Dottore walked to Reader's room to make sure they took their daily medicine. The first thing he sees is you sneakily stuffing something underneath the pillows. He gets suspicious and demands to show whatever that is immediately.

... Why do you have a plushie of him?

Zandik has more questions than answers when he picks up the toy. Reader explains that they bought it from the local market which just received an import of Fontainian toys. Upon closer inspection, Dottie realizes that the toy craftsmanship is exquisite and it's not exactly a plushie, but rather a clockwork meka mechanism with only a couple of parts covered by soft fabric. All sharp points were polished, metal is durable and high-quality. His curiosity is piqued and he'd love to tear it apart and find out how it was made, but Reader protests immediately, snatching the toy from him protectively. Welps. Fine, you get to keep it. You can play with it when he is away on a mission or all of his Segments are busy. His heart always melts when he finds Reader taking a nap, their arm clutching the toy close to their chest. Zandik can't help but feel a bit envious - why would you cuddle a piece of metal when you have him? >:(

Childe returned home and the first thing that caught his attention was a loud noise of arguing upstairs. When he arrives to the scene, he is both confused, curious and amused. Reader and Teucer are having a tug of war over a toy? That's a first - you two usually get along perfectly.

Upon taking a closer look, he notices that they are fighting over a toy that looks just like him. Childe quickly separates them by taking the toy away and while they say their "sorry" to one another, he takes a good look at the cause of commotion. For his surprise, that IS a toy representing him. Reader explains that they took Teucer shopping and came across this store that sold toys based on....... Snezhnaya's best toy salesmen and saleswomen. Unfortunately, there was only one Childe left in stock. After returning home, the two got into an argument who it belongs to.

Childe cannot help but laugh at the situation and makes a deal that the two of them make a schedule: Teucer gets to play with it for one hour, then passes it for the Reader to play with for another hour, and so on.

Little did you know, Childe went to the same store the very same day and made a pre-order. Less than a week later, Reader, all three young siblings and even Childe himself had a clockwork meka toy of the best salesman in Snezhnaya!

I wish i could write Columbina, Arlecchino and Pantalone as well (heck, i'd love to do all of the Harbingers HMPH) but yeah 😅 I managed to zone-out midway writing this and now i don't remember what i wanted to write for these three so... Maybe next time!

LMAO DOTTORE 😭 You've never been good at hiding things from him unfortunately... and of course you have to give in eventually, embarrassingly enough showing him a toy you blew your Mora on (well spent though!) Dot shares your enthusiasm for the toy... just not the same type. You do not want him to open it up like a Ruin Guard and then get bored with it and leave it disassembled like his countless other projects! 😒 He lets it go... but he also can't help but wonder out of all Harbingers, why he was chosen for a toy. It must be that damn banker's scheme...

He does find your affection for the toy a bit cute... at first. Though he was interested in it at first, he's growing to resent it a bit... is it really all that fun to play with. Not to mention... he could totally make a better toy if he tried, the one you have would pale in comparison to his masterpiece! ... He doesn't say that out loud, though. Though you might find a better mechanism on your desk later down the line in hopes you discard that one to the side.

I don't think i could ever argue with baby Teucer he's far too precious 😭 He can have all the toys he wants I'll just ask my rich bf (Childe 🤭) to buy it later with his no doubt plentiful connections lmao. No doubt he's the kind of guy to buy out the whole stock and then give it to everyone in his family, and the neighborhood kids who adore him too 🥺 Bina would be ALL over this toy lmao she'd love it! But she'd also want a toy made of you so she can put them together in her room and make them hold hands <3 Arlecchino wouldn't care much... until she finds out you brought a few for the children to play with as well. For Pantalone... you know that man already knew it was being developed he's all in the market for it and everything, he's getting that Mora I'm telling you 😭 He'd get one for you too of course ❤️ Capitano is the kinda guy who would play with it in private... I just started to read Sundered like 3 or 4 days ago and was desperately waiting for part #3 🙊 and last night I was about to ask you if you could tagg me in part #3 (It's been a long time since I was active on Tumblr so I don't know the proper etiquette to ask you) but lucky me, the update was ready!

