I love your artwork so much! Your colors are so vibrant and none of the white speckles in the paper ever shows, its so impressive and I really dig it! I was wondering if you use any sort of blending medium? Like baby oil or anything? Either way, I really enjoy looking at your artwork and I'm always excited to see whatever you'll make next

I use a colorless blender (prismacolor, which is wax-based so baby oil probably wouldnt work) but my scanner is also rly bad about picking up white specks in a way photographing the art with my phone isnt, so I usually have to do some digital editing to get rid of them as well.

I do this by duplicating the layer, setting the one on top to "darken," and using the mixer brush to blend out the white spots + just use the eyedropper tool to select the color of that area (needs to be a slightly lighter shade of it) and color over the white spots with the brush tool

fr i want a list of art related new year resolutions bc i finally feel like i have a goal and some progress. so yeah The List:

- ermm getting faster. might include tracking time and stopping listening to music all the time and actually making 19472 sketches before drawing and changing techniques and maybe even using layers properly. gotta be hard and i think i tried doing that in 2024 and well you saw the results. i have no identity now. not lovin it;

- trying out some traditional stuff. i am no paper person and it means i spend soo much time on the computer it's embarrassing. maybe paper will save me. i got some ideas but im not sharing them yet;

- appreciating common artistic moves. like when a teacher adds funky animations to their powerpoint or when a small shop owner decorates their place with paper snowflakes. like this is art damn ! i only recently started loving this shit and it makes me a happier person;

- letting myself be pretentious about my art. idk how to explain but ever since young age ive been so afraid to be a tiny bit paphos about what im doing because 🥺 what if it's cringe 🥺 but now i Know It Is Cringe and i know Wonderful Cool People Im Trying To Impress (4 of my mutuals) somehow happened to like cringe so i can afford getting even more insufferable :ь;

- trying out drawing outside ! damn i want that so bad ! to jus be sitting out there on a bench and doodling shit i Don't Know what's holding me back. maybe cold. maybe my vision. i still need to try it so bad;

- maybe 👉👈 drawing clueless ppl outdoors 👉👈 like they're sitting somewhere in a train 👉👈 and i could draw them 👉👈 if i wore my glasses 👉👈 ppl told me it helps A Lot but im a coward !

- vandalism;

- adding so many shits to one drawing... my dreamm.... to draw something like that happy-dolphins-hopping-out-of-the-water meme... .. . it may include getting some composition knowledge.. .. ;

- Trace at least one art from every one of my mutuals. half done btw. yes this is the type of person i am.

my 2025 resolutions

i thought it might be fun to go over what my new year resolutions are for 2025 :3 so, in no particular order:

read more. i only read 2 books this year despite setting a goal of 15, although i'm not particularly disappointed that i didn't reach that goal. it was a tough year, i went through a lot. i'm not gonna beat myself up over it. still, now that i'm doing better, i definitely want to read more this year, so i've set a goal of 5 for now. :)

start exploring more creative hobbies besides writing. for example, i started cross stitching back in either september or october, and now i've got a fairly large project i just started that i'm very excited about. also i got a miniature build-it-yourself diorama kit from my sister for christmas, so hopefully we can get started on that fairly soon!

speaking of writing, i'd like to write more. in regards to fanfic, finishing true colors is my number one priority right now, but i'm hoping i can also finally make some headway on the third chapter of trial and error. and i'm just gonna be honest, at this point i'm not entirely sure about the future of the lost children. i will say, while i haven't definitively abandoned it (not sure i'll ever be able to truly abandon it since it's pretty much my life's work lol), it is very low on my list of priorities right now.

and in regards to my original work, i'd like to start working on a detailed outline for the dk series since, as it stands now, i really only have a vague idea of where i want things to go and i definitely think having an outline will help get things moving a bit more quickly.

oh,and play more video games! 2024 was definitely the most disappointing year so far in terms of playing at least one new game every month, and i am determined to do better this year (although, since i'm so busy these days, i might change it so that i only have to play one game every two months).

i might add more to this list at some point if i think of anything else, but for now, that's it.

One of my coworkers asked what my resolutions were gonna be and i don’t really have any so I said was that I wanted to meet sapnap this year

It may be a stretch but I want to be able to tell him how much I appreciate him

My 10 big goals for the coming year- I don’t need to finish them all but I want a starting point

1) make a collage series idk about what yet but this is future me’s issue

2) finish my temperature blanket

3) continue learning German and Arabic and be B2 in German and A1 in Arabic by the end of next year

4) see a therapist again or at least get my anxiety under control

5) fill my house with cat furniture (make cat furniture a priority)

6) have my clothes fit more comfortably and have my swimming times better (I’m not a pro athlete but I want to see some sort of improvement)

7) start reading again (finish 10 books of any kind- also audio books also count)

8) make another sweater for my spouse and make myself a sweater

9) See the Solar Eclipse

10) Declutter the house

Optional 11) get a matching tattoo with my spouse (maybe they also have to agree)
