His mother used to say you’re born with your soulmate’s eyes.  I’m told it’s magical when you meet, she used to whisper to him, It’s like you finally learn how to breathe.  Jean would spend hours in his youth wondering what his soulmate would be like.  Would it make his worries stop?  Would he finally know what he was supposed to do with his life?  Jean’s certain she meant it as a comfort—that you shouldn’t worry about where you are now, because someday you’ll be right where you need to be.  

Jean wishes that were true. Thinking back on it now, all it really does is remind Jean with a pang of guilt that he’ll probably be just as big of a problem for his ��soulmate” as he was for her before she passed.

So excited to be a part of the @jmzine​ - Strings of Fate, a JeanMarco Soulmate AU.  My story is called “Misguided Ghosts” and it joins 19 other incredible artists and writers for over 100 pages of JeanMarco goodness!

Summary: When soulmates move in close enough proximity to each other, their reflections in the mirror will change, reflecting the face of their soulmate instead of their own. Jean wakes up one day to find himself staring at the reflection of a handsome, freckled young man that he’s never seen before in his life.
