Isn't it funny the reactions to different subsections of Fandom towards Jikook

Jikookers : All happy because he's been showing over and over again who's on his mind 24*7. They don't have jikook moments as such but is content because they both looks happy individually and together.

Taekookers : it's company arranged FS, they are forcing him to do this. JM is evil, he's sleeping with producers, guilt tripping JK, They are hurting both Tae and JK by this forced FS where JK is not allowed to speak about Tae.

JK solos : he's giving Jimin charity promotions for his flop album. It must be part of that company to use most popular member to promote Jimin.

JM solos : Jungkook did something bad towards Jimin so he's making up for it through this live. Jimin not commenting under his live is the proof.

Other solos : they are back it at again riling up their gay shippers but it's taking away attention from my Fav. But atleast my fav don't want to queerbait to get attention unlike company favorites.

"OT7" : conveniently avoiding JK dedicating his vlives to Jimin. They would've made hit tweet jokes if it was him doing it for either of hyung line especially Namjoon.

It is honestly really fascinating to see how so many people can all take the same piece of media and come away from it with all kinds of interpretations based on their own biases, life experiences, how they see things and what they already have in their own heads as "fact." Which is totally normal in everyday life about EVERYTHING. But within a fandom space, that can get dramatized in ways that it wouldn't otherwise due to how widely different some people's opinions are and how strongly everyone feels about those opinions because of this parasocial relationship. You certainly aren't wrong with how most of these different subsections of our fandom have, for the most part, been reacting to these Welives. Lol

And yeah, the double standard with jikook in particular for this fandom is extreme and probably always will be. Just gotta understand that will probably never go away unfortunately.

Like Crazy - new insights

This is the post I reblogged and the basis to my own post.

Yep. I had some of a post written way back in April 2023, but the pieces just didn't come all together for me.

After Muse's release and specifically after the BTB yesterday where JM discussed Who, Muse and the lyrics, we also saw the change made to Who's lyrics from "you" to "she" things started to clear up for me. But then, a friend also shared a picture of the original lyrics of Like Crazy, which were subsequently altered before recording. We discussed these changes and I now feel that this is it! This is the missing piece to my post.

I mostly left what I wrote over a year ago in tact, adding the missing pieces to this puzzle that makes this post with what I feel is a little more insight into Like crazy.

Needless to say, these are my opinions, how I see the lyrics, the ones that made the cut and the ones that stayed in JM's lyrics journal.

So, let's get started:

Here I was thinking I'm the only one who was seeing this...

I do hope I'm reading this right, before going off motormouth about something that maybe isn't what is being said, but to hell with it, this is something I've been thinking too and I'm just gonna come out and say it.

We're all over 18 here right?

This is a subject we can talk about?

The more I listen to this song, the more I think it to be true too.

First of all, before starting off, I want to link this ask:

**Shock and awe... "she" wasn't part of the original lyrics for Like Crazy . Colour me surprised to learn the same is true with Who (even though JM didn't actually write the song himself). Oh, and if we are on that subject already, how not surprising to see the process of writing the song with John Billion, who happens to be one of the writers of SNTY as well (me sitting here thinking of several words and references that could have been somehow suggested and inserted into the song. No idea who (nah, I'm telling lies, I know exactly who). How shocking (NOT) to see that the artist actually had input with the song lyrics of which he is not credited in writing.

Again, the depth of the song, the layers to the song and the multiple interpretations too.

JM told us this song is about him struggling. He told us he was going through a period where he was drinking too much. He was finding fulfillment in ways other than performing, as performing is part of him, he is a performer, someone who needs the stage to express himself. The stage is where he is at peace, the stage being a piece of him that he was missing.

We saw his outburst of emotions in the first day of MOTS ON:E (that was my first experience of BTS and he literally broke my heart - and later seeing him being mocked for it infuriated me).

This was October 2020, around 6 months into the pandemic. The uncertainty. This is their first online performance and from there until Muster another 9 months go by. We know from Festa 2022 that the pandemic screwed up all of their plans. The uncertainty, working on and releasing BE and then Butter and PTD everything leading up to the PTD online concert, a year after MOTS ON:E. For those that performing is their life, standing in front of an audience and giving it their all, it's a hard pill to swallow. The unknown, if they will ever get back to perform on stage in front of a live audience, when this is who they are, their essence, it can be unbearable. JM wasn't the only performer to go through this. It's just that he shared this with us. He showed us his pain and vulnerability and was mocked for it by many. Shame on them!!!

