All of my bedding has been washed, pillows and comforter hung out in the crisp October sunshine for a few hours. I just took a serious everything shower. Hair double cleansed, hair mask left in while I exfoliated, removed every errant hair, then moisturized and body oiled, face mask and lip mask. I smell fantastic and I can’t wait for bedtime when I can slide into my clean sheets and rub my legs back and forth like a cricket.
#my room was also deep cleaned and a candle is burning with the window open for the crisp October air#the depression has made me apathetic lately and it was all I could to to just make myself wash my hair#so an everything shower after a depressive stint just hits way different#I’ll make myself a mocktail and snuggle up so good tonight#my body oil makes me smell like a glazed donut 😂

ugh got hit with this intense homesickness for like. the quintessential Northern Autumn Vibes™ again. i keep looking up pics of small town fall aesthetics and videos of ppl just walking through forests with all the pretty colors hghhhgfn i miss it ;___;
#spectre says#fall was always my fave season but it didn't last long#the colors were only there for maybe a few weeks at most before the snow showed up#and like. there WAS something beautiful about the first snow too don't get me wrong#but fall was a much more comfortable time of year where it was still chilly but not painfully cold#never got to do any of like. the farm-related stuff like hay rides or corn mazes growing up but part of me always wanted to#ok but :0 time to share a little thing#one of the most magical moments for me was the year before we moved. when i was swinging outside listening to professor layton music#and the world around me was so vibrant and the leaves were falling all around. absolutely picturesque#the air was crisp and clean and had that specific smell that signified the first snow was well on its way#i felt like i was in a dream and i savored that moment because i knew it would probably be my last time experiencing it#so far i was right. haven't experienced that again since#hoping to change that someday.#don't know when but i Gotta#delete later probably

So conflicted because I love summer, but I also smelled an apple cinnamon scented candle sooooo...
I'm not exactly ready for warm and humid to end, but at the same time I really want it to be fall
Those are my favorite seasons of all time 😭
(I don't hate any season, but I have a really hard time existing during the colder months... My bones ache, I tremble violently and uncontrollably, my jaw can't open, the whole shebang. I'll still play in the snow but I'll be a vibrating popsicle with lockjaw)
