#wait actually i gotta add to that #one of my uncle has 7 kids (one is an adult and the rest are under 12) (some are children through marriage)#they were there for funeral and the internment which honestly made the whole thing feel like bittersweet #i have cousin who runs a tourist housing business in taiwan and lives in china who came out too #some extended family who live in minnesota also came out for the first time in 20 years #pretty sure another one of my uncles is ocd (self described) and was VERY adamant about white roses #also his glasses fully broke right before he had to give his eulogy which im sure was nightmare for him #but he did great anyway!#and my mom stole a toy dinosaur from the church that the kids had been playing with 💀#also the minister was really sweet and funny and adapted so well to us akdjd #also apparently his mom is in the hospital rn and his car is in the shop and im really worried about this guys mom now #hope shes okay #anyway. i have such an odd family and they all live so fsr away so #its nice to see them again #mal talks #death cw

Robin chose Steve. Robin made the conscious and deliberate decision that she could and would trust Steve. She already liked him! She had fun working and bantering with him! They were already on their way to being weird little bffs and the torture just expedited the process. Steve chose Robin just the same! He thinks she's fun and cool and likes her so much! He chose to be honest and open with her too, putting himself out there.

Even though their interests on the surface level don't match why wouldn't they share them? Steve clearly caves when Robin wants to watch a movie he doesn't think he'll like, Robin can watch a March madness game or five.

Stop trying to take away their bond oh my god people can be close to more than one person!!! Their best friend doesn't have to be dismissive or mean or whatever in order for a romance to be special to them!

speaking of fucked up overly hated female twdg characters i find it Super Interesting how people will say carver was the best villain in the whole series, but when lilly is literally just a successful carver (iron fist leader of a community turning children into soldiers) suddenly shes a bad/lame villain for some reason 🤔

#twdg #hmm im sure this has nothing to do with the fact shes a woman (a woman that a lot of people hated since S1)#AND they gave her a giant boat? thats funny #LIKE if they did originally plan to have kenny be carver in S2 she is LITERALLY JUST THAT IDEA but the woman version of it #also i find it interesting that her speech about larry and the lights is reminiscent of that first convo between shane and rick in the show #i happened to like S1 lilly for the most part and felt her evolution in S4 made perfect sense #she hated being questioned. wanted total authority. ex military and so used to dealing with military types. family/loyalty important to her #which is why her and clem meeting again and clashing heads is so narratively interesting #is this person your family? can you bring them to your side? are they even the same person? when do you let go?#so many themes in S4 mmm yummy #a theme vi/minnie share too #and mitch brings up the sentiment while burning ms martin #but yeah im in the 'lilly was actually the best villain in the whole series' camp i wonder whos in here with me. is it quiet in here #it wouldve been nice to see more of the delta... unfortunately if things needed to be cut its understandable why it was #you dont NEED to know more about the delta than whats been told #but i would like to 😔#like could we have been given more fleshing out of her character? sure. do we actually NEED it? no #it speaks

I say this with 100% sincerity, but genuinely I can see SO MANY C!Ranboo-related things in the plotline of Genloss, and I think that’s really neat

- The whole thing with the mask brainwashing Ranboo? VERY much feels like how Enderwalk was portrayed.

- Being controlled by some unseen, unknown force? Not gonna say his name but like, you know what guy that sounds like

- Swearing being used as a huge climatic ending? Lest we forget, “What the HELL did you do..?”

- The flashing of scarier stuff on stream? Stuff that goes unexplained and is creepy and mysterious? There was SO much of that in C!Ranboo’s lore streams

- Ranboo being forced into a main character role? This is more of a stretch, but reminds me of the running gag that C!Ranboo was the main character of DSMP

And genuinely, it feels really fucking cool to me. Ranboo’s getting to tell their own story, but like you can still see the inspiration from the OTHER big character he’s played, C!Ranboo. Like, the Genloss streams and how Ranboo acts reminds me of the old Ranboo lore streams and that’s really special to me. It’s kinda come full circle in that aspect, and seeing little things like that really show how far things have come since! And I love that.

actually. the specific phrasing that boy Kevin wants to kill older Kevin with "I must disassemble him, piece by piece, so that everything inside of the Old Kevin comes out. Only then can the New Kevin truly begin." is so incredibly the idea that to heal from trauma and "improve" you have to destroy every "wrong" part of yourself, that everything "tainted" by it has to somehow be replaced by something untouched (which isn't possible)

#reading back that phrasing I do think that'll be the way brinknor takes it #this arcs seeming like it'll be so. breaking the cycle of abuse and violence and coming to terms with yourself #and maybe understanding that you can never remove the parts of you impacted by trauma and start again completely ''pure''#but you can treat yourself with the kindness you should've been given #which i hope it is that because. and understand i am biased. but i'd love that direction for Kevin #it feels much more satisfying than any more. angsty way this arc could go imo #like he's been through enough!#because of the way Kevin is portrayed in fanon. not as frequently anymore but still pretty common. I worry about coming off as woobifying #by saying I want him to heal I want him to have nice things I think he deserves them #when he's also simultaneously Not A Good Person #yknow the poor little innocent cinnamon roll baby etc etc fanon #but. well for one im Not Like That about him. but my main point of bringing that up is. him not being a good person is why I want to see hi #get better and generally have a good life. why does someone have to be good to deserve to heal from trauma #especially when trauma is a big reason for the way they are #like its fiction yeah yeah i'm still tired of mentally ill people having to be ''good'' to ''deserve'' to get better yknow #i mean especially in fiction you tend to either see mental illness as the poor traumatized one who's allowed recovery because they're nice #or the insane psychopath who cant be ''fixed'' so ''deserves'' bad things-up to deserving to die!- for it #i didnt mean for this to be a rant erm. oops #wtnv #wtnv spoilers #joyousposting