So, again, JM told us with Like Crazy, that he was filling in that hole. Alcohol was mentioned by him specifically. But listening to the song, I think it's quite clear that sex was a very big part of it as well. Looking for that rush, that high. It's clear as day, for me anyway, in the lyrics.

Those are the lyrics he recorded.

But you see, there were changes made to the lyrics he was working on originally, and we got to see some of them.

This specifically:

Reading this draft and the final ones there are a few things that just fall into place for me (and I'd think for anyone that reads them), loud and clear:

First of all, obviously JM is singing about drinking too much alcohol. If the final lyrics hinted to losing himself in alcohol, the draft lyrics are ever so clear regarding that point.

Second of all, the sex. I think JM was pretty straight forward using the wording he was using. "Give me a good ride" can be other things, if you twist it around to try and explain it away, but bottom line, those lines within the context of the lines in the draft, like "just go turn off the light, you and me..." not to mention the whole chorus, to me the reference is obvious.

Next, I talked about the many references to JK in this song in this post:

This is all also relevant when it comes to my next point being the fact that to me it's clear that JM wrote this song referencing a special someone with whom he shares a high level of intimacy. A special someone that was there by his side when JM was struggling. A special someone that was struggling seeing JM going through everything he was.

To that person JM wrote (in the draft): "oh baby don't you cry, just wanna see your smile..."

These lines, they were too much. Too obvious. Too intimate. And they were left out probably because of just that.

So JM went with other lines. A little less obvious perhaps, and yet still very telling. The finale of the song:

No, don’t you wake me (Wake me) I wanna stay in this dream, don't save me Don't you try to save me (Save me) I need a way we (Way we) I need a way we can dream on (On, on, on)

Now, you could claim that the song is about an inner struggle. JM struggling with himself, talking to himself, and yes, that could very much be part of the message JM, the king of layering, is going for. But see, that's exactly the point. JM is the king of layering, of having several meanings and messages within his lyrics and creations. And this is not different. There is no mistaking the reference to another person, not JM himself, in the lyrics. The way he uses the "you" in the lyrics, at times could pass as you being the alcohol, at times the you being himself in the mirror, but at times it's clearly a third party he is talking to. Especially in that finale to the song, that someone that wants to lift him out of that stupor he is in, to wake him up, to save him, when he is unwilling, not ready to accept that help just yet (same person he asks not to cry, knowing that he is making them sad). There are also the clear JK references in this song. The "you are me I am you" being the loudest of them all.

But JM being JM, he showed us in his own way what this song was about, opening up and allowing us to see his drafts.

And then he gave us Letter. Hidden, and private and intimate. Addressed not to us, but to that person that was always there by his side, that person he addresses in Like Crazy telling him "forever you and I". Now, in Letter, being in a better, healthier place, he can repeat the sentiment of them together forever. A sentiment JK had mentioned in the past (omg, that was so very awkward).

And now using lines like : "I sincerely hope we are forever" and "But don’t forget that we’re always together"...

The lyrics, the sentiments, the drafted lyrics that never made it, like the use of "Dangshin", I have talked about it all. Letter was for JK. Period.

When seeing Like Crazy again, the lyrics, the struggle, the person by his side, the intimacy, and Letter, I'm kind of thinking that not only is Letter a love ode to JK. That is stating the obvious. But it's also JM's acknowledgement and thank you to that person that stood by his side in his most difficult of times.

Bottom line:

Like crazy is about JM struggling and self medicating with alcohol and sex.

It's personal about himself, his struggles, but also includes a person that is there by his side, one he is highly intimate with, one who is there with him together. That person is there, spending the nights with him, in that escape world JM created for himself. Sad seeing JM struggle, trying to find a way to help JM out of that pit but being unable to do so, staying by JM's side all the same.

We know who that person is.

