Drabble 16 - Jungkook and Taehyung make a shocking discovery
warnings: swearing
FULL SERIES COLLECTION
It’s a Thursday night, Jungkook and Taehyung are sitting in Jungkook’s lounge watching hours upon hours of security footage from both yours and Kook’s apartment building that the private investigator has been kind enough to share with them. There’s leftover Chinese takeout food scattered across the dark wooden coffee table, it’s almost eleven pm, adrenaline and desperation are the only thing keeping the pair awake.
After your police questioning Jungkook rushed over to Taehyung’s townhouse, where you explained to him that you think Namjoon still may have a key to your apartment, making him (in Jungkook’s opinion) their number one suspect. Jimin was there too, he gave details of how he’d seen your ex and Jennie right outside the building, something that you’d told Jungkook previously but he hadn’t thought much of it until that day. That was a week ago now, and every night since after work he and Taehyung have dedicated what little free time they have to watching the security footage themselves.
Recently he purchased a new television for a date idea he’d planned, and executed perfectly, little did he know just how useful that decision would prove to be. Now there’s two huge televisions in his lounge, the usual one, mounted to wall with an electric fire underneath – and the new one, sitting directly in front of the fire on the hard floor. Your building security tape is playing on the top tv, Jungkook’s on the bottom. Between the two best friends they’re adamant that they’re going to solve this themselves, as the police and private investigators have proven to be useless.
“You’d better be prepared for the case of your life,” Jungkook mumbles, he’s sat back in sweatpants and a hoodie, legs spread wide open as he keeps his eyes fixed to the screens in front of him, “Cause’ if I see Namjoon on this thing I’m gonna kill him myself.”
At this Taehyung laughs sleepily, adjusting the thin gold rimmed glasses that he has to wear when concentrating to save himself a headache, eyes still glued to the screens, “You’ll have to find a new attorney cause if it turns out he did this, I’ll help you bury his body.”
“What I don’t understand is how somebody was able to get into my apartment to steal the camera and then Y/N’s to leak the video,” Kook rubs his face, reminding himself that he needs to shave in the morning, “Namjoon would’ve never been allowed in my building.”
“What about Jennie? She’s been here before right?”
“Mmm, somebody would’ve stopped her, it’s been over a year since she was last here and even then I think she only came over once.”
Taehyung takes a beat before deciding to change the subject, he needs a mental break from this whole situation that’s taken over his life, “So when’s Y/N moving in?”
“Haven’t asked her yet,” Jungkook huffs with an awkward chuckle, “It’s hard to find the right moment for something like that with this shit going on.”
Pretty soon after you’d first said ‘I love you’ he told his best friend he was going to ask you to live with him, not because you’re ‘technically homeless’ but because he dreads the days when he wakes up and you’re not here. Six months ago Taehyung would’ve been shocked at the fact he wanted to take such a big step in a relationship, but the only shocking part about this is how Taehyung has actually managed to keep it a secret.
“Does your mom know that she’s gonna be moving in?”
“Yeah she’s all for it, my dad tried to talk me out of it obviously but when have I ever cared about his opinion?” Jungkook scoffs, mostly to himself. He’s unsure why his dad doesn’t approve of his relationship but truthfully he doesn’t care, his father doesn’t approve of a lot of things he does and it’s never stopped him from doing them.
“I guess some people could say it’s a bit soon, you’ve known each other what six months now?” Taehyung leans forward, taking a quick sip of fanta before settling back into his seat.
“Ahh that’s true but…” Jungkook smiles, quickly checking his phone for any notifications, typing a quick reply when he sees your name, “When you know, you know.”
Y/N: I miss you ☹
Jungkook: I miss you too baby
“I’m jealous, didn’t know you were such a romantic.” Tae chuckles, cracking his stiff neck as Jungkook pockets his phone, “Hang on is that Jennie?”
Both men sit up straight, suddenly feeling wide awake. Jungkook pauses the screens, and there his ex whatever she is was – clear as day, unlocking the door to your old apartment with a key she’d pulled from her coat pocket. She was alone, glancing round the corridor before entering your private space.
“Ring the PI,” Jungkook instructs his friend, “That’s Jennie.”
“How hasn’t somebody picked up on this?” Taehyung frowns, he’s furious, already dialling the number of their private investigator.
“What’s the bet that she got that key from Namjoon?” Jungkook’s voice is raised as it all clicks into place, your ex-boyfriend is a dead man.
“Over the odds I’d say.” Tae mumbles, calling the PI again when he doesn’t answer the first time, “It must’ve been Jennie who stole your camera from your apartment too.”
But that doesn’t make any sense to Jungkook – there’s no way Jennie would’ve been able to get into his apartment without being questioned, all the security staff know to let you in because you’re his girlfriend, but her? There’s just no way. He’s frowning, checking the date of the security footage from your building so he knows exactly when the tape was leaked. It was the final day of your trip to Korea, of course it was, so that means his camera had to have been stolen before that. While Taehyung attempts to reach the PI one final time Jungkook rewinds the footage playing on the bottom tv, going back to the day before Jennie broke into your apartment.
“We’ve already watched this Guk.” Taehyung looks to him with confusion, somewhat sleep deprived.
“We must’ve missed something, the camera had to be stolen before that.”
Jungkook’s going crazy, all he can think about is the fallout of what Jennie had done. He’d almost lost you, important company investors, not to mention his mom was heartbroken to say the least. All the shit you’ve been through was because of her, her and Namjoon. His leg bounces as a distraction from his own intrusive thoughts.
“Guk the only person that goes in is Y/N.” Taehyung can tell his best friend is close to snapping, but he knows full-well that they’ve already watched the footage for that day and so he tries to rationalise with him, “We watched this two days ago, look it’s Y/N-“ He points to the screen upon seeing your figure arrive at the building wearing all black.
“Wait.” Your boyfriend pauses the television, Taehyung sighs, “Is this clip from the day before Jennie was at Y/N’s apartment?”
Tae freezes, frantically checking the tiny, barely noticeable date and times that display in the corner of the screen, “Yeah definitely… But we were in Seoul that day. Are you saying you think the tapes been tampered with?! How can Y/N be in two places at once? One of the security team must’ve edited—”
Jungkook zones out of the conversation, his racing heartbeat is deafening as the realisation hits him like a tonne of bricks – the video hasn’t been edited, but that’s not you in his building either. No, the truth is far worse than that. He pushes his hair back in a hurry, audibly exhaling, you’re going to be devastated.
“It’s not edited.” Kook’s voice is deep, he presses play on the remote, cursing himself for not noticing this sooner,
“Jungkook the date has to have been edited, that’s Y/N!”
“No, it’s not.”

august
pairing: sheriff lee bodecker x younger! reader
warnings: cheating, age gap
a/n: i wanted to write this chapter to show how y/n’s and lee’s affair began and to show how y/n shaped lee or his point of view. this song is mostly based off august from taylor swift (bc we all know at this point that i’ll just write fanfics based of any folklore/evermore songs) and war of hearts from ruelle. this one is not smut, the next one (illicit affairs) is gonna be.  additionally, i’ve come to the conclusion that knockemstiff y/n dressed like betty draper and after-knockemstiff y/n dresses likes meg draper and that is canon. btw if you’re interested in what she’s wearing in this chapter here [x] p.s.: lee’s not captain yet in this chapter
> ILLICIT AFFAIRS
Tumblr media
Salt air and the rust on your door, I never needed anything more. Whispers of are you sure? Never have I ever before. But I can see us lost in the memory, August slipped away into a moment in time ‘cause it was never mine
August was an odd month this year; the godless and sunless town was going through the biggest heatwave anyone could remember. Most habitants were in the parks and outside their homes in plastic chairs enjoying the heat, however, in Y/N’s house, they were baking apple pies with the apples leftover from the little apple tree farm they had a bit south from the town centre. Y/N had suggested they just gave away the apples but her grandmother, ever the traditional woman, believed the best way to show appreciation would be to bake something. “It shows you care, Y/N” as if she cared about anyone in this god forbidden town. She couldn’t wait to pack her bags and go to the big city where she can be something other than a trophy wife. Besides, it wasn’t like there were any available suitable husband options around.
She wiped the flour out of her forehead as she placed the last pie in the oven. 24 pies, surely that would account for a high electricity bill at the end of the month. Not that it mattered anyway, her grandmother could more than afford it after all she was the woman right now sat at the kitchen table, giving out plates as if they cost nothing.
     - Y/N, sweetheart, can you go and deliver the pie on the living room. It’s already cold and I don’t want it to go stale.
     - Yeah, sure.
     - To Captain Bodecker’s house. Promised Jane I’d send her one.
     - Captain Bodecker’s? But that’s in town. - she scratched her elbows. She’d rather not go to Captain Bodecker’s house yet again he probably wasn’t even around, always busy in the station. - Can I take the car?
     - It’s a 20 minute walk, it’s sunny outside and you’re young. Save on gas.
     - But ...
     - Y/N, you better be outside with that pie in 5 seconds or we’ll have a problem. - she interrupted.
Y/N sighed, unlacing the back of her apron and placing it on the hook. Just great, that’s all she needed today, to walk to the town centre to deliver one of the pies she had just spent the whole morning preparing. She guessed it could’ve been worse, she could’ve had to go deliver it to the police station then Captain Bodecker would’ve definitely been there. It wasn’t that she disliked him, quite the opposite. Back when she volunteered at the precinct he was the only one who was nice to her or at least the only one who wouldn’t try to put his hand under her skirt. He’d even memorised her name which not even the Sheriff who had hired her knew, to this day whenever he saw her he still called her Bella. He was nice to her and she couldn’t say she hadn’t developed a little school girl crush on him, despite the fact he was married. He’d even stood up for her when her manager started screaming at her. Nevertheless, she couldn’t stand being in his presence, feeling like whatever she said would get her in trouble. His wife wasn’t someone she enjoyed either; Jane Bodecker was known for having quite the sharp gossiping tongue. Most of her friends commented their “men friends” would comment how she used to have quite the reputation while at high school and whenever she saw her at the shop, she’d always call her Little Miss Perfect or make some side comment about how she was occupying a job that someone else needed. Still, Y/N could deal with Jane, a little smile, a nod and she was ready to deal with the devil.
The sun scorched her skin as she walked her last minutes til the Bodecker residence. It was a nice home, recently painted with some nice flowers in the front garden yet there were rumours of Captain Bodecker wanting to move to Brewer Heights. Y/N didn’t know how she’d react if during her morning walks she passed by him, so she counted it only as rumours. Standing in front of the red door, she held the pie in one hand and knocked against it with the other one. She stood there waiting for someone to come in until footsteps made her wake up from her dream-like state and prepare to deal with Jane. However, as the door open, a familiar silhouette had her heart racing.
    - Y/N, what brings you here? - she watched him dressed in casual clothing, something she barely saw if she had ever seen; jeans and a white t-shirt.
   - Captain Bodecker ... I ... I was looking for your wife. My grandmother sent this. - she held up the pie in front of her.  - She said Mrs. Bodecker wanted one.
   - Jane’s ... out. Come in. - he opened the door wider for her but she remained in the same place like a statue. - Come on, it’s too hot out. Don’t want no fainting lass complains on my day off. ‘Sides, don’t you want a slice of pie?
   - I really shouldn’t.
   - You can say no if you want to. No need to be afraid of me, Y/N. - he leaned against the doorframe. - Thank you for the pie, though.
   - I guess I can stay a bit. - she tucked a bit of hair behind her ear. Lee couldn’t help but shamelessly check her out as she walked inside his home. It was no secret she was a beautiful woman, heck, Lee thought her to be the prettiest little thing to ever arrive into town, with her sunny smile and pretty dresses. This one was no different, lavender which complimented her so well with a little white rope tied around her waist into a bow, like a little present. Nevertheless, he kept it under wraps he was a married man besides every man in town shamelessly harassed her, despite the side eye he gave them.
He watched as the fabric of her dress swung with the movement of her hips. Lee surely didn’t expect such a pretty girl to walk into his home, had he known he would’ve made an effort to fix the mess that was his house. Normally Jane tended to keep that sorted as he usually spent the day and night at work, but with her staying with her mother after their last fight. It wasn’t anything new, she always did that whenever they fought and then would return after Lee made a fool of himself by begging her to return and that he was wrong during the fight. Still, she placed the pie on his kitchen table with a gentleness and posture which mirrored her privileged upbringing. He couldn’t lie and say his mind hadn’t wandered around how she would look when she eventually got married, after all that was the future of all Knockemstiff women. He also couldn’t lie and say he hadn’t wondered how she would look as his wife. She was sweet, with a sharp mind which definitely had not been appreciated in the precinct. Despite this, productivity seemed to raise whenever she called out any officers who had their feet on top of their desks instead of doing paperwork. He still remembered having to always keep an eye on her, were any officers to get too rowdy with her. Yet, she didn’t care and she held herself and believed herself to deserve the same respect as every working man in Knockemstiff. Although he imagined how she would be as a wife, he had to admit he couldn’t see her ever being some Knockemstiff’s man’s wife and with the example from her grandmother, she was surely on the path to be a rebellion starter.
    - Big fan of apple pie, Y/N?
    - My grandmother refuses to sell the apples so instead I woke up at 6AM and have been baking apple pies nonstop. She says it shows I care.
     - Never thought you to be found of Knockemstiff residents.
     - And I am not. - she spoke as if the mere thought of it offended her.  - She said she promised Jane one.
     - Don’t think Jane will be back for a while. - he leaned against the kitchen door, watching her place the pie onto his kitchen table. - You can take half that pie, if you want.
    - Trust me, I have my share of apple pie at home. - she folded her hands on top of her stomach. - Uhm ... Do you want me to cut you a slice of pie? I normally take mine with a bit of vanilla ice cream on top. It’s gorgeous, the warmth of the pie and the cold of the ice cream. You should try it?
    - You’re just full of ideas, aren’t ya? - he sat on the wooden chair as she sliced the pie to the best of her abilities. - Shouldn’t you be at university, or someth’ng?
    - Well, grandma had the stroke and she’s not as motile as she used to be. I’ve been taking some classes at Ohio University but it’s not the same, it’s ...
    - It’s not the big city, ain’t it? - he added.
    - It’s not that I dislike Knockemstiff, Captain ...
    - Yeah you do. - he interrupted her. - Just don’t let the Sheriff hear it. He already ain’t too found of ya.
    - Nobody in that precinct liked me. - she rolled her eyes. - Well, they did but I did not like them in that way.
    - I liked ya. Whenever you screamed at Leroy it always made my day.
    - Leroy’s the most incompetent person I know. All he does is pimp girls out as if he discovered prostitution. I feel sorry for the girls.
    - He does a good service.
    - Of course you’d know. - she pushed her hair away from her shoulders, feeling the sweat roll down her neck. God it was, too hot. Lee furrowed his brown, laying the fork onto the porcelain plate. She caught his look, brow raising over in a playful, smug kind of way, before she laid her hands on the table. - I’ve seen it before.
     - You’ve seen it before?
     - Don’t worry, I didn’t see IT, but I saw Jenny get in the car with you just after graduation. I know what she does, she would call me all the time whenever Leroy was being an ass.
     - Oh ...
     - Don’t worry, I’m not gonna say anything. Everyone in this town cheats, mostly because everyone in this town marries someone just because they think that will save them from Hell. No one is saved if they’re born in Knockemstiff, not even me.
     - You mean to tell me you’ve done bad things, Y/N? ‘Cause I don’t believe it.
     - I’ve never done it but I’ve thought bad things. All the time. - her gaze lowered from his face to his waist before returning back to his eyes. It was a millisecond gaze, something she herself knew but he didn’t notice, no matter how observant he was. There were no perfect men in Knockemstiff, but in Y/N’s mind he was her perfect man. After all, there are no perfect men anywhere, even Saints sin and then die heroically to get into heaven. Y/N would rather sin than die for people who would’ve had her accidentally killed many times if it weren’t for her grandmother’s name and status in town. What’s the fun in being good? Every time she was good she got yelled at, someone put her hand under her skirt or tried to pin her against a wall. She was good, she would just rather sin so people wouldn’t taint her goodness. It’s a question of self preservation, at least that’s what she told herself.
    - That doesn’t make you bad. If so there wouldn’t be good people.
    - There are no good people. - she added, ever the negative person she was, something she had inherited from her mother and which everyone who knew her could trace back to. - All people are born so they could be buried. Everything you do ... in a 100 years they won’t remember everything and all that be left of you is your burial site. That’s your legacy.
    - Such negative views for someone who wants out of Knockemstiff. I thought you’d have a better outlook on things.
    - I’m never getting out of here. - she sighed, almost used to the idea that she was going to stay no matter how long she fought it. - I’m gonna die here.
    - Dying ain’t so bad. - he leaned against his chair. Y/N smiled at him, looking around his home. It was messy yes but it was still a good home yet that wasn’t what she noticed. Looking out the window, she saw a built in pool. She didn’t remember hearing the Captain had a pool. Sure, he had a the better salary compared to everyone else in town except for the Sheriff, Mayor, and her grandmother. Yet she had never heard of him having a pool, not even she had one.
