I discovered the Touhou song Flowering night because of two videos that had a bunch Invader Zim clips that had the Night of Nights remix of the song to it I watched again and again when I around 10-11 and it was long before I even knew what Touhou even was to begin with. Don’t know if this has been asked before, but what would be the IZ character’s’ favorite genre of music(and by extension band) to listen to?

Dib is a Lemon Demon fan. The mere existence of Touch Tone Telephone is all I need in terms of evidence.

Gaz strikes me as a fan of rock music, but I also know in my bones that she would also listen to a bunch of video game OSTs.

For Zim’s taste in music, just listen to the soundtrack of the show. Especially the main theme and end credits. Most of the soundtrack of Invader Zim is a good example of what Irken Music sounds like and the main theme and end credits are the Irken Imperial Anthem and the Irken Military Anthem respectively. So Zim is a fan of music with a similar vibe and feel of the show’s OST. Same goes for most irkens.