Same person he addresses Letter to.

hey:) I agree about what you said about a few subtle hints in public. One that always stumped me was the 1997 watch that JM wore on JKs birthday set to the time he was born?? and it sounds so far fetched to even say it but it (outwardly) appears to be true!! the numbers match. And it also seems that that specific watch will make an appearance in the Sapporo episodes if the one we saw briefly in trailer is correct.

It seems to weird to be true but it appears it is. Is this something you go along with too or ? I know some don’t like the number theory’s etc but things like 11/8 just seem to crop up too many times for it to be a fluke:’)

Oh yes I remember that. Tbh it's such a specific thing at a specific time that who else would think of it unless it was on purpose? Even disregarding the year the watch was made, I think that just the fact that it was set on Jk's birth hour (that ofc Jimin knows), on his birthday (real time was at night, Jk's birth is like 3 am) and that Jk has it literally tattooed on his arm, is evidence. Plus the angle that Jimin was resting his hand was clearly him wanting to show it to the camera up close (Not to mention the elephant in the room: Jimin was doing a whole welive during Jk's birthday and mentioning him several times and all of this after returning home from an event where he had a different watch).

The only thing is who was he doing it for cause the only ones who could even get what he was apparently doing are knee-deep jikookers and Jungkook himself if he squinted. So again we return to the idea that they do it for their own satisfaction and their own little coupley bubble. They try to express things in their own little special ways. It's like to them it doesn't matter that maybe not one person in the world would notice or understand, the only thing that matters to them is the gesture. It's enough if only the two of them know it (or even only the person doing it, in this case Jimin).

I don't really go deep nor analyze number theories since I don't have the patience for it (plus there're some amazing attentive blogs that do the job perfectly) but I do believe the basic things because they're a no brainier no? Basic couple stuff that ofc they do cause who wouldn't. Ofc they care about their anniversaries, their favourite numbers, their birth dates, the typical couple holidays, the relationship milestones (that the couples in korea are obsessed with btw).

The Untold Truth of Jungkook’s WeLives

I had the idea of this post in my mind for a long time, but I didn't know how to put it out. Since most Jikookers have noticed some kind of pattern in JK's livestreams recently, I thought maybe it's time to write this post and add my notions to the known theories and facts. 

Weverse, instead of VLive

Let’s go back one year in time. On June 16th, 2022, a day after BTS announced the pause in their group activities, which caused chaos due to media misinterpreting it as their hiatus or even disbandment, someone had to reassure ARMY about the continuation of BTS and do the damage control. And for some reason, JK was the one to be called for this duty. He started his first solo livestream in Weverse app in a place we had never seen before. That place had a few pieces of furniture from their Hannam dorm, rumored to be rented by Big Hit just a couple of weeks earlier. 

Months passed, and JK didn’t do any livestreams until his birthday came, and another assigned live in the Weverse app happened at the same place. Like the other six members (five, to be more accurate since Tae evaded this), he promoted his photobook and did the routine of his lives by singing songs and casually talking with ARMY. His next solo live happened after the World Cup performance in a Doha hotel room, and he didn’t appear in any Weverse lives for some time. 

Midnight Streamer

After doing only three lives in almost a year, all assigned by the company, JK came back to Weverse app on the first night of February, and this time it wasn’t an assigned livestream, but it was an unplanned and unauthorized one. He appeared at 2 AM singing songs, including Vibe, the newest release by Jimin. Since this live happened out of nowhere, Namjoon and later Tae tried to intervene and control the situation, then they realized there was nothing to worry about. 

The next JK live happened only two nights later around midnight, and Jimin was the first one to comment. JK was so excited to see Jimin’s comments and invited him to have chicken, but Jimin was too busy with his schedule (even at midnight) to accept his offer. A few days later, on the 11th of February, JK did a livestream at his boxing trainer gym, and again, Jimin was one of the first ones to comment. JK and his coach invited Jimin to resume his training and implied that they both train with the same coach. 

Unfortunately, this was the last livestream from that gym since JK’s privacy got invaded and videos of him doing work out there, were leaked by some stalker. A few weeks later, on the last day of February, JK did another live (this time around noon), and the same day, he deleted his Instagram account.

Is This the End?

