What is The Unix Time and How Does It Work?
Tumblr media
The Unix Time is the number of seconds that has to be calculated since January 1st, 1970 at 00:00:00 UTC universally. This system is used to represent a point in time. It is usually a way of representing the timestamp by representing the time in the form of the number of seconds.
The Unix Time is not supposed to handle the extra seconds that occur on the extra day of the leap year.
There are two kinds of variations of the Unix time also as if sometimes the timestamp needs to represent a time that is quite smaller than one second then a variation of the Unix time Zone Converter needs to be employed at that time. The two of them are -
Unix Time in Decimals: Time in decimals is one of the ways to represent a time with great precision than a single second is instead of representing this time using the whole numbers, and instead of this using these decimals in representing the fraction of a second.
Unix Time in Milliseconds: convert time to milliseconds in java is another     option that is used in representing the timestamp using the number of milliseconds instead of the number of seconds that is continuing since the     Unix Time.
Unix Time is a nonlinear segment with a leap second that has the same Unix time as it is the second before it or after it. It is implementation-dependent so that every day can be treated as if it exactly contains the seconds. There are no seconds that are to be added or subtracted from the day as a result of the positive or a negative leap seconds. These remarked treatments of leap seconds show that the Unix time is not a complete or a trusty representation of the UTC.
This time is mostly and widely used in the operating systems as well as in the formats of the files also. In this type of operating system, the date is examined to be a command which will be used in the print or in the setting of the current time.
The Unix time is made up of the two layers of the encoding. The first layer is supposed to encode a point as a scalar real number in the time that represents the number of seconds that have been passed since January 1st, 1970 00:00:00 UTC. On the other hand, the second layer is supposed to encode the number that is as a sequence of any decimal digit or in bits.
How does the Unix time work?
The Unix timestamp is examined to be a sequence of the characters or any encoded information that is identified when a certain event occurs. It usually gives the date and the time of the day and sometimes it is accurate to a small fraction of a second.
Unix time is a remarkable way to track the time as a running total of seconds. This count gets to be started at the Unix Epoch that has started at the UTC on January 1st, 1970. Therefore, this Unix timestamp is entirely the number of seconds that is found to be in between the Unix time Epoch and a particular date.

ASF Bugzilla – Bug 48543 Patch More flexibility in specifying -Dcatalina.config Last modified: 2017-06-01 19:45:55 UTC. Get directions, maps, and traffic for Catalina, AZ. Check flight prices and hotel availability for your visit. AMD/ATI Radeon HD 5xxx and 6xxx series graphics acceleration: Currently, it is not possible to achieve full graphics acceleration under Catalina on any machines that use a Radeon HD 5xxx or 6xxx series GPU. If you have a machine with one of these GPUs installed, I'd advise upgrading it if possible (can be done in 2010/2011 iMacs, iMac11,x-12,x), disabling the dedicated GPU if using a 2011 15. This line would install the service. The argument //IS// installs the service without starting it. Probably the service wouldn't start anyway: A lot of configuration data needs to be stored into the registry first. Looking for adventure? Or maybe a relaxing day at the beach with friends? Perhaps you're planning your first visit to the island. No matter what your interests are, Catalina offers something for you. Before you start planning your Catalina getaway, please take a.
Introduction
There are several ways to set up Tomcat for running on different platforms. The main documentation for this is a file called RUNNING.txt. We encourage you to refer to that file if the information below does not answer some of your questions.
Windows
Installing Tomcat on Windows can be done easily using the Windows installer. Its interface and functionality is similar to other wizard based installers, with only a few items of interest.
Installation as a service: Tomcat will be installed as a Windows service no matter what setting is selected. Using the checkbox on the component page sets the service as 'auto' startup, so that Tomcat is automatically started when Windows starts. For optimal security, the service should be run as a separate user, with reduced permissions (see the Windows Services administration tool and its documentation).
Java location: The installer will provide a default JRE to use to run the service. The installer uses the registry to determine the base path of a Java 7 or later JRE, including the JRE installed as part of the full JDK. When running on a 64-bit operating system, the installer will first look for a 64-bit JRE and only look for a 32-bit JRE if a 64-bit JRE is not found. It is not mandatory to use the default JRE detected by the installer. Any installed Java 7 or later JRE (32-bit or 64-bit) may be used.
Tray icon: When Tomcat is run as a service, there will not be any tray icon present when Tomcat is running. Note that when choosing to run Tomcat at the end of installation, the tray icon will be used even if Tomcat was installed as a service.
