hya's end goal is to live a comfortable life where people leave him tf alone and to no longer be on other people's strings. spent his whole life being used for other people's gain in some way and he's super over it.
amon's end goal is to kill the keeper (who is hya's spouse) and he's willing to do anything to achieve that goal.
for both of them romance wasn't on the cards, let alone with each other, but it does eventually come to a point where living together without having to deal with the bs they've both had to deal with is their common goal. even if neither of them will admit that that is a thing they want