You know that I’m among the hardcore believers of Jikook living together. And at this era, anons and non-anons kept asking me if I am still in my belief or not, since JK was showing up alone in the middle of the night, which was against this belief. But I couldn’t wrap my head around it because couples don’t suddenly stop living together unless they break up, which wasn’t the case because they weren’t acting like exes, since you don’t invite your ex for dinner or boxing together, you don’t go watch his dance practice and cheer for him. So, why were these all happening?

Jimin was getting ready for his solo debut at this time, and when the Bangtan Bomb for Jimin dance practices came out, we saw him talking about the strict diet he was on for keeping his weight around 50kg since dancers had to carry him for choreo. We weren’t strangers to Jimin’s strict diets before each comeback, but this statement was the information I needed to have my ultimate conclusion. Jikook had to stay separated for a short time because Jimin was working hard and dieting harder, and spending time with JK would work against his plans (he was literally inviting him for food in one live, remember?). This was the exact time JK started doing his routine livestreams from Brunnen because he had to stay there apart from his Jiminie hyung. But this was not the only conclusion I had from JK’s regular livestreams.

I’m Hyung’s Fan

In March, JK kept doing his livestreams which was a sign of the continuation of Jimin’s tight schedules. JK did one livestream on the 3rd day of March around 2 AM, and I don’t remember anything specific about it, but the next one was unforgettable. On March 14th, The White Day, when Jimin was out of the country for recording Jimmy Fallon show, JK did four consecutive livestreams from around 8 PM till midnight and played a playlist consisting of “There for You”, “Christmas Day” and “Nothing”, all Jimin-coded songs. He finished the fourth live a few minutes before midnight and reminded us that something amazing is coming at 00:00, which happened to be Jimin’s solo pre-release, Set Me Free Pt2. He changed his outfit three times in these lives from a black jacket to a white shirt and a purple jacket which at first didn’t seem to mean anything until Set Me Free MV and dance practice video came out.

The next JK Weverse live was another undercover promotion for his Jiminie hyung. A few hours before the official release of “Face” he came online and spoiled “Letter” the hidden song in the album he did the back vocals for. If you think JK was being obvious in promoting Jimin, then you should have watched the next WeLive he did. Four days after his last livestream, he came back online to watch the newest episode of Suchwita because Jimin was the guest. He admitted that he had never watched any episodes of this drinking show before, and after that, he watched other videos of Jimin on YouTube, letting the algorithm expose his bias. 

The next day, he answered Jimin’s comment about missing “ARMY” with “me too” and Jimin replied making it obvious that JK was missing “him”. The same day, Jimin did a livestream on his way back from pre-recording a stage performance, and JK spammed it with 19 comments. JK never did this for any other member. All the Hyung line had their solo releases too, but JK never did anything for them that was remotely close to what he did for Jimin. He obviously wasn’t lying when he commented ‘I’m Hyung’s fan”. 

I Really Want to Stay at Your House

After the end of Jimin’s solo album promotions, JK’s regular livestreams suddenly became less and less regular, and it was safe to say they were back to their normal living routine. I know Jikookers heard his voice in Jimin’s livestream after getting Billboard Hot100 No.1 on April 3rd, but I’m not going to go there. JK did a short WeLive on April 8th before his trip to LA, but it was a different story, he did that to explain the situation earlier happened in the house. On the 18th of April, when Jhope was enlisting, we saw Jikook’s passionate hug and hinting about the drinking they had the night before, proving again that they spend a lot of time together in their free time.

On April 25th, Jimin traveled to NYC for a Tiffany event and recorded his latest collaboration, and on the same night, JK appeared in Weverse app for another livestream, and the first song he played was named “I Really Want to Stay at Your House”. The next day he posted his food, and a few days later he attended the LV event after-party with Mingyu. On the 4th of May, he complained about a stalker sending food to his door in a Weverse post and threatened with legal action. Two days later Jimin came back from NYC, and JK went on socmed hiatus again. On May 21st he posted a cute photo of Bam, and on the 23rd Jimin left for London, and the next day JK came back to WeLive like a clockwork. 

I tried to review everything in chronological order, but I know I have spared lots of details. I don’t think this post needs any conclusion or further explanation because everything explained itself, and you are free to have your own concussion. JK doing livestreams or posting food photos only when Jimin is away or busy, promoting his work and adoring him the way we had never seen before, only has one reasonable explanation, and anything other than that is not valid.

