When having sex, O'Brien and Bashir do not kiss on the mouth in a "just bros rubbing one out keeping it friendly" kind of way. But Garak and Bashir dont kiss on the mouth in a "i'm desperately in love with him and holding that back by the skin of my teeth and if he shows me an ounce of tenderness i will start crying" kind of way. My brain, constantly:

What if I put Miles completely out of his comfort zone by having Julian breaking down, and he didn't really know what to do so he just pulls him into a hug hoping that'll be enough. And then at some point he gives him a soft kiss on the head because Keiko's the only person he usually hugs like that and he's on autopilot. But Julian lets out a content little hum so Miles kisses him again very gently just because he can. Or maybe Keiko's watching fondly from the doorway and is like "hah, I think he liked that" and comes over to kiss her husband and join in with the gentle Julian petting.
