What are your thoughts on Jelgura?

I just realized that I’ve overlooked this question. 

If you mean romantic Jelgura, it sounds like anguish and drama. 

As for their relationship in the canon story, while it’s good for Kagura to move on from the past and that now they are able to see each other as fellow mages, the whole reconciliation is lacking depth and development. Luckily, the Fairy Tail game supplements with good contents, fills in missing pieces.

Jellal walked down the sidewalk, relatively dry under hisumbrella as a tide of water swept down the street in a dull roar.  He imagined that it must be what a waterfallsounded like in person.  Having neverseen one himself before, he had only the storm water to go by.

Thankfully, he had thought to bring his umbrella today onthe off chance that the grey clouds on the horizon led to something.  And they had, opening up and pouring down insheets when he was halfway home after school had let out.  The initial drenching had still caught him,and his shoes squelched from accidentally stepping in a puddle, but at least hewasn’t getting any more wet than he already was.

The street was mostly deserted, he noticed.  Not many people in this town wanted to runaround in the rain, umbrella or no.  Avast difference from the city he’d lived in before, where the streets were sotightly packed with umbrellas on rainy days where someone without one couldpass under the cover without getting a drop of water on them.  Not that he’d… tried that, himself.

A spot of color in the washed-out world caught hisattention, and he peered at it through the rain.  As he got closer, it coalesced into the formof a girl.  A girl he recognized as oneKagura Mikazuchi.  She was huddled undera slip of cover provided by a closed shop’s door, rain absolutely pouring allaround her.  Kagura looked completelymiserable, in her all white uniform. Well, that explained why she hadn’t made a break for it.  Though, judging from how she was glaring outat the storm, she might well do it anyway.

When Jellal reached where she stood, he paused.  Warm relief shone in her eyes for a moment,and then turned abruptly icy as recognition set in.  “Jellal,” she hissed at him.  “Come to gloat at the girl that forgot herumbrella?”

Honestly, Jellal had no clue as to why she despised him, butshe had ever since they were children studying at the same kendo dojo.  But it was powerful enough to lead to a greatdeal of trouble for him, even though they attended different high schools.  He got along just fine with her brother andher adopted sister Erza.  It was justKagura that had a problem with him.

“Well?” she snapped when he hesitated for too long.

Jellal heaved a sigh. “Look, I know you hate me.  Andthat’s fine.   But if you can put thataside for the next few minutes, I’ll be happy to share the umbrella and walkyou home.  Sound doable?”

She contemplated it for a full minute, the seconds tickingagonizingly by as the rain pummeled the ground and Kagura’s eyes flicked backand forth between it and Jellal.

Finally, she chose the lesser of two evils and noddedslightly.  “I think I can do that.”

Face brightening, Jellal held it out to her.  “Let’s get going, then.”

It was uncomfortable as all hell, sharing the umbrella withKagura.  They had to walk shoulderspressed together or rain would drip on their heads, or down their backs.  As it was, Jellal was pretty sure his outsidearm was getting soaked and so was Kagura’s. Regardless of how uncomfortable it made the both of them, they trekkedon through the downpour in silence.

Eventually Kagura’s home swam into sight – attached to thedojo Jellal remembered spending a large amount of time practicing in.

“You stopped coming to practice,” Kagura suddenly accusedhim, the first she’d spoken since agreeing to share the umbrella.  “Erza and Simon won’t say it, but they missyou.”  She glared up at him.  “Come and visit them, sometimes.”

Jellal opened his mouth to reply, but before he could,Kagura tore her gaze away from his.  Shetook off into the rain – making a mad dash for the safety of the porch with herbookbag held over her head.  Once she’dreached it, she paused and half turned back to look at him.

He raised an eyebrow at her, and gave her a small wave.

With a huff, she looked away and hurried inside.

Was she checking to see if he was still there?  If so, that was almost… endearing.  Honestly, this was the friendliest Kagura hadbeen with him since she was five, and he seven.

He considered it progress. On that happier note, he continued walking home, the rain seeming alittle less dreary than before.

Ye-ah, I’ve had several “jokes” come back and bite me in the ass. The jelgura CPR thing most notably. Irene being an actual dragon would be another prime example. Romeo and Juvia is the one I regret flippantly throwing out there because then we got that nonsensical chain scene, which was just as unwise as chugging poison without checking to see if the other kid is really dead, but rather silly considering both Gray and Juvia should know better.

Kagura shuddered when he looked at the big fall. She damned the moment Milliana convinced her to do bungee jumping with her. To make things worse, her friend had jumped in the previous turn, and now she had to wait with a stranger. If she survived that, she would murder her. 

“You look nervous,” the blue haired male said. 

“No shit, Sherlock.” She rolled her eyes. When she saw that the stranger was blushing and looking away because of her harsh reply, she felt guilty and put a hand on his shoulder. “Oh my… I tend to be so sarcastic when I’m nervous… You must think I’m rude or something… I’m sorry.”

“Oh you don’t have…” He scratched the back of his neck with one of his hands. “I saw that you were uneasy and I wanted to tell you that you can do it…”

“Oh, thank you…” A noticeable blush appeared on her cheeks. “By the way, my name’s Kagura.”

“Jellal.”

Captain America Civil War AU + heartbeat of hatred

notes: regrettably i haven’t watched this movie. although honestly i probably wouldn’t naturally watch that movie so for this…i’ll look up a quick synopsis ahah. although i have to note there’s been lots of marvel these days.

There’s only a few things Kagura needs to know about super soldier Jellal Fernandes: one, that he killed her brother, and two, that the first blood her spear would taste would be his.

She snarls victoriously, trapping him under her body weight, and declares her revenge for King Simon complete as she swings down her blade but then he interrupts her with a shocked expression and – “I did what?”

And damn it all, because she thinks she saw a flint of regret in his blank blue eyes, and she actually believes him.

Send me an AU and a ship, and I’ll write you a three sentence drabble!
