Remember when I said that the Jamaican Maroons would show up again with Canadian history?
There's a very simple reason for that. Namely that after the First and Second Maroon Wars they were briefly deported for a time to Nova Scotia and then became the THIRD set of people ethnically cleansed from the island. Nova Scotia has one of the ugliest histories in Canada and one that would be one of the hardest to present in any unbiased sense save in the harshest terms.

I'll never get over how FUNNY it was for me to be like
"I feel so sad and like I'm disconnected from black culture. People talk about all this stuff online and I have no relationship to it. I'm so upset that I feel like I'm not REALLY black because of this disconnect from black american culture. "
And my brother just being like
"Star."
"We're Canadian"