I had SO much fun reading your work. I love how Toji is a little shit to Satoru and likes to mess with him and how he said he knew he was Yui's dad but he was just making sure, I laughed SO hard. Little Megumi putting Naomi in her place and doing what Satoru couldn't do, that was my favorite part 😂 and Toji saying "you're talkative now" almost saying "nice one, son". I hope Toji and reader are end game because they "look" like a good match and Satoru is such a sore loser, after how much effort he put to make little reader feel so insecure and unwanted he has the nerve of being jealous? Ugh men 😫. After reading this part I'm a Toji's girl, like I liked the character before, he's SO FINE but now I'm a believer. I needed more of Toji so I ended up reading everything you have wrote for him, my favorite was Fix it (sorry, can't remember what is the exact title) I finished up till 4:00 AM and I was bawling my eyes out the whole 4 chapters. I was sad that reader and Megumi didn't keep in touch but I understand why. I thought for sure Toji was going to be so mad reader didn't tell him about his daughter but was pleasant surprised that he actually understood why and accepted because it was best for reader 😭 I love my man. I think I went overboard with this message, thank you for your writing<3 can't wait for the next update.

Regular Genshin Impact AU. Platonic+Fluff Zhongli and Fem!Reader, reader is younger lol (is it too obvious that im projecting here...) Reader has a personality similar to Hu Tao (energetic, mischevious, prankster, so on) but Zhongli is pretty fond of them anyway. One day, while sitting by the stone forest' many cliffs and enjoying a cup of tea together, Zhongli starts talking about the things they see in the distance.

They return to the harbor after that and have dinner at Wanmin restaurant before reader waves bye bye enthusiastically before running back to their home lmao

So to sum up; Reader spends a day casual yet very fun day with Zhongli (without knowing he is a god). Very happy and cute slice of life stuff ensues.

An Outing with A Friend

Zhongli is a very gentle, calm, and amiable person. Also quite reserved, the same goes for his friend group. Though he has made many companions over the years of his existence, not all of them have survived the trials of time. After the death of his closest friend, Guizhong, there were a few he held dear. And you were one of them—one he adored as well.

Of course, it may come as a surprise or bewilderment that a person with such a vexatious personality, as most people (primarily xiao) would describe you, was someone Zhongli cherished. To him, having you as a friend might be quite troublesome at times, but you definitely brought elation to his still life. Of course, not everyone passes the test of time; only the ones who are blessed do (though he isn’t so sure it’s a blessing anymore), but still, he’s learned to live in the moment and cherish each moment with people he reveres. 

(Enough of the angst; let’s get to the fluffy part.) 

It was a surprisingly quiet morning today; the sun shone brightly in the clear azure sky. The sun was warm but not scorching, and white fluffy clouds drifted across it. Birds chirping with their companions could be heard from afar, and the leaves of plants were covered in dew drops. 

It was a lovely and pleasant morning, despite Hutao’s prattling about discounts on coffins. Of course, the calm atmosphere didn’t last for long, as a sudden bang made Zhongli jump out of his seat slightly. It also made Hutao stop chattering, (that’s when you know it was loud). And who was that visitor? None other than you, of course! 

You greet everyone you see with an energetic wave, it was too early for such adrenaline to kick in, but who cares, right? 

"Hutaoo, zhongli!!!" You run towards them merrily. Hutao reciprocates with a cheerful greeting.

"Tao tao, I wanted to ask you something! May I?" 

"Sure! Go ahead." 

You wanted to ask if you and Zhongli could spend the day together, considering it had been quite a while since you two spent quality time together, and you missed him a lot.

"Is it fine if I steal Zhongli just for today? Please?" You ask her, clasping her hands in a pleading way, making it so that you get an affirmative answer to your request. 

"Sure, why not? You two have fun then! OH and don’t forget to take care of the old man, he might trip over some rock" Hutao called out as you grab Zhongli’s arm and ran out of the Parlor. 

