God I can't really stand JK anymore.

Everything regarding him went a downhill since 2023. The way he behaved changed a lot.. LIKE A LOT now he's way cockier as if no one in the whole world can top him and he doesn't need to listen to anyone giving even good advises, how he used to present himself and looked changed drastically now he looks like a junkie, how he used to perform changed so much now he doesn't half half the energy or stage presence and doesn't give af about making mistake a ton times while before he used to perform with extreme perfection. He's listening to their PR teams too much like where did I go live when I miss fans went ? Now he's listening to their cheap promo tricks. His work ethics is completely opposite from what BTS was.. he's working with payola king of the whole industry and buying success. Releasing a 100 version and a western collab with some B grade pop artist. The songs he releasing are basically shit now when he used to release magic shop, film out, your eyes tell and still with you kind of gems.

The ONLY thing connecting me to him now is Jimin. There's no way to avoid JK when you are a Jimin stan. But i'm WAITING for the day Jimin finally open his eyes and get out of this toxic relationship so I don't want to put up with him anymore.

You see, your problem is that Jungkook is not Jimin. That's your problem. Half way through your comment, I smiled to myself and I thought well this Anon would certainly love Jimin then if these are the qualities they looking for in an idol. only to get to the end of the Ask to find out you actually do like Jimin💀

That complicates things for me.

Where should I even begin

There's nothing wrong with having a preference. There's nothing wrong with having a bias.

I'm not gonna come for your throat on this.

You prefer Jimin's work ethics and prefer how seriously he takes his public relations, how he puts on effort and that's alright.

BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO HATE JUNGKOOK just because he's not YOUR PREFERENCE.

If you keep that up you and I gon have a problem.

Do I think Jungkook can take a page or two out of the Jimin idol manual? Sure.

As much as I looove seeing Jungkook live his life on his own terms not giving a fuck what anyone cares- some times, in certain areas I do think he could use that self regulation.

Yet on the other hand, I don't find Jimin's over regulation appealing either. I've ever said his kumbaya persona, caring too much what others think, trying to be perfect, self regulated, evolved, controlling his words, his attention, being overly polite, smiling when he should be cussing people out all in the name of his consciousness of the fact he is an idol really REALLY FRUSTRATES ME.

Jimin struggles with this. The never mind tattoos, the song lyrics yearning for freedom, set me free- where do you think that comes from?

I don't know how we can call ourselves stans and not sense some of these things: the members constantly telling him not to care what people would think, to do whatever he wants,- even Jungkook openly reminding him HE IS AN ADULT and shouldn't care about certain things.

Jungkook is good for Jimin and Jimin is good for Jungkook.

Jimin is the leash and restrain Jungkook needs and Jungkook is the freedom Jimin craves.

Please don't come for jikook I'll paint you and it ain't going to be pretty.

Also remember, this is a human being you are talking about. He is not an alien. He is human just like you. That vitriol and animosity towards him is so not necessary.

I can't help you unhate him.

But please, be a good human.

He is a relatively young man navigating overwhelming situations. I personally think going solo has taught him so much and there is much more he'd learn along the way.

And please, it's slander to say he half ass his performance- have you seen his tiktok? THE THIBGS HE CAN DO WITH HIS WAIST- MY GOD!

Oh and did you see Tae's smoke challenge? I may or may not be addicted to the part he wines his waist- lolay lolay lolay

Liste, the point I'm making here is, It's his journey and his choice to decide the type of idol he wants to be. You may like it or you may not. That's a you problem. However he's responsible for his own reputation and his own success in the industry and I think he is still learning to hone his values and filter his choices through those values.

Give that man a break .

Jikook and Chusoek and the Guardian of the Moon

(or, the legend of Daltokki)

On the day of this important holiday, I'd just like to remind everyone that the Chusoek moon - the fullest, brightest moon of the year - appears in public park installations, shop displays, on greeting cards, and in photo zones all across Korea at this time of year. It's everywhere.

That same moon also appears on Jungkook’s shoulder, highly stylised to emphasize the legendary Moon Rabbit (Daltokki, 달토끼) who lives on the moon making rice cakes.

Why choose this?

