I feel like Homelander would be really confused with a partner who has chronic pain, like he just genuinely doesn't understand at first. Him and his partner go around in circles until his partner finally manages to explain to him in a way he gets that yes they are on a scale of 1-10 at 5-6 daily and they only worry when it spikes to 9-10 pain. That yes this is constant. Inspired by me and my chronic pain, idk I just feel like it'd be hard to explain to Homie that when I sit wrong I can feel my entire spine, that my hips are constantly uncomfortable, and if I step wrong my leg will give out. The only thing I wouldn't have to explain is how bad my joints are because he'd hear them cracking and popping *every time* I move lol

I think the confusion would be right on. You've got someone who understands that pain under intense circumstances is a thing (from his childhood at least) but what he doesn't get is that other pain that doesn't really fall into the category of burning alive.

I feel like he can be pretty childish with stuff like this. Brushing things off because well you're obviously not hurt or bleeding or cut. So what the fuck could be wrong with you?

You're getting daily x-rays and Homelander gets all the Vought medical staff to invent miracle cures and whatnot. As soon as his access to your love and affection is restricted due to pain, he's gotta do something about it. And yeah he's greedy and selfish but even he has limits, okay, he's not gonna force you to do things he wants when you're in too much pain.

Either he will find a miracle cure or die trying full of frustration.

But I also see him just abusing his powers. Lifting, carrying & flying you 2 steps over because he doesn't want you to be in pain. Oh no, suddenly you're pressed into him, having to hug his body close for support. How awful. Well just hold on, you might as well let him carry you over to wherever you need to go!

While he would pout and find it a little annoying (bcs he is an asshole after all 🫶) I imagine he'd be quite the mother hen.

"Straighten up, you look like a shrimp. You'll feel like one soon." He's adjusting your posture all day long!

Or he'd make shitty snarky remarks. "Alright, I got it now." "Got what?" "Your superhero name, you silly! It's Bubble Wrap. Listening to you pop pop pop all day long." Before you move he goes. "Oop, there goes another one. Loud fucker too."

MY GOODNESS. it's been a hot minute since i posted the first part and i guess i just couldn't SHUT UP because this is FOURTEEN PAGES LONG. So uh... I've been busy... studying

You know any of the times I've complained about Vis secret soft ingredient? Well I certainly hope/suspect I've learned smth after this :D

Things I have definitely learned however:

Despite being the small one she is still just 2/3 legs which is INSANE

Her chin is way more pointed than I thought!

Her Hair is also usually bigger than initially thought

Eyebrows are always crunched :D

Her shoulders are quite slim actually! Bulky and round but still kind of slim!

Biceps for days though :))

And very cute butt

...No 6pack actually but im SO okay with that - give that woman some nutrients

At this point I hate those bandages almost as much as Caitlyn probably does