"Will do, ma’am!" 

Once you get out of the parlor, you stop in your tracks and say, "So! Where should we go?" 

He looks at you, perplexed, "Weren’t you the one who took me out, saying you wanted to spend time with me?" 

You shrug. "Well,yea. But it doesn’t really matter where we go, does it? After all, I just wanted to spend time with you. So why don’t you choose?" 

"Oh. If that’s the case, then I have the perfect place we could go, but before that, I’d like to get some tea. I have an excellent brew I’d like to share with you." 

"Oh okay! Lead the way then." 

And so you and Zhongli set off on your journey, after stopping by to get his tea, you two made your way to Huaguang Stone Forest. You didn’t have the slightest clue where he was taking you, but since it was his idea, you went along with it. 

Your legs were numb from walking for so long, and you felt like fatigue was talking over your body. 

"Zhonglii, are we there yet?" You called out, your weary eyes threatening to shut, but Zhongli was anything but tired; the man was walking calmly, hands behind his back, as he only nodded to your exasperated calls. 

And after what seemed like eternity, he finally stopped. You thanked the archons as you sat on one of the rocks. You didn’t care how harsh the seat it was; to you, the rocks now felt like a luxurious and soft cushion. You caught your breath and looked up, and your mouth was left agape. Maybe the effort was worth it after all; the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. 

The evening sun had cast long shadows on the ground, and the slanting rays of the setting sun gave a warm orange glow to the sky. The sky was painted in orange, red, and yellow hues, and the sun was dozing off, shielded behind the grassy mountains and fog. You sit on one of the edges, staring off into the sky. The golden rays filtered through your eyelashes as you sighed happily.

"Care for some tea?" Zhongli hands you a delicate cup with intricate designs on it; the aroma of the tea soothed you in a way that was indescribable. And the taste was just as pleasant as the smell.

"Not a surprise, I suppose," you thought to yourself. 

"You know, this isn’t as bad as I thought it was; I could get used to this." You say with a smile on your face, gazing at the sky and mountains, the warmth of the tea in your arms makes the serene and tranquil atmosphere even better. 

"Zhongli, you wanna play "I Spy"?" 

"Hm? Is that some sort of game?" 

You face palm internally, "It is, yes. It’s basically like this: I ask you to guess the object I’m seeing within my sight by telling you clues about the objects." 

Zhongli thinks for a moment, then says, "Alright, I think I got it; why don’t you go first?" 

"Why, thank you." You scan your surroundings before placing your vision on a bird circling around one of the mountains in the distance. 

"Since it’s your first game, I’ll go a little easy on you. I spy with my little eyes… a creature that has a shade of brown." Though you said you’d go easy on him, you gave a pretty vague clue. Proud of how well you did, you gave yourself a mental fist bump, smiling sneakily. But before you could congratulate yourself, he calls out.

"Could it perhaps be the Umbertail Falcon you’re talking about?" 

You were astonished—not only did he correctly guess, but he also named the species of the bird!?

"Geez! You have quite the eyesight for someone your age, old man." You huff bitterly, folding your arms, as Zhongli lets out a chuckle. 

And time flew by in an instant as you and Zhongli talked about life and played games. You even listened to some of his stories; you never knew he knew so much about Liyue. Of course, some were quite tedious to listen to. But it was an amusing experience nonetheless. 

And so you and Zhongli made your way back to Liyue Harbor; the night sky was aglow with bright luminescent city lights; you looked up at the blanket of stars that stretched to infinity; and you heard the occasional giggling and excitement of faraway children running back and forth. 

You stopped by at Wanmin restaurant to have a meal, and before you could grab your wallet from the pocket of your clothes, Zhongli stopped you.

"It’s alright, I’ll be paying today." 

Your eyes were as big as saucers; if your jaw wasn’t intact, it would probably fall off as well. "YOU?! PAY?!" 

"Yes..? I don’t see why you are so astonished by that." He looks at you, perplexed.

Well, since he’s paying, why not take advantage of it, right?