We know that every piece of Jungkook's tattoo is meaningful to him, the imagery choices he's made are not random. The Daltokki moon takes up a lot of real estate on his inked arm, so I looked into the significance of this particular story.

So what IS the story of Daltokki, the Moon Rabbit?

The legend of the Moon Rabbit is significant in many East Asian cultures and there are several variations of it.

In the Korean version of this story, the rabbit offered himself up to feed a starving old man, who was in fact a king of the gods, disguised as a beggar. The old man was so touched by the rabbit's sacrifice that he revealed his true identity and sent the rabbit to be the guardian of the moon. Now the rabbit lives on the moon, tirelessly pounding ricecakes under a cinnamon tree.

There's probably some significance to the Chuseok hiloliday itself, since it falls close to his birthday. In fact it falls neatly between both Jimin and Jungkook’s birthdays. But i believe there is something else, something much bigger happening here...

So just to recap:

Jungkook has a rather large tattoo of the moon that is designed to show the rabbit Daltokki.

The rabbit who is the guardian of the moon.

This determined and steadfast rabbit who celebrates, and cares for, and protects his beautiful, shining moon?

Let's take another look at the tattoo:

It's significantly large, situated on his shoulder like the sleeve patch you might wear if you were in the armed forces or the police department or some other organisation that has an insignia for identification.

The moon is surrouded by a decorative flower border, the kind so frequently seen in Korean imagery, creating a sort of ... emblem.

Like a badge of office, or perhaps a badge of honour?

So it looks like Jungkook has inscribed on himself, an insignia that identifies him as the guardian of Park Jimin.

Another tattoo, like the JM on his finger, that makes an irrevocable statement to love, honour and cherish... because isn't that what a guardian does?

oh to be a fly on the wall when jungkook goes to the tattoo shop to touch up his JM tattoo... imagine the conversation between him and his tattoo artist,

"yeah please do this one and this one. just these two letters. thanks."

Poly C has Jikook's names tattooed on them. You don't do that unless you and your client are close. Like proper close. I believe Jikook and Poly c are very close and even hang out together. (Think he might be a member of the community too but that's neither here nor there) Which means he knows they're a couple.

The Jikook stuff he keeps reposting from Jikookers, you know he has to have talked to Jikook first and go10 the go ahead. So he knows everything. And he does this all the while hating tkkrs with a passion.

Not all Jikookers are well behaved so I'm sure some also DMed him to ask if Jikook was real. But he only cursed out the vermin. Told them he was blocking them and he proceeded to do so.

My point: Poly C knows what the JM stands for so I'm sure JK doesn't even have to ask atp.

Some of your anons today...😂 That one should go explain Jungkook's tattoos to him so he knows what they actually mean. Also they're straight up lying, people noticed the A was an upside down V right away. One infamous Jikooker posted a tweet about how they couldn't wait for clearer pics to come out to prove it was a standard A to prove everyone wrong, even though it was obviously an upside down V. As a person with a few tattoos myself, that really irks me. No the J wasn't there after the first session and neither were the crosses between his knuckles. At the time, people spreading rumors about him and a tattoo artist said the J was added for her (Mijoo) and so were the crosses because she had the same on her hands. Turns out lots of other people had crosses like that because it was kind of a signature of the shop. On a non-ship note about the tattoos, I personally think he has the most aesthetically pleasing tats of any idol. I don't know how he combined that many separate ideas into one sleeve and made it look great, but it's clear he has put a lot of thought into the symmetry and overall picture. It's really beautiful.

I have two tattoos myself (small ones though), and I can totally see Jk going to get his first tattoos and indeed thinking of dedicating them to army. Jkkrs make everything Jk does about Jimin. They strip away important parts of him only to justify their ship. I truly wonder what they think Jk does for himself.

Didn't i say here that wait for jk to go live and say he wanted to join special forces but couldn't because of tattoes? He wasn't thinking about government when he got his tattoos, let's be real. He barely thought about the tattoos in itself and got a whole sleeve in a week that turned out really ugly and that's why he then had to keep changing his tattoos for the next three years. He regretted most of his sleeve. He got them without giving much thought about them, got a matching tattoo with his 97 line friends and even got matching tattoos with the whole tattoo shop crew, who were people he'd known for like a month. So I really don't think enlistment even crossed his mind back then. And, even if it did, he would've got the tattoos anyways because that's just who he is.