Defaults: The defaults used by the installer may be overridden by use of the /C=<config file> command line argument. The configuration file uses the format name=value with each pair on a separate line. The names of the available configuration options are:
JavaHome
TomcatPortShutdown
TomcatPortHttp
TomcatPortAjp
TomcatMenuEntriesEnable
TomcatShortcutAllUsers
TomcatServiceDefaultName
TomcatServiceName
TomcatServiceFileName
TomcatServiceManagerFileName
TomcatAdminEnable
TomcatAdminUsername
TomcatAdminPassword
TomcatAdminRoles
By using /C=.. along with /S and /D= it is possible to perform fully configured unattended installs of Apache Tomact.
Refer to the Windows Service HOW-TO for information on how to manage Tomcat as a Windows service.
The installer will create shortcuts allowing starting and configuring Tomcat. It is important to note that the Tomcat administration web application can only be used when Tomcat is running.
Unix daemon
Tumblr media
Tomcat can be run as a daemon using the jsvc tool from the commons-daemon project. Valorant logo maker game. Source tarballs for jsvc are included with the Tomcat binaries, and need to be compiled. Building jsvc requires a C ANSI compiler (such as GCC), GNU Autoconf, and a JDK.
Before running the script, the JAVA_HOME environment variable should be set to the base path of the JDK. Alternately, when calling the ./configure script, the path of the JDK may be specified using the --with-java parameter, such as ./configure --with-java=/usr/java.
Using the following commands should result in a compiled jsvc binary, located in the $CATALINA_HOME/bin folder. This assumes that GNU TAR is used, and that CATALINA_HOME is an environment variable pointing to the base path of the Tomcat installation.
Please note that you should use the GNU make (gmake) instead of the native BSD make on FreeBSD systems.
Guy beahm dr disrespect. The latest tweets from @guybeahm.
Tomcat can then be run as a daemon using the following commands.
Amazon chime android. When runnong on Java 9 you will need to additionally specify the following when starting jsvc to avoid warnings on shutdown.
You may also need to specify -jvm server if the JVM defaults to using a server VM rather than a client VM. This has been observed on OSX.
SongBook manages your song collections with lyrics and chords. Tap or click on a chord to see it's definitions Automatic formatting for current screen size, auto-zoom auto-scroll. SongbookPro Manger is included with the app free of charge, unlike some other solutions. Songbook free. SongBook, free and safe download. SongBook latest version: Store your song collection complete with lyrics and chords. MySongBook is a library of tabs written by professional musicians. What you will find in it are new, previously unreleased arrangements for stringed instruments (guitar, ukulele, bass, and banjo), as well as full scores that include the complete transcriptions of every track in the original pieces.
Catalina Direct
jsvc has other useful parameters, such as -user which causes it to switch to another user after the daemon initialization is complete. This allows, for example, running Tomcat as a non privileged user while still being able to use privileged ports. Note that if you use this option and start Tomcat as root, you'll need to disable the org.apache.catalina.security.SecurityListener check that prevents Tomcat starting when running as root.
Catalina Wine Mixer
jsvc --help will return the full jsvc usage information. In particular, the -debug option is useful to debug issues running jsvc.
The file $CATALINA_HOME/bin/daemon.sh can be used as a template for starting Tomcat automatically at boot time from /etc/init.d with jsvc.
Note that the Commons-Daemon JAR file must be on your runtime classpath to run Tomcat in this manner. The Commons-Daemon JAR file is in the Class-Path entry of the bootstrap.jar manifest, but if you get a ClassNotFoundException or a NoClassDefFoundError for a Commons-Daemon class, add the Commons-Daemon JAR to the -cp argument when launching jsvc.

How to be productive with Oracle NoSQL Database in less than 5 mins!
