MEE is citing an unnamed "senior Arab" source informed "from a leak originating in the US" that Israel is planning on using nerve gas in tunnels used by Palestinian militants in Gaza. No source more substantial than that (OTOH how would you get one?) so I'm taking it w more than a grain of salt, but good to know A) that claim is out there & B) the sourcing on it

I tried to log out of the FB app because I’m going to make a family-less alt account for multiple reasons. It logged me out - and then immediately logged me back in because I’m still logged in on Messenger.
What are the chances that I can log out on Messenger and not get auto-logged back in because I’m still signed in on the FB app?

heller style emulation guide
ok so I was thinking about this for a while (how do you emulate this guy) and I think there are a few pretty big things in writing that he does that you can do also!
Describe pointless things in detail. The thing about Heller is that he is verbose, but in a good way. Characters get memorable descriptions that last sometimes for multiple paragraphs and/or anecdotes, locations receive detail but usually specific parts of them, and even objects can receive a whole page of description. Heller is good at building vivid imagry, but this is partially due to intense explaining. Rather than just "there was a blue cap", Heller would say shit like "Against the rough wood grain of the Australian table lay a small blue cap with fading sunspots. Its brim had been torn at in a few places, the stitching distressed and coming out in fragments of torn fibers..." VERBOSE
Eat a fuckin dictionary. Importantly, he uses the words correctly, but certainly you'll open a passage of Heller and begin to wonder how that thesaurus tasted on the way down. Be prepared for words like "acrid" and "lassitude" and "Falstaffian". To emulate him, it might be good to have a thesaurus on hand. BUT, ensure you actually are using the words correctly!
Don't be scared of adverbs. Its ok. I prommy. Heller likes his adverbs. He also uses shockingly simple nouns in dialogue "He said carefully", or into my next point...
Contradict yourself sometimes and use circular logic. This is what the dude is known for, but don't be afraid to say someone "whispered loudly" or "tripped gracefully" and use those adverbs! Don't overuse them, of course, but find where they could best be applied and recognize that they're another part of speech.
Whatever the fuck you call THIS. Additionally, he will say shit like: "Tea was delivered every afternoon during the heat of the day, when nobody wanted it. By the time evening had set, and the rooms grew cold, there wasn't a spot of tea to be found. The administrators found this the most effective method of offering tea because nobody wanted it, and they bought practically no tea. This was good, too, because nobody liked tea."
So... yeah! Have fun writing your c22 fanfic and this is my pocket guide for what I think you have to do to emulate him. Anyone can add on if they want!

cannot get over the kindle mobi 180° turn. first it's "you can only send .mobi/.azw3 files to the kindle. it's our proprietary format and the kindle cannot read epub ^^" then suddenly it's "you cannot send .mobi at all, only epub, now!! or. well. of course the kindle can still read .mobi files. so if you transfer it via usb, they still work. in fact, you still cannot add epub files directly to the system memory because the device doesn't support it. but no .mobi network transfer!!!". like. i bought this device 8 years ago. as far as i know it still has the same hardware. what is this dance
