Practice never stops ndat, but really feel like I found a motivation to step a thing up and show up again and more on my time thanks to my king, Little Simz.

Something synchronous and then silly serendipitous came about and there was the glowing arterial thread that is the soundtracking and energy sharing and guiding and validating Simz has given us. Personally long time grateful for Simz in ways I can’t get into here.

All that added together, I (finally) made a Little Simz fanzine - one in the works for tiiimeee - on the occasion of her 30th birthday. A perfect deadline.

It’s a Wes/Finn bonus scene – from my Wes/Finn seasonal short stories – for the ‘zine flash fic challenge, which is, er, not flash fic length, because this is me. *laughs*

Zine workshop is happening again!

When? March 25th, at 17:00 Where? Behemoth's centre, Kalevi 15, Tartu

💡 Want to make your very own short comic, DIY collection of poems, distribute your literary creations in physical form or just learn a fun art skill? 📎 Then come to our workshop next Saturday (25/03) to learn how to make zines!

There will be a technical demonstration in the first part of the workshop, after which participants will be able to experiment and create their very own zines freely. 🖍

✂️ Art supplies will be provided on site, but you can bring your own markers, pencils, scissors, glue, magazines, etc. ✏️

The project (and this event!) is funded by the Active Citizens Fund of the EEA Grants, operated in Estonia by the Open Estonia Foundation in consortium with the Network of Estonian Non-profit Organisations. 💜

Elizabeth JM Walker my Canadian zine and book collaborating friend, has updated and published the story about her grandmother who was a nurse to POW’s in World War 2. I was lucky to get to illustrate it. It’s a story of the ordinary people who are caught up in the decisions of others. Unfortunately, it is still relevant. We did forget. Happy Friday! For today, we’ve got three presents!

The first is a free 18k story by lovely writer-friend Ellie Thomas, if you like gloriously detailed late-18th-century historical m/m romance – Ellie’s “The Long Game” is today’s free story in the JMS Books advent calendar! You can grab it directly here or visit the advent calendar here!