We often get requests from our users and customers on how they can get started with using Oracle NoSQL Database on-premises. I am starting this series of blogs where we look into the various options for deployment that are available with the Oracle NoSQL Database. In this first edition, we’ll look at the simplest and the easiest option to start with NoSQL Database called KVlite. KVLite Are you looking to be productive with Oracle NoSQL Database in less than 5 mins? Are you looking to try the NoSQL Database APIs and quickly test your application business logic without setting up a flow-blown database server?  Are you looking to evaluate Oracle NoSQL DB with a small dataset without allocating resources that a production server requires? If the answer to any of the above questions is yes, then you need KVlite. KVLite is a simplified, lightweight version of the Oracle NoSQL Database. It provides a single-node store that is not replicated. It runs in a single process without requiring any administrative interface. Users can configure, start, and stop KVLite using a command-line interface.           KVlite KVLite is intended for use by application developers who need to unit test their Oracle NoSQL Database application. It is not intended for production deployment or performance measurements. KVLite is installed when you install Oracle NoSQL Database. It is available in the kvstore.jar file in the lib directory of your Oracle NoSQL Database distribution. KVLite can be run within a docker container or on a VM or on bare metal machines. At the time of writing the blog, the current version of NoSQL DB is 19.3 and following are the prerequisite for running KVLite  : * Java 8 or greater * Minimum of 5GB disk space. KVLite  Starting KVLite You start KVLite by using the kvlite utility, which can be found in KVHOME/lib/kvstore.jar. If you use this utility without any command line options, then KVLite will run with the following default values: * The store name is kvstore. * The hostname is the local machine. * The registry port is 5000. * The directory where Oracle NoSQL Database data is placed (known as KVROOT) is./kvroot. * The administration process is turned on using port 5001. Let’s dive in. Open any terminal and type the following command: $ java -Xmx64m -Xms64m -jar lib/kvstore.jar kvlite Expected Output: Generated password for user admin: password User login file: ./kvroot/security/user.security Created new kvlite store with args: -root ./kvroot -store kvstore -host localhost -port 5000 -secure-config enable In a second shell, ping the KVLite instance to verify that KVLite got started $ java -Xmx64m -Xms64m -jar lib/kvstore.jar ping -host localhost -port 5000 -security kvroot/security/user.security Expected output: Pinging components of store kvstore based upon topology sequence #14 10 partitions and 1 storage nodes Time: 2017-05-02 09:34:43 UTC   Version: 12.2.4.4.6 Shard Status: healthy:1 writable-degraded:0 read-only:0 offline:0 Admin Status: healthy Zone [name=KVLite id=zn1 type=PRIMARY allowArbiters=false]   RN Status: online:1 offline:0 Storage Node [sn1] on localhost:5000    Zone: [name=KVLite id=zn1 type=PRIMARY allowArbiters=false]            Status: RUNNING   Ver: 12cR2.4.4.6 2017-04-13 06:54:25 UTC  Build id: d6a9b947763f        Admin [admin1]            Status: RUNNING,MASTER        Rep Node [rg1-rn1] Status: RUNNING,MASTER sequenceNumber:204 haPort:5006 The status indicates that the KVLite is up and running. Here we started KVLite in secured mode, if we want to start in unsecure mode execute the kvstore.jar file using the -enable-secure disable flag to disable security and start KVLite in unsecure mode. That’s it you are done!    http://bit.ly/2x4xXtz

from https://qiita.com/ryuichi1208/items/c96d39a57e11d54f02bf?utm_campaign=popular_items&utm_medium=feed&utm_source=popular_items
Tumblr media
背景
https://speakerdeck.com/stormcat24/oqian-falsedockerimezihamadazhong-i
Docker
Twitter
What is docker-slim ?
docker-slim/docker-slim
docker-slim [version|info|build|profile] [--http-probe|--remove-file-artifacts] <IMAGE_ID_OR_NAME>
$ uname -a Linux ubuntu0827 4.15.0-39-generic #42-Ubuntu SMP Tue Oct 23 15:48:01 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux $ docker --version Docker version 18.06.1-ce, build e68fc7a
Dockerfile
Dockerfile
FROM ubuntu:latest ENV JAVA_HOME /usr/lib/jvm/java-8-oracle RUN echo oracle-java8-installer shared/accepted-oracle-license-v1-1 select true | debconf-set-selections && \ apt-get update && \ apt-get install -y software-properties-common && \ add-apt-repository -y ppa:webupd8team/java && \ apt-get update && \ apt-get install -y oracle-java8-installer CMD "/bin/bash"
導入
$ curl -L -O https://github.com/docker-slim/docker-slim/releases/download/1.22/dist_linux.tar.gz % Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current Dload Upload Total Spent Left Speed 100 607 0 607 0 0 988 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 986 100 5199k 100 5199k 0 0 366k 0 0:00:14 0:00:14 --:--:-- 791k $ tar zxvf dist_linux.tar.gz dist_linux/ dist_linux/docker-slim dist_linux/docker-slim-sensor dist_linux dist_linux.tar.gz django_work git-work iog kubernetes omnibus-gitlab-master python.py work $ cd dist_linux/ $ ls docker-slim docker-slim-sensor
