Decorating the Winterfest Tree

Vivian and Manny put up their first Winterfest tree in their new home and bring the ornaments up from the basement, some of which are new and some of which are old ornaments their parents passed on to them. Manny takes a seat on the couch.

Manny: Okay, get busy. Aren’t you finished decorating the tree yet?

Vivian: (laughing) Hey! You have to help me.

Manny: (joking) Okay, fine. Be that way.

Manny looks for the box with the garland in it.

Manny: What’s in this box? Oh, these are the ornaments your mom gave us.

Vivian: Those are going to look nice.

Manny finds the garland and wraps it around the tree.

Manny: How does that look?

Vivian makes some minor adjustments to Manny’s work, and then they finish by putting the ornaments on.

Manny: Merry Winterfest, darlin’.

Vivian: Merry Winterfest, my love.

Summoning SimLit writers!

I’m new to sim literature, both as a reader and writer, but I’m hoping to branch out into the simlit community and find simmers that would be interested in exchanging feedback on sim stories.

About My Sim Writing Style

I am a creative writer, which means, I only do original stories.

Sim photography is equally as important in my sim story as written words. When I screenshot a scene, I try to capture believable facial expressions, versus, generic autonomous sim reactions.

I prefer to write in third-person narrative.

I’m not the most well versed writer ever but I do try to make a conscious effort in formatting legible sentences, including spelling, grammar, and dialogue breaks.

I hate “filler chapters” and do my best to ensure that each chapter has something worthy to read.
