Hello! I'm a recent follower and have been loving your advice.
I would like to know more about the good quality jewelry you spoke about in one of your asks, do you have more recommendations on where to buy them? I would love to know more about how to recognize them too.
Thank you!
I know a couple of websites that my friends have bought from like Italo jewellery but I’ve never purchased from them. I don’t want to recommend websites or stores that I haven’t personally purchased from, even if someone close to me has had a good experience.
I don’t wear or buy fake/ plated accessories; everything has to be as pure as possible, whether it’s gold, diamonds, gemstones or otherwise. Therefore I never purchase online and i avoid designer jewellery like Tiffany or whatever like the plague (the only exception being my van cleef pendant which I adore). I have a seller who lives in the next city to mine who sends his collections to my home, my family has had a relationship with him for many years- we get everything customised and purchase only from him and my aunt who also happens to be a jeweller.

01.24.23-01.31.23— Week 18 [Venice, IT, pt 1]
We made it to Venice. I had low expectations of Venice and thought it might be cheesy and campy. I was blown away by how lovely, quaint, true to character, and comfortable it was. I am not so sure it would so lovely in the summer with a mob of tourists. But in the winter, as cold as it was for us, it was perfection. We’d initially booked our apartment for three nights and extended to five.
We departed from the Milano Centrale station. The kids were able to enjoy the Italo lounge prior to boarding, which gave them a bird’s eye view of all the platform. Hero was beside himself with excitement. When we arrived in Venice, he wanted a photo by the station platforms.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Walking out of the Venice train station was picturesque. The sun was shining and we immediately caught sight of the Grand Canal. Our 20-minute walk to the apartment through the cobblestone streets and narrow alleys had us constantly stopping and “wow”ing. The up-and-down steps of the mini canal bridges were not as awesome but since the weather was so lovely and the scene so different than anything we’d ever experienced, it was tolerable.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
That evening I went for a walk to some stores [and for a break] and then called the kids to see if they were comfortable walking from the apartment to meet me. Atlas was eager, he loves to explore. Hero was nervous but he will go along for food. We met at the Rialto bridge for some pictures. And then Atlas eagerly settled on a tourist-trap restaurant. But we enjoyed sitting along the canal for dinner.
Tumblr media
On our first morning in Venice, we just went for a long walk to acquaint ourselves with the neighborhood. First, we walked to the Grand Canal to see the Rialto bridge. Every day of our visit to Venice, Hero insisted on sitting on the steps and watching the waves made by the boats.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We made our way to the Saint Marks Basilica and the Doge Palace. They only tolerated me reading a little Wikipedia to them about the sites; they were not interested in museum visits. They decided that there were three types of boats to ride in Venice: a bus boat, a taxi boat, and a gondola. They were relentless in convincing me to ride a taxi boat so we took one from Venice to San Murano Island, a 25-minute ride.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Per their usual MO, once we landed on the island they immediately wanted to eat again so we stopped for a snack and a few games of Uno before walking around the island. San Murano is known for its glass blowing and each shop had beautiful displays of glass art, jewelry, and house decor. A few of the shops had artists working with the blow torch.

History of Swiss Luxury Watches
Everybody's heard of the definition of "Swiss-made" before, but where made it happen to originate from? Everything started in the 16th century in Geneva when religious leader Jean Calvin managed to garner a lot of power and influence. He played a function in the banning of jewelry-wearing. The jewelers in the united kingdom had to show watch-making to be able to produce a living. This triggered the establishment of a brand-new craft, which generated a lot of competition. Watchmakers had to produce new ideas and innovative techniques to be able to stay an action ahead of the competitors.
Some of these techniques are still found in watch-making today. In the 1770s, the Perpetual watch was invented by Abraham Louis Perrelet. It was the forerunner of the self-winding watches of today. In the early 1800s, Louis Moinet created the first-ever chronograph watch.
Today, there's a global market for Swiss luxury watches. They still maintain the prestige that they've always had. Most of the brands have been around for over 100 years. Breitling and Movado, for instance, have been around because the 1880s.
Every one of the leading watch brands offers a collection of Swiss-made watches. They combine traditional techniques and Swiss-made quartz with modern features such as calendars and water-resistant technology.
Italian Luxury Watches
As it pertains to fashion, anything that is Italian-made is considered to be of the best quality imaginable. This is true where watches are concerned as well. While many contemporary timepieces are mass-produced by machines, you will find still a few series here and there which can be still completely handcrafted. Panerai and Bulgari are two Italian brands that can be well-known due to their handcrafted pieces. Italian flair along with Swiss watch-making techniques: the sophistication of some of these watches is immeasurable.
You will find Italian luxury watches that attract flight enthusiasts. The U-Beat pieces in particular stand out making use of their robust cases and large dials. Each piece is handcrafted by experts. The designs were originally designed for the Italian Navy in 1942 by engineer Ivo Fontana. However, it wasn't until the year 2000 when his grandson, Italo Fontana, found the designs that they certainly were finally brought to life.
As noted above, many prestigious fashion designers and brands offer a series of luxury watches. If you like accessories to go along with your Armani dress, Gucci handbag, Calvin Klein suit, etc., you can find an Italian watch to match.
Choosing the Best Luxury Watch
With all the classy Italian and Swiss timepieces available, how could you narrow down the options?
Here really are a few tips to help you choose.
Your financial allowance is one of many first things to consider. Luxury and designer watches aren't all expensive. Some can be very affordable. An entry-level or mid-range luxury piece could be well suited for you in the event that you don't want to choose a high-end watch. You should consider the design. Since you will undoubtedly be wearing it against your skin, it ought to be made out of materials you'd find comfortable. The straps can be made out of alligator leather, high-quality rubber, stainless, nylon, etc. Make sure you choose a timepiece with a top-quality case. The case can be made out of cheap materials such as plastic to expensive materials such as 14kt gold. In several modern designs, platinum has become a favorite choice because of its durability. Titanium cases are good choices as well since it's a light material and doesn't make your wrist feel weighted down. Are you aware of that color, you will see that there are timepieces that feature every color and mix of colors imaginable? Whether you'll need a neutral color, pastel color, or bold and flashy color, today's watch brands offer all of these. Why are you currently investing in a watch in the very first place? Do you wish to save it for special occasions or use it every single day? If it's the latter, then you may want to choose a neutral design. It's important to decide on a piece that matches your individual style. In addition to the look and brand, it's also advisable to consider the true craftsmanship and mechanisms of timepieces. Do you like automatic watches or chronographs? What sort of deal do you like? How would you like the markers and numbers to be displayed? How about an analog watch? Speaking of dials and markers, readability is among the most important considerations. It would be a waste of money to purchase a luxury watch in the event that you can't read the full time easily. Some dials feature Arabic numerals, some feature Roman numerals, and some feature tiny diamonds representing the numbers. Contrast is important as well. The color of the markers and numbers should contrast well with along with of the dial and hands. These are some of the questions to ask when searching for luxury watches. Opt for a brand that is renowned for its superior timepiece technology and craftsmanship. As with any luxury accessory or item, there are several fakes out there. Make sure you will get a 100% authenticity guarantee before investing in a timepiece - especially if it's a higher-end model.

