The way I love Marie Moreau. Like genuinely.

The AFAB Black kids, but also just the Black community in general, got such good representation in her character, along with the amazing actress they chose to play her.

I don’t think non-black people can really grasp just how fucking great and rare an addition to film and media she truly is for us as a marginalized group— with the level of depth they gave her, with how much emotion Jaz put into each scene???

It is not often at all that we get such meaningful and true to life portrayals that have African American women just be regular girls at the core of their character development.

We get to see Marie sad, and there are a number of times where she’s feeling down and out— but we also get to see the side of her that loves life, that wholeheartedly cherishes interacting with people.

And at the end of the day, she just wants to find a place for herself to exist.

She just wants to be a good person.

And during season one, she gets to have so many amazing milestones that truly portray her (perhaps to communities who haven’t seen black women in such a light) as a “normal” girl.

Marie falls in love, she explores her sexuality, briefly.

She makes friends, she learns how to create meaningful bonds and realizes how important it is to maintain them once you find the right people.

She navigates the real world, recognizes just how many different pathways exist in terms of how you personally choose to navigate life/how you interact with it morally and ethically— and she determinedly carves out her own rite of passage.

Marie is brave, she’s kind, and so, so, so authentic. And I love her so much because I see countless Black girls, as well as myself, in her.

She’s amazing.

TLDR, representation matters, black girl magic is phenomenal to witness as per usual and I’m so happy she exists.

I think Tati Gabrielle or Jaz Sinclair could be a good fit for children of Klaus and Bonnie.

Is it me or is it much easier to fancast Klonnie daughters than Klonnie sons? It might be a Bennett witch thing or the fact that Klaus is already a girl dad in canon and I love that. Neither Tati or Jaz really feel like Klonnie kids to me. I love them both but there isn't much likeness to Bonnie AND Klaus. Both would make good Bennetts though.

And I love Bennett witch fancasting! Because Jaz Sinclair already plays Beatrice, how about we switch the roles between Beatrice and Lucy! Beatrice doesn't get the appreciation she deserves. We only knew her briefly but she ate. I don’t think we need any more doppelgängers okay (there were too many!). There is nothing wrong with Lucy or Lucy’s actress. It is just harder to find material for Lucy to create with. Jaz is more visible and easier to work with. Let Bonnie play the older cousin role in this instance. She’s maternal and compassionate to all her friends Cousin Beatrice deserves the same. Instead of Lucy being enslaved to Katherine temporarily, let Bonnie go out and seek other Bennett witches when she is off screen and not with her friends.

We can’t talk about Beatrice Bennett without praising Jaz with her leading role as Marie Moreau. If you haven’t seen Gen V or even The Boys. I think as many others have said online Marie is the perfect love child of Bonnie and Katara from ATLA!

I don’t think Tati looks like Kat or Joseph but I’d love to see her as a Bennett witch too. The energy she had with her portrayal as Prudence would align perfectly in the family. In this gif in particular it reminds me of the vampire hunters/huntress arc which the hunters curse was created by unknown Bennett witch…

We really deserved to see more of this bloodline by themselves not being utilized to uplifts every white characters storyline. No one in TVDU has feats that matches with the Bennett’s! They are defined as blessed. We needed more Bennett witches kicking ass together. I’m mad that we don’t have it! When I think of face claims or fancasting for Klonnie's kids, I go based on vibes and looks. If there isn't any resemblance between Bonnie and Klaus physically, then I just can't picture it.

hollywood is full of nepo babies whose place in the industry tends to be interrogated. liv is not one of those people. she came from a regular family in georgia, usa.

if she was gonna be special at anything, it would probably be school. but she was never a prodigy, just a geeky girl who got fairly good grades.

she had a big family. she only had a few siblings but she lived with her cousins too, and her grandparents. liv didn't stand out.

that was until she bagged an audition for the role of some big actress' daughter in the 2010s. at a very young age, liv showed remarkable talent.

The restaurant wasn't very full, but the usual came in and had shown interest in the performance happening soon.
