worthy of feeling bad for /genuine

I'm really sad because my favorite word processor, the one baked-in in Windows 7, that is free and offline and has a built-in dictionary, was discontinued, and I can't find any versions of it to download. And I don't really like my current options that are free. Google Docs is free, and probably the best option I think, but it's online and I feel like I'm fighting with the formatting. I won't pay for a word processor, so MS Word is out. LibreOffice is probably my next best option, and my best offline option, but I still don't much care for it.

I want my emotional support word processor on Windows 7 that I was using since I was 11 that I used to write all my wolf stories and fan fictions. Back when I still used Windows 7, I had a shortcut pinned to my bar that went straight to the dictionary that was inside the word processor, too, so I could immediately look something up if I wasn't sure. I LOVED that. Because it was OFFLINE so I could use it whenever I wanted!!

I literally got back to one of my more active group chats after going to my uncle's wedding in NYC to see someone discussing THEY were going to NYC soon, only to be IMMEDIATELY met with someone wringing their hands over how NYC is so dangerous and they should stay safe etc etc. I literally jumped in and said, word for word, "well I was literally just there yesterday, I think you'll be fine."

I am sick sick SICK of people looking at where I live and telling me to be ~extra~ careful about my valuables or locking my house. There is NOT more crime here than there is in any fancy little suburban area. The most "crime" you'll see in NYC other than poor people being penalized for being poor is fucking turnstile hopping.

if i say i got 6 out of 9 i wanted you’d expect me not to complain. but it’s the 3 that i didn’t want that got it that make me so annoyed. bc those places should’ve been keita, jongwoo and phanbin. it should’ve been the people making moments and shaping these performances. and i can try to make peace with it as much as possible, but them being there just makes it a group that makes no sense to me. and that’s why one pick voting sucks. it encourages you to pursue a person and not a group when that’s never what you do in kpop. you like the group for the group, not an individual. for all means, make voting where you select your favorite, but you should be able to vote for a group. your dream group, where you can think about dynamics and the make up and how they gel and work together. that’s what i love about kpop. seeing people work together. it’s not a solo thing, otherwise you would follow soloists. this is a group, and mnet needs to let us vote for our dream group, not a single shiny boy.