    - You have a pool?
    - Yeah, built it back when Sandy used to come over to wind up from the dinner job. She’s married now so I don’t think she wants a pool at her big brother’s home anymore.
   - I don’t think anyone in town has a pool. - she rose from her chair and walked to the window in a lavender rush. - It’s gorgeous.
   - You can come over whenever you want, Y/N.
   - Can I go now? - she looked over her shoulder to him. The idea of being able to swim while the boiling august heat continued to shine down onto the hellish town. Somehow it made sense yet it didn’t. Lee cocked his head to the side, wondering if he’d misheard her words or if she was really considering swimming into his pool. Unwanted feeling stirred south of him and he punished himself mentally for imagining the lavender flower girl in such ways.
    - Well, uh ... you don’t have a swimming costume. - he babbled like a confused, stunned child.
    - I can swim on my undergarments. It’s pretty much a lace embroidered swimming costume. - Lee merely nodded, not knowing exactly what to do but knowing he was flirting with sin, looking at an abysses and seeming not to fear that he was going straight into it.
Y/N walked from the window up to the kitchen door which led over to the garden. The once white door had withered with time, turning slightly yellowish with rust on the borders, the glass of the small see through windows cracked yet remaining its shape. The door seemed to be a small reminder of what was still wrong in the Captain’s life but she chose not to dwell over it, no to think about it. She felt the cobblestones against her feet covered by an old pair of white ballerina slips as her mirrored image became clear in the crystalline pool water.
Lee on the other hand watched like a hawk, from the rusted door he’d broken so many bottles of liquor against, as her lavender fabric fell to the dirty cobblestones. The contrast of the prim expensive dress against the cobblestones which had aged as badly as he had done was telling. At least it was telling enough for him and he wondered if this was a gift from God or if the devil was toying with him. The devil is in the details, his mother used to say, yet as she emerged from the water, hands pulling down her hair, he was almost entirely sure the devil was the girl in his pool, the same girl who had worn white dresses until her 18th birthday. Yet again, the devil was once an angel and to him, she was closer to becoming a fallen one than continuing to wear shades of white.
    - You don’t swim, captain? - she asked as she swam to the border of the pool.
    - I don’t enjoy doing it. - he stayed glued to the door, a good distance from her to ensure he didn’t get tempted. - You gonna just swim around like a mermaid, huh?
    - It’s better in the water than on the cobblestones, I tell ya. - she dipped into the water once again only to return to the surface, water droplets rolling down from her plump skin. - Come on, captain. You’re gonna leave me swimming by my lonesome? During the hottest day in Knockemstiff?
    - You’re a trouble stirrer.
    - Maybe I’m just bored. - she smiled at him. He knew she wasn’t tempting him, he knew Y/N. She liked to tease around, she enjoyed the freedoms which she imposed onto herself and as such she was much different from the women he knew. Not that he knew any women outside of Knockemstiff. He’d been born and raised here and all the women he saw from out of Knockemstiff were on his television screen. - Come on, Captain. It’s your pool.
    - I don’t want you to see my belly.
   - I don’t care, besides, if it’s that bad then come into your clothing. - her arms rested upon the pool border, wondering eyes tempting even the saint of all saints. Lee looked at the cold water reflecting the afternoon sunlight beams, trying to avoid the thoughts that crossed his mind before turning around. He let his jean trousers pool to the ground along with his shoes before entering the water using the ladder. He was almost sure he’d make her laugh if he were to jump into the water.
The water was cold and dripped from his skin in crystal like drops. Y/N offered him a playful smile, swimming close to him with that wide eye child naughty fun look only she managed to still hold intact. She held her hands slightly back before pushing the water towards him.
    - You tellin’ me you invited me in for a water fight? - he chuckled at her actions.
    - Afraid I’ll win?
    - Kid, you’re much too tiny to win against me.
    - Wanna bet? - she threw water again at him, swimming closer and closer to him before anchoring herself against him, hands on his shoulders. - I bet you as many apple pies as you want.
    - Yeah, I’m trying not to gain any more weight, kid.
    - You have beautiful eyes, I’ve never noticed. - she made eye contact with him, seeing her own reflection in his light blue eyes. Maybe she’d never notice because the uniform was so dark blue his eyes reflected it like mirrors, yet they were light. - They’re gorgeous.
    - Trying to make me blush, kid?
    - Just never noticed.
    - Well huh ... - he could listen to his heart beating and drumming against his chest along with the soft movement of the water. All his eyes could see was her, her hands holding onto his shoulders and her angelic face looking at him. - Thanks, you have nice eyes too.
    - You can’t take a compliment, Captain. - she teased.
    - I don’t think I’m deserving of any, specially coming from you, kid.
    - What is that supposed to mean?
    - You know what the men say in town. They think you’re the prettiest thing in a skirt to ever pace around here. Pretty sure they’ll kill each other trying to get your favour.
    - My favour? Is that what you think I’m good for?
    - No ... I ... That’s not what I meant. - his face creased. - I’m just telling you what I hear.
    - You seem to know a lot of gossip about me, captain. If I didn’t know better, I’d think you’ve been asking around.
    - What if I have? - Lee watched for the first time her mouth shut close. She didn’t know what to say next, eyebrows furrowed together as she inspected his face, slow blinking. Her eyes left his to look at the water back at him. - Just looking out for you ... not a lot of people like you ‘round town.
He hands gripped his shoulder as she swam closer to him. Her intention was to hug him thank you. Of course she didn’t expect no one to look out for her, she didn’t care about what a bunch of housewives and hopeless alcoholics thought of her. She knew he didn’t inspire adoration in them other. As she got closed to him, he leaned down, capturing her lips into his. Her hands slide from her shoulders to his chest, almost as if she wanted to be the good one and push him away. He was married after all. However, as his lips moved against hers she found herself incapable of pushing him away, hands relaxing just resting against his chest as she found herself acting on her sinful thoughts for the first time.
So much for summer love, for saying us, ‘cause you weren’t mine to lose.

yandere!ateez fanboy series: seonghwa
When Seonghwa graduated high school, his parents asked him what he wanted as a graduation gift. Coming from a wealthy family, his parents could give him whatever he wanted. But he asked for a camera instead. His parents didn’t know why or what was a camera for, but they gave it to him without a doubt.
And lo and behold, in Seonghwa’s hands, a Canon EOS 850D.
He open his box of savings and bought more equipment such as lenses, speedlite, battery grip and ring mount adapter. Testing a couple of shots around his room, the flowers in his mother’s garden and the collection of his father’s wines before he was satisfied with his photos and he was set to set himself out.
The night before Starlight’s debut, he opened his own website YNbyHwaLight.co.kr and made a profile tab for you provided by your company - VS Media. Ever since your reveal to the world that you are debuting in Starlight as the final member, Seonghwa couldn’t get his eyes off of you. He couldn’t wait for your debut as he camped on Youtube and Naver everyday by watching past videos of you - Introduction Video, Make Meringue Cookies with Y/N and your own choreography of Streets by Doja Cat. To which he proudly beat his cock every night to.
When the sun came up the following day, Seonghwa adjusted his black face mask to perfectly conceal half of his face. He woke an all black clothing and had his equipment safely tucked inside his backpack. When he was done, he set off to the concert hall for your debut concert.
Starlight kicks off 2021 US promotions
Starlight’s Y/N tops January Brand Rankings
Starlight’s Y/N hailed as No.1 Kpop Girl Group Member For 2021
Jennie, Joy, Y/N and more: Korean Outlet Media Mentions Stars Who Sported Top Luxury Clothes For 2020
Starlight’s Y/N Glowing As New Campaign Model For Nike Air Max
Seonghwa chugged down the last of his coffee before throwing it in the bin. His third cup of coffee to be exact. 4:06 am he is still situated in his old study desk, editing your photos from yesterday’s joint concert. Adding his fansite name ‘HwaLight_Y/N’ before uploading them.
After he graduated high school, he decluttered old items that he no longer needed and are now replaced with more equipment and the albums that Starlight released. On his walls that were once adorned with his favorite rock band posters, baseball banners and his high school basketball jersey were now replaced with your individual posters. His bookshelves before were filled with his textbooks and comic books which he gushed over with his old friend. He doesn’t have friends anymore. Now, they are filled with Starlight’s albums that comes with all the different versions, the photobooks that VS Media released, the latest 2021 Seasons Greetings and his selfmade own copy of ‘ With Love, Y/N ‘ photobook which he sold over 100,000 copies. Unusual for a fansite photobook to reach its mark compared to companies.
Ever since the day Seonghwa stepped into the debut concert hall to see you, he made everyone turn their heads and stare at him. It was a fandom joke that Seonghwa made his own fangirls that day. Along the way, they would pluch up their courage and ask to go on a date with him, but Seonghwa would politely decline their offer. As he only has eyes for Y/N, who else?
After Staright debuted, the fandom continued to increase. It brought irritation to Seonghwa how he felt like he had many competitors to compete for your attention. But that theory was tried and tested when Starlight was at Incheon Airport headed to Jeju. The girls were posing for the hundreds of cameras in front of them, Seonghwa positioned somewhere in the middle.
Through his camera lens, he watched as Y/N stand in her tiptoes, looking through the crowd as if she was searching for someone. His blood began to boil on who could possibly stole your worthy attention that isn’t him. But he immediately soften when Y/N’s eyes landed on his camera, flashing a sweet smile before eagerly waving her hands at him.
Click! Click! Click! Click! Click! Click! Click! Click! Click! Click! Click!
His insides were instantly filled with warmth as Y/N had her eyes on his camera. Smiling cutely and making little hearts in his direction. From that day on, Seonghwa submitted himself to you wholeheartedly. The best part? Seonghwa is also a passenger with you to Jeju! Surely seeing Seonghwa before the gates is not the last time you’d see him. As he boarded the plane, he sat down on the seat two rows in front of you. Heart beating fast at the feeling.
The hour flight to Jeju quickly came by and they all boarded down. Seonghwa noticed how you and the rest of the members took the back door. Two black vans parked at the back door rather than being parked at the main extrance and exit. Lifting the car he rented to place his equipment and backpack safely at the back before following the second van where you are. Heading to the same hotel your manager booked because that’s where he booked himself too.
Sometime later after checking in to the hotel and fixing his camera, he listened to the footsteps of VS staffs and any Starlight member heading to the elevator and disappearing. Once the coast is clear, he left his room and welcomed himself to Room 1117 - the room you share with the leader of Starlight.
With his camera in hand, he went over to the second bed as he noticed your luggage was placed on top of it. Slowly, he bent down and inhaled the mattress and cushion. Faint scent of apples and honey. Laying down on the spot whereyou layed down earlier, a soft sigh escapes his lips before turning his attention to your luggage.
Slowly, he unzips it open and then turning it open. The first thing his eyes lands on is the red lingerie that was placed on top as if it was welcoming him. Slowly he took hold of your bra, touching and feeling the cups. Were your boobs always this big? Blood rushed into him as he brought the cups to his nose, inhaling the scent of your raw flesh. Seonghwa sets the bra down before lifting the underwear next. He closely examined the lacy underwear, grazing his fingertips before slowly bringing it to his face. Were underwears supposed to smell sweet? This was an unexplainable one before something clicked in his mind.
You could have worn it.
He brought your underwear more closer to his face while his free hand unzips his pants, freeing his cock and then beating it around his hand, imagining it was your sweet tight hole instead. Shamelessly, he came.
Pocketing your underwear, he quickly set his plan. He placed small cameras inside the electricity extensions in the room and bathroom and on the lamp stands before exiting. Leaving in time before a VS staff came into the same floor they are at. Once he gets back in his hotel room, he took out your underwear in his pocket and decided to kill time by playing with this.
“See! I told you, you must have dropped your underwear under the bed.” Yikyung, the leader of Starlight said. I brought the underwear up and noticed how it had a huge white stain. I shook my head, probably a discharge before placing it on a plastic bag filled with my other used clothes.
“Also, Y/N please put some clothes on while you sleep! My eyes are burning everytime I see you walking around her naked!” Yikyung laughs before throwing a pillow at him. It became a habit of time to sleep and walk around the dorm naked. I felt comfortable around the other members and decided to slowly reveal my habits. As Yikyung and I cleaned up our room, I unplugged my phone from its charger. But the little red light is still beaming.
“Is it always like this?” I asked, pointing at the socket as I faced Yikyung.
“Well at least you know that this socket is working. C’mon, were already late. Manager Min is already expecting us.” She says, grabbing my hand as we ran out our room, ending our MV film shoot in Jeju.

I know u don’t take requests but on ur Instagram u posted Yaku loving hours cuz he likes girls with short hair. Today u mentioned Yandere Kuroo and it got me thinking. How would yandere Kuroo react to his darling cutting their hair out of spite? Like the main reason he loves her is because of the long silky hair but now it’s short and uneven.
- Jenny
Oh shit...JENNY HOW DID U FIND MY PAGE WHY WONT U GIVE ME UR TUMBLR @ WTF
(Jenny is on my sisters softball team and she’s in love with Haikyuu)
My mom got pissed when I cut my hair so I’m sure he’s fucking livid.
Yandere Kuroo with a fem darling who cuts their hair
Warnings: slapping i guess lol
He is honesty in disbelief. Like how did you find scissors ? You even left a trail for him to find as you sat in the bathtub with uneven cut hair.
“Are you fucking stupid? Why would you do that to your hair?!” He would yell. Your stupid smirk wasn’t helping but you weren’t expecting Kuroo to slap you and pull the remaining hair you have left. “If you wanna play mean? I’ll be mean.” He said and sat you on the counter. “What are you—“ your eyes widened when you saw his electric razor. “I’ll just shave it all off and I’ll buy you wigs, how about that?” He asked. “No i didn’t even cut it super short I’m sorry. Let me fix it with a trim.” You apologized but he already began shaving your head. You could only sob and try to trash around.
The next day he came home with different long haired wigs in different colors. He liked how your natural hair looked, now he wanted to see it platinum blonde and he actually enjoyed it. You were now his living doll. He chooses your clothes, chooses your hair, your shoes, everything.
Maybe cutting you hair wasn’t so bad after all 🤔

Theon Fic Appreciation || Bingo Square: Share a fic that broke your heart
All of these Theonsa fics absolutely break my heart
Before The Old Gods Take Us by mrs-storm-andrews, @mrs-storm-andrews
A beautiful fic that imagines what Theon and Sansa must have talked about on their soup date. This is so heartbreaking because of what a sweet ordinary conversation Sansa and Theon have about their memories growing up at Winterfell on maybe their last night together.
cold as dawn by Kingmaking
This fic is masterful in the exploration of everything that remained unsaid and unacted upon between Theon and Sansa. The parts that hurt the most about it were all the times that Sansa could not allow herself to do things in regards to Theon- to embrace him once more before the battle, to look on his dead body afterwards, to say she loved him before he slipped beneath the waves at his buriel. I loved that she brought him to the Iron Islands so that he could have the funeral he deserved. A truly measured and beautiful fic about mourning. It tore my heart out.
colder winters by intradical
Another fic where Sansa brings Theon to the Iron Islands to be given an Ironborn burial. The most heartbreaking thing about this fic is her memories of Theon- and the fantasy she weaves while she tries to fall asleep on the night of his funeral. And I love the motif of dreams, memory, and ghosts and how they all blend seamlessly (and painfully) together.
Five times Theon couldn’t say “I love you” and one time he could by Unreal_Kitty, @waking-electric
I think the one that hurt me the most in this one was Theon being unable to tell Ned he loved him and all the complex reasons why as well as his complicated grief and relief after he died. But all the people he couldn’t say I love you to are just as beautifully painful- Alannys, Robb, Yara, and Bran. Until, Sansa. But of course that is just as painful given what happened. Ughhh! I love how this fic hurt me!
I Will Follow You Into The Dark by blahblahblah97
Love, love, love this beautiful fic that describes Sansa and Theon’s last evening together in show canon. I love that she tells him how Ramsay died. I loved the motifs of dancing and ghosts throughout that culminated in Sansa and Theon dancing to the sound of Pod singing Jenny of Oldstones. Seriously, that just about killed me.
i will tell your mother how you saved my life, i will tell her you were a hero by hcrlaws, @pctrochlus
A fix it fic where Alannys and the Harlaws come to Kings Landing with Yara during the Season Finale. Sansa meets Alannys Harlaw and gives her Theon’s bow. There are so many beautiful, beautiful moments in this and all of them just tore my heart out.
Shadows of Winterfell by mrs-storm-andrews (no_fucking_idea_for_a_name), @mrs-storm-andrews
The angst of this one! It is a brief glimpse into a longer AU where Theon and Sansa find themselves on opposite sides after Theon has returned to Yara. But just this first chapter is enough to fully break my heart. If it is ever continued, I will be first in line to be wrecked by it!
sinking through the sand by gingersprite, @gingersprites
This is a beautiful fix it fic where Theon and Sansa travel to Harlaw and Theon is reunites with Alannys. Balon had told him she was dead. It is so beautiful and gratifying. But the truly heartbreaking thing about this fic was all the years they had lost because of Theon being a hostage. I loved the world building about House Harlaw. This is an incredible fic!
