someone on twitter made a good point that itzy going on hiatus would've put more pressure & demand on Lia to return but...that ot4 comeback seriously wasn't necessary. especially since new versions of the songs will be recorded with Lia anyway.

I think all the girls could've benefited from a rest period and maybe they could've just promoted their solos. full music videos for each, behind content, live solo performances. they were also releasing covers and performing at festivals, so it's not like they were twiddling their thumbs waiting for Lia to return. at the very least if they had to release something without her, it should've just been Algorythm.