$ cat .images/c7c3170996a5c5a62e5544165a9dbd234e2139e5745eec1fc01948a2d2ea396f/artifacts/Dockerfile FROM scratch COPY files / ENV PATH "/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin" ENV JAVA_HOME "/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-oracle" CMD ["/bin/sh","-c","\"/bin/bash\""]

When you develop some software you may not think about timezones at first. Unless you live in a country which has to deal with multiple time zones, such as the United States or Russia. I recently came across an issue involving timezones. There were some unit tests making assertions about dates that used to work at my office in France but weren't working in Morocco for new members on our team. Here is the unit test working in France but not in Morocco ‌This was an opportunity for me to learn how to correctly handle dates and times for international software. In this article, I’ll introduce time zone issues and share some rules to follow. Quick introduction to time zones As the earth is kind of a sphere, the sun is rising in Japan while it's setting in America. If everyone used global time, let’s say 09:00 would be sunrise in Japan, but for Americans it would be sunset. Not very handy. To make sure the time is coordinated with the sun for everyone, it’s necessary to shift from global time according to your location. As a result, the globe gets split into time zones and each gets an offset. This offset is a number of minutes to add to the global time to get your time zone time. It can be either positive or negative. Standard world time zones — Illustration by Hellerick from Wikimedia Commons Global time is called UTC, it stands for Coordinated Universal Time. You may also heard about GMT which is a time zone without any offset. For instance, when it’s 10:50 at UTC, it’s also  03:50 in San Francisco with a -0700 offset and 18:50 in Beijing with a +0800 offset. Yet, the shift isn’t only in whole hours: Nepal's offset is +0545. You can check it out on Wikipedia. In addition of this offset, which comes with the time zone, some countries also shift clocks twice a year. DST or summer time adds one hour to the time zone offset before summer. Then, the clock is reset to the time zone time in winter. The goal is to make the daytime longer. The most common way to figure out a time zone is by using the IANA Time Zone Database. You end up with a string such as Europe/Paris following the Area/City pattern. Besides, Microsoft maintains its own Microsoft Time Zone Database used on its operating systems. But this can cause issues when running cross-platform .NET Core apps. IANA is still the go-to. The Microsoft database isn't updated often, it contains less history, fairly curious time zone names (eg: Romantic Standard Time) and is error prone. For example, try to not mix up Arab , Arabic and Arabian Standard Time. For more details on each database and their differences, check out this article. One last thing: there are plenty of ways to write a date. Fortunately, the ISO 8601 specification sets a common rule for date formatting. Altcoin TRON (TRX) launched a beta version of its independent public blockchain at 12 am UTC, today May 31, according to a press release shared with Cointelegraph. Tron is currently the tenth largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.
The move to Tron's MainNet - also dubbed Odyssey 2.0 - is part of a transition away from the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain, which currently underpins the cryptocurrency's network. According to the press release, MainNet's beta testing period will span most of June. The full launch of the network's Genesis block is set to take place on June 25, styled 'Independence Day' by the TRON foundation.
Token 'migration' will take place between June 21 and June 24, during which investors will be able to exchange their ERC-20 standard tokens on crypto exchanges for an equivalent number of TRX on the new blockchain.
The move to an independent network will test TRON's claims as a competitor to Ethereum in providing a basic-layer public blockchain platform that supports decentralized application (dApp) development. The new Java-based MainNet uses a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm.
TRON's developers claim their internal tests have shown that the network is -400 times faster" than Ethereum's.
To this end, the TRON foundation is stressing -the shedding of its ECR-20 identity," and has placed an emphasis on achieving scalability and decentralization in its press campaign. The team has scheduled a 'Super Representative Election' for June 26, in which TRON community members will vote on new policies governing the network.
TRON's market price has not responded strongly in the short-term to the new developments. TRX is currently trading at $0.06, down 0.3 of a percent over the 24-hour period to press time, and down around 14 percent from $0.07 on the week.
The cryptocurrency has nonetheless succeeded to garner a market cap of almost $4 bln, provoking sharp criticism from Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, who referred to TRX's pricing as an example of an overvaluation that was -far ahead of" its actual accomplishments.
Last week, news broke that TRON founder Justin Sun is reportedly in the process of acquiring BitTorrent Inc., the operator of uTorrent, notwithstanding prior disagreements surrounding alleged exclusivity infringements. As of press time, the acquisition has not been confirmed.
