You know those posts that are like "it's so hard to be a Jedi fan who also loves Luke/Anakin/Ahsoka/etc"? Here's mine.
It's so hard to be a Jedi fan who also loves the clones sometimes. And I do love the clones, I genuinely think the only good thing to have come out of TCW was the way it changed the characterization of the clones for good.
But damn so many clone fans just really hate the Jedi and can't STAND when we Jedi fans dare to just talk about the Jedi instead of the clones in any given situation.

Some observations and thoughts about The Mandalorian Season 2
I've been rewatching The Mandalorian season 2 and have noticed so many things I never caught the first time around.
One of the bigger things thus far is from "The Believer". What I always loved about the show is how confident, steadfast and human Din Djarin is. Literally, the man is stuck wearing practically paper Empire armor when facing the pirates, runs out of ammo, and still gets the job done.
He's ran headfirst into heavy gunfire multiple times on the show, been in pretty deadly situations, but never let it show. He never faltered.
Yet, the moment he takes off the helmet and encounters Valin Hess, he stumbles. He does, to his credit, try, asserting himself through his lie, but it crumbles so quickly. So fast that Mayfield, who was afraid Hess would recognize him, steps in to save him.
Din's vulnerable, unsure and losing every inch of that persona we've seen since the show began. Yet Mayfield, who had been aiding Din up until this point, easily takes control of the situation. Yes, he was ex-Empire and knew enough to try to diffuse the situation, but Din remained defenseless and practically helpless. He couldn't even come up with a fake name.
I thought that was such a minor yet compelling detail, whether intentional or not. It showed a side to Din we hadn't seen before, which makes him all the more likable and relatable. I cannot express how important it was for that detail to be shown.
Also, bonus points for the scene where Din removed his helmet. It wasn't drawn out with an epic score building in the background. It was quick yet effective, which made it all the more powerful.
When the helmet wouldn't suffice and he only had seconds to remove it, or else lose his one chance to find Grogu, Din didn't think twice nor have a single look of regret. That is one of Pedro's major strengths as an actor that most don't have and can't do. He can completely emote without needing to speak nor move.
If it weren't for the season finale, "The Believer" would probably be the best episode of season 2.

i fucking LOVE y'all's star wars oc's, esp the amazing and beautiful nonhumans,,
so when i watch new star wars shows and the main & background characters are like 98% humans it's kinda frustrating like??? there are SO MANY wonderful sw alien designs out there and SO MUCH room for creativity but oooohhhh nnnooooooo another plain ol human being coming RIGHT UP 😒🥱

I wanna start drawing star wars fanart this summer, i even have an age old star wars fanart blog that i have only posted something like,,, twice to, bc i have this deep unsettled feeling about making sw content bc in college i had a brief moment there where I went from being a huge star wars fan since i first saw the movies as like a baby to being completely apathetic to the whole franchise (bc some douchebag decided to "quiz" me on how good of star wars fan (aka how well i knew trivia from the extended universe/books, of which i'd only read a few) and then publicly mocked me for being a fake fan so I stopped liking star wars after that and have only in recent years slowly started enjoying the franchise again... and On Top of that I have yet to see the last of the sequel trilogy (rise of skywalker) bc it looked so damn bad, plus i hate reylo with a burning passion lmao, but i do feel like not having seen it (and in fact, not having seen Every Star Wars Thing or Read Every Star Wars Thing) means yes, maybe i AM a fake fan and Shouldn't make star wars fanart/content,,,
idk just something I'm kinda struggling with lately

I don’t get it. Who isn’t watching Andor? Sure, new viewers may find it hard cuz theirs just so much back story that they may just know nothing about it. but those that have watched Mandalorian and Rebels and the nine movies and everything else, what’s stopping you from watching, what I consider, one of the best TV shows ever? How are you choosing to ignore a story that’s been so fucking fun and brilliant??!? It’s so baffling!