I Might Be In the Minority But...

So after listening to numerous interviews Jungkook himself has given, both in written and video form, up to his WeLive a couple of hours ago, I will choose to not analyze anything related to the lyrical content of the songs on Golden.

I know, especially given certain words and phrases that were part of Standing Next To You, that it might be very easy for jikookers to find links - I've seen them already making the rounds. But in this case, it is really and truly just a coincidence.

Jungkook did not write any of the lyrics.

He stated that the major criterion for him choosing the songs he did was the genre.

In his interview with the Atlantic, he explicitly stated to not read anything into the lyrics and images associated with his album - that it is not meant to be autobiographical. And yes, we can also take this to mean that the overall heteronormativity of it as well should not be a focus either.

Long story short - my dearest jikookers, we don't have to stoop to the level of The Cult where we begin to overanalyze everything, in order to find some way to associate it with jikook. This is something we judge and criticize and laugh at them for. And in my opinion, it actually cheapens and dulls the moments (as with Letter), where we do have just cause to analyze lyrics and such.

I'm not saying that everyone can't have their opinions, we're all free to to that. And this is just mine. And I fully understand, like my title heading says, that I may be in the minority as a jikooker. But, say what.

This is no way sways me from my thoughts on Jimin and Jungkook's relationship, however. I'm still the biggest jikook supporter out there.

So, I'm going to choose to let this one sit out the analyses, and just enjoy Golden for what it is - Jungkook's first solo release that he is proud to have put out because he wanted to challenge himself with the language, the genre and his vocal abilities.

And didn't he succeed with flying colours!

The solos in your ask pretending they know what jikookers think and OF COURSE victimising their fav in the process. Never forget to victimise, otherwise you're not a true solo.

Meanwhile, actual jikookers : love the both of them equally, love that they love each other, will keep loving them even if it turns out they were just the greatest of friends who enjoyed giving each other blueballs, love Jimin's songs, love Jungkook's half naked welives, love Jimin’s cutest welives making legos, love Jungkook's songs, love love love.

I don't know about every other jikooker but you've summed up me and the jikookers who hang around my blog succinctly.

Which reminds me, someone brought up Larry and Louis complaining about how he can't break free from the rumors-

I don't expect Jikook- either of Jikook to ever come out and disrespect their bond minimize invalidate it like many fake ships do post the band phase era. Especially the ones who deliberately feed into those shipping narratives for clout.

Jikook's relationship is not founded on two people playing naughty just for shock factor. And if you've been in various shipping spaces for as long as I have you tend to pick up on these things very fast.

Performative bisexuality is real

Queer baiting is real

But some people just wanna be brazen for no reason at all.

And when you have that lens you quickly can tell which moments of Jikook is just that- two naughty boys who have no qualms feeling frisky with eachother or playing up that friskiness for the cameras.

We know all that. We see all that- but we also see beyond that, we see the thing that explains the subtext, and explains choices they make to the point we can even predict those choices before they make them and 9 out of 10 we'd be right.

Yet these people are consistently wrong about jikook. Tuktukkers are consistently wrong bout their ship because they can't tell what's real from what is a performance.

I'm gonna make one such prediction and yall mark my words:

Neither Jimin nor Jungkook will EVER deny their bond EVER.

FOR THE SIMPLE REASON ITS NOT FAKE

They will ALWAYS CHERISH their bond and speak fondly of what they share between them, honor it always in spite of whatever labels fans want to place on it.

They both mean something to eachother

THAT IS NOT FOR THE BENEFIT OF FANS

And I think what keeps them going is this baseline.

I can see them reminding themselves of this over and over that they hold on to that baseline whatever anyone says.

I think this is my second long term prediction I've made about two bts ships. Vmin and jikook.

In whatever years yall find me and remind me I told yall so.

Love is energy.

It cannot be created or destroyed but it can change form.

If a person can come out and say all these things that other ships come out to say about their ships when their ships no longer serve them, without acknowledging appreciating their actual bond then the bond was not there or strong to begin with

What happens in Vegas...

It's been a year since ...

A lot has happened in the past year.

