Here's the continuation to my fanart where Chance leans in to kiss Jake, and it was left hanging as to whether Jake reciprocates or not. And he eventually does.

So I'm headcanoning both SWAT Kats as bisexuals because again, I still want the female characters who are into them be valid, only that Chance and Jake have stronger feelings for each other, and not in a platonic way anymore, hence the reciprocated kiss.

Just some doodles of Jake and Chance I did recently. I figure they’re not morning people, finding it hard to get enough sleep between running the garage, saving the City and trying to get themselves some girlfriends lol. Oh the life of young vigilante superheroes!

For the record, that’s not a religious symbol on Jake’s coffee mug, it’s crosshairs like in a sniper rifle’s scope. He is the duo’s “Sureshot” after all. Chance got it for him at one of those military surplus stores, just because it made him think of him, and now it’s Jake’s favorite ❤️ ☕️🎯

Original Description:

Jake Clawson and Chance Furlong AKA Razor and T-Bone of SWAT KATS: The Radical Squadron as the Phantom Thieves of Hearts. I mean, they got dishonorably discharged and sent to work at a salvage yard and their response was to go build their own jet and tech and fight bad guys? Pretty rebelious if you ask me.

THE THIEF OUTFIT I went for a more spy style catsuit (har har) for Jake, since he's the one who'd go in the field if the situation called for it.

I tried to do a mix of spysuit and aviator for Chance, though. His specialty was his piloting skills, so it fits.

Dunno how they pulled those masks off, unless the helmets only formed with the rest of the suits...

THE WEAPONS Ranged: While I am certain as Enforcers, these two were trained with guns, being vigilantes means just killing the target is off the table, so they would need to stick with things such as crossbows. (Though, tbf, only one of them has an aim good enough to kill a target cleanly anyway)

Melee: Besides their fisticuffs, I picture throwing daggers for Jake and a big ol' hammer for Chance.

CODENAME Razor and T-Bone XD ? Yeah, rather lazy, then again, do they need more secret identities? Then again, how many katizens even know what codenames the SWAT Kats have that using those in the Palaces would be a bad idea? Hmm…Well, I picture Chance going by Ace, cuz, y'know, Flying Ace and all, Jake, while a bit too close, could go as Jack, like, Jack of All Trades (RIO, weapons master, weapons designer/builder, mechanic, pretty large skill set).

PERSONA AND SKILL Chance - Simon Templar, a Robin Hood-like figure known as the Saint, Templar's targets include corrupt politicians, warmongers, and other low life.

Jake - Hong Gildong, an illegitimate son of a nobleman and his lowborn concubine, gifted with supreme intelligence and supernatural abilities, he steals from rich and corrupt aristocrats, which has drawn him comparisons to famous bandits like the English folk hero Robin Hood and Australia’s Ned Kelly.

As for Skills...with how he flies, I think Chance would be a good fit for Garu and Jake, well, either Frei - more because of his inventivness - or Agi - since air makes fire more powerful. Then again, could make it the other way around, the hotheaded hotshot and the coolheaded sureshot.