The Sword-bearer’s Daughter by Unreal_Kitty, @waking-electric
This fic wrecked me with the exploration of Theon’s fear as a child when he found out exactly what being a hostage really meant. He tries to run away and is convinced not to by Sansa. The fic then flashes forward to running away from Ramsay with Sansa. The fact that he is still thinking of Ned while escaping with Sansa is complex and heartbreaking. And the last lines just about killed me.

Good evening, everyone! I bring you mur. MURDER. That’s right, have a very R-rated short story for you all. I’ve never written anything quite like this before, but I’ve been listening to a lot of true crime podcasts and in the spirit of spooky-season I wanted to write something about the scariest creatures of all: humans. I will tag everyone that seemed interested in my original post about it at the end, but PLEASE read the warnings before you decide to read further.
Content Warning(s): Language, Violence, Blood, and graphic depictions of murder.
Stupid fucking April.
The day I married her, I’d  promised to love her through richer and poorer, sickness and health. I vowed  to provide for her, to keep a roof over her head, and food in her belly. And how did she repay me? By not ironing my fucking pants.
Her life wasn’t that hard. She had to take care of the house and make sure the kids didn’t kill themselves.
And she couldn’t even be bothered to iron my fucking slacks.
“Where are we going?” Jaime, or Jenny, or Jessica asked. She reeked of stale cigarettes and dollar store vanilla body spray. “We’re, like, out of town. I thought you said we were going to get fucked up.”
I clenched my fingers around the steering wheel so hard they ached. Jenna didn’t need more meth. She needed to stop asking questions. “Do you want this shit or not?”
“Well, yeah.”
“Then, shut the hell up and stop asking questions.”
She scoffed and sat up a little straighter in her seat. Her bony arms held over her front to ward her off from the chill of the air conditioner. She watched as we passed below a giant sycamore, a gangly branch draped with Spanish moss stretched over the rutted goat-path that led to the cabin. “It’s kind of creepy out here. You’re not going to murder me out here, right?”
I smiled in spite of myself. “Yeah, it’s pretty creepy.”
I pulled the truck up in front of the leaning cabin. It had been in my family for generations. My grandfather had brought my father here when he was a boy. My dad used to tell me stories about how he and his old man would spend weekends during the summer catching catfish in the swamp and hunting squirrels that jumped from the boughs of the red maple trees.
By the time I was old enough to go to camp, the cabin’s roof had caved in and my dad hadn’t had the money to fix it. The inclimate weather had rotted the floorboards, and a family of raccoons had made themselves at home in the walls.
As nice as it would be to restore the shack to its former glory, I didn’t go to camp for the cabin, anyway. All of my business was done in the barn.
“What the fuck. Do you live here?” Jasmine asked as she squinted through the darkness.
I sighed. “Didn’t I tell you to shut the hell up?”
“Yeah. Sorry.”
I turned on my flashlight to see the overgrown path that led back to the crooked barn. Getting struck by a cottonmouth would put a damper on my evening plans.
I pushed the barn door open, gestured for Jeanine to enter, and followed behind her.
There was no electric in the rickety old barn, but the propane lanterns I had did the job just fine. I needed just enough light to see. I could feel the pulse of anticipation thrumming through my body. I had to fight to keep my hands steady as I hung the last lantern on its rusty nail.
Jill stood in the middle of the barn, shivering in her stained tank top. “It’s cold.”
I couldn’t feel a chill in the air, but that didn’t mean much. I was starting to sweat beneath my thrift store threads. “I’ll light the woodstove.”
I lit the woodstove and let Jenny try to warm herself by it in favor of inspecting my workbench. It was just as I’d left it about a year ago. All of my tools were in their assigned spots. I hovered my fingers above them: pliers, saw, bolt cutters.
I picked up the hunting knife and ran my thumb along the blade. It had been dulled by use and time. The steel winked in the orange lamplight. It reminded me of the time my dad had given me my first pocket knife.
“Remember, son,” he said seriously as he held the folded pocket knife between his thumb and forefinger, “a dull knife is more dangerous than a sharp one.”
At the time, I hadn’t cared. I had only wanted to take my knife and whittle sticks down to sharp points. Now that I was older, I understood what he meant. A sharp knife left clean cuts. It did less damage to the tissues around the blade. Wounds caused by sharp knives were easier to heal than dull ones.
“Do you have the stuff or what?” Jeannine asked.
Again with the fucking questions. I held the knife down by my side. “Come here.”
She hesitated at the harshness of my tone.
It was too late for sensibility. She should have thought about before she’d gotten into my truck.
“Get your ass over here!”
One step.
April should have iron my fucking slacks.
Two steps.
If my slacks hadn’t been wrinkled Leslie Wilford wouldn’t have looked at me like that. Like I was a rat that had scurried from the gutter.
Three.
This dumb bitch, Julia, Josephine, Jane--what ever the fuck her name was--should have never gotten in my truck.
Four.
And I couldn’t stand the stink of her cloying vanilla perfume.
Fury had blood roaring in my ears. The hunting knife shook in my hand. When Juliet was close enough to reach, I grabbed her with my left arm to hold her steady and jammed the blade into her gut, below her sternum. It took a little more force than I anticipated. The first cut always took me by surprise.
Her expression went from cautious to stunned. Her eyes widened, her bony fingers wrapped around my wrist. She tried to pry my hand free, but years of sacrificing her meals for drugs had left her weak.
I pushed harder. The blade scraped against bone.
A sound pulled its way from her lungs, in a nearly-sensual moan.
I yanked the knife free.
Blood bloomed on the front of her tank top, dark and spreading. It looked like one of those tests psychiatrist gave their crazy patients. What does this look like to you?
It looked like release.
I stabbed her again.
Her body lurched with the force of the impact. She staggered back a step or two.
I yanked it free and thrust the knife back into her body. The handle was slick with blood, warm and wet against my palm.
Her knees gave out and I let her fall to the floor.
I knelt down over her, knees pinning her arms to the cool dirt below.
She opened her mouth, a trickle of crimson ran from the corner, staining her pale skin like ink. She tried to speak, couldn’t, closed her mouth, and then opened it again. She looked like a fish that had just been yanked from the stream. “Please,” she gurgled, “stop.” It was such a feeble sound. So frail. So tragic.
I reached up and pressed my thumb to her cheek. It left a bloody smear behind. I leaned down so I knew she could hear me when I murmured, “No.”
As I felt her blood sticking to my hands, a primal force overcame me. It had tasted blood and wouldn’t be sated until the life had fully drained from her eyes.
I stabbed her again, and again, and again. Blood splattered my face, hot and wet. I could taste the copper of it on my lips.
Well after she took her last breath, I pulled the knife free for a final time and dropped my aching arms to my sides. While I caught my breath I took a few moments to bask in my adrenaline-laced euphoric high.
Humans were bound to this lifeless rock, doomed to work nine-to-five jobs they hated until their very essence ran dry. Killing was the only thing that made me feel alive.
                                                 ###
Dawn was just breaking by the time I pulled into my driveway, exhausted and sated. I got out of the truck, balancing a box of muffins and coffee while I tried to work up the energy to pretend like I hadn’t spent all night dismembering and spreading a corpse through the swamp.
“Good morning, Rob!”
“Good morning, Luanne,” I greeted.
“What are you out doing so early this morning?” She asked, her schnauzer sniffing around her plushy pink slippers.
Luanne was a sweet lady, but I really fucking hated it when people asked me too many questions. “Oh, I just wanted to get April and the kiddos something special for breakfast.” I held up the box of muffins as if it explained everything. “Would you like a muffin?”
“Aw, you’re so sweet.” She waved me a way with an arthritic hand, “I can’t. I don’t want to mess up my sugar too much. Have a nice day, Rob!”
“Take care.” I smiled until I watched her take her dog inside. Then, I went up the steps to my own front door. I mentally prepared myself to greet my family. I was going to have to be my best self for them and for the students at Van Buren Academy.
After all, their vice principal needed to look his best.
And I would.
As long as April remembered to iron my fucking slacks.

Could you do a blue Pegasus college au? I’ve been thinking about it a lot I kinda wanna know what you think their careers would be
hiiii! i know this ask took me ten months to get to but i did have an answer all lined up. i never wrote it up, apparently, but i did have a lot of fun answering it!! it's a wonderful question and i hope you send me more like this in the future - it wont take as long next time, i promise!
well, jenny is a model in canon. she's beautiful and adores aesthetic and looks. i think she'd likely enroll on a hair and beauty course - being able to work in the cosmetic industry would be a dream come true! she'd work as a waitress in the college café in her spare time, to work up a little cash for bits and bobs of perfume and new makeup supplies, although she does save most of her jewels for rent and food. she's an impulse buyer but she's spent long enough in lessons learning to budget that she at least tries to be sensible with money...
eve likes horticulture, plants, biology. he'd go for a botany course, and plans on going into the industry later on - he's not really got a plan, though, and has plenty of interests, so he may change his mind later on. he still doesnt really know what he wants his career to be. he wants to learn to grow his own vegetables ("mama always said homegrown is better") and maybe, just maybe, wants to be able to graft fruit trees. he's always bundled up warm for college and works part-time in retail, as most students do. he doesn't need the money so much - he got a full-paid scholarship - but he wants the experience, just in case he wants to go into business later on, instead of science.
ren is on a short course, a year long, and he's only in for three days a week. he does interior design, or something similar, and he has a wonderful eye. he spends a lot of time in the Sims, redesigning houses and the like. he stays quiet a lot but he really likes helping out with fashion tips. occasionally he does commission work to help new artists on their backgrounds, but most his income comes from the college itself, where he manages the finances of several clubs (and gets paid a pretty penny for it). he thinks he might do another course, after, art and design perhaps. even though he's already enrolled, he still doesnt really know what he wants to do at college. he doesnt want to grow up - just stay in the house he and the other trimens rent
hibiki is doing some form of computer science. hes excellent at it, of course, wonderful with research papers and reports. he has a very good mind for facts and figures, see, and of course Archive helps a lot. he does the odd modelling work for student papers, and has a job as a journalist so he can pay for rent. he struggles with some aspects of his course, but he's really trying his best - coding isn't easy. he's good with computers and is always fixing the library wifi after it goes down again. someone, let's call him laxus, keeps surging the power and shutting down all the electrical utilities, so they usually get hibiki to fix the problems
i know this is long, and i know it may not even be what you were looking for, but i hope you're not too disappointed. what do you think, my dear? do you like my hcs? put yours in the notes and I'll be sure to take a look!

Page 4: Sparks are flying between Sandra Bullock and Brad Pitt on the set of their new action movie Bullet Train and not just when the cameras are rolling -- their chemistry is through the roof and Sandra lights up whenever she's around Brad and some of the cast and crew could swear they've seen him blushing in her presence -- Brad and Sandra have been hanging out more than your typical costars and they have a lot in common and seem to really enjoy each other's company and they'll frequently spend their breaks socializing and they can often be heard laughing over each other's stories and topics of conversations range from mutual friends and house repairs to more personal stuff, like kids
Page 6: Bruce Willis turned 66 on March 19 and as he celebrates the occasion, he has been reflecting on his life and it's been quite the journey but Bruce looks back at it all with that classic smirk
Page 7: Producers of the Gossip Girl reboot have been begging Blake Lively to join the cast of the new show but she's turned up her nose at the idea -- she's not ungrateful, because the original show made her star, but she closed the book on that part of her life a long time ago -- she's blissfully content in her role as a mom to daughters James, Inez and Betty whom she shares with her husband Ryan Reynolds and being a stay-at-home parent and filming an occasional movie sounds way more appealing to her than returning to that hothouse Gossip Girl universe -- she says she had her show and wants the new team to have theirs, but to die-hard fans, it still feels like a major snub
* After calling it quits on her romance with Ben Affleck in January, Ana de Armas is ready to play the field and Hollywood's heartthrob du jour, Rege-Jean Page has caught her eye and she was over the moon when the Bridgerton hunk recently signed on to her new thriller The Gray, which also stars Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans -- of course, Rege is gorgeous, but Ana also likes that he isn't your typical Tinseltown success story and comes from a rich cultural background, just like she does and she's hoping to get to know him better once they start shooting in L.A. -- while Ana has been warned that won't sit well with Rege's live-in girlfriend, Emily Brown, that doesn't seem to bother Ana
* Janet Jackson's life story is set to get the full documentary treatment next year, and no stone will be left unturned when it comes to her famously dysfunctional family -- the family is freaking out, as well they should be -- Janet will be brutally honest about her late father Joe Jackson, who bullied her and made her feel like she was nothing with out him but her siblings say they had it much worse especially when it came to Michael Jackson, who suffered verbal and physical abuse from Joe throughout his childhood -- Janet, who became a mom at 50 with her businessman ex, Wissam Al Mana, is also ready to tell all about their divorce and custody battle -- doing this documentary has been incredibly cathartic for her and she can't wait to shed light on her family's deep, dark secrets
Page 8: Angelina Jolie has been legally single for two years, and now she's finally ready to mingle -- she's been laying low since her 2016 split from Brad Pitt and she's feels it's time to get out there and she's eager to meet some new and interesting men and the mom of six is open to being hooked up by Hollywood pals like Ellen Pompeo, whom she was seen dining with in Beverly Hills and Angie likes the idea of dating a fellow A-lister who can relate to her about living in the spotlight and Ellen's been helping out with suggestions -- Angie is even open to joining an elite dating service and now the hunt is on to find a suitable bunch of candidates -- she wants fun and adventure again and after months of just being Mom, dressing up, putting on some perfume and engaging in stimulating conversation sounds good to Angie
* It's only been six months since Drew Barrymore launched her chirpy daytime talk show, but behind the scenes, she's on the verge of a major meltdown -- the multitasking mom who shares daughters Olive and Frankie with ex-hubby Will Kopelman, has no idea that juggling work and family would be this hard and she's feeling pressure from every side -- she desperately wants to be there for the kids, but she's trying to make her show a hit, and with her production company, she has a million others things on her plate as well -- the stressed-out star has also been chowing down on junk food and drinking too much caffeine so she can't get more than a few hours of sleep a night -- Drew doesn't want to let anyone down, but if she doesn't dial it back, she's going to collapse from exhaustion
* Matthew Perry announced his engagement to his on-off girlfriend Molly Hurwitz in November, but he seems to be having second thoughts -- he's crazy in love, but he's scared of messing up a good thing by making things official and he also worries what kind of husband he'll make given his health woes and battles with addiction -- Molly has faith in Matthew, but she can see wedding planning is stressing him out, even more so now that the Friends reunion is set to start shooting and he's pushing himself to go through with it, but his doubts are gnawing away at him

Page 21: Alessandra Ambrosio caught up with a pal while walking dogs in L.A., David Harbour eating a treat while out and about in NYC, Daisy Ridley stopped by The Graham Norton Show in London
Page 22: Amelia Gray Hamlin and boyfriend Scott Disick caught some rays while vacationing in Miami, Katie Holmes and boyfriend Emilio Vitolo Jr. color-coordinated their gray-and-black outfits for a lunch date in NYC, Rebel Wilson taking a walk around the neighborhood in L.A.
