Apple Seed 12: It's Time
Charlie: (sleeping soundly for the first time in months)
Vaggie: (leaning against the doorframe to their room and just staring at Charlie with the biggest smile) Te amo, querida.
Charlie: zzZzzZzz.....
Razzle: (nestled in on the other side of the maternity pillow) ZzZzZ... Baaaaa.... ZzZzZ... Baaaaa....
Keekee: (curled up against Charlie's shoulder) zzzzz... zzzzz... zzzzz...
Vaggie: (hums fondly as she quietly slips out of her uniform, into her nightgown, and gently crawls into bed - kissing Charlie on the cheek and the swell of her belly and whispering) Buenas noches.
....
......
........
..........
Charlie: (gasps as she springs up into a seated position and grabs her belly) Oh.... oh..... oh-oh-oh-oh-oh.... (throws the blankets off of herself and sees a large puddle of wetness underneath her) Oh....shit! Vaggie?
Vaggie: (grumbles mostly asleep)
Charlie: (shakes Vaggie) Vaggie!
Vaggie: (startles awake) Huh? What is it? Another craving from Taco Hell and Billy Bongs?
Charlie: (shaky) I think my water just broke.
Vaggie: ............ (blinks and rubs her eyes before slapping herself) Say again?
Charlie: My water just broke!
Vaggie: (sees the mess in the bed and leaps into action) FUCK!!! Okay! Okay! Don't panic! We have a plan for a reason. Home birth! I'll go get your dad to call Sloth ring to get a midwife! (sprints out of the room)
Charlie: Okay. Okay. Okay. Deep breaths, Charlie. (breathes in and out slowly)
Razzle: (stares at Charlie with worry and puts his hoof on her thigh) Baa?
Charlie: It's okay, buddy. (slowly scoots to the middle of the bed and makes herself a comfortable nest of pillows) It's okay. (contraction hits) OOOOooooOoooooooooOOOOoOh.....
Vaggie: (sprinting to the Morningstar wing of the hotel and bashes against Lucifer's door) LUCIFER!!! LUCIFER, OPEN UP!!!
Lucifer: (opens the door groggily while rubbing the sleep out of his eyes) What? What? Where's the fire, Maggie?
Vaggie: Baby's coming!
Lucifer: (eyes snap open) Baby's coming?
Vaggie: Baby's coming!!!
Lucifer: Oh, shit- (snaps his fingers and instantly gets dressed in his typical suit) BABY'S COMING!!!! What do we do?! What do we do?!
Vaggie: Call Sloth Ring to get the midwife, dammit!!!
Lucifer: Right! Right! I got it! (turns around to run into his room so he can grab his phone) I can do that- (runs headfirst into the door frame) OUCH!!!
Vaggie: UuUuuuuUUUUuUUuggGGgGghhhhHhhh......

damn martin walls was not joking around when he said he was going to take the walten files in a more cinematic direction. i have to admit i was hesitant when i first heard that because i didn't know how much the series would change, but man. i was sold the second i saw the opening scene with edd and molly animated in the school gym.
everything looked great, the atmosphere was amazing, the distinct style is there still but more polished and it's so cool to see these characters moving and talking. episodes 1-3 had the scary factor (which walls himself later described as 'over-the-top') but you can really tell that walls must have an extra special talent for this new kind of storytelling. can't wait to see what episodes 5 and 6 bring, i'm sure they'll knock even this last episode out of the park.
if the walten files team can continue these types of episodes but manage to bring back some of that insane dreadful horror that made the series so famous in the first place (in a way that martin walls can still approve of; because i kind of see what he meant by calling the first three episodes 'over-the-top'), i think this fnaf knockoff scary youtube show could actually end up being, no exaggerating, a masterpiece. the three year wait was worth it. fantastic job to the entire team.

Thinking about a lot of things but mainly of how Terry Pratchett writes tiredness.
(Which means I’m mainly thinking of Sam Vimes. Which is normal.)
But he gets it so right.
The feeling behind your eyeballs. Stealing time from your future self with coffee, and, when the coffee doesn’t work anymore, going on sheer bloody mindedness because you cannot stop, you can’t. Not being sure when you last had real sleep. The strange state of mind you land in where you should absolutely not be tested because everything’s on a hair trigger, and things feel like they’re moving through treacle and your ability to make decisions feels shot to hell so you can only hope that you’re making the right choices.
Not Terry Pratchett’s words, if course, but I can’t get to my bookshelf at the moment, and, if I could, I’m not sure that I can read anymore.
I’m tired, is what I’m getting at.
And Terry Pratchett writes the whole spectrum of being human so brilliantly, but, damn, how he nails down being tired.

A bit late but Lucia for the ask game?
Ohoho, gladly!
Lucia, my underappreciated and beloved!)))
This one's sadly going to be short, cause, well. There is not much we have on Lucia at all.
favourite thing about them:
I admit, I am a sucker for her overall design and style. Of course, I also cherish her bravery, kindness and duty, but. Her visual design is just. So Good. and I am weak for redheads
To add to that, I love how her DT form pioneered the 'angelic' design and vision in DMC! It suits her perfectly, and I definitely love how dmc4 and Nero's DT in dmc5 doubled down on that foundation.
Also, we don't have that much of Lucia, which is good for female characters in Capcom games, they are safer than way.
least favourite thing about them:
We don't have that much of Lucia(((
(tho I am grateful for her small inclusion in the pre-dmc5 novel, it was very welcome and I love the idea of her keeping an eye out for Dante when she can)
favourite line
I'll be honest, besides the obvious 'Dante told me...Devils never cry!" I can't even FIND more quotes from her...this is tragic
bOTP
Her and Trish! I think them interacting might be therapeutic for both - both are afraid of losing themselves to their demonic nature, however their stories are inversed, so they can complementary support each other. I also just genuinely think they could hit it off nicely, and be besties power duo.
Though I can also see their similarities driving them away from each other, cause that's the mature thing every character in this fandom usually does.
Lucia would adore Patty and vice versa)
OTP
Dante/Lucia. They could be like, so unbelievably sweet. That stuff in entirely AU though, while I could envision a way Vergil/Lady might work out post DMC5, I can't see any way of Dante/Lucia happening in canon.
Outside of canon, I think they could be tooth-rottingly sweet. It's all very optional though.
nOTP thankfully she has no relatives to be shipped with, amiright?
random headcanon
She likes wine and trying out different kinds of it. Same as Vergil, for some reason I think she'd enjoy pottery. Also drawing, I think Matier tried her best to make Lucia interested in art and drawing lessons were part of that.
unpopular opinion none
song I associate with them
Like. I know they are very different, but it cannot be just coincidence that we have Two sidesweep redheads with tan skin and accent right???
anyway, they have nothing in common besides that (...or more like we don't have any canon info on either of them to find any similarities), buuuut I do really like Mistral's battle track, and some lines certainly could ring true for Lucia as well, so yeah.
favourite picture of them
Every picture of Lucia is my favourite picture of Lucia, However. This Fanart. It is somehow even more perfect than her original design. Which I never thought was possible.
