In all seriousness

He was the air that I breathed. He glowed and was my light, the one who took me out of my darkness. He pulled me from an absolutely horrible past and brought me to the present. The talks we would have, the late night drives, the way he’d sleepily wake up next to me with a doppy smile. The way his hand would always gently hold mine, like he was scared i would break. My mother loved him and entrusted her daughter ‘s hand to him. We ran a national immunisation program like we were king and queen.

All i did was love him. All i did was not ask for more. I only asked him to be there.

Then he got distant. The light in him turned into a siren and nightmare and thats where the fights started. He would yell and i could do nothing but cry. Then i got numb and i just stared blankly as he yelled at me or dragged me by my hand that he before so gently held.

Then i saw the marks on his neck and him holding his hand as gently as he held mine. That was the day i broke. Nine days before today was the last day i saw the light completely disappear from him.

I saw red but i still love him. I’m confused and angry but at this point

What did i do?

I only loved him

I just wanted to bleh about something cuz I’m sobbing hard as i type this.

So a lot of yall might not know but I work for an NGO. These past few weeks Ive been so low and heartbroken and yesterday I accidentally channeled the sad while speaking to the head of a very important cargo company.

I told him about the sacrifices, ones that i wish could have been different so that they didn’t cause so much pain. I might have sounded so sad that i might have tugged on this old mans heart strings.

He said “the love this ngo has for their community, the sacrifices, the passion, we would love to be a part of this. We would also love to do this for free.”

I swear my heart stopped for a moment when he said that and I started to cry.

Today, my vaccines were flown safely and for free over the sea so that underprivileged girls can get the free vaccine.

My heart has never been so full 💗