Page 24: While on the set of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Rachel Brosnahan shielded herself with a see-through umbrella, a newly brunette Lady Gaga in a white suit as she left her hotel in Rome to film the upcoming Gucci biopic, The Masked Singer panelist Jenny McCarthy gave herself a last-minute touch-up before posing for some promo shots
Page 26: Inside My Home -- Chelsea Handler's sleek setup -- she is checking out of her longtime L.A. home
Page 28: In 2009, LeAnn Rimes made headlines when she was caught hooking up with her costar Eddie Cibrian while they were both married to other people and now, more than a decade later, she is opening up about that time in her life and spilling secrets that she's never shared before -- looking back, LeAnn thinks it's unfair that she got raked over the coals like that and the public shaming caused her to suffer panic attacks and all LeAnn did was fall in love -- of course, there are likely big regrets about the way everything happened, but she and Eddie never meant to hurt anyone and they just had this connection they couldn't walk away from and a few months after their romance was revealed LeAnn parted ways with then-husband Dean Sheremet and Eddie filed for divorce from Brandi Glanville and they wed in 2011 -- while LeAnn has been a great stepmom to Eddie's sons Mason and Jack, she'd love to have a child of her own someday and she and Eddie have tried and tried with no success and now that she's pushing 40, they know time is ticking and they could always go the surrogate route, and they just might do it if it doesn't happen naturally in the next few months
Page 29: Liam Hemsworth has been dating Gabriella Brooks for 15 months, and he's so smitten that he could put a ring on it any day now -- Liam's made it clear that he's ready to walk down the aisle again after calling it quits in longtime love Miley Cyrus in 2019 -- everyone is thrilled because Gabriella is so sweet and easygoing, which is just what Liam needs -- Gabriella has already gotten the stamp of approval from the Hemsworth clan, who had long been skeptical of Miley and when Liam brought Gabriella home, his parents thought, that's more like it -- now that Liam's settled in at his new $5 million spread on Byron Bay, all signs point to him popping the question because he's never been happier
* Shedding post-pregnancy weight is never easy but luckily Katy Perry has a secret weapon to help her get back in shape which is Orlando Bloom -- Katy had already dropped 35 pounds since giving birth to the couple's first child, Daisy Dove, thanks to her fitness-obsessed fiance and Orlando has her eating five small vegan meals a day and he follows the same diet to make it easier for her, and Orlando makes sure she hikes or swims at least five days a week and those are the type for fun activities where he can join her -- Orlando's also her biggest cheerleader: during their recent Hawaiian getaway, Katy was nervous because she felt she hadn't lost enough weight but Orlando told her she was one sexy momma and he really is her biggest supporter
* Despite the pandemic, Nicole Kidman's remained one of the busiest women in Hollywood, which is getting under her stuck-at-home husband's skin -- while Keith Urban was forced to cancel his concert tour last year, Nicole had a whirlwind 2020, shooting her miniseries Nine Perfect Strangers in Australia and her historical thriller The Northman in Northern Ireland back-to-back and it's been incredibly hard on Keith because it drives him crazy not being able to get out there on stage -- Nicole hates seeing him the dumps, but she's told him he's lucky to be able to spend so much time with their daughters Sunday and Faith -- with Nicole set to play comedy legend Lucille Ball in Being the Ricardos, which starts filming this spring, that can only put more stress on the marriage but Nicole has no plans to slow down, and she's not making any apologies
Page 30: Patrick Duffy and Linda Purl went from zero to 60 practically overnight, but their turbo-charged romance appears to be slowing down -- ever since Patrick and Linda reconnected last summer, the late-in-life lovebirds have been joined at the hip at Linda's Colorado home, where things have gotten too close for comfort because Patrick's a laid-back guy, but he hasn't had a moment to himself because Linda is always pushing him to get outdoors and do stuff with her and Patrick feels the need for more space and some along time -- spending every moment together and hanging on each other's every word was fun for a while, but they don't want to lose their independence and they realize they need to bring their relationship back down to earth if they actually want to go the distance
* After nearly five blissful years together, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari are still going strong, and it looks like a baby could be in their near future -- Sam recently sent tongues wagging when he revealed that he wants to take their relationship to the next step and be a young dad and Britney is totally on board because she has always wanted another child and now with Sam raring to go, she figures it's the perfect time -- growing her family would be a welcome distraction from Britney's bitter battle with her father Jamie Spears over her controversial conservatorship
* Love Bites -- Jenni "JWoww" Farley and Zack Carpinello engaged, Morena Baccarin and husband Ben McKenzie welcomed a son named Arthur, Nicolas Cage and Riko Shibata married
Page 32: Cover Story -- Palace in Crisis -- the Royal Family is in disarray following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's bombshell tell-all -- what really offended them was how much Harry and Meghan said they love Queen Elizabeth in one sentence and attacked the institution, everything she stands for and works for, in the next -- it's going to take a miracle for Harry to reconcile with his family after what he and Meghan revealed
Page 36: Celebrity Hall Passes -- stars reveal the Hollywood crushes their partners have granted as freebies -- Eric Decker gets Jessica Alba and his wife Jessie James Decker gets Post Malone
Page 37: Lisa Vanderpump gets George Clooney, Seth Rogen gets Charlize Theron while his wife Lauren Miller gets Brad Pitt, Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa both get Cynthia Bailey

Double Triple Bossy Deluxe (Fallout 3, First Sentinel AU)
“Wait. Wait, wait… the fry cook thing isn’t a joke?!”
About a month (and a bit) after Sarah’s moved into Rookie’s house and home in Megaton, her arrival marked by her just about dragging her own body through the gates to throw herself at their doorstep, Rookie’s pleased to be able to say that it’s been working out pretty well! Or, at least, as well as could be expected when none of this was planned in advance. Sarah’s still struggling to adapt to the otherwise mundane, small-town life that’s been summarily thrust upon her after… well, after the whole nearly died like seven times thing that Rookie doesn’t like to think about, and she’s not used to living in such a small space. Seriously, she nearly knocks herself blind every time she forgets she has to duck her head as she goes down the staircase. Still, they’re making do, figuring it out together… and since they’re, like, dating now, or whatever, Rookie’s happy that it’s all falling into place, even if it’s a little on the haphazard side.
But there’s still surprises to be had, and when Rookie manages to trade for some fresh meat and announces they’re gonna make Sarah one of their famous Vault burgers, she laughs right up until Rookie reveals they were a fry cook. No, for real.
“Yeah?” Rookie answers, bemused, as Sarah squints over to them like she’s suddenly turned very shortsighted.  “I told you! That's what I did!”
Sarah’s nose scrunches up, all the scars on her face pulling taut. “Yeah, but… I thought it was just a really long-winded joke. Like, making up a dumb fact about yourself because we surface-dwellers don’t know any better, y’know?”
Rookie’s not sure how it ever seemed that way, but they did (and do) say a lot of stupid shit when they thought they could get away with it — like saying that they got meat in the Vault by grinding up an unwilling sacrifice every week, or that drinking one’s own piss was a delicacy, or that some Vaulties were so obsessed with the artificial lights that they became like moth people, lured in the direction of a bright torch or flash of a gun’s muzzle. It was fun to make a spectacle of it, if only because the truth was so much more boring, only ever turning interesting to talk about when Rookie’s own life was on the line.
And the fact their GOAT-mandated job was as a fry cook in an old diner nobody ever used any more? Well, that was something that landed right in the boring category, so Rookie had never joked about it... but clearly it’s just about as believable as the rest of the stories.
“Well, bad news; it’s very real,” Rookie replies with a shrug, standing over the shabby kitchen counter shunted in one corner as they shape a series of patties. They don’t need as many as they’re making between them, but that’s ‘cause everything extra is going to get sold to The Brass Lantern, since Jenny’s always asking for them to spice up the menu somehow. She’d believed Rookie was a fry cook from the moment they’d told her, if only because Rookie had gone around to help fix their fryers one time and showed an absolutely stoic response to scalding-hot splatters of oil. “And even though the Overseer was a prick about hating me, everyone liked my burgers, so everyone liked me.”
Rookie pauses for a moment, hands slowing as they roll out a ball of minced meat. “Or, maybe they liked that I remembered all their orders by heart. Even Mr. Brotch— uh, my teacher in the Vault, he made a joke about remembering his order when I got my results. Hold the mustard, extra pickles.”
Sarah’s got an expression on her face that says she doesn’t believe any of this, which Rookie supposes makes sense when you consider the sort of life she’d had — a career soldier in the rough-and-tumble wasteland, coming to age with laser fire over her head and earning battle scars. She wasn’t taking weird tests in the safety of a hole in the ground, or complaining when she had to wake up early for an apprenticeship to her new career that she’d be the sole caretaker of at the age of eighteen; Sarah had been clambering up the precarious Brotherhood ranks, fighting off an unholy amount of enemies whilst learning how to command her own squad and accidentally get a Med-X addiction and maintaining suits of Power Armor and laser rifles and— well, Rookie could go on. Sarah’s not anything like them, which is good, because that’s why they like Sarah.
And all the while they’ve been stood there, thinking, Sarah’s gotten up from one of the (several) ratty old sofas that Rookie’s dragged into their house over the months, dusting herself off before stepping up right behind them to loom over their shoulder, looking at their mess of a kitchen counter. God, even when they live together, Rookie somehow manages to forget that Sarah’s built like a shit brickhouse.
“Bizarre,” she finally says, dryly, her smile wry. “And you weren’t coaching the baseball team… how, again?”
Rookie scowls down at that. Truth be told, it was a bit of a sore spot back when sore spots were just emotional and not the sort that left very real scars behind, but honestly? They’re still kinda mad about it! “Apparently, my mediocre throwing arm was very damning. Didn’t matter that I could basically deflect bullets with my bat, noooooo; I needed to also be able to throw a baseball at a one-centimeter-square target across the atrium blindfolded, backwards, and shitfaced.”
There’s a brief snort before Sarah dissolves into laughter, rumbling right through the height of her, and the little sting of resentment Rookie still felt — to the Overseer, no doubt, who’d probably pulled strings to make sure Rookie never got to do the thing they were actually good at — melts away in favour of something awed, staring up at how Sarah’s green eyes sparkle. Rookie’s not seen many trees in their life, since DC’s still too much of a bomb-churned wasteland to facilitate many of them, but they like to think they must all look a lot like Sarah’s eyes, shifting between light and dark in the brightness of the sun.
“You—” they start, and then stumble, because their mind really isn’t in the right gear at present. “Can, uh... can we kiss?”
The words fall right out of their mouth before they have the sense to plug the hole, and they blush furiously when they realise that wasn't really the sentence they’d planned to ask. Actually, Rookie’s not sure what they were going to say, because Sarah’s very distracting. All the time.
But Sarah doesn’t even look very surprised — instead, she just smiles a little wider, brows knitting in curiosity. “I mean, you don’t have to ask. You can kiss me whenever.”
“Yeah, but—” Rookie has to stop for a moment, because their gaze is currently darting around wildly, looking at anything that isn’t Sarah’s pretty eyes and her handsome face. “I kinda gotta? Your mouth is, like, miles away from me.”
Sarah huffs out another breath of laughter at that, but Rookie doesn’t even have time to be offended by their own observation before she leans down to press a kiss to their lips, having to stoop under the brim of their cap to reach. It’s never as electric as books and films say it is, but instead it fills Rookie with a tingling sort of warmth that wipes away just about every thought they’ve ever had, and they nearly drop their handful of mince on the floor as Sarah pulls back, looking down at them with a thoughtful look.
“You’re right,” she concludes after a second. “You are miles away. It’s like trying to give a molerat a kiss.”
Rookie just glares as she starts to laugh again, and boy would she be regretting saying that if she wasn’t wearing steel-toed boots around the house! “Oh yeah? Well, trying to kiss you is like tryna kiss a super mutant. Maybe even a behemoth, if they had hair.”
At that, Sarah’s eyes go wide, and for the fraction of a second, Rookie actually worries they’ve offended her. Well, that is, until she opens her mouth again. “Wow, you’ve tried? Know thy enemy, I guess.”
Two days later, when Sarah’s complaining about the bruise that’s bloomed across her shin, Rookie doesn’t apologise even once. But that’s okay. It got her closer for kisses for a whole minute, at least.

Chapter 2: A Detailed Preparation
“After all, perhaps dirt isn't really so unhealthy as one is brought up to believe.”
― Agatha Christie, Murder in Mesopotamia
“Sassenach, I dinna ken why we have tae spend all day cleaning the house. Nobody will be looking fer bits of dust. It’s only ma family tomorrow and they will be more interested in the bairn.”
Jamie got to his feet and wiped a hand across his forehead.
“And do ye think Murtagh will be sitting here tomorrow wondering if we’ve hoovered under this sofa?” He continued. “This verra heavy sofa… that ye made me move all by myself.”
“I just want it all to be right, Jamie. This is the first time that your dad, Murtagh, Jenny, Ian and the kids will have met William. It’s a momentous occasion. The least we can do is a spot of cleaning.”
Claire watched as Jamie gathered up the dusters and furniture polish. A perk of this necessary but uninspiring activity was Jamie’s chosen cleaning attire. While she herself was modestly dressed in old faded leggings and an extra large t-shirt of Jamie’s, he preferred to try to keep cool in very old running shorts, no longer in a suitable condition for public viewing, and a sleeveless t-shirt.
Unaware of her scrutiny, he turned and stretched his arms above his head, his t-shirt riding up with the sudden movement. Beads of sweat glistened on the trail of hairs leading down into his shorts.
Claire thought that, with the housework finished, they could maybe…
Jamie interrupted her thinking. “I’ll jes’ go and finish up cleaning in the bathroom, aye?”
Not waiting for her response, he made for the stairs.
“I just cleaned that bloody bathroom…” Claire muttered under her breath as she stomped to the utility room to put away the cleaning kit. “Does he not think I’d do it to his liking? Well, he can clean that bloody bathroom himself from now on… and the toilet… or does he just have to inspect what I’ve done…”
She didn’t hear Jamie calling from upstairs at first as she clattered around the kitchen. Eventually he raised his voice enough.
“Sassenach, come and see what I’ve done.”
Claire climbed the stairs still complaining under her breath about Jamie’s need to clean her already spotless bathroom. “...And if he’s changed the direction of the toilet roll, there’ll be words...”
The bathroom was dominated by a large, white bathtub. A large white bathtub currently filling with bubbles and a very tall ginger Scot reclining at one end. Steam rose from the taps in the centre of the tub. Jamie leant forward and added some cold water.
“I thought you’d come up here to inspect my cleaning.” Claire grinned.
“Och no, ye’ve, weel, we’ve done a grand job with all that.” Jamie reached a hand out to Claire. “There’s jes’ a wee bit more cleaning up tae do. I kent I smelt awfa bad and I’m guessing ye smell the same. So I decided tae fix us a nice bath. Sassenach, will ye join me, or are ye going tae stand there stinking?”
Quickly, Claire stripped off her clothes and threw them at the laundry basket. Gingerly, she stepped into the bath, wincing slightly as the hot water stung her cold skin.
“Come sit down here and I’ll give ye a wash.”
As Claire bent over to settle between Jamie’s legs, her bottom momentarily passed close to his face. Automatically he felt himself becoming aroused… a fact which was not lost on Claire as she nestled in close to Jamie, her back resting against his chest.
“And I thought this was an innocent bath, James Fraser.”
“With a wet, naked lady in it… not so innocent at all, Sassenach.”
Claire sighed and relaxed against Jamie, stretching her legs in front and wiggling her toes through the bubbles.
“It’s so nice having a bath large enough to stretch out in.” She sighed.
“Aye, it’s a nice large tub, right enough. But I dinna think we’ll be able tae make love in here. At least, no’ without causing a tsunami tae wreck the bathroom. Still, let me wash ye.”
Jamie worked the soap into a lather and began to massage his soapy hands over Claire’s shoulders, gently running up and down her arm, his fingers tracing circles on her skin. She could feel his breath -- warm against her neck -- as his teeth lightly nipped her earlobe, sending shivers down her spine. Any tension began to drift away.
Relaxing her head against Jamie’s shoulder, Claire closed her eyes and let her mind wander. Cocooned in the steamy lavender warmth of the bath, his fingers massaged her skin with a hypnotic rhythm. The only noises were their breathing and the random drip of a tap. She sighed, the sound oddly loud to her ears.
Jamie shifted as his hands left her arms. He chuckled as Claire gave a slight moan of disappointment and raised her head, the trance-like state broken.
“Dinna fash,” he whispered. “Jes’ after more soap.”
Swiftly his hands returned to her body, stroking across her shoulders and collarbone as she relaxed against his chest once more. Gradually, he moved down her body, his fingertips grazing her nipples with a featherlight touch. Claire sighed and instinctively ground her hips against Jamie, pressing deeper against his erection.
His hands continued on their downward journey, dipping under the water, pushing Claire’s thighs apart. She readily complied, positioning her legs on top of Jamie’s as he opened her up. The warm water and his fingers gently caressed her very centre.
Claire felt the longed for electricity begin to spark in her muscles, growing stronger with each stroke. But Jamie’s rhythm was not enough, she moved her hand to lie on top of his, guiding it, pushing it faster and faster as her climax built until it reached its zenith. Her hips bucked out of the water as her cry echoed off the tiled walls.
He kissed her neck as she relaxed back into him. They lay still for a moment.
“Best be getting out in a minute,” Jamie said
“But what about you?”
Claire turned to face Jamie and knelt. He watched her breasts, the nipples just above the water and felt his groin twitch in response as she leant forward to touch him.
“I dinna think I can last,” he whispered.
“That’s fine,” Claire answered. “Don’t hold back, Jamie.”
Jamie watched as, under the water, Claire ran her finger from root to tip and back before cupping his balls in one hand and curling her other hand around his cock.
"God, that's it." Jamie moaned as Claire set up a steady action.
Claire watched his face, looking for those familiar tell-tale signs that his orgasm was near: head back, eyes closed, breathing loud and ragged, his teeth biting his lower lip. His hands gripped the sides of the bath. Jamie lifted his head to look into Claire’s eyes, as with a cry, he came.
Claire shuffled closer to Jamie and put her arms around his neck before giving him a kiss.
“Water’s starting tae get cold now,” Jamie commented. “Why don’t we take this tae the bedroom?”
“Really, James Fraser? Ready for round two?”
“Aye, weel, I’m getting a crick in ma neck here now. Let me have a wee rest on the bed and I’ll see what I can do.”
