Got myself a Kokuyo Jibun-Techo planner! I haven’t used a physical planner in a minute but I wanna see if it becomes a game changer this time. I have several things coming up in the next few months and I also wanna have less screen time, so hopefully this works out for me 🤞🏽

the jibun techo is a nice planner made by Kokuyo. their website ALSO has the jibun on sale, there are 4 different options. Standard Diary (3 books, the vertical weekly planner, the ideas book, and the life book), Biz (the planner stuff, but in "business" colors mostly), Lite (just the vertical weekly planner), and Days [undated, daily].

After months of denial/bargaining, I've finally decided I can no longer go through with the professional accountancy qualification. Years' worth of failed exams prove I don't have what it takes to be one of those prestigious professionals.

But it's not like my life has ended. I've been contributing labor to the farm that my parents are starting.

Other than playing Old School Runescape a lot, I had been obsessing with planners for 2024, and gotten a Hobonichi Techo Weeks (to note interpersonal tasks and chores) and a Kokuyo Jibun Techo Lite (to track time related to writing fics).

For the month of December, I uploaded two chapters for Dainty Sidesteps (Doom fanfic). I could ride on the momentum, but Birdbrain wants me to return to other existing fics and give them attention, too.

With AmCyb at 27 chapters, rereading from the start to dive back into the altered canon is... strenuous. Birdbrain and I are working on a Summarized Recap series of sheets to help point out which parts on which chapters will be relevant to what's appearing next.

Is it weird to take note of anniversaries of when the first chapter of a fic went up? Birdbrain doesn't care if it's weird, at least. We wrote down the dates and fics in the year section of the Jibun Techo Lite.

Hii! I'm so sorry for the late reply! The planner in that post was a Jibun Techo Biz in the B6 size, and its by the brand Kokuyo :)

Mandy! Do you use yearly planners? 👀 I've decided to look up planners online instead of just going to a local bookstore and picking up the best they have, and boy have I discovered how complex (and expensive!) they can be! I'm currently obsessed with a Jibun Techo, both the standard edition and Days, but Hobonichi Techo cousin is great too. Do you use physical planners or just digital? I'm curious! I haven't gotten anything but man, they're so fun to look at.

Hi there! I love a good planner — and yes, they can get very expensive depending on how fancy you want it to be. 😅

This is the basic planner I currently use for work:

It’s from Paper Source and I’ve been using it since August (even though it says 2023, the planner starts at August 2022).

I like having a physical planner because I find that I’m more likely to remember what I need to do for the week when I can physically write my list of tasks down with a pen rather than typing it on my phone/computer. I also like having a physical record of my work so that when my annual performance review rolls around and my boss asks me what I’ve achieved over the last year, I can flip back through my planner and see all the projects I worked on.

Personally, I wouldn’t spend more than $25 on a planner, but if there’s one you really like and you know you’re going to get a lot of use out of it for work/school then it may be worth the investment. I just know I’m a disaster so if I spill coffee on my planner, or it gets wet in the rain, or my dog chews on it, and I paid more than $25 for it, I’ll be upset. 😂

Jibun Techo Biz for 2022

I know I'm a week late, but the only reason I'm excited for 2022 is that I will be using Jibun Techo Biz for the first time. This will help me plan life because I never really thought I'd live past 27. 😌 Last September, I bought my Jibun Techo Biz from Rakuten JP and shipped it to PH via @buyandship.ph . No regrets! I'm happy with the bookmarks because I have always been too lazy to flip the pages towards the present day and month. There are also Gantt Charts to track stuff (for example, am I still alive? did I cry today? shade, shade). 😘 Fun sections are included to track books and movies I like as if I watch other stuff besides anime, j-drama/shows, and original films. Ha! There's also Recommendation List. ✨ This will be dedicated to my budol friends. It can easily fit anywhere, and I can also bring it whenever I want to, not that I have anywhere else to go. But what I really like most about this is its premium MIO paper. It's so smooth, and it doesn't bleed -- I used Pilot Kakuno EF Fountain Pen (for the ink, ask @poetryjunkies because I really forgot.) It's so pretty, and it doesn't feel guilty to write bad words and rants.