That being said, I don't know if it's about the tattoos or why he couldn't go to that specific unit. Some people said because he has a minor criminal record (that time he crashed into a taxi with his car). I really don't know and don't care to know about units or divisions or the requirements for it.

However, I don't think I need to know all that to know that enlistment it's a combination of a few things; rules, obligations, prohibitions, goals, abilities, not a romantic or sentimental decision.

Right before the live happened, I wrote that post about how they were probably advised and made decisions based on personal goals and limitations. After writing that post, they went live, and Taehyung says the exact same thing on the live: that he made his choice because he has a goal. Jungkook saying he wants to do special forces probably means that he had more choices, and for some reason he couldn't or just didn't go through with it. I will still stand by my opinion that the whole thing was not a sentimental decision and they had logical, strategic reasons for their choices.

Also, as I was watching some clips from the live I thought about how shy Jimin is. He got even more closed up and shy since the pandemic. Jungkook isn't the friendliest, most open person out there, either. The rest aren't as shy or reserved. You do with that what you will. Even that would be a decision based on, like I've said, personal limitations. Jin being in the picture for at least six months is definitely deliberate, as well. As Jimin has mentioned, he talked a lot with Jin on the phone while he was there.

Personally, I too would choose to go with a friend. Millions of people even enrol in college together because they're wary of going alone into a new, unknown environment. It makes the most sense out of the whole thing. I imagine a lot of people try it out as well, and it works for some and not for others. Namjoon will probably get an office job, and he couldn't apply for that anways. Taehyung has something else in mind, and his friend already served in that place he's going. He might even already have connections or acquaintances there.

Finally, I wanted to say that the argument that "Taehyung could've gone with him" is so dumb to me, sorry. Thousands of gay men who are in relationships enrol in the military probably every day, and not all of them choose to go together. Probably NONE of them choose to go together, actually. It's ridiculous coming from jikookers to use "he could've gone with him" when jikookers also spent like two years crawling up the walls and making up conspiracy theories of why jikook seemed to hang out with everyone except each other. "They could've gone together" was also valid for a lot of stuff the past two years, regarding jikook.

I also wouldn't think too much about them following the account honestly too. They follow a TON of jkkrs. And this account, other than their name, isn't posting anything *too* shippy. It's moments of jikook, and updates on things they are wearing/doing. Still shippy, but not too obnoxious over it either. Im pretty sure they follow Jimin, Jungkook and Jikook accounts because they are fans of those 2 and have worked with them a lot on various tattoos, permanent and otherwise. And the other account sharing stories from KookminAreDating are again, because they get tagged in it and are confirming that jikook are wearing their items and are sharing that promo! Honestly though, I can 100% chalk this up to promo and the username is in English. Although it's still funny and cute and does raise minimal eyebrows. Nothing will beat JK seeing the orignal username in Hangul though, and adding them to his private club In a mobile video game. Jimin is the leader of the Mens liberation movement in BTS. He is the one member who consistently opposes toxic male gender ideologies.

Taemin recently explained how he and Jimin are similar in that their androgy allows them to embody both masculine and feminine identities in their performances.

He's the member who showed BTS it is okay for men to give each other gifts wear rings on their pinkies without that being gay or weird and his constant shipping of Jin and Namjoon and himself and Jungkook as a couple should imply he is not repulsed by the idea of men loving eachother.

Thinking of physical confrontation is a bit of an overreaction?Taekookers are acting up because they are now getting taekook content.It is higly unlikely anyone from that group will hurt JK or Jimin.Specially when JK is half of their preferred ship.Also on twitter more Tae fans fight on behalf of Jimin against Taekookers than Jimin fans do for Tae against Jikookers.No one is physically attacking anyone.

This type of inflammatory remarks and overreaction should be reserved in thoughts only.

Excuse me, Nonie, but no, absolutely NOT. Now is exactly the time to raise the alarm.