***********
Jamie snuggled close into Claire’s back, trying to fit the contours of her body, ensuring as much skin to skin contact as possible.
She wiggled her bottom helpfully against his hips and laughed. “I’m not surprised you’re tired. Round two was just as good as round one.”
Jamie stroked her hair away from the side of her neck and kissed her, sending little shivers down her spine.
“Sassenach, can I ask ye…” his breath was warm on her neck. “Ye are ok? About tomorrow I mean? Bringing William home? A new part of our lives...”
Claire shifted around to face Jamie and stroke his cheek. “Jamie, it is a new chapter. But I’m ready to be there for you. Just as long as I don’t have to deal with Geneva… or her bloody mother.”
*****************
Jamie pulled the Volvo up outside Geneva’s house, switched off the engine and sat quietly for a moment. This would be his first day with William and he wanted to make sure that nothing was missing, that there was nothing Geneva could become annoyed about.
He didn’t actually care anymore what she thought of him, but he really didn’t want her to find ways to make this arrangement more complicated, or try to claim that it was unworkable and accuse him of unreasonable behaviour. And so Jamie felt that he would just have to grit his teeth and let some of the ‘Geneva-isms’ go without challenge.
He took a deep breath and headed for the front door.
Geneva answered the door at Jamie’s second knock. She greeted him without a smile and thrust a laminated sheet into his hands.
“Good morn -“ Jamie started to talk, before looking at the sheet. “What’s this?”
“On one side, it’s William’s regular schedule. On the other, it’s a checklist of everything I’m sending him with. I would be grateful if you return everything on the list when you come back this evening.”
Geneva picked up a couple of bags and passed them to Jamie. “I’m glad you got rid of the sports car. Did you get the car seat like I told you? Is it fitted properly? You didn’t try and do it yourself?"
Jamie sighed. “No, I didna do it meself, the garage did it when I picked the car up.”
It took Jamie three trips to the car to ensure that all the equipment Geneva deemed necessary for William’s seven hour stay with his father was loaded in the spacious boot.  Finally, the baby himself was carried out and ‘loaded’ into the car by Geneva.
“Bye William, be a good boy for your father.” Her voice softened as she spoke to the baby, before kissing his cheek.
Geneva stood up, discreetly trying to wipe her glistening eyes, and turned to Jamie. Her voice returned to its usual cold tone.
“So, you got the email I sent you? I trust you have everything on that list now at your house?”
Jamie nodded, now anxious to get away and finally be on his own with his son. He moved over to the car door.
“Oh, one final thing…”
He sighed.
“That outfit is Gucci. I would appreciate no nasty stains on it.”
“Geneva,” Jamie spoke through gritted teeth. “He isna even three months yet. He canna move around on his own. What do ye think I’m going tae do? Sit him in a puddle?”
“No, but I know your father and sister will be meeting him. Please check their hands before they hold him. That is all. Goodbye. Five o’clock sharp, please.”
***********
It took all Jamie’s willpower to stay focussed on the road and not to keep turning around to see William. There were times, he could admit now, when he doubted that this day would ever arrive, or that it would take months spent in lawyers’ offices and courtrooms.
After fifteen minutes or so, with Jamie snatching quick glimpses of William while stationary at red traffic lights, he could stand it no longer. He pulled off the main road onto a quiet side street and parked the car. He opened the rear passenger door and crouched down.
William stirred as Jamie took his hand, marvelling at how tiny it was in comparison with his. Jamie stroked William’s head, the soft down seemed much redder now. He still couldn’t quite believe that something so perfect could have come from something as disastrous as his relationship with Geneva.
This was, Jamie realised, his first time alone with his son. There was no one hovering disapprovingly in the background. Just father and son together.
“So, William, ye’re off tae yer other home now,” Jamie whispered. “Off tae meet the rest of yer family, the Scottish part of yer family… weel… and Claire, who may be a Sassenach, but we’ll forgive her fer that, shan’t we? She’s our special Sassenach.”
Jamie carried on talking quietly and softly stroked his son’s cheek. William stirred again and yawned slightly before opening his eyes. Slowly, he gave his father a wide gummy smile, a trail of drool escaping from a corner of his mouth.
Jamie gasped and then grinned in response. “Ye’re a bonny lad, William and ye ken yer Da. Come on, we’d best be heading home otherwise that Sassenach of ours will be having our guts for garters.”

Steven Universe: Marooned Together - Chapter Fifty-Four
(thanks as always to @real-fakedoors for proofreading - and fixing the intro!)
Zircon felt colder than normal. Brittle. Like she'd somehow not managed to readjust her gravity to whatever planet she found herself and was only keeping her form together by the barest of threads. The only dread she'd ever known that could compare to this was from what felt like a lifetime ago, when she'd been charged to defend Rose Quartz before the truth of her identity came to bare; even if it had been under false pretenses, the fear Zircon knew that day was very real. Tangible, like a foot slowly putting pressure against her gem, waiting and waiting and waiting, knowing she wasn't going to survive no matter what she did.
Looking over Holly Blue's camp, she felt remarkably like she had then.
On the surface, it looked idyllic. The waterfall, cascading down from a jagged cliff covered in greenery, poured into the crystal blue waters of a small lake that sparkled in the sun. Around it stood Amethysts and Jaspers, guarding about a dozen humans. Each was clad in an outfit fashioned from leaves and flowers, sunning themselves or swimming or sitting on the rocks in the water. Another half-dozen were in the trees, picking strange blue fruits from the branches. All seemed completely docile, utterly at peace - and all had the same, glassy expression.
“So, uh, where’d the humans come from?” asked Zircon.
“They were supposed to go to the Human Zoo,” replied Jay. “Holly Blue wanted to oversee the shipment personally so that nothing could go wrong. Except we got too close to this planet, and it interfered with the ship, so…”
“How did it do that?” Zircon tilted her head.
“I dunno, you’d have to ask Holly Blue.”
They walked up to a rock path that snaked behind the waterfall into a hidden cave. Jay took the lead, and Gee the rear - Zircon felt more than a little caged in.
The cave was lit by a few fluorescent lights that had certainly seen better days. There were salvaged, weathered banners depicting the symbols of Blue Diamond, but otherwise it was a fairly plain cavern of dark brown, almost black, rock. A small spring, about a metre wide, ran from the lake through the cavern, and on into a tiny crevice no human or gem could hope to fit through.
In the middle, sitting on a tall chair of wood and leaves, sat Holly Blue Agate. Next to her was a small cage; within it, hunched and covered with dirt and what Zircon suspected might be blood, was Jenny Pizza.
Carefully, Zircon adjusted her jacket ever so slightly - the hard light fabric rubbing against the communications device.
“Who is this?” barked Holly Blue, leaning forward. Jay and Gee both snapped to attention.
“A Zircon, my Agate!” Jay replied.
“Yes, I can see that,” grunted Holly Blue. “Why is she here?”
“I cr… I crash-landed, m-my Agate,” replied Zircon, shakily saluting. “Y-your guards found me.”
“Hmm… usually they couldn’t find their way out of a holographic container,” said Holly Blue. “Still, no matter, you’re here. I suppose it’s too much to ask that you’re our rescue ship, hmm?”
“I… no, nobody knows you’re here, my Agate.”
The distant sound of thunder echoed in the cave.
“Well, it might be for the best,” said Holly Blue. “The orbital storm would knock any rescuers out of the sky. No matter, I’m sure my Diamond will come to rescue her favourite Agate any decade now!”
“Orbital storm?” quizzed Zircon.
“Yes,” Holly Blue pouted. “The rain storms on this planet are mirrored by heavy electrical activity in upper orbit. They just about destroyed my ship - I had to jettison most of my cargo.”
“Cargo? What were you carrying?”
“These miserable humans,” sniffed Holly Blue, gesturing to Jenny. “Good for menial labour and nothing else. I spaced what I couldn’t take into the evacuation shuttles, and about half of the rest… do you know they need food to live? Ridiculous. Took us cycles to find sustenance that didn’t kill them.”
She slouched in her chair, rubbing her temples.
“Still, the water here is a boon,” she said. “Makes them docile, makes them dumb, makes them good workers.”
“Isn’t that… so they’re like Pearls?” asked Zircon.
“Yes,” said Holly Blue flatly. “Of course they are.”
“...oh.”
“Well,” said Holly Blue, getting to her feet. “We’ll find something for you to do, I’m sure. But for now, we need to induct this new human. Care to observe?”
“Uh-”
“Good, good!” Holly Blue clapped her hands together. “Pick up the cage, Amethysts, we’re going outside.”
Jay walked over to the cage and picked it up; Jenny spat at her, and the Amethyst recoiled, dropping the cage back onto the floor.
“Careful!” Holly Blue thundered.
“Holly, I-”
Holly Blue drew her whip from her gem and cracked it across the unfortunate Amethyst’s face. She fell to her knees, clutching her cheek.
“I will not have your incompetence damage my labourers,” snarled Holly Blue. “And you will refer to me by my proper title!”
Jay swallowed, standing back up.
“Yes, my Agate,” she said, quietly and shakily.
“I didn’t hear you,” growled Holly Blue.
“Yes, my Agate!” she repeated loudly, saluting.
“Good,” nodded Holly Blue. “The remaining humans should be returning from their work parties shortly. Once they’re here, we’ll initiate their new ‘friend…’”
---
The precipitation in the air was heavy as the other humans returned.
It was clear they were in bad shape. Covered in mud and leaves and more than a few wounds, they nonetheless smiled blankly as they took their places on the shoreline, joining their cleaner brethren as an audience for the coming display. Zircon felt uneasy as she watched them from her spot on a rock in the middle of the lake, gathered with Holly Blue, Jay, Gee and Jenny.
“Why are those ones so dirty?” she whispered.
Gee shrugged.
“They do the harder work,” she replied. “Finding materials for the shelter.”
“Shelters?”
“Holly Blue’s ‘personal quarters,’” Gee replied. “At the top of the cliff. She demands it be kept in pristine condition. Wants a stone sculpture of Blue Diamond carved by the end of-”
“No talking down there!” snapped Holly Blue.
Gee shut her mouth, averting her eyes.
Holly Blue crossed her arms.
“Alright, humans,” she said, in a slow, deliberate voice. “You have a new arrival. She will join you soon. Welcome her.”
The humans cheered - a strange, childish sound.
“I hate talking to them,” Holly Blue hissed to Zircon. “No intelligence whatsoever.”
“Uh… y-yeah, uh, they’re…” Zircon trailed off and nodded vigorously.
Holly Blue clapped once, and Gee stepped forward. She broke open the cage and grabbed Jenny by the arm, dragging her towards the water’s edge.
“Let me go!” she snapped.
Gee didn’t reply, kneeling down by the lake’s edge and grabbing the back of Jenny’s head.
“Sorry ‘bout this,” she said, “but I gotta dunk you.”
“You mean you’re feeding her the water?” asked Zircon.
Jay snorted and Holly Blue rolled her eyes, but Zircon’s apparently dumb question had served it’s purpose - thanks, of course, to her hidden communicater.
“Get ready to take cover, Zircs, we’re coming in…”
Before Gee could dunk Jenny, something burst out of the water’s crystal blue surface. It was Kiki, smiling wildly as she looked into her sister’s eyes.
“K-Kiki?” Jenny swallowed. “C’mon sis, you’ve gotta recognise me…”
“New friend!” she said, her tone bubbly and vacant. “Come join us!”
“Kiki, it’s me! It’s Jenny!”
Kiki tilted her head.
“What is ‘Jenny?’”
For a moment, Jenny was silent.
Then, with a snarled roar, she twisted out of Gee’s grip, rolling under her legs and grabbing her in a headlock.
“You’ll pay for this!”
“Restrain her!” bellowed Holly Blue.
Then, sudden as a clap of thunder, the world flickered with color, movement, noise, a million things all at once.
A round, purple blur burst out of the treeline, slamming right into Holly Blue’s face. It landed next to her as the big blue gem tumbled backwards - it was Amethyst, whip in hand.
“Fam, I don’t wanna do this, but I will if I have to!”
Jay’s eyes lightened up.
“Oh my stars! 8XM!” she exclaimed. “I-”
“You insolent, overcooked little pebble!” spat Holly Blue, jumping back to her feet and swinging her whip towards the interloper. “I’ll grind you into-”
“Nope!”
Bismuth slammed onto the rock, having literally leapt out of the trees towards them. She held up her arm, the whip harmlessly wrapping around it, and tugged - it was ripped out of Holly Blue’s hands.
“Sorry, nobody’s gettin’ ground into sand on my watch,” she said, grinning.
Holly Blue snarled, clenching her fists.
“Guards!” she bellowed. “For the love of Blue, seize-”
The ground shook, and suddenly every drop of the lake’s water was lifting upwards. For a moment, all they saw was a bizarre, upwards flowing waterfall in all directions - Kiki dropped out onto the rock, giggling.
When it cleared, Beryl hovered over an empty lake, arms outstretched, a giant bubble of water hovering above them.
“Let these people go, Holly Blue,” they snarled.
Jay and Gee glanced at each other.
“...yeah, I’m not fighting that,” said Jay.
“So, how ya doin’, 8XM?” asked Gee.
“Pretty good,” replied Amethyst jovially. “By the way, you’re gonna wanna move.”
She pointed up. The bubble was getting colder, it’s surface lightening as it gradually turned to ice. In mere seconds, it had turned into a giant, frozen boulder, hanging right above Holly Blue’s head.
As everyone else on the rock cleared off, Holly Blue glanced to the far side of the lake. There stood Sapphire, her face completely stoic; but the ice that froze the grass around her betrayed her true emotions.
“Ruby was hurt because of you,” she said calmly.
The boulder dropped, and all Holly Blue knew was darkness.
---
The storm was drawing closer.
On the surface, it resembled a typical monsoon, with heavy, flooding rain and strong winds. But only a hundred or so feet above was the electrical storm. Lightning danced amidst clouds so thick a person couldn’t see their hand in front of their face, as impossibly strong gusts created miniature airborne tornados. This continued as such for another several thousand feet.
Above these clouds, in the atmosphere, was the orbital storm - a deadly cloud of electrical currents, magnetic interference and crushing gravitational forces. It was a maelstrom so powerful that no ship could ever hope to survive contact with it.
This unstoppable natural force would be on top of the Crystal Avenger within the hour…

Spend the Night with the Hangman
Hangman Adam Page stripper cowboy AU, thanks to @robwiethoff‘s reply to this ask.  Also, I said I would, so I’m tagging @vonschweetz I hope you like it babe!
Summary: Belle Foster grew up in a rural farm town but had big aspirations in life.  Leaving home meant breaking up with her childhood sweetheart and the man she believed to be her soulmate, Adam Page.  Five years later she’s been working in New York City and is engaged to a man who is set to one day inherit a multibillion-dollar company.  Belle’s maid-of-honor Jenny decided to surprise her by throwing her a bachelorette party back home, and remembers Belle had a thing for cowboys once upon a time… what Jenny doesn’t realize is Belle only ever had eyes for one cowboy… and what Belle doesn’t know is that very cowboy is about to come into her life again, hired by an innocent, unknowing Jenny to be the entertainment for one wild night…
Rating: Explicit (there is a very descriptive smut scene)
Length: 10,088 words
Available below the cut or on AO3 HERE
A happy, glee-filled squeal split the air, followed by a suspicious gaggle of giggles from the rest of Belle’s closest girlfriends.  She raised a brow but was interrupted from asking what they up to by her best friend and maid of honor, Jenny, grabbing her by the shoulders and steering her firmly away from the window that overlooked the front yard.
“No peeking!”  Jenny chided and drove Belle back through the open archway toward the family room, which’d been decorated with streamers, balloons, and confetti bits.  A banner strung up on the back wall read in glittery, cursive gold: MISS TO MRS. CHEERS, BITCHES!
“Put on your sash and sit here,” Jenny commanded.  With a firm grip on Belle’s shoulders, she steered her around to a chair that’d been strangely drug to the center of the room, in front of the u-shaped couch, and left alone.  Belle was pushed into it and handed the silky white sash which read (also in glittery gold writing): BRIDE TO BE.  Jenny had been pressuring Belle to wear the sash any moment she noticed she’d taken it off.
“What’s going on, Jenny?”
Already this bachelorette party was too much.  Belle had told Jenny she didn’t want anything.  A small night out on the city, maybe.  Jenny had taken that for code that Belle wanted it back home in her rural farm town instead of the lively, designer boutique lined Madison Avenue of Upper East Side in New York City, where she now lived.  This was the last place Belle wanted to be, especially when her wedding to the set-to-inherit-his-father’s-multibillion-dollar-business-most-wanted-bachelor Jonathan Wright was fast approaching.
“It’s your final surprise of the night, I swear.”  Jenny said and reached to fix the sash across Belle’s pretty blue dress.
“What did I tell you about surprises?”