Those glorious weeks in April 2022 in Las Vegas and the PTD concerts... hindsight... I should have tried to go. I didn’t know. We didn’t know what was coming. 

But I am going to see Yoongi soon! I thought my chance to be a part of the purple ocean had passed so I am very excited! I will talk more about that another time.

This past year, with the member's solo work so far, the world has started to really pay attention to BTS not just as a frivolous Kpop boy band but as serious music artists.

And even beyond, really embracing them at this point, not just as performers but as individual people doing what they can as South Koreans in a global community. It didn’t happen overnight. But the world is definitely watching now.

I watched Hobi's good-bye to Army welive this morning. I cried, I smiled, I cried along with him. I am going to miss him so much I can hardly keep it together right now as I type these words.

A year ago in Las Vegas:

I hope at some point in the far future the members will look back on this time and see that they had to grow up in front of the world's eyes and I’m sure they will do a hard cringe at a lot of it, but I hope they’ll see how much they were loved during this time. They will come to know that everything they did and our responses to those things are what will make them the men they will become.

As hard as it is knowing they won't be back together as a group for a while, I am savoring this solo era because I have learned SO MUCH about each of them as they roll out their projects.

This is my acknowledgement of the joke that is the BBHot100. It's dead to me at this point. I won't be discussing it further.

Kanmom, I haven't seen this moment talked about - correct me if I'm wrong - so I'm submitting it to you, for your objective opinion and to check my delulu-ness.

It's one of Jimin's welives on the go, in the car. The 16-minute one on or about March 28. It's still daytime and he's got his grey hood up and make-up still on (and looking gorgeous).

Around 10:18, he says that this is fun and now he gets why JK does welives like this. Then the driver and/or manager asks, is [the welive] over? JM says no, laughs heartily, says it's fun, and then seems to assure manager-nim, it's ok, it's ok.

This got my jikooker antennas tingling. Why would the mention of JK signal to his manager that the welive is over? Because he's not supposed to talk about JK unless specifically referencing a comment from JK himself or an ARMY comment about JK? Or because he's always talking about JK in his downtime?

Anyway, I dunno if I'm reaching but this moment was fascinating for me because we NEVER hear a manager in a live. Even when they came into JK's hotel room when he was getting stalker calls, they entered and took the phone out of the situation in silence. And, of course, there are those old, sus vlives where JM has said it's a manager moving, but not talking, in the background.

Even if this was not a thing, JM being so kind and reassuring to Mr. Manager who was probably going, oh shit, I'm so sorry! You weren't done?! was so cute to see. He is really the sweetest.

Yes @jiminsthighsfr, I did notice the whole manager/driver thing that went down. And no, I have no idea why he started talking.

Now, it's not like they arrived at their destination. We can still see the car bouncing around. So why did the manager or driver say that (not sure which it was)?

Now, that could be him calming them because they spoke while he was still live, or that could be him calming them because of whatever the reason was for that person to ask if it was over, cough JK cough.

It's a little hard to think it didn't have something to do with JM mentioning JK seeing that's exactly when the manager/driver saw fit to ask the question...

Could the manager have thought it was over because JM mentioned his name or more so talked about JK's lives?

Went back to watch the whole thing. To see if this is the first time JM mentions JK's name out of context, meaning if this is the first time he says his name not reading a comment or reacting to one...

So up to that point JK hadn't commented yet, and although JM did mention JK it was always by reading a comment and answering it.

That statement about it being fun, that came out of no where.

Perhaps the person thought he was commenting about the live, or more like it being over, especially because he brings up JK independently.

If he wasn't fully paying attention he could have thought JM was done and talking to himself or to him kind of saying : "this was fun, now I see why JK does this".

I do have thoughts about certain guidelines they were given with regards to interactions and mentions. Let's not be naive here. For two members whom we all know were considerably the closest with each other in the group, inseparable would be the word to describe them, to go dead silent, not to be seen together, not to be paired together, not to be interacting with each other even when they are with others, like not at all, that's not a choice.

I keep repeating this time and time again. There is a reason JK did what he did with his IG account. Not everything is about them being a couple, obviously, but definitely some of it is.

