Arguments about what's canon and what's not in SW fandom are kinda pointless, I know for a fact that every fan has their personal frankensteined version of canon based on what's best for their own blorbos. I love picking up a random licensed book to sneer at half of its ideas and then steal the rest. Some shows and books and comics and whole movies are simply not incorporated into my belief system. That's how we roll

so i think a huge reason why Crosshair's character arc is so good is because it's actually so relatable

the Empire is just like soulless IRL corporations who consider anyone and everyone expendable -- even the most loyal, hard working, veteran, and skilled people. no one is truly safe in their job.

i used to think kinda like Crosshair, that my hard work and skills and going "above & beyond" and my # of years put in would get me places, would mean something. took me way too long but i finally learned otherwise. as did Crosshair. which could be why i like his character so much. (fictional clones -- they're just like us!)