“Something about how you hate them because you want to know exactly what you’re getting yourself into, so you can calculate all the risks involved and see whether or not it’s worth it,” Jenny spoke fast, not taking a breath, and then exhaled and fixed Belle with a pointed stare.  “And probably a bunch of other boring mumbo-jumbo that I decided not to listen to. This is your last night for freedom and I’m tired of seeing you so busy worrying about the risks of living that you won’t even live for just one second.”
Belle just stared. Jenny grinned and gently rubbed her shoulder.
“Anyways, I remember you saying you used to have a thing for cowboys, so I looked around and just so happened to find you, future Mrs. Wright, a cowboy stripper.  He comes with great reviews!”
“Jenny! No!”  Belle’s face went pale, and then burned hot.
She’d met Jenny shortly after moving to New York, and while Jenny thought she remembered Belle having a thing for cowboys, she hadn’t remembered it entirely true.  Belle had a thing for a cowboy.  One.  The boy she’d grown up with, who she’d played tag with by the creek; who smeared mud on her and promised her it’d keep the mosquito’s from eating her alive; who’d played all sorts of make believe games until their parents hollered and they’d been forced to split; who’d called her once they got cell phones and kept her up so late, both their eyelids were drooping in class the next day; who’d missed her mouth the first time he’d leaned in to kiss her, too excited, and then blushed bright red with embarrassment until she gently took his face, pulled him in and pressed her lips right against his; who’d made love to her in the bed of his pick-up truck, where he’d laid down enough blankets to qualify for a bed and stolen all the pillows from his house, even the pretty ones his mama would kill him for taking out.
The cowboy with the…
Her friends in attendance were whispering.  The front door had opened and closed.  They came rushing in, a gaggle of geese, casting grins and winks her way.  Someone in another room pushed the button on a stereo, or maybe their phone, and the sounds of men vocalizing an all-too-familiar beat preceded the rip of a guitar and the opening of a song that was half rock, half country.  The women all cheered, too familiar and overly delighted that it’d be the first song the handsome cowboy stripped to.  At the opening lyrics: Well I walk into the room, passin’ out hundred-dollar bills and it thrills, and it kills…
He walked in with his curly blond hair momentarily tamed by a wide-brim black cowboy hat tugged low; his chest bare, a black vest over his back, unfastened so his thick torso was unobstructed from greedy eyes; tight, black boxer-briefs that hid nothing from the imagination; black and silver chaps hung on a leather belt secured by a large, glittering silver buckle; black cowboy boots; and a black bandanna with white bullet-pattern pulled up to the bridge of his nose.
… blue eyes.
Belle’s widened as they met his, and she didn’t miss how his did, too.  They fell down her front, over the sash Jenny had so happily placed across her, and then around the room.  He was taking everything in.  The last time they’d saw one another, she’d been breaking things off with him and moving far, far away.  She was never supposed to be back here.  They were never supposed to be back here.
Belle felt like the walls were closing in.
“Take a breath, tiger,” Jenny leaned on the couch to whisper in her ear, “you look like you’re about to pass out.  I know he’s good looking, but…”
But Jenny didn’t understand. It wasn’t only that he was good looking… it wasn’t only that her heart was racing and her body aching, seeing how age had done him more than well… it was him and everything that lay left unsaid between them.  Surely, he’d be respectful enough to drop the act, to apologize to the ladies perched on the edge of the couch cushions, waiting for the show.  He’d say it was unprofessional of him to dance for someone he used to know, and he’d free her from what was sure to be the most delectable torture she’d ever know.
Those blue eyes stopped surveying the room and landed square on her.  She waited for her salvation, for him to take the bandanna from his mouth (or leave it – she wasn’t sure she could handle seeing how handsome age had made his face, too) and excuse himself from the party.
Cause I saddle up my horse and I ride into the city!  I make a lot of noise cause the girls they are so pretty…
Big & Rich still crooned from the other room.  Belle could have sworn, despite the bandanna, she saw one side of his cheek lift higher than the other as if he was smirking at her.  His fingers moved to the edge of the vest and he was quick to tear it from his body, followed by a cacophony of drunken women shouting and hollering with excitement.  He moved toward her, closing the distance, that bandanna still hiding half his face from her view, but those blue eyes never once leaving her.
He threw his thick shadow across her, blocking out the light as he leaned over her, profile inches from hers.  Her friends made sinful little noises, excited that the hired entertainment was invading Belle’s personal space.
“Congratulations on your engagement, Miss Foster,” he spoke low behind that bandanna, so only she would hear him.  His fingers trailed down her arms and the touch was electric.  She hated her body for responding, raising gooseflesh wherever he did.
“Adam,” she barely breathed his name like a plea just loud enough for him to hear.  Don’t torment me.  Don’t do this.
“Nu-uh,” a low drawl, those baby blues – intense in their color, especially with half his face hidden by his pulled-up bandanna – jumped to her brown eyes.  He pulled to full height, either one of those thick thighs, muscled beneath the fat, framed her legs as he hovered over her.  She was forced to trail her eyes up his bare chest, fingers twitching at her sides and dying to remember the feeling of touching him, and the expressions he made when she did.  Her mouth was dry by the time she was looking up at his face.
“Tonight, li’l missy,” he drawled, loud enough now for her friends to hear too, “you’re spendin’ the night with the hangman.”
Cheers erupted, and Adam began to move over Belle in time to the beat of his music selections.  Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy was an obvious choice, albeit a perfect one, and it was clear he had a planned routine for the entire bit.  The attention was all hers, leaving her a speechless, flustered, bright-red mess as he gyrated and turned, giving her ample view of the front and back, as well as her friends enjoying the party.
Eventually he stepped away, but she didn’t have time to be thankful.  His back was to her, and she was distracted, looking at the muscles developed there.  Working his family ranch had always left him a man built of hard labor, but age had only made what was already great even better, and she could see the strength he had now.  He’d always been handsome.  Thick. Sturdy.  With that back to her, Adam raised his hand and tugged the bandanna down around his throat.  A few of her friends’ eyes widened, and shy smiles spread wide.
As handsome as ever, she guessed, even though he hadn’t turned to look at her yet.
Adam pulled the cowboy hat off those blond curls and jerked his head to toss them into disarray, the kind of way that made a woman mad with want to rake her hands through them. Fuck, he knew what he was doing. On the heel of his boot he turned and landed those dangerous eyes on her, and Belle felt her heart stop as heat spread down her body and pooled between her legs.  She tried to take a breath, tried to look unaffected, but knew by the glint in his eye that she’d failed.
His steps stalked the small gap he’d put between them, and he placed his hat atop her head.  This was different than when they were dating, and he’d gently laid it over her and smiled a big, happy smile when she’d playfully tipped it toward him.  The look on his eyes didn’t speak toward anything but what he was doing now – moving his hips and body to show all these women the sort of moves he possessed in the bedroom.
With his hat on her head, Adam dropped in front of her, his round ass out of those chaps for all her friends to squeal and giggle about.  Glancing over his shoulder he threw them a grin, and then those wide palms settled firm and heavy on her knees as his attention became all hers again. Her eyes widened.  He added pressure to her knees, guiding them apart, and then slid his body in between her thighs.  His blond beard rubbed the bare skin of her inner-knee and sent tingles up between her legs, making her adjust her seat and clench her jaw.
A light in his eyes told her he’d done it purposefully.  She glared at him.  He grinned.
With his fingers splayed, he pressed them along the inside of her thighs and ran them slowly up, as if teasing that he’d sneak them beneath the flirty material of her dress. He slipped them back just as his fingertips brushed her dress hem and settled them for leverage on her thighs. His face ran up her front, between her breasts, just inches from touching her.  The material of her dress was thin, and she could feel his hot breath wherever he went.  God… this was torture.  Wonderful, awful torture.
He stood and reached to grab her hand with his body still moving to the beat – the track had changed as he did his due diligence and paid his undivided attention to the bride-to-be, and now Trace Adkin’s voice crooned: Now she’s comin’ home to visit holdin’ the hand of a wild-eyed boy with a farmer’s tan… - and grinned down his naked front at her.  Belle was flush and hot.  She knew she must look a picture to her city friends who’d traveled back home with her for this very purpose.  They’d never seen Belle look flustered.  Belle didn’t let anything get under her skin.
Even her fiancé, Jonathan Wright, had never made her respond like this… but that was the point, wasn’t it? He was safe.
Adam’s thick fingers, calloused with hard work, were gentle but persistent as he guided her touch down his front.  The chorus of cheers made him grin ruefully, and he even winked toward the ladies perched on the couch as Belle’s touch ran with too much familiarity down his firm, thick pecs and along the line of his torso.  He kept guiding her hand down, and she licked her lips as her eyes dropped and followed its path, making her dizzier and dizzier with desire.  She glanced the material of his little black underwear and the obvious lump pressed, stretching it in a bulge.
He wasn’t going to… put her hand there… was he?
Belle looked up and met his eyes.  God, they were so blue… Was he doing this on purpose?  Tormenting her this way?  Reminding her how good it was to touch him and showing her how handsome age had made him? Reminding her what it looked like when he was moving over her, touching her, making love to her until she was an exhausted, gratified, quivering mess?  Was this some sort of… punishment?
Or was it not that personal, and he was just doing the job he was hired to do?
Adam’s eyes were on hers. His fingers curled a little tighter around her hand, and his nostrils flared as he skimmed her touch along the line of his belt buckle.  The other hand grabbed her other, free hand, and joined them so both her hands were on the buckle.  He lifted his hands up, leaving hers lingering as if she was in control.
“Your move, little lady.” His rural country accent was even thicker than normal.
Half of her wanted to roll her eyes and break through this confident, cocky attitude he had, telling him and everyone there she still remembered when he was scared of the dark as a kid, and she’d let him borrow her pony nightlight… but the other half wanted to grab him and drag him off right then and there, forget the party, forget her commitments, and forget the last five years that’d left them apart.
“Woooo!” Encouragement from Jenny and the rest of her girls, who were well into their alcohol and had been singing and dancing where they sat on the couch, offering their money to Adam as he entertained. “Strip him!”
“Yeah!”
“Let’s see how hung the hangman is!”  A wild chorus of giggles.  Adam played into them with charm, giving them another wink and a smile.
Belle knew she should tear her hands away and be done with the whole thing.  She looked up his naked front, towering over her, and he dipped his chin to his chest and looked down where she was seated.  She tugged, and the belt unbuckled.  He grinned, but she saw the initial surprise.  He didn’t think she was going to follow-through. Now they were both challenging each other.
Adam stepped back so he could take the chaps off and leave them in an unceremonious pile beside his previously-discarded vest.  Belle was still wearing his hat, peering up at him beneath the shadow of the wide-brim, head tilted back.  He dipped a hand to hers again, recapturing it enough to pull her up to her feet. Everything he did was smooth and well-practiced.  Belle tried to ignore the sudden heat of jealousy, thinking of all the other women who’d gotten to see this routine of his.  Since when had Adam begun stripping?
He stood her up and swapped their positions, sitting down in the chair and sliding his free hand to her hip, pushing her around to face him.  The hand still holding hers pulled her in, and he quirked his eyebrow – the one that had the little scar running through it – with a triumphant edge to his grin.  Did he think he’d won?  Did he think she was too embarrassed to give him a lap dance in front of her friends? Did he forget how competitive she was when he challenged her?  She wasn’t about to back down now.
Belle pulled her hand out of his and placed it on his shoulder.  The other found its perch on the other side, and she dipped her hips and lowered them, straddling him.  The country music filled the room and mixed with the supportive cheers of her friends as Belle grinded her hips against his.  The floaty material of her dress rucked up her thighs, and she watched Adam’s muscle jump in his cheek beneath his beard as he suddenly clenched his teeth. She swayed, moving her hips the way she remembered he liked, and only then realized how quickly the rest of the world was falling away… even the screams of her friends.
All she could see was the handsome, blond cowboy she was straddling, and all she could feel was his cock, filling, getting hard, rubbing along her panties.  She was sure, if they didn’t have the history they’d have, this would be crossing some sort of line.  But she knew his body and he knew hers, and it wasn’t hard at all to find her place grinding on his lap, stroking him with the intent to make him lose his composure and shake that cocky attitude he’d had tonight.  The gasps and hollers of her friends didn’t embarrass her – Belle could only look down at Adam, leaning back and looking up at her, and grin at the look across his face.  He was struggling.  How badly did he want to take his hands away from the chair, where his fingers were curled so tightly his knuckles were white, and put them on her?
A stuttered gasp and whispered moan left her in surprise, eyelids fluttering, as the thick head of his cock pressed just right – Adam’s hips had lifted a little in the chair – and skimmed her clit.  Their eyes met.  Sure, he was struggling… but so was she.  His body was responding to hers the same way hers was to his.  Kismet.  They couldn’t help it.  There was too much story.  Too much familiarity.  Their bodies knew one another like pieces of a puzzle, finally allowed to click together again.  Adam risked it, and guided her to grind again, just once more, and this time she had to grit her teeth to keep from moaning as electric tingles spread down between her thighs.
Carefully, he guided her off, and stood.  His cock was tucked discreetly, so rather than looking like he had an obvious hard-on, it’d just made his bulge swell even more impressively, and a few of her friends eyed it and elbowed one another before giggling and blushing and whispering dirty things not quietly enough.
Adam turned her around in a spin and slapped his palm against the fatty curve of her ass.  It was meant to signal that her turn was up – that he’d treated the bride-to-be the way he should have – but Belle remembered how much he’d loved to feel her ass, and she missed the familiar sting his contact gave it.  He plucked his hat off her head and looked at her for a lingering moment.  Belle didn’t give him the chance to say something that’d reveal their history to her friends.  She moved away, giving careful smiles to her friends who were overcome with excitement by the events that had transpired, and excused herself with some lie about needing water.
It wasn’t a lie entirely. Belle poured herself a glass of ice water and slipped outside, away from the cheers, and stepped out onto the front porch.  The wild noise fell to a hush, hidden behind closed doors as she sat on the porch swing and held her glass of cold water over her lap.  She couldn’t blame Jenny.  Jenny didn’t know about Adam.  No one in New York knew about Adam.  It wasn’t that Belle was ashamed of Adam… it was just that it was too hard to keep him while moving forward the way she thought she was supposed to.
They’d tried the long-distance thing when she went away to University, but even though that’d only been a state over, they’d struggled.  When Belle was offered a position right out of University, he’d been happy for her, until she’d told him that it was in New York City and she didn’t intend to turn it down.  His parents needed him to help on the farm and couldn’t make it without him.  Life had to go on for the both of them.  They’d broke each other’s hearts, and yet Belle still felt like she was to blame.  If she could have been happy with a more conventional life, to be Adam’s little wife on his parent’s ranch until he inherited it and it became theirs, they would have been happy.  But she wanted to reach for more and she’d thought she would find it in New York.
Still, there were times, more frequently now that her marriage date was fast approaching, that Belle felt a tight pressure of anxiety in her chest and a need to get away from the loud, busy New York streets and back into the quiet nights of her hometown. She was at a crossroads, but she’d put up roadblocks on the path back home and swore she wouldn’t pretend there was a way back.  If she was being true to herself, she didn’t want to be in New York like she thought she did, and she didn’t quite click with everyone the way she did with people back home.  She’d told Jenny she wanted to stay in New York for her party, but maybe that’s because she’d been afraid of the truth when she finally came out here.
And now that truth was staring her dead in the eyes.
Belle wasn’t certain how long she’d been sitting outside, but her ice had melted in her cup and the condensation on the outside wet the material of her dress by the time the front door opened.  She glanced, expecting to see Jenny or one of her other friends, but saw Adam instead. He was carrying his equipment, chaps buckled around his waist and hat in hand along with his vest and bandanna. He blinked when he saw her and stalled in his step.  His truck was waiting just down the path out the front yard, and just a mile and a half down the street he’d be back home.
“Is this how you go around town now?”  Belle cleared her throat to break the tension that’d swelled between them.
“Huh?  Oh,” he glanced down his front and grinned before he shrugged, “I mean, it does better advertising than a billboard would, right?”
Belle rolled her eyes and sighed a breath out of her nose with faint amusement.
“I guess I’m supposed to really say congrats now, huh?”  His voice was tight.  She looked at him, his eyes were dark, and he gestured at the sash across her front. Belle looked down at it.
“Oh, right.”  She plucked the white silk and chewed at her lip. “Thanks.”
“Lucky guy.”  He said, and the cushions sighed as he sat quietly down beside her without invitation.  He was on the opposite side of the porch swing, leaving a cushion of space between them. Belle tried not to think about how many nights she’d tucked in as close as she could against him, laid her head on his shoulder and talked about anything and nothing for hours as he swung them gently back and forth.
“I don’t know about that.” Belle said.
“What’s that mean?” Adam was watching her.  Belle tried (and failed) again not to get distracted by how handsome he’d grown in these last five years.
“Jonathan…” Belle trailed off, suddenly realizing she didn’t know what to say.  To the boy who’d always been her best friend she wanted to tell the truth: some days she didn’t even think her fiancé knew she existed. To the first man she’d ever loved she wanted to tell the truth: the way Adam made her feel in that room, preforming a staged strip routine that was mild at best (she’d seen just how raunchy some of those shows could get), was the most alive she’d felt in years.