I'm not sure which parts of Twitter you hang out on, that you can remain blissfully unaware and think the majority of Taekookers fight on behalf of Jimin or champion JK as half of their ship (instead of treating him like a prop), but why don't you join some JM and JK report accounts for a few weeks and take a good long look at the daily hate comments, death and rape wishes, stalking tips, and targeted attacks toward JM and JK fans? Stay on those accounts for at least a month so you can see how many Taekookers get suspended and then make new usernames and come right back on to keep doing it. The volume will shock you.

Now I would expect some cat-fighting online and for Taekookers to constantly comment on their ship on the Vlives. People are people. But unlike the other fanatics and shippers, unhinged Taekookers and Jimin-antis have:

--doxed Jimin's personal info online (a huge security risk)

--published photos and private info about Jimin's family members (invasion of privacy)

--bashed JK and Jimin in group chats and then campaigned online by trending the "Free Taekook" type hashtags (defamation, lies)

--paid serious money to fly to Korea and show up at the airport with "Taekook is Real" signs where the boys saw (proximity, extreme behavior)

And in an effort to prove their ship and out two supposedly closeted members, Taekookers have harassed:

--a child from a music video

--Tae's hairdresser

--a necklace maker

--a ring maker

--collaborating musicians and artists

--models on instagram

--models in Paris

--an actor whose partner died

--JK's brother

--JK's tattoo artists

That's just what I have seen as a very new Army and remember off the top of my head. I'm sure if I went digging, I'd find more.

And look, Jikookers aren't angels--there are assholes in every subset of humanity. Jimin, Tae, and JK deserve better from everyone. But no one else is doing this amount of sheer toxic crap. Don't equate what some asshole Jikookers say about Tae; there's no way it's on the same level. This isn't normal fan behavior. They don't just celebrate their ship. Big accounts keep whipping up anti-Jimin sentiment and false narratives about Tae and JK. They flat out LIE. And I and other Armys are telling you: it is escalating.

Three years ago, Taekook fans used to say things like "Jimin and JK are just doing fanservice; Tae and JK's relationship is real and not for the cameras." Which was rude but not insane. NOW, some Taekook fans go around saying things like "Jimin is a slutty fat pig, a no-talent whore leech, who brags about doing charity work to cover up dodging his taxes and his father's right-wing connections, all while he fucks Bongo for payola on his songs that he makes with rapists, and then he forces poor Tae to watch him use JK's body for fanservice to appeal to Korean Jikook fans for money."

This kind of fantastical bullshit goes round and round until more and more people start to believe some or all of it (or they stop fact-checking it and shutting it down because it's exhausting). It's not just defamatory, it's dangerous. It's right up there with the smear campaign that Hillary Clinton runs a child sex trafficking ring out of the basement of a pizza shop in DC. Folks laughed that off and said not to indulge such fantasies with attention, right up until a crazed patriot with a gun showed up to shoot up the place.

Am I saying FOR CERTAIN that antis and/or Taekook fans are going to attack a BTS member? No, of course not. I don't have a crystal ball. But I am saying their unacceptable behavior is escalating, and BEFORE it turns into orchestrated blackmail or becomes violent towards members or other fans who don't support the Taekook narrative, we all need to shut it down. The company, the members, Army, and other Taekookers especially need to work to shut it down.

There are crazy people in every fandom and always have been and it shouldn't be our responsibility to police their thoughts--but their actions reflect on all of us. And unfortunately a few psychos is all it takes to make a huge problem for everyone. This rabid subset of Taekookers are going from having feelings and opinions to having a faith narrative and taking invasive actions. So rather than sit around clutching our pearls or rolling our eyes or keeping our thoughts to ourselves, NOW is the time for Army to recognize the extent of the problem and actively call it out.

If after you do a bit more investigating into the dark side of BTS fandom, you still think I'm being inflammatory and uncalled for by raising red flags here--come off anon. Comment on this post. State for the record your defense of Taekookers. I'll bookmark it and circle back with you in a year. And if by then, everything died down on its own, and Taekookers didn't keep escalating their anti behavior, I will personally apologize for over-worrying and remove this post.

I hope I'm never too proud to admit it when I'm wrong. But Nonie? I'm not wrong. Our community needs to check this behavior before it gets so far out of hand that people get hurt. If that stance seems too controversial to you, it might be best we part ways here.
