Secret Sword 2023 Update

Hi!

We are coming up on January 6th fast. It is the day we will be opening up the collection and the creators will be putting their works up ANONYMOUSLY for the first week under the collection at Ao3.

We didn't put up one earlier because fics and arts saved as "Drafts" backdate to the date they were uploaded and end up *not* coming up on the front page of the Lucifer works section of AO3 on the 6th that way. However, on Saturday the 6th of January, we will be putting the collection up. That's six days from now. If you are struggling with your assignment or think you have to drop out, that is okay.

All you have to do is privately message me (ivyquinnauthor here on tumblr or via email = ivyquinnauthor@gmail.com). No hard feelings! We have a slew of pinch hitters/back up artist and authors who can pitch in. We just prefer warning now.

I was tagged by @matchstickdolly to post the last lines of my WIPs. All of these are Lucifer fics. Some are the last lines of the story, some are the last line I have written chronologically. None of them should spoil anything.

1. He held the images in his mind as he closed his eyes.

2. Of course, it wasn’t, and she had to make through until he returned. One way or another, she had to try. 

3. They settled in front of the fire, entwined on a lounger, not needing to say anything for now. 

4.  She wanted him to be hers for the rest of her life and beyond. 

5. “You’re right, of course. And Uriel seems to be more of a threat than I initially thought him to be. It would be wise if we didn’t underestimate him after this.”

“I think so.”

It was just a typo. It had to be. There was no way it could possibly be real. Chloe was being ridiculous for even entertaining the thought that it could somehow be accurate.

Chloe stared down at the department store ad in the newspaper, reading and rereading it until the words didn’t look like words anymore.

‘There will be a special appearance by Satan between the hours of 5pm and 9pm for your kids!’ it read.

Logically, Chloe knew that it was supposed to be ‘Santa’ and not ‘Satan’ but she was so desperate to see Lucifer again that she was seriously considering going.