To the man whose heart she broke…
“He’s different.”  She concluded and looked back at her hands curled around the glass cup.
“Different how?”  He wasn’t letting up.
“He just has a lot on his plate.  His dad owns about a dozen businesses and has his hands in dozens more, and with Jonathan being his successor, he’s either behind closed doors in meetings all day, flying international to meetings all around the world, or responding to someone off his phone every other second.”
“Sounds lonely.”
“He’s literally talking to people all day, Adam.”  Belle frowned at him.  “How could he be lonely?”
“I meant you.”
“Oh.”
Quiet.  They could hear the soft chirps of the grasshoppers in the tall grass and the flutter of the moth’s wings as they flew around the yellow, glowing porch light.
“Is it?”
Belle swallowed. “Sometimes, I guess.”  All these years later and she couldn’t lie to him, especially not when he talked in that sweet, soft voice that beckoned all truth from within.  She knew if she looked at those blue eyes and found them gentle and searching, she’d lose all hope of fighting to keep from crawling into his arms.
“Belle…”
“Adam, we shouldn’t talk like this.”
He pushed himself off the swing and it swayed gently.  She glanced at his retreating back and watched him collect the things he’d set aside before marching down the porch steps to his pick-up truck.  Really?  Had that really made him so mad he wasn’t even going to say goodbye?  Belle frowned in astonishment at his retreating figure. Was he really that childish?
Adam chucked his things on the bench seat of his pick-up truck and closed the door, but didn’t climb in. He turned around and cocked his head, peering up at her on the porch.
“Come on, Foster. Let’s go for a ride.”  He slapped his palm on the bed-frame of his truck. “For old time’s sake.”
She regretted thinking he was going to march off without a goodbye.  This was worse.  Much worse.
“Adam, I can’t just go with you.”  She gestured at the house behind her.  “All my friends are here throwing me a bachelorette party, in case you’ve forgotten.”
“Yeah, about that…” He squinted back at the house and then looked at her again, “I actually don’t think they’ll miss you that much.  They’re three sheets to the wind and playing ‘pin the penis on the cowboy’ which, by the way, I declined being a live stand-in for once I noticed you’d left.”
“I suppose you expect a thank you for that?”
“I do.”  He grinned.
“Do you at least have a shirt and some pants you can put on?”  Belle asked, setting her glass aside and walking to the edge of the porch, right before the steps, tilting her head at him.
“I’m afraid I left my change of clothes at home.  Like I said, you’re spending the night with the hangman.”  He gestured down his front as if showing himself off.  Belle knew he didn’t have a pompous ego, but his playful banter as if he did was making her smile despite everything.
“Please,” Belle snickered.
“Don’t act like you don’t like what you’re lookin’ at, darlin’.”  He drew heavy on his accent again, and Belle tried to ignore the way her stomach tightened with want.  “I know what I felt when you were grinding on top of me back there.”
“That so?  I know what I felt too, cowboy.”  Belle shot back before she could stop herself.
A hungry look flickered briefly across his face.
Belle looked back at the closed door just as an eruption of laughter exploded inside.  Adam was right, they were too drunk to worry about her right now.  They’d notice in a little bit that she wasn’t around.  Belle sighed and pulled her phone out, sending a quick text to Jenny. Met up with an old friend.  BBL. Don’t wait up.  Belle clicked the send button and descended the steps quickly, surprising Adam, who jumped and moved quick to jog around to the passenger’s side and swing the door open for her.  Belle tugged the sash from around her and, wadding it up, chucked it into the yard as if she were simply too lazy to go back and lay it on the porch.
In truth, there was something sort of… satisfying about tossing it away the way she did.  Maybe it was that same feeling that’d made her uncomfortable every time Jenny noticed she wasn’t wearing it and made her put it back on.
Belle climbed in and Adam closed the door behind her, moving to the driver’s side and starting the truck up. He’d pushed his things – the hat and the vest – to the floor of the truck and left the bench seat empty between them.  Neither of them said anything for a good minute, as if they were afraid to ruin what they’d just agreed to.  As if the minute she spoke up, Adam would suddenly pull over, reach and pop the passenger door open and shove her out.  Or the minute he spoke up, Belle was going to come to her senses and scream at him to take her back home or face some sort of consequence.
But they couldn’t sit and stew forever.
“So…” Belle glanced over at him and he looked at her.  They smiled and looked forward again.  “Um… how long have you been… doing…” she glanced again and waved a hand up and down his still practically naked body.  “This?”
“Stripping?”  He asked casually, as if amused that she was shy about it.  “A couple years now.  Work slowed down around the farm, my dad sold off about half of it to pay some debt we’d accrued from a bad harvest and we needed a little extra cash.  A buddy of mine suggested I look into stripping, since cowboys are always in, and we’re only a forty-five-minute drive outside a city big enough to get clientele for it to be worth it.  He owns a business called The Elite, and they do shows around the U.S.  He was going to bring me on, but I told him I wanted to try and get a feel for it locally… and I’ve still got to do my fair share helping on the farm, especially with dad getting older.”
“Oh,” Belle said, surprised. “And has it been worth it?”
“It’s gotten me a fair share of money, I guess.  It helps when times are tough.”  Adam shifted and cruised his old pick-up down familiar country backroads.  “You really didn’t know?”
“What, that you’d become a stripper?  No!” Belle laughed and shook her head.
“Ah, I thought…” He trailed off.
“You… thought I hired you… on purpose for my bachelorette party?”
“When I saw the name I just kinda figured…”
“Adam,” Belle looked at him, brows pinching inward, “I wouldn’t have done that to you on purpose.” It only occurred to her then… what if this wasn’t hard for Adam anymore?  Seeing her?  Their break-up?  What if she was the one stuck in the past, and she was assuming he was there with her? There was only one way to find out.
“Isn’t it hard for you to see me?”
Adam slowed the truck and pulled off the road.  The gravel crunched beneath the tires and they bounced for a moment in the cab over uneven terrain before he stopped it entirely.  His hand pushed the gear in park and he turned the keys, stilling the ignition.  It was quiet for a few seconds.
“I don’t know what’s harder,” he said, still looking out the windshield at the fields illuminated by his truck’s headlights, “seeing you or not seeing you.”
“Adam…”
“Belle…I…”  He exhaled.  His thick fingers left the steering wheel, turning off the lights and pinched his low, heavy brow.  “Leading up to tonight,” he started, pulling his hand away and leaning back, peering out at the moonlit road they sat besides, “I kept running over and over in my head what I’d do when I saw you.  I kept rehearsing everything I wanted to tell you.  You know there were a couple times I actually thought about buying a plane ticket to New York, figuring out where you lived and showing up at your doorstep?”
She could feel him looking at her, but she wasn’t brave enough to meet his eyes.  Her heart was in her throat.
“Belle,” his voice cracked, soft with emotion, “Belle, look at me.”
She swallowed and turned her eyes to his.  How tenderly he watched her made her want to cry.  No one looked at her the way Adam did, no matter what mood he was in.  She could read his heart in his expression.
“I just need to tell you, no matter if it makes you so angry you get out of this truck and try to walk back home-” she’d done that one time before when they’d fought, and he’d trailed her for half a mile, yelling at her to get back in while she raised her chin and refused to give him the time of day “-but if this is the last chance I have to say it before you’re off and married, I’m gonna say it.”
Adam reached, and gently gathered her hands in his.
“I have always loved you, Belle Foster, and I’m always gonna love you.  No matter what.”
“Adam,” she sighed, trying to fight how wretchedly her heart ached, and the way that returned sentiment clung to her tongue, just begging her to find the strength to set them free. “What do I do with that?”  She said instead, her shoulders dropping.
He pulled his hands away slow.
“Whatever you want to.”
Belle looked at him again, and saw the fear of rejection, the hope that she wouldn’t, the desire inspired by their closeness, and the anger that she was getting married to someone that wasn’t him.  His face was so familiar and yet, age nearly made it foreign.  Even his blond curls, he’d let them grow out, and the look suited him.  Idly, Belle reached between them, and pinched one between her thumb and forefinger, feeling the soft texture.  She scooted closer on the bench seat… and closer…
He turned toward her, and Belle leaned in until their lips brushed gently against one another, testing, curious… They pulled back just enough for their eyes to meet…
Adam’s large hands flew in opposite directions.  One went to the back of her head, tangled tight in her hair, and all but pushed her mouth hard against his.  The other ran down her spine, caught the zipper of her dress and yanked it open in one fluid motion.  He pressed into the open material, lingered over the soft, bare skin of her back and pushed down until it could curl under her ass.  He squeezed the fat there and encouraged her closer to him.  His tongue slid into her mouth and his beard scratched her face as he turned his head, seeking the best angle to kiss her.
Five years of pent up passion made them wild for one another.  Belle’s fingers ran down his bare chest, curling and lightly raking her nails down his skin, not enough to leave a mark but enough to make him inhale with a hard hiss once their mouths broke apart.
He didn’t linger but leaned in to litter hot kisses along her jawline and down the hollow dip of her neck.  His fingers left her hair and ran down over the front of her dress, palm curling over her left breast.  Memory reminded him where her nipples were, and his thumb stroked over the material before he gathered the fat and pinched it just tight enough to elicit a soft moan of pain and pleasure from her kiss-swollen lips.  His hands relaxed and slipped up, pressing between her cleavage and into her dress to touch her breasts freely, no clothes obstructing him.
“Oh… Adam,” Belle sighed, eyes rolling as he suckled the sensitive skin on her neck.
The hand that’d been gripping the fat of her ass slipped around to the front, and blindly pushed at the gathered material of her dress until it could crawl under.  She felt his touch move up her thighs, no patience left, fingertips squeezing beneath the elastic of her white-lace panties.  With familiarity and boldness, Adam’s fingers slipped into her wet cunt, and his thumb rolled over her clit, teasing it and sending shivers of pleasure down her thighs.  Belle’s fingers curled around his blond locks, and she was too busy being swept away with pleasure to worry if she was tugging too hard.
Body responding, Belle’s hips arched toward his touch, and she moaned the more his fingers flicked and rubbed and teased her clit.  She knew she was getting soaked.
“Fuck,” he cursed suddenly and pulled away from where he’d been leaving red marks down her chest. His eyes met hers – they were nearly black, the pretty blue eaten to slivers as his pupils dilated – and he was breathing heavy and fast, his naked chest rising and falling with effort. “Too cramped in here,” he said.
“Do you have any blankets?”
Adam grinned and gently pushed her away so he could step outside his truck and reach behind the seat, quickly pulling folded-up blanket after folded-up blanket free.  Each of them was chucked into the bed of his truck, and any time their eyes caught, they smiled at each other like they were young and dumb and in love again… not like she was supposed promised to be married to someone else, and not like she was going to be going back to New York, and not like Adam was going to be staying back here.  They’d both agreed to chuck reality and morality out the window and no one was around to remind them why they shouldn’t.
Adam was quick to jump up into the bed and pile the blankets one after the other on top of one another. While he did that, Belle slipped out and came around back, leaning on the tailgate and watching him at work. When he’d finished, he bent toward her and offered his hand.
“Milady.”
“Milord,” she replied playfully, slipping her hand in his and hoisting herself up and into the bed beside him.
Adam lowered down and laid back, reaching up to grab her hand and pull her down over the top of him, straddling him.  Belle pulled the material of her dress from where it’d gathered between them, so she’d be sure once she pressed her hips down on his there was nothing between them but the very thin material of their underwear.  He groaned, and his hands framed her hips, guiding the pace he wanted her to grind on him, lifting his hips to erase the space between them.
“Mmm, yeah,” he grunted, eyes rolling back, “fuck, Belle…”
He was getting hard again. This time they didn’t have to be careful in front of a group of people.  This time Belle let her weight sit on him, spread over him, and ran the length of his semi-hard cock between her lips, feeling him despite the thin layers of clothing they still wore.  She angled her hips so his wide, fat head would press her already teased clit, and moaned, thighs clenching tight around his hips, knees pushing down against the blankets.
“Adam,” she whined.
“Keep going darlin’,” he encouraged with a tight voice, “keep goin’ until you cum.  I’m not gonna stop tonight until you’ve cum so much you can’t walk tomorrow.”  He learned the pace, and understood right when he’d hit her clit, and began thrusting his hips up to make it more intense.  He was getting harder, and she could feel that familiar thickness that used to stretch her enough that it was nearly painful.  Nearly.
“Fuck!  Adam!  I’m… I’m going to!”
“Yeah Belle,” he huffed, staring up at her grinding on top of him, “cum for me, li’l darlin.”
“AhH!”  She stilled and clenched tight, fingers splayed over his chest curling inward, body jerking as her thighs trembled around him.  She came, soaking her panties in wet, cunt twitching on his cock.
Adam grinned up at her, lifting one hand from her hip to gently tuck her hair behind her ear.  He let her wait until she’d stopped twitching, sensitive, and guided her up and off him.  His hands made quick work of unbuckling the silver belt-buckle and pushing the chaps down where he kicked them off with his boots and socks.  He paused before removing the little black underwear he was wearing and instead turned his attention toward her.  He reached for her dress, laying near off her shoulders, and gently tugged the material down.
She hadn’t been wearing a bra, and her nipples were hard from his previous teasing.  Adam’s eyes fell to them and he sighed a breath of wonder through his lips.  “God damn,” he swore, “I’ve missed the sight of those.”  He leaned in and began to kiss every inch of skin he revealed, as if he meant to cherish it.  His fingers moved slow to peel her dress away, giving her enough time to come down from her prior high and work herself into a new, frenzied need the slower he went. Finally, the pair of them were matched, both only in their underwear, but Adam sat up and gently pushed a hand on her shoulder to guide her down until she was lying flat on her back and looking up at him.
He curled his fingers in the elastic of her panties and slid them down slow, cursing again in a whisper as his eyes fell between her legs.  The blond hairs of his beard scratched her skin as he bent between her knees and began placing kisses along the sensitive skin on the inside of her legs. He kept advancing until his tongue curled and pushed between her lips, sinking inside and then up, curling and flicking her clit.  He moaned into her, and the vibrations drove her wild.  She arched toward him, panting, naked, squeezing his head between her thighs as he ate her into delirium.
One hand, its palm flat on the bed of blankets, held his body upright while the other slipped between them, and two fingers sank deep inside her.  He suckled and licked her clit while his fingers mimicked the way his cock would thrust inside her and stroked the inner walls of her muscles. He knew from experience it’d take a little time building her back up to a second orgasm so soon, but he didn’t seem to mind.  He’d always told her she tasted better than anything he’d ever had on his tongue, and he’d happily get lockjaw if it meant spending hours between her thighs.
Some things never changed.
Belle arched her hips toward him, eyes rolled back in her head, panting, moaning, and whining his name. Her fingers curled tight into the blankets she laid on.  He hummed harder and the tip of his tongue flicked over her clit more wildly, mimicking the way a vibrator would jump across it.  His beard tickled her as he pressed closer.
“Oohh, oh fuck, Adam, nnng…I’mgonna…”
She locked around him. There was no helping how tightly her thighs squeezed either side of his head.  She couldn’t help it if she tried.  For a moment she was suspended before the crescendo, and the world seemed as still as she was, and then, all at once and with a half-choked scream, she cried and came against his warm mouth. “ADAM!”  Her cry echoed around the farm fields they were parked beside.
Adam was kind enough to lap gently with every pleasurable pulse that caught her body.  Eventually, when the pleasurable shivers had stopped, he let her hips rest on the blankets and pulled his fingers from inside her before leaning back and smiling.  His clean hand reached up to wipe her wet from his beard before he stuck the fingers that’d been inside her into his mouth, sucking them clean.  He leaned back on his calves, between her open legs, and looked down her naked, laid-out body.
“You’re beautiful.” Astonishment in his voice.
Belle looked up him, at the soft bit of fat that lay over hard muscle and his large chest, up to his handsome face looking soft and honest down at her.  The moon lit a gentle halo around his blond hair, making some strands look nearly silver.  Her heart ached very suddenly, seeing him so beautiful like this, with her naked legs at either side of his thighs where he sat between them.
“I’ve missed you,” she whispered, knowing the truth was only likely to bring them more heartache, because loving someone didn’t mean everything else was magically solved. When they came away from this strange, wonderful bubble they’d captured themselves inside she’d still have to face a return to New York, her busy career, her expensive upstate apartment, and her fiancé who paid her about as much mind as one would pay a potted plant. From time to time Jonathan might catch his eye on her, and smile and tell her how wonderful she was, but his phone would vibrate, or he’d remember needing to rush off elsewhere and it’d be closed walls all over again.
With Adam… she consumed him the way he did her.  Everything else fell away until it was just them, making love beneath the stars.