Zhongli calls Chef Mao, asking him what he’d recommend, and the renowned chef replies by recommending innumerable names of dishes. 

When you choose a dish, Chef Mao looks at you slightly concerned, "It’s a good choice, but it is a tad bit spicy." 

Zhongli suggests, "Well, if that’s the case, may I sugg-" 

You cut him off, "Pshh, you think I can’t handle a little spice? You’re clearly mistaken, sir; I’m no weakling that can’t handle mere pepper!" You huff your chest, gesturing to the chef to put it in the order as well, and he does so hesitantly. 

"It can’t be that bad, right?" You reflected to yourself.

Oh, it’s very bad. 

You gulp, sweat trickling down your forehead, you stare at the fiery carmine coloured soup in front of you, and you swore the scent it gave off burned your nostrils. You could feel a cough bubbling up your chest from the intense fragrance. You take a deep breath and swallow a spoon whole; after all, you don't want to embarrass yourself in front of Zhongli.

And boy, did you regret it. Your face turned beet red as you stood up at lightning speed, coughing aggressively. Zhongli, seeing your frantic state, hands you a cup of water, which you chug down quickly, patting your back soothingly. After a good 10 minutes of panicking, you sit down, sighing. 

"Maybe I should’ve just ordered something else." 

Zhongli laughs, which causes you to get even more annoyed. You failed to notice he’s been drinking the same soup all this time; he has quite the spice tolerance. 

But other than that, once you ordered something to your liking, you and Zhongli feasted on a hearty meal, and you left the restaurant with a happy heart and stomach.

And so, as the eventful day came to an end, you and Zhongli walked out of the restaurant, the cool, chilly breeze bringing a welcoming close to your day. 

"Thank you, Zhongli! I must admit this was really fun; we should do this again sometime." You chirp happily. 

"I agree as well. Well then, we must bid our goodbyes, and I hope to see you again sometime soon." 

"Yup! See you then, old man, don't trip over a rock," you warn between snickers as you enthusiastically wave before entering your home.

i don’t think he has ever cried once in his life, to be honest. he’s not the type to cry, and when he’s upset he’ll either go quiet or get frustrated

figuring out all the little things that triggers his anger is the main thing, the dude’s a minefield when it comes to casual conversation. if you can avoid them, you’ll find that he’s still a grouchy person but he’s at least trying to not get angry over things. he doesn’t like being angry, surprisingly enough

he accidentally murdered his wolf lusus the first time he lost control of his psiionics as a wriggler, and in an attempt to cheer him up Velour found him a new lusus to ‘adopt’ him. that lusus (a skua) never bonded with Mikiel, so their relationship is more akin to two people sharing a living space than a proper custodian-charge bond 

he doesn’t know his ancestor apart from being aware that trolls in the Giacho bloodline have him to thank for not getting immediately culled upon hatching, but every other troll in his bloodline before him have been culled due to their psiionics not reaching the same standard The Whiteout had set

definitely fight, and he’ll be more likely to fight back as hard as possible now that he actually has friends/romantic interests he wants to try and live for. back when he was with the Red Scarves he only kept fighting because he didn’t want to die by their hand, and now he fights back because he doesn’t know how Lyvere or Thrixe will react if they found out he died (and I don’t think anyone wants to know what Thrixe would do considering the fact he’s half-horrorterror)

Mikiel is less of a ‘falling asleep’ person and more of a ‘eventually passes out and then wakes up some hours later’ person. as long as he’s sufficiently exhausted, he could probably fall asleep anywhere

probably not, since he’s not very sentimental. he would’ve thrown out his first pair of ice skates once he grew out of them, and he’s most likely replaced his first violin as well. he has other things he’s kept around like old records or other things related to his interests that he bought when he was younger, but his attachment to them is no different from anything he’s bought recently

ghiaccio jojo’s bizarre adventure...... i just think he’s neat and funny ok. the first things i decided were what parts of the original character i wanted to keep: the ice powers, the anger + pretentious attitude, and the clothing style (before i gave him a new jacket when he joined Gaia)

