On one hand, bakudeku are FATED. They are soulmates and their lives revolve around each other for better or for worse. They are practically a married couple, and canon only serves to make them even more romantic because of how intertwined they are with the central theme of heroism by serving as two-sides of the same coin that eventually starts to meld into each other to become one whole.
On the other hand, todobaku is a comedy duo and i want them to be an old married couple.

i'll be honest, i truly do not understand when people get all up in arms whenever anyone involved with spn describes cas's love for dean as beyond the human understanding of love, as if there haven't been posts made on here for years by fans literally describing cas's love for dean / destiel's love as akin to worship, a powerful force greater than god, cosmic, all encompassing, profound, etc etc. i thought the outrage was silly when jensen expressed the idea of cas's love being more than romantic back in denver con 2021 and i think it's silly now with these bedlund tweets. not to mention being more than and beyond something imo means it encompasses the romantic AND more. it's romantic, it's platonic, it's cosmic, it's worship, it's everything. and i think that's beautiful. and yes, it's exactly what their love is. a huge profound force that changed the narrative, that wasn't meant to be there, that kept breaking through anyway.
and i understand what people are saying about this language being used for a queer ship etc etc, but like, there's nothing inherently wrong or negating their love in saying that it's a greater love. if anything i think it's saying, hey, see these two? yea their love is bigger than what we can even comprehend. idk i'm just going to continue to take these statements in good faith. and also, until the reboot happens, they can't really say more about destiel beyond the bounds of the confession. jensen, bedlund, misha, etc can't speak to dean's feelings, for instance, or confirm anything one way or another, because if those feelings are a major plot point to be explored and acknowledged in the continuation then to speak about them now with any kind of definitive statement would be spoiling / jumping the gun, and it's not their place to make those statements yet, if we are indeed going to see more of dean and cas's story in the future (which i mean, at this point based on their statements about the reboot it's really a When not If situation).

Saying this as sb who loves drawing Alistair with visibly pointy ears to spite bioware's "elf genes are always recessive" bullshit, but canonically i do think it makes much more sense for him to look fully human.
Except, maybe the children in the monastery made fun of the new kid's jug ears. Or maybe Ferelden's king is known for his unusually vibrant and shiny eyes. Or maybe his fellow Wardens grumble jealously at their commander's effortless agility.
He is a Grey Warden though, so an oddity or two are to expected, of course

[ID: A drawing of an open ribcage with a poem written in the middle, which reads:
"the vultures won’t eat well that night.
justice.
there’s a warped sense of it
when i wring myself - wry
smile, withhold, control,
rumble-bang on the door,
listen! my leaden lining, with
time, won’t accept nothing
it was never my image, but
my image hurts now - after
punishment for crimes that
hurt nothing, no-one, but i
say, for nights i sway -
i see myself fading away,
see the world in trails,
its entrails and my entrails,
it's what pangs, what pales,
what heaves, what fails,
it's what carrot! what stick!
i’m just making myself
sick."
The drawing is white lines on a black background, and the text is yellow. End ID]

the tenor of some discussion spaces for my current main fandom is so antithetical to the 'analysis/reinterpretation beyond the bounds of what it is likely the author actually intended to imply is enjoyable for what that interpretation itself offers' culture of most other fandom spaces i've been in over the last twenty years. that is, i am not convinced that many people who post in like the Abyss subreddit and stuff would see the point of analysis that a fan knows is probably not what the author intended, but still thinks would be cool/poignant/thought-provoking as a lens to view the work through, regardless of (sometimes explicitly knowing there is a lack of) authorial intent.
like. for comparison, consider that most spheres of Star Trek fandom contain many people who would totally *get* what you were doing if you posted a meta reinterpreting an episode as being about a different or more specific social issue than the one that we can tell the authors intended it as a metaphor for. (i mean do i even need to say which DS9 episode can be reanalyzed thru any of a number of gender and sexuality related lenses even though it's likely it was meant for one or two in particular)
relatedly a good portion of them would *get* what you were doing if you were heavily invested in a ship with no chance of having ever been intended by the showrunners to be seen as canon. yes i do think that the brain places that lead to the best written and most intricately characterized ship fic and the best pieces of non-fic meta and analysis as described above are comparable brain places, the 'pick apart what i like about it and put it back together, in the forms most beauteously to my tastes' brain places. i know from experience the same people are often the ones reading and writing both at once.
....Trek fans are perhaps primed to respect the culture of reinterpretive fanwork because they get that Liking Spirk is so valid (tm) that it saved the show and created fan culture as we know it even if Roddenberry did not intend for us to Think That Was The Case.
anyway. this is so much the case that i think when i get more stuff onto the neocities i may have to actually put in some sort of disclaimer somewhere that's the meta version of a don't like don't read warning and/or explaining death of the author as it applies to meta and perhaps fanwork in general