Hooking his fingers into the elastic of his underwear, he peeled them away and settled between her legs again.  Gently, he pushed at the inside of her knees and encouraged her legs to spread before hooking his arms under her thighs and pulling her toward him.  The throbbing head of his leaking cock ran between her wet lips and made him grunt, nostrils flaring and body momentarily stiffening. His fingers curled hard into the fat on her thighs, and then he exhaled and opened his eyes on her.  He lowered atop her, warm, and she felt his cock pry where she was sticky and wet.  Her muscles clenched in anticipation, ready to squeeze tight around him.
“I’ve missed you too,” he breathed in her ear, pressed his lips against her temple, and sank just an inch of his cock barely inside her.  “Fuck, Belle…”  He pressed the side of his head against hers and his breath stirred her hair.  “I don’t have a condom on me, but I… I need you.”
When they were young and stupid they sometimes fucked without on the promise he’d pull out. Now, as adults, they knew better. Then again… did they, really?  She was engaged to another man, and the history between them wouldn’t be enough to excuse them for what they were doing now. What they were doing was wrong, but neither of them wanted to think about that.  Belle certainly didn’t want a reality check.  Not now.  Not with the man she’d loved her whole life poised over the top of her, ready to make love to her, with a blanket of twinkling stars shining up above him. Not when she finally felt alive, and like things made sense, despite how wrong this all was and how horrible she should feel.
She couldn’t feel badly about anything when she was with him like this.  Honest.  Vulnerable. Desperate.
“I don’t care,” she said, and swallowed back the guilt, “I need you Adam.”
It only occurred to her now how lonely she’d been these last few years.  She’d felt like she was living life as a ghost of sorts, detached from who she was at her core.  As much as she’d wanted to belong in the city, she never felt as alive as she did now. Underneath Adam, poised to make love, the stars above them… Belle felt like she’d finally just come up for air.
Adam slowly sank his cock inside her. Inch by inch, he restrained himself and forced it as slow as possible, as if he wanted to draw out the sensation of what it felt like to be inside her again.  A low moan poured out of his open mouth, and Belle, arching toward him, responded with one of her own.  Adam knew better than to immediately push all of himself inside – the girls may have been joking when they asked how hung the hangman was, but Belle knew they’d have been impressed to know the truth – and only sank part-ways before easing back and sinking in again.
Propping his weight on one hand, he used the other to gently pinch her chin.  Their eyes locked as he pushed in, and shoved a little harder with his hips, making her moan louder.  He went deeper with every stroke now, building them as they exchanged hot, panting breaths, moans, and utterances of each other’s names.  Adam let his fingers slip away from her chin and run down her body, his calloused, rough fingers rolling her nipple before he bent and swirled the flat of his tongue across it. He spent equal time on both her breasts, kissing and suckling, rolling her nipples between her teeth and pinching just hard enough to make her moan a little louder.
Every thrust of his thick, hard cock ran against that special little spot that most men didn’t understand how to hit.  Adam knew just how to hold her hips up, and how to dip his and thrust just right so that Belle’s toes curled, and her moans became needy cries with every hit, gratification like electricity run through her veins.
“Oh fuck, Adam,” Belle’s eyes rolled and her mouth, lips swollen from their passionate kisses, hung wide open. She couldn’t believe she was building toward another orgasm already.
“Yeah,” he grunted, panting over her, eyes leaving her face to look down between them where his hips pushed into hers and made the fat on her body ripple.  Sweat trickled down his front and stuck strands of his blond curls to his face.  Belle could feel how wet she was, smeared on their thighs the more he fucked her. When was the last time sex had been this good?
It wasn’t just the sex, but the emotions, too.  Meeting his eyes, watching the way his jaw clenched and his eyes rolled as he hit a particularly good thrust, or the way he met her gaze and held there, like he wanted to burn her memory into his mind, so he’d never lose it… all of it was almost too much, but she’d never want anything less.
Adam thrusted harder, jaw clenched as he pumped inside her.  Belle should have worried he was too lost in their tryst, like she was, and that he wouldn’t pull out.  But maybe subconsciously, she didn’t want him to.  Maybe he didn’t either.  Rather than say anything, Belle screamed his name and arched her hips into his thrusts, building closer and closer yet.  Adam shifted, pulling himself upright and running his hands down the curve of her body before they settled on her waist.  He was up on his knees between her legs again, and he picked up her hips, resting her weight in her shoulders.  Never did his thrusts slow, but as he lifted her up to take the impact of his cock, he started to go faster.
“ADAM!”  Belle cried again that night, and her body seized tight around him before she came, and her thighs jerked and twitched.
“Nng-Belle-I’mgonna-” He barely managed, with a thin voice ready to snap, to say those words before he pushed her hips down hard against the blankets and pinned her there. Thrust up as deep as he could inside her, Adam’s body jerked, and his fingers curled almost painfully hard into the fat of her hips.  He couldn’t help it, lost in the ecstasy of their shared orgasm, in the same way she couldn’t help but twitch and quiver around him.  She felt the heat of his cum inside her.  He pulled his cock back slow and pushed in again, drawing out the last few seconds of their joined orgasm.
Then, when they could finally breathe, he all but collapsed on top of her and shifted his weight so he wouldn’t smother her beneath his warm, sweat-sticky body.  They lay in quiet for a minute, looking up at the night sky.  His hand gently ran up and down her arm, and he leaned to press a kiss against her bare shoulder blade.  The fog of their shared gratification began to dissipate, leaving them with the realities that were harder to face.
“What now?”  Belle asked, her voice small.
“Hm,” Adam grunted, and pushed some of his blond curls out of his face.  “I could go for a burger.”
“That’s not what I meant,” she couldn’t help but laugh, though, and when her eyes found his she saw he was grinning.
Their smiles slowly slipped away, and it left them staring at one another.
“You could always come home,” Adam said, and the hope in his eyes was near enough to break her heart all over again.
“You’ve really never stopped loving me after all this time?”  Belle asked, gaze searching his, waiting to see even a flicker of doubt.
None came.
“Never.”  Adam confessed, and grabbed one of her hands with his own, bringing it up to press his lips against her knuckles. “You?”  She saw that same searching, worried look.
“Never.”  She admitted.
He visibly relaxed.
“I tried to stop,” he said after a minute, and when Belle looked at him, saw his gaze was far-off and distracted.  He was seeing the past.  “I tried to stop loving you.  After awhile it was easier to pretend like you’d never existed, but then I’d see something, and I’d start remembering what’d happened there with us and before I knew it…” he trailed off.  His eyes, heavy with the honesty he was unburdening, moved up to hers.  “Was it easier at least, being in New York?”
“Yes,” she confessed at first, and then frowned and shook her head, “and no.  It’s different and busy enough that it provides plenty of distractions, but there’s lots of times I felt lost and alone, too.  I’d catch myself tossing and turning in bed, and when I went out on my balcony, hated everything different about it.  I never understood how a place could be so excitingly different and so upsettingly foreign.”
Belle had never been able to talk to anyone the way she could talk to Adam.  His fingers ran gently down her bare spine, comfortingly touching her even as they lay, naked and tangled beneath the country night sky. How many times had they been here before?
“We always made a good team.”  Adam concluded.
“Yeah, we always did.”
The somber truth, which was never far from their conversation, lay in quiet, heavy weight across them again.  Adam braced his hand on her hip and slowly eased himself from inside her to start gathering their clothes scattered around the truck bed.  He handed hers first and pulled on his tiny black underwear. Despite the very real thing they’d just done and the unanswered questions weighing down, Belle couldn’t help but grin again and shake her head at him.
“What?”  He asked, glancing down his front and looking back up at her.
“You… this… I never would have thought you’d turn to stripping.  Did you pick out the outfit?”
He’d folded up his chaps in his hand, and glanced at the silver, swirling design that was sewn with a glittering thread meant to catch light and shimmer brightly.  “I did, actually,” he said, and grinned as he looked up at her. “Cowboy shit.”
Belle laughed.
“I saw the way you looked at me when I walked in that room,” Adam teased.  “You were into it.”
With how cocky he was grinning at her, Belle wanted to lie and tell him she wasn’t.  He’d know, though.  She glanced around them, where the blankets were rucked up from how their bodies moved as they made love.
“I think it’s pretty fair to say I was into it.”
“Next time I’ll show you the routine where I use my bandanna a little more…”
“And how does one use a bandanna, exactly?”  Belle arched a brow, and even though she was happily exhausted, couldn’t deny the excitement that raced like a thrill through her body.
“There’s lots of ways,” Adam replied nonchalantly, reaching out to gently stroke her wrist with his calloused thumb, “I can use it to tie your wrists together… or even as a blindfold…”
“Well then,” Belle tried to keep her voice level, and tried not to think about everything that’d entail, which was hard when he was sitting so close to her, still in just his underwear. “I look forward to the next show, hangman.”
“Does that mean…”  He was looking at her, waiting.
“I don’t know what it means,” Belle admitted, “but I’ll tell you what I do know.  I don’t know if I can take another five years of not seeing you. Hell, I don’t even know if I can take another day.  I have some… things… to take care of and it won’t be overnight…”
Adam reached between them and gathered her hands.  “I can be patient.”
“I still have a few months left on my apartment lease, and I’d have to see what kind of jobs there are in commuting distance…”
“You’re not going to scare me off, Foster.”
“You mean that?” Belle watched him carefully. “Last time we tried long distance…”
“Last time we tried long distance I was a twenty-two-year-old boy who thought he was a man, and I feared losing you so badly that I acted like an idiot and lost you anyways.  I’ve thought a lot over these last five years, Belle, and I know where I went wrong, and I swear I won’t ever do that again.”
“It wasn’t just you,” Belle said, shaking her head at him.  “I was unwilling to compromise too.  I thought I needed to be away from this place and everything that reminded me of it, you included.  But… you’re my home, Adam.  You always have been.  Not New York or Paris or Tokyo or wherever else I could wind up… my home is wherever you are.”
He couldn’t hide what her words did to him.  The gentle, happy expression across his face made her unable to resist leaning in to press a kiss to his mouth, slow and sweet, before she pulled away again.
“What’s your opinion on the stripping?”
Belle hadn’t been expecting the question.  She laughed, then shrugged.  “Actually, I like it.  There’s something… fun about watching other women go crazy for you, but knowing you’re coming home to me afterwards.”
Adam grinned.
“When does the strip-tour start with your buddy’s business?”
“Actually,” Adam laughed, “pretty soon.  My dad’s been doing alright, and I’ll only be away for a few days.  I think Cody told me the next show they want to get me in on is in a month and a half or so, out in California.”  He paused, regarding her.  “Wanna come?  I have a few new moves I plan to reveal… and I could use a willing participant to practice on leading up to the show…”
Belle grinned ear-to-ear.
“You’re so on, cowboy.”

And From There It's Argument To Argument Mainly From Steve And Tony Which Isn't What I Wanted To See From Them In This Movie...
Of All The People Who Should Be Happy To See Steve, I Expected It To Be Tony As After Learning Alot About His Father In The Last Iron Man Movie He Most Likely Would Have A Lot Of Questions About Him To Ask Steve, Like What Was My Father Like Back Then? Was He More Like Me Than I Believed He Was? And As We Saw In One Scene In First Avenger Him And Tony Were Definitely Alike In A Similar Fashion And It Pissed Me Off That We Never Got That But A Fight Over Who's Ego Is Bigger? Tony Or Steve? Instead Which I Would Have Prefered To See In A Sequel Rather Than This...

Electric Meadows Session 1 Summary
Around 1:20 AM, a transmission comes through the illicit Security Department radios throughout the Corral members’s various locations. “Three dead in car crash out to EMDRI, car totaled but no evidence of cause, purple residue found in and around the crash site.”
Dustin Scritchfield (played by @spookyshitposts) immediately goes to investigate the car crash. There’s 5 people already there: 2 Security Department officers (cops), 2 Electric Meadows Desert Research Institute (EMDRI) scientists, and an undercover Corral militia member. The car crash, a smoking wreck of tangled metal and rancid purple goo. Dustin rolls 6 ‘Investigate a Mystery’ against a cop, sees nothing.
Rolls 11 ‘Manipulate Someone’ against cop to lie about knowing one of the scientists. Dustin then goes over to talk to Dr. Soldez, who is very clearly the Carlos WTNV archetype. Dustin asks what Dr. Soldez knows about the “gak” at the crash. They talk about gak for some time: Dr. Soldez talks about the chemical composition and possible source of the compound itself. The purple goo is supposedly a byproduct of fuel usage by some kind of nuclear engine.
When asked, Dustin reveals his name to be "Bustin". Dr. Soldez believes him, for the moment. They talk more about gak and it being late or rather early, and chemicals and such. Dustin returns to town, disappointed that he didn’t really learn anything.
Back at the Sieve, Lyra Ross (played by @lesbian--susie) is talking about the radio transmission with Jenny, the bartender and owner of the Sieve, over a glass of sweet tea . Jenny assures Lyra it's not a big deal, that there are people out there to deal with it, but Lyra is still worried.
Just as they’re about to go to bed, Dustin busts in yelling about “the purple gak” to a confused Lyra and an exhausted Jenny. Lyra asks Dustin to explain, Dustin gives her a rundown of ‘big shitty monster kills people and gets the yucky purple gak everywhere’ and Lyra is not having it. Jenny suggests going to bed and letting Dustin canvas for a task force in the morning. Everyone goes to bed or at least home.
Next morning, Anatolia Carrington (played by @alaspoor-yorick) is in her medical office, getting herself coffee while trying to fix Mr. Clean, a jailbroken Cybro cleaner bot that is obsessed with cleaning every microbe and millimeter of the clinic. Mr. Clean is being especially bastardous because he ran into a doorframe pretty hard while carrying a tray of scalpels.
As Anatolia is struggling to juggle all the things in her hands, Ironhorn (the leader of the Corral and beefcake extraordinaire with Literal Metal Horn Implants) knocks on the door. Anatolia tells them to come in, then shoves her coffee in their hands. They take a sip and make a face because it’s Anatolia’s “disgusting awful potion.” They make small talk and vaguely talk about the radio transmission last night, but Anatolia is distracted. She mentions possibly swinging by the Sieve later once Ironhorn sends someone to fix Mr. Clean.
At the Sieve, Lyra is about to head to her first job at Dustin’s Bistro when Dustin busts in again. He gives Lyra the keys, and they and Jenny talk awkwardly about sleep for a bit. Jenny makes a promise to feed Ferdinand (Lyra’s rat son) and offers to make Lyra dinner for when she gets home from her many jobs. Ironhorn comes in and says hello, and waits for Dustin to explain more about the “gak monster” situation. Dustin fumbles that, and Ironhorn goes over to their regular spot at a high table.
That’s when Lyra finally decides to head out, and she walks directly into Anatolia. Lyra stumbles awkwardly and mumbles apologies before running across to the Bistro, still muttering.
Anatolia is unfazed, she orders some eggs from Jenny and sits down at a table near Ironhorn. She and Ironhorn talk more, about the Vultures (biker gang of rowdy 19-23yos) and cram (bad for your gums). Then they start talking about the gak monster report, and Dustin busts in with what he knows.
Dustin explains his connection to the monster: he and his sister Annabelle were the first two victims of this thing, and Annabelle didn’t make it. Since then, Dustin has been tracking this thing and trying to collect all the information there is on it. He explains the details of the thing itself: it was originally made by a Cybro scientists as a secret project, but after the thing went rogue that scientist disappeared. It’s a big strong self-regenerative robot flesh monster that emits radiation as well as a purple goo with the consistency of “shitty vaseline.” All the attacks have taken place in the same area as the car crash, and it seems to be “enraged” by water.
Anatolia gets Ironhorn to take over her clinic (rolled 9 on Manipulate Someone) for the day while she goes out with Dustin to get supplies and investigate the crash site again. She takes Dustin back to her clinic, where Dustin grabs some bleach and Anatolia gets her sniper rifle.
Mr. Clean is upset at the muddy bootprints Ironhorn left, but after a struggle Anatolia locks him back up in his charging pod and heading out with Dustin.
Later that day, just after 8pm, Lyra is closing up Dustin’s Bistro, and Dr. Soldez comes in. He’s connected the dots on “Bustin the concerned citizen” aka beefy weirdo who knows more about the monster than he should and Dustin Scritchfield, one of the first victims of the monster.
Lyra is naturally suspicious of this random scientist coming in right before closing time. And after hearing the radio transmission and Dustin’s (incredibly lengthy and detailed) description of the man last night, she’s pretty sure she knows what this is about. She does something she hasn’t done in quite some time: tunes in to Dr. Soldez’s thoughts (Investigate a Mystery (using move Telepathy): 8). His thoughts are disorganized, and he doesn’t know if he should be doing this, and as Lyra listens Dr. Soldez begins to feel paranoid that he’s been found out.
Dr. Soldez asks Lyra to tell Dustin to call him, and Lyra asks him for his real personal phone number. (Manipulate Someone: 3) Dr. Soldez begins to write a number, gets about 4 numbers in, and then crosses it out and writes a different one. Then he leaves awkwardly, leaving Lyra disoriented and suspicious.