he ice skates, but not competitively because like his other hobbies he doesn’t think he’s anywhere near the same level as professionals and those who are famous for the sport. he’d also be really good at other skating-related sports like ice hockey or speed skating, given his experience in the rink and his speed when skating

he doesn’t need to learn how to swim, because unless the water is boiling hot his psiionics will cause it to freeze once he gets close to it. he’d be concerned by how he could easily accidentally trap himself under the water with his psiionics and not be able to get out, but he’s not near water enough for this to become an issue

he’s really only loud when he starts yelling, but otherwise he speaks at an average volume. he’s got a low voice, and speaks with an even tone and generally short, abrupt sentences. though when i say ‘even tone’ i mean ‘always sounds like he fully expects you to try and piss him off’. when he’s really angry he’ll start using slang and shortening or stuttering on words, and his accent gets like ten times thicker

he doesn’t like having his photo taken and will avoid it as much as possible, but he’ll make exceptions for close friends. he’s not one to pose either, so he’s usually just. standing there lmao

he used to have a higher tolerance for other people’s bullshit, but then Velour ruined that for everyone. he knew for a while that Velour was just using him for his wallet, but put up with it because he figured that at least they were still doing things that Mikiel was interested in. then those trips to art galleries and opera performances started falling to the wayside in favour of expensive restaurant outings, and then finally Mikiel couldn’t take it anymore and snapped

nowadays he’s a lot less forgiving and it takes a lot longer for him to trust that you don’t have any ulterior motives. he doesn’t let go of people so much as burn the bridge before it can start being built

he tends to wing it more than plan something out, since he’s very apathetic to whatever consequences he might face for his actions. when out on missions for Gaia, he believes it’s their job to figure out exactly what he needs to do since they picked him to go do the work over anyone else in the Special Ops team. if they wanted someone who is better at strategy or cares about collateral damage, they would have picked someone else

Mikiel doesn’t make playlists, he just listens to albums in their entirety. his favourites are all the classical musicians (no surprises there), but he also loves The Beatles and Queen, believing that they are the pinnacle of modern music. he’ll tolerate other musicians as long as they have major significance to their respective genre (either The Best Of The Best, or the ones who pioneered that particular style of music)

he was probably somewhere above average in terms of grades, though he didn’t pursue any further education than the basic schoolfeeding everyone goes through. he’d be one of those students who’d have the potential to go far if they just applied themselves more, or would actually do all the assignments include ones for subjects or texts he hated. his best subjects would have been anything to do with languages, and his worst would be anything that requires creative thinking

a jacket or coat of some description, black-and-white striped pants, and his specially-made gloves and boots. his gloves are made out of a material that helps dampen psiionic powers, and his boots also have the same material (but of a lesser intensity) and contain hidden blades that flick out of the toe when he kicks or twists his foot in a specific way. he also wears red accessories like his glasses and his shoes as a warning that he is dangerous

he can’t draw, and doesn’t like drawing. he won’t even idly doodle anything if he has a pen in his hand, god knows how he does it

it takes a lot to fully gain his trust, because he’s used to being treated poorly so he doesn’t expect much from other people. it takes a lot for him to finally decide that he wants to trust you. he wouldn’t say he’s been backstabbed specifically (in both a literal and metaphorical sense), but he’s had his trust broken by Velour and that was the last straw for him.

mikiel would also never betray or backstab someone because he’s stubborn as hell and it’s very hard to change his mind. and he wouldn’t put himself in a position where he has to be around someone he might have to potentially turn his back on in the first place, he has no interest in forming relationships like that