And the way JM had to think out his answer to the question if he saw JK's photos that came out... adding Tae into the mix, even if he wasn't asked about him. Man had to think strong and hard before coming up with handsome? Saying he saw the video. Handsome? Really JM? I can think of other words that were probably floating up there in his mind. Probably also the reason it took him so long to come up with handsome, lol.

Hey, i would like to know your thoughts on the BE Welive that happened in March 2021 and timestamp 34:00 forward (i think) . I noticed first that Jk sat almost the entire time with his whole body facing Jimin and in that very timestamp, Jimin was saying something and Jk was watching him with a smile in his face which is normal but what was a lil abnormal for me was the fact that even after Jimin stopped talking, Jk continued to look at him with a smile kinda like he got lost in Jimin and you could literally see the moment he catches himself and looks at the camera. This is one moment i think about alot and i would love to hear your thoughts on it! Also, have you noticed that so many times while in concerts or pretty much anywhere, Jk usually has his entire body turnt to Jimin when Jimin is making his ending speech or pretty much doing anything? Another example is that episode of ITS where Jimin woke up late (as usual) and was the last to Join the rest of the members at breakfast and immediately he came in we had Jk sitting and facing him with his entire body. I have only really noticed Jk do this ONLY with Jimin (i could be wrong abt only) but i’m pretty sure it is something he does atleast MOSTLY with Jimin and i’m not even sure he realizes that he does it. You can’t fake stuff like that and that is one of the things that made me sideeye Jikook. Another moment too happened last year, during PTD in soeul, while they were on stage and someone was making a speech or something and all the other members were seated on the floor. At some point Jk, who is seated close to Jimin turns and starts staring at him while he (Jimin) is listening to what Tae i think was saying at the time. Jk stares at him for sometime and quickly turns his head away when it seems like Jimin was about to look in his direction. This is another moment i think about ALOT. I can understand looking at someone when they are saying or doing something but why would he be looking at Jimin like that when he isn’t even doing anything and someone else was speaking at that point? I would have added photos but for some reason i can’t. I hope you know the moments i’m talking about. Will love to hear what you think.

I feel like this one is referring to the live in Feb 2021 where Jungkook is in a blue shirt, Jimin in red, and both of them are seated next to each other on the (viewer’s) right side of the screen. Jimin was doing the acronym game and flopped the second letter, and Jungkook continued staring.

That moment is actually another favorite of mine that I clearly forgot about, but I remember at one point saying that I think I liked it more than MMA 2018, which had been no. 1 for the longest time in my book.

I generally disregard plenty of narratives where Jungkook is “staring” at a member, but the camera is dead on, and there’s no other activity around them and, more importantly, no one next to Jimin to mistake who or what Jungkook is staring at.

I think the reason why this is my favorite is because of how obvious his endearment (?) is when Jimin is neither doing or saying anything—literally.* I say “endearment” with a question mark (and this would also be applicable to my thoughts on MMA 2018) because I’m not Jungkook. That’s what it looks like to me, but without his direct input on the matter, I’m speculating.

* If you’ve not been here for a while, what I typically prioritize in figuring out pair dynamics is behavior. A lot of ship-related things usually end up being fluff to me, even if it’s fun fluff. I form opinions based on how they interact, which is why this blog experiences frequent downturns when there’s nothing to see.

The look on his face can span the gamut of endearment, amusement, admiration, comfort, etc., but I think it’s inarguable that whatever his thoughts or feelings might be, it’s a positive one. I’m not saying it indicates a relationship or not, whether there’s an implication of attraction or not, but it is a sweet moment on video that doesn’t leave a lot to the imagination.

Jungkook’s consequent, split-second reaction in which his eyes widen as if realizing he’s just gazing at Jimin at this point when attention is no longer needed is, again, somewhat speculative because it can be read a different way. Such possibilities exist, and I’m aware of what they could be, but I find that there’s very little wiggle room in this context. There are two things off the top of my head that could explain it, but this is one of those rare instances where I feel rather strongly about my first conjecture.

Anyway, it doesn’t prove anything, but it’s one more aspect to their dynamic that provides a little more depth.

Edited to add: I didn’t watch PTD in Seoul, but like with a lot of their stage activity, it’s hard to formulate an opinion without knowing Jungkook’s behavior towards the other members when they’re also talking.