hey sket u know how a bit ago sacabambaspis was a huge meme. do u know of any other cool rocks or fossils that u wish more people knew about (as in either were more popular in general or that there was more general info discovered about it in the science community)
OMG AKIRE THIS IS A GREAT QUESTION TYSM
ok so i thought of both silly and cool examples (just two of each tho) here's the silly ones that i think should be mentioned more
first off is this dinosaur called the Pisanosaurus which is rly funny to me because pis is pee and ano is anus in Spanish literally making him the Pee anus lizard. also this specific reconstruction is funny bc it reminds me of the "ppl with blue eyes" memes
THEN it's not a specific mineral but a habit, which is basically a way certain crystals can grow. this habit is specifically called the mamelon habit, and mamelon in french is nipple. and in uni they taught us that they have "the shape of breasts" (mamas in Spanish) AND IT KILLS ME BC. WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABT IT. WHO WAS THE HORNY GEOLOGIST THAT SAW THIS AND SAID YEAH THAT'S BOOBS. MANS NEVER SAW A PAIR OF TIDDIES IN HIS LIFE
OK now for cool stuff i can't come up with cool fossils on the top of my head rn but basically any fossil outside of North America and sometimes Europe. All the movies, books and documentaries about dinosaurs literally only show dinos from the US when there's really cool and even the biggest CREATURES that roamed the Earth from South America (i.e Patagotitan, Giganotosaurus). So media being US centric as always :^)
as for minerals i don't see these mentioned often. this one's called galena it has lead in it and it's cool bc it breaks and also forms in these cubic shapes! and since it's metallic it looks like something man made or like from a sci fi film, it's cool
AND THEN this is bornite it's called the peacock ore, usually it's like a light brown color but when exposed to the surface it'll oxidize so you'll p much always see it with these pretty colors! literally the gay mineral

So, I was thinking about the modern AU Enjolras + Bahorel climbing buddies headcanon again recently and this just... slipped out. Consider it an origin story of how they started being climbing buddies <3
___
It started, as so many great things in Bahorel’s life did, with a bout of recklessness.
The march had finished; it was a tame one, and thus Bahorel still had energy that needed dispelling somehow. Turning his eyes to the heavens he spotted it: a flag, flying morosely in the wind above an expensive clothing store. That flag, symbol of shameless nationalism, had sparked his ire and it was without a second thought that Bahorel found a foothold on a windowsill and started making his way up.
He ignored the sounds of protestation from his friends below (Combeferre, Lesgles) and the cheers from others (Courfeyrac, Grantaire, Prouvaire), focusing only on reaching that flag. Gaining a foothold on a chipped brick, he triumphantly reached out and snatched down the flag from it’s position of honour, watching with satisfaction as it floated to the ground below.
The climb down was easier, and Bahorel landed with a bow, grin on his face. He didn’t miss the eye-rolls from certain members of their group but nor did he miss the whoops of delight from the more merry amongst them.
After he’d satisfied himself by stomping on the flag, he looked up and caught Enjolras’ eye. It wouldn’t have been the first time he’d been reprimanded by the other man for acting rashly but, just like all those other times, Bahorel remained unbothered by what Enjolras thought of his antics.
Enjolras, however, didn’t seem bothered at all; on the contrary, he approached Bahorel with something like determination in his eyes. Bahorel waited, half in confusion and half in anticipation, whilst Enjolras’ eyes darted up to where the flag had been before following it’s path back down to the ground.
“Can you teach me how to do that?” he asked.
“Style isn’t something one can learn, I’m afraid. You either have it or you don’t.”
“I meant the climbing.”
“I know. Sure, I can teach you. When are you free?”
The rest, as they say, is history.
