i am playing professor layton and the curious village on my ds. very fun!!!

I don't know if i'm very far in because most of the time spent in that game was me being confused and bad at puzzles. it's fun though.

!!! im glad to hear youre enjoying it!! its one of my fav titles and honestly such an underrated series, id love it if more ppl gave it a try!

the puzzles can be difficult but very rewarding!! i used to dread them as a kid but now i find them nice and challenging. the math ones are still hard, but if u speak to Flick at the cafe he'll give you chess puzzles which i think were my favorite ^_^

#its nice because its story driven but gives u enough room to do the puzzles on your own to make progress.. and the rewards like #the gizmos painting pieces and furniture for the minigames are also a nice bonus because it gives u a little extra incentive to solve as #many puzzles as possible!! ngl i didnt know how the hotel room minigame worked but i had fun completing the painting and robot dog #plus the variety and the fact that u dont know which puzzles youre gonna get makes it interesting. and theres no harm if u cant finish or #end up missing some because you can find them in the riddle shack or just do a different one instead and its fine. very cool #i have dyscalculia so the math ones have always been hard for me and id need my brothers help so we'd work on it together #or i'd just search up the answer as a last resort............#actually im gonna save u the trouble. if u get the camera case puzzle the answer is 95. ITS FUCKED UP I KNOW BUT ITS 95 #it took me like 2 hours with my brother just to figure that out and i dont want anyone to get a headache from that one ITS FRUSTRATING #ive only played curious village and pandoras box bc its the only ones i had as a kid. replaying pandoras box rn actually!!!#i have cracked versions of unwound future and azran legacy which come after CV and PB BUT my version of unwound future is broken #it freezes on the opening cutscene every time i try to play it which SUCKS bc i really wanna play the games in order. maybe ill emulate it #professor layton #ask #answered #yapping #doodles

#hit me that wow i survived childhood #i dont think ive ever really given myself credit for that #ive always deflected it #i always had to like present like a plan of the future to my mom so i never really carried the thought of like #not surviving #but like i was always very self destructive and cataclysmic and splitting #and i never really recognized that about myself until i really started dealing with debilitating depression in college #college and dropping out and going back #i never really synthesized that time in life as a singular version of myself #cuz i was going thru a lot of changes in those years #i am having a lil bit of a 'who am i' thing right this moment #idk #anti depressants are good #well im funny and im chill i know that much #i have music and shows that i like #i like taking pictures of my cat and making patches #painting and drawing #my brain has always been faster with ideas than words and that why i used to stutter #that and my mom wanted me to be right handed which idk but i was told that had something to do with it #ill take any opportunity to be smug because i think its funny #i angst about how i miss my family but i objectively do better the less i talk to them #im really glad i dont want to hurt myself these days

whats up motornation or whatever do we do ocs here

wanted to finalize my design of my girl oc for this show so i decided to make her in VROID, as i often do when i need to finalize an oc design, cuz its fun to use and pretty versatile if you know your way around textures n shit

speaking of that, the textures of the hair, shirt, gloves, socks were drawn by me (by editing the t-shirt and otk socks items, but i freehanded the gloves' texture)

prince's infodump about how i made the shoes and also who the oc is under the cut cuz its long:

the way vroid works is kind of weird where shoes can be edited on a sort of grid thats a certain height (this goes for most of the items honestly) regardless of shoe height. basically the shoes i used as the base here were low-top sneakers that I drew a texture over using the grid system to make them into demonia boots. I also made the soles go as platform as possible in the settings to help them look like those.

This oc is named Avery (Ava for short). She used to live in Deluxe but fell into MotorCity (literally) after the walls of her pod shut off by accident in the middle of the night. While there, she met a barely working H.O.U.N.D that she'd activated by accident when he broke her fall in the scrapyard she ended up in, taking him in as her new pet/protector in this weird new place (she calls him Pup, by the way. hes completely harmless and acts like a real dog, unless someone tries to hurt Ava lol) The scrapyard ended up being the home base of a weird boy named Victor (though he calls himself Mazk, due to the weird mask he wears that covers half his face) who doesn't trust her at all due to her Deluxian appearance. She returns to the scrapyard later, having acquired clothes that more closely reassembled his (though she wears a very poofy skirt underneath her oversized band tee, much to his chagrin) and dyed her hair a very dark pink (she used to be blonde) and this convinces him to let her join his gang (of one guy) and she suggests becoming a band, dubbing them "AV Club" (Ava and Victor club!!! or audiovisual club depending on which member you ask)

Being fairly close to the edge of MotorCity (or as close as they're able to get to the border, cuz i think it was canon that nobody lives/is allowed to live 20-25 miles from the borders?) means the two (+ Pup) dont interact with other gangs as much, though they do think the Burners are cool. They don't normally drive their car, AJAX (a 1965 Red Mustang Convertible) but they do use her for the kitchen installed in the backseat and the hidden amps she has for their music.