Mikiel knows that both are equally as important as the other: science tells us exactly how the world works, while art is an expression of Alternian culture and what separates trolls from animals. he highly values both of them, but personally is more interested in the arts

any relationships he’s broken are with trolls who he feels have personally wronged him, so he sees no reason to try and fix them and would be opposed to the idea if the other person attempted to mend the relationship. if something were to happen between himself and someone he’s close to, he’d make a last-ditch attempt to fix it, but after that he wouldn’t be interested. they chose to burn that bridge, that’s their problem to fix

removing him from the Red Scarves and having him get recruited by Gaia, which iirc came about because Bast and I thought it was funny that we both had cryokinetic trolls with similar names and were very close castewise. in terms of personality he hasn’t changed that much, but his circumstances have allowed him to relax more which in turn has allowed him to get closer to other trolls. while Served Ice Cold has been plotted for a long time, i don’t think Icebreaker would have ever come about if Miki never joined Gaia

Mikiel looks his younger self dead in the eye and is like “do not even fucking think of leaving your hive on [night he was first abducted off the streets and thrown into the Red Scarves’ ring]”

Mikiel is a defeatist at heart, and is prone to giving up without trying if he can’t see any point in it. this combined with his perfectionist tendencies make it very difficult for him to fully enjoy anything he does or feel comfortable with himself

his main self-destructive tendency is the fact that he just Does Not Care. he neglects his own health and will do risky things at work because for whatever reason the team wants to keep him alive

he’s not really a naturally soft person, so the closest you can get to a soft headcanon about him is the fact that he’d give someone his jacket if their shirt got ruined or damaged, even though it’s very likely that it won’t fit them. he just thinks ‘god they’re probably going to complain about how cold it is’ and hands it over without thinking twice

Mikiel doesn’t look for any specific traits because he’s not really considering the possibility of having relationships, but based on his track record his type seems to be ‘tall highbloods with curly hair who enjoy cooking and are unreasonably nice to him’. he likes people who know exactly what kind of person he is and tries to work around his many quirks and things that upset him

i have been trying to investigate into & acquire accessibility tools to help me with my constant 24/7 state of anxiety and sensory overload and autistic shutdown because im going to be 25 in two months and have reached the lowest point in my life so far of just. no ability to function at all because im just living at 150% overstimulated and shut down as my base level of normalcy now and because of health reasons im going to have to start seriously looking into possible ways of living independently from the house im in right now (because it is not at all accessible to my safety needs mostly physically, not cuz of my moms they are rad and i love them though i also would enjoy adult independence in general just like. because i am almost 25 lol)

ANYWAYS one of the things i've been trying to focus on first is securing ways to help prevent myself from completely shutting down in the first place or even just reducing the amount of sensory related stress i live with from things like fridge humming noises/laundry/static/tv buzz/neighbors music or hammering etc etc. so i ordered some prescription sunglasses for myself from the site i get my seeing glasses from since i know it works well for me and its way less expensive than big chain places, and the other thing i did was look into good quality/comfortable noise canceling headphones suggestions from people in the 'actually autistic' tags on diff social media places i use (tiktok was extremely helpful with this which was not the place i assumed i'd find the most help from so that was a pleasant surprise lol) and eventually settled on a specific headphone model that was hundreds of dollars less expensive than most of the Best Quality™️ suggestions i saw (it feels very disappointing and frustrating to see so many genuinely great and helpful headphone suggestions and then look them up and find out they sell for 300-500 actual us dollars at retail price and not much cheaper pre-owned like.....my god. ok. not getting those i guess LMAO 😭) and long story short.

i am. in shock legitimately rn. they came in the mail like an hour or so ago and as soon as i turned them on and turned the noise canceling on it made me gasp out loud because it was just QUIET. there was peace???? no buzzing??? no tv noises, no dripping from sinks, no neighbors music blasting thru the walls, no hammering or buzzsaw noises from people outside???? i am not even slightly kidding when i say in 25 years of being forced to try and live with my brain and its triggers i have never experienced or felt or heard so little noise in my life. i cant fathom being this unbothered by every day things happening around me. it's legitimately life changing much in the same way my adhd medication felt to me the first time i took it back in like the end of 2019 and i could actually kind of focus on my thoughts for the first time ever.

its just wild. they're not like the worlds most incredible headphones or whatever but the noise canceling alone is just so mind blowing to me. i have never ever known peace like this. it makes me want to cry lol??
