so we know you like drawing yourself..but what about engie? does he draw ever?
i suppose if you count things such as blueprints and architectural concepts to be drawing, then yes! a lot of those! he doesnt do so much free drawing as a hobby, but between you and me, i have seen him drawing still lifes or sketching portraits of teammates from time to time. and theyre quite good! he always seems embarrassed by them though....

so i've been thinking about this
panel for awhile and, it's not even the first time Batman has threatened to beat Joker up with the precise intention of putting him in a full body cast but not kill him.
You know, that threat actually takes a rather maticulous amount of mental planning and physical control. Gettint someone within 3 inches of death but not kill them takes conscious read on the opponent's body language cues, their physical capacity and their thresholds, their highest pain point before their body gives in, and technically a rather comprehensive intimate knowledge on their internal organs and their medical history. Knowing how to bring someone close to collapse but not straight up flatline is actually a rather intricate controlled process that is subject to each individual's physical state at the moment, especially for the fact that we see Batman getting really really really close to the killing line and very much flirting with it, but never crossing it.
And honestly the presence of that threat —which he keeps telling Joker— is so bizarre and fascinating to me. Pray tell Bruce, how much time have you exactly spent mapping out Joker's body and cataloguing each and every point of it inside and out, enough that would enable you to read his minute physical responses in order to know when to pull a punch and how much?

Mr. Spamton, have you ever tried sewing before? The patterns some people draft up are bamboozling to the mind, for sure...
-Silly woman who tried, but only managed to stitch together lopsided "pillows" from t-shirts and stuff them with cotton balls

i know i've said this plenty of times before but nothing is funnier to me than the idea of phoenix's parents being pretty normal but maybe kind of lame and him almost completely ghosting them just because he doesn't want to explain any of the insane life decisions hes made.

artemis and dahlia are so good. the contrast between the supposed hero drizzt always keeping her at an arm's lenght, preferring the "soft look" she puts on to please him where she acts and looks softer and covers her tattoos and scars, knowing she had a painful past but not bothering to ask or look into it because it would shake his morals and he would rather pretend to not know than to actually confront it or even help dahlia through it. meanwhile the supposedly cold killer artemis with just a few looks saw the pain in her, let her have the kill against herzgo because he realized it was important to her even if he had just as good reasons and he didnt know dahlia's yet, and when they were alone he let dahlia be vulnerable to him, asked her about her pain, and when she was not comfortable to speak about it he just stayed near her and comforted her

soft note to be expanded on later!! i am probably going to be goin private w this blog soonish, aka pulling back the circle to folks who also follow my main blog — i’ve noticed myself falling into bad feelings and holding back on/deleting posts about my ocs, which is. not where i want to be with this space so!! def feel free to give seph a follow if we haven’t interacted over there yet & you’re interested in her! if not, absolutely no judgement and no pressure, but i will probably be sb/hb’ing depending on rules! i want to curate my social spaces to foster mutual interest in our passions and sometimes that means making slightly uncomfy decisions dhskdhsj

Going through Outsiders FFN is such a weird experience because I'll be looking through authors and fics and usually find a lot of people mentioned in eachother's works, giving the impression of an incredibly tight-nit community, yet today I don't think it's nearly as active. This likely sounds melodramatic, but it really does make me a little sad when I think about it, even though I wasn't around for a majority of FFN. If an author's catalogue went on for long enough you'd see people go from college student, to graduate, to mother of two, etc, etc. These glimpses turn out to be so jarring to me because then I remember they last posted years, maybe more than a decade ago. It's a massive time capsule that sort of feels you're walking alongside these people as you go through their writing when in reality you're only walking alongside some sort of apparition of the past.

Anyway they can change between being tiny and human sized. And when they're tinier they can only be seen by the other fae or their selected humans. So if you just passed Noll on the street while Shavuli was perched on his shoulder chatting away you wouldn't see or hear her.

one of my fav things about medieval manuscripts is many of the illustrations of birds are recognizable as real bird species. i can go birding in here
my man the european goldfinch!!!!!!!
short-eared owl?
magpie!
sparrowhawk !
like idk. i get mad at posts making fun of medieval art because 100% of the time it's a drawing that is deeply steeped in iconography and its own visual language that is difficult to interpret if you don't know the symbols and what they mean. and i feel like wider pop-culture does not ever think about the fact that these people were illustrating the world as they saw it !!!

Do any of you remember a Youtube video about Re:Kinder talking about how the game is seen and percieved by some people (mostly touching upon and arguing against how it has been treated insensitively as some sort of weird legend like "ooo disturbing game with a hidden truth behind it" due to it's creator being dead), as well as talking about the charm of the game (even mentioning it's art at some point) and sadness of the themes without spoiling anything at the same time?? I remember the video avoided saying any spoilers at all and only touched on the literal plot as the kids being stuck in a dire situation in the town with all the adults dead without really getting into the why (it didn't even say one of the kids themselves was the cause— as thus, spoiler free), other than that it just touched on the emotional side of it and vaguely mentioned some scenes.
i also remember at some point the later half (at the very least if not in all of it) of the video, music by Siinamota was playing in the background. Does anyone remember seeing a video like this?
I can't seem to find it anywhere and don't even remember the exact year I watched it.😭 It was the way I found out about this game a while ago, which eventually ended up in me playing it, and I really wish I could watch it again. I thought it was a deleted video by someone called hazel as it was mentioned by a lot of people, but I found that one and it isnt it.😓 I'm wondering if anyone remembers watching something along the lines of what im describing and knows if it's still up.

when people say have one on me didn't need to be a triple album i can't relate to that sentiment. i'm someone who wants artists to share even scraps and sketches she should release demos too i want to see. if it's work i'm interested in then i want a meandering journey. and every song on there is better than most music. but also, while i've listened to a lot of individual songs from that album many many times, i haven't gotten into/gotten to a place of fully appreciating all of them. and i don't really understand the album as a whole yet so honestly i wouldn't know. maybe one day i will agree that some things should've been cut