Crystal Necklaces for Men From By Fabrizio Design: The Perfect Holiday Present
Looking for the perfect holiday present for your beau? Men can be incredibly difficult to shop for, but jewelry is generally a safe choice for your man with style. Crystal necklaces for men from By Fabrizio Design are a great way to melt his heart while also elevating his fashion sense.
Tumblr media
Who is Fabrizio Sassano? Fabrizio Sassano is the man behind the inclusive jewelry brand, By Fabrizio Design. A consummate fashionisto, he is not just the primary jewelry designer for the brand he founded, he is also a fashion designer and a fashion model.
Sassano seems to have been predestined for a life filled with beauty and elegance; his mother was studying fashion and design when she was pregnant with him. He began following in her footsteps from a young age, learning the Entorchado technique as a teenager when he first began to learn about jewelry making. His creations, from earrings to bracelets to crystal necklaces for men, pay homage to and are a celebration of his unique Italo-Venezuelan culture, heritage, and religion.
What is the Entorchado Technique? Many of the offerings on the By Fabrizio Design website, including their crystal necklaces for men, make use of the Entorchado technique. Entorchado means “braid” in English; the process involves carefully and meticulously twisting delicate metallic wires to connect gemstones, semi-precious stones, and crystal beads together. The technique dates all the way back to pre-Hispanic times, and was only taught to indigenous tribeswomen tasked with creating offerings to the gods.
As an Entorchado master, Sassano makes use of the finest raw materials to bring his creations to life. Each stone or bead is thoughtfully selected and secured to form jewelry that is as unique and distinctive as the person wearing it.
Crystal necklaces for men from By Fabrizio Design This holiday season, consider giving the man in your life something from By Fabrizio Design’s Filippo collection. The Filippo line reflects the ideals of the modern, well-dressed gentleman–he is confident, cultured, and enlightened. Below are a few suggestions:
The Massimo chain necklace is the ultimate in manly bling. It features a white zirconia-encrusted, gold-plated skull hanging from a gold chain; a blue aventurine charm also hangs next to the sparkling skull, adding whimsy and visual interest. It’s an excellent gift to give the unabashedly self-assured man.
Looking for something with a touch of softness? The Giambullari pearl necklace is another excellent choice from the brand. This string of freshwater pearls features gold-plated separators that add a subtle elegance to the piece.
Alternatively, you may wish to consider purchasing a By Fabrizio Design classic, the rosary necklace. The Duomo rosary necklace in grey aura quartz from the Filippo collection is an exquisite piece. Crafted using the Entorchado technique, it features grey aura quartz and grey labradorite, as well as a zirconia encrusted cross and signet. The color of this rosary necklace brings storm clouds floating over the ocean to mind, and it’s the perfect present for the man who doesn’t need to be loud to make a statement.

What are some inexpensive jewelry pieces worth purchasing?
By inexpensive I understand that you mean stuff that isn’t fully real. I don’t buy anything that’s not real, but a website you could check out is Italo Jewellery.
I know that Nomberry is like a luxury repurposer, but I’ve read reviews saying that their stuff can be fake. And for the prices that they offer, it’s honestly a good bargain.
However, I’ve never purchased anything from either of these websites, so buy carefully.
If you’re talking about the types of pieces itself, then you should consider buying as a beginner:
1. Diamond tennis bracelet
2. A gold bangle
3. A pair of solitaire earrings
4. A simple pendant for everyday wear
5. A beautiful watch

The Lord giveth, the Lord taketh: Italy won the Euros, and now the only thing YouTube recommends to me is this lady who talks with a stereotypical and exaggerated Italo-American accent, says that to “look Italian” you need to wear costume jewelry, and “teaches” people how to cook American dishes telling them they’re “true Italian” ones.
